Favorite TV series, movies, etc. I would also accept: podcasts, livestreams, audiobooks, interesting yotuube streamers or Twitch streamers, etc.

Honestly I'm just super curious what you might be currently let occupy your eyeballs and earholes!

Right now I've been alternating between The Boys audiobook but also watching the Youtuber Jacksepticeye play some horror games!

So what are you watching/listening to that isn't music?

For All Mankind

For the 4th time. And the 5th season can't come soon enough! It's such a great show and the alternate-history premise, on top of it being based on the space program, is really doing it for me.

I just finished another re-watch of 'The Office' (the US version) and I'm watching 'Mindhunter' again and bemoaning the fact that we never got another season. I'm trying to find new shows to get into when I have downtime, though. So I might use this post to add to my catalogue

I like it a lot so far. What I like is the pacing is good. A lot of shows I really love have a really annoying tendency to kinda...lag. And Invincible S1 has a brisk pacing. Mark's family dynamic is interesting as hell, and I also find myself sorta unconsciously looking for the Easter Eggs where various superpowered people are clearly references to mainstream stuff like DC/Marvel, etc.

It provoked me into buying the comic book because it got me into it enough to get interested in the original source material. :)

That's good! I don't know if I was in the wrong mindset, but I felt Mark a little more "annoying" in season 3? I dunno, I feel like he's being hypocritical and flip-flopping between being a good guy and a bad guy, ie, he'll never work with someone that's killed people, and yet he's killed some (by accident or not) and won't hold himself to the same standards...

Oh man. I started watching The Pitt on Max.

Fuck. This is probably the best medical show I've ever watched. I love how it's paced--each episode is one 'hour' in the ER, the burnout of medical professionals and their PTSD (including from Covid-19 pandemic) is addressed, etc. There's the occasional procedural 'blip' that suspends disbelief, but not at ALL on the level of other popular medical dramas.

The chest compressions aren't realistic, but they NEVER are in TV dramas. So I can forgive that.

Best point: thus far, no romantic subplots. The medicine is the interesting point, the lives of the doctors, nurses, residents, are the focus, as they work and practice in the ER.

After two episodes, this might be the thing I binge tonight.

Just finished the latest season of Singles Inferno and have been watching reruns of Too Hot to Handle (If only I were younger, single and Hot I’d love to be on either show). 

Waiting for a new season of The Circle (I actually did try out for this one).

Audiobook: Forging Hephaestus; Villain's Code Series by Drew Hayes

Gotta love a good superhero/supervillain story. I read his Super Powereds series first, and loved that instead of just degrees of power, he presented a world where there was an entire section of people who got powers that were uncontrollable and/or actively detrimental to their owners in various ways.

This series is instead a focus on those who didn't want to go hero, and aren't bad people, yet have been recruited by the villains because that is their best alternative to live life the way they choose.

I've been rewatching the original Netflix Daredevil series! Including the Defenders, because I saw the first episode of season 3 of Daredevil when it first came out and realized very quickly I was missing important information from Defenders, and hadn't gone back since it aired.

I have to admit, Defenders is a lot more slow than I was hoping. Which is a real shame, because I'm a big fan of all the characters.

I have been snared into watching those closeup vids of women's lips eating mostly different types of gummy or crunchy candy/desserts. My wife told me "That's somebody's fetish." Totally didn't occur to me; this whole time I've been thinking, "Dude, where she gets that candy? I want marshmallow corn on the cob so I can eat it sideways."
