Craving spacefaring sci-fi adventure (CLOSED, Thank You!)

I have been haunting the RP ads for the last week. At first, I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for.  After a lengthy sit down discussion with my muse, we have agreed that there is one definite craving that is gnawing at us daily.

A freelance starship captain meets someone who requests an urgent ride ‘away from here’. The captain has been lonely of late, and doesn’t have any prior commitments.

Setting details open for discussion. Where is ‘here’? What kind of spaceship is it? Where are they going to go in order to get ‘away’? Is this Starfinder, and they are leaving Absalom station? Or Star Wars, and this person is leaving Corellia? Or should we leave it undefined and keep the creative space open for original content?

Similarly, character roles, genders, and races are up for negotiation. Character backgrounds, orientations, and motivations are also flexible. I have definite ideas about where we *could* take this, but wanted to leave it as open as possible to accommodate your ideas.

One Quirk that I want to entertain is the idea of not sharing our characters’ backstories before we start. Part of the fun would be the organic discovery of what the other character is about. If something comes up in-game that one of us wants to rewrite, we should make allowances for that. This is not a must-have, but I think that the process of learning about the other character during play would make for an exciting story.

I am a Lord, but I have played men, women, and herm/futa successfully in the past. I have written with both male and female partners successfully in the past. My partner’s gender is unimportant so long as the character is written well. My partner’s character can be any gender.

Up front: I am not looking for a submissive Captain and not looking for a MxM pairing.

I am deliberately keeping the creative space for this post as open as possible, at the risk of being a little too sparse on detail. Happy to spend time talking with potential partners to put real detail into a shared idea before we play it.
