I'm bored and I feel like music posting~

When it comes to my tastes, I've always gravitated more towards OSTs and metal covers (usually video games). I can't be the only one who loves to rotate characters in their brain to certain tracks right? :p It's like, this movie score is awesome, but the cutscene that I've choreographed in my head is better.

Anyway here's a few tracks that I've been obsessed with.

I have like three different metal/rock covers for spider dance lol, but I think this one is my fave.

Is it a cover if you're playing your own song but prog-metal this time? I dunno. It doesn't have as much texture as the original because it's playing with less instruments, but it's rad as hell.

This is a staple in my playlist when I'm trying to relax/ read a book. The original score is already fantastic but the piano version just gives it an aethery kind of feel.

Pokemon Black/White had a banging soundtrack

I started playing Yakuza 0 again recently and this one never fails to hype me up.

The choir part on the back half is chef's kiss.

It's perhaps not as mind blowing as the FF VII REMAKE Airbuster version, but I like it because it keeps the midi charm of the original.

EDIT: 

The original version from Final Fantasy IX is probably--unreservedly--the best overworld theme in VIDEO GAMES in my opinion, but Pontus went and made it BETTER, mostly by just layering in more instruments in smart ways. So it still feels very clean like the original despite the additions.

This one was hard for me to track down because I know nothing about Touhou, but I do love UN Owen Was Her. I happened to see a clip of the anime by chance and was like "I need this piece of music". I just wish the first half was longer.

That version of Heart-Shaped Box is AMAZING! I also love the cover of Paint it Black from Westworld.

Right now, I'm utterly obsessed with the Sinners score (and soundtrack). This movie has had its hooks in me for weeks, even after seeing it three times in theaters. Which I never do. I'm hopelessly obsessed.

To get a little nostalgic again

This is the kind of music that tricks me into playing DK64 again, and then I remember it's the meanest game in the world so I stop lol.

While I'm not necessarily a big fan of every song that they did, some of the videogame tracks for an old game called Shadow Hearts across game 2 & 3 are some of my all time favorites, at least for gaming music.

Another two game songs that will always keep give me shivers are 

*) World of Warcraft; Arthas my son, from the best arc there is in the game: Rise of the Lich King. Still gives me shivers to this day when the singing starts

*) Second one is from the second Mirror's Edge. This song really fit in so perfectly when running through the city tops.

I don't know why they felt the need to go so hard on the Final Fantasy Record Keeper soundtrack, but it's clear why the lead got to work on FF VII Remake/Rebirth.
