The realm of Sanctuary was created eons ago at the near extinction of humanity. A paranormal accident known as The Rift, similar to the Big Bang, was a tear in dimensional space. Bursting through the tear was a great power that washed over the Earth, wiping out nearly all of humanity. Humans died or were transformed by the magic which erupted into the space becoming creatures of magic known as the Fae. Emerging from the tear next were colossal creatures known as Dragons who harnessed the air with their colossal wings and claimed ownership of the The Elements: fire, water, air, earth, nature, lightning, light and darkness. The dragons lived in the clouds, the storms, the mountains, the volcanoes, the sea, the forests, the heavens, and the areas of the realm untouched by light.

The humans and fae were ignorant to the dragons’ purpose and were frightened by them. Over the years, they learned to harness magic as a weapon and sent their best warriors known as Dragon Slayers to kill the beasts. The Dragon Slayers fought ferociously against the dragons, but no matter how many they sent or how many powerful spells they developed, the dragons were unbeatable. One day, a young woman discovered the nature dragon by accident. The dragon had overheard her singing and was drawn to her beautiful voice. The woman continued to meet with the nature dragon and sang to it until a group of traveling knights eavesdropped on the mysterious interaction. When the woman was returning home, the knights captured her and took her to their king. The woman was interrogated, and then they plotted to use her to lower the dragon’s guard so they could slay it. The woman went along with the knights, but then chose to save the dragon, warning it in her song. The knights attempted to kill the woman for her treachery, but the woman was saved by the dragon. When the maiden mounted the nature dragon’s back, she became the first Dragon Rider. With her bond with the dragon, the woman used the beast’s power to take over her region’s kingdom. She became the first dragon queen, and other kingdoms began to raise dragon queen’s of their own.

The kingdoms held singing contests across the realm, seeking women who had the best voice to lure the dragons. The women who bonded with the dragons became queens and the generations after them became princesses, but not all princesses had the ability to bond with their family’s dragon and wield the great beast in combat. This created greed and envy among kin often to the point of murder, kidnap, and assassination attempts. Every year, the dragon princesses would compete at a tournament to inherit their family’s dragon. These tournaments were called Dragon Bouts. The tournament involved combat, and of course, singing. Imagine a beauty pageant for shield maidens.

Our game begins here. Eight female characters will choose which dragon element they intend to wield. They will then meet at the Dragon Bout. The Dragon Bout will be the first chapter.

This is the obvious interest check. I am just checking to see who would be interested in this game. I expect the story to smut ratio to be 80% and 20%. Feel free to be as tastefully sexy as you want, but I will not allow futa and I will not allow anime pictures so try to find realistic digital art, or if you can find some good photography, then you can use that too. There are some pretty amazing cosplayers out there. I expect the posting speed to be 1 post every seven days at minimum.

The chapter will start with the Dragon Bout and players are free to create the drama in their character's family; the drama they face with other competitors at the Dragon Bout; etc. In the end, their character will emerge as a victory. This chapter is meant to be used for character development and building interactions with other writers. Dragons will be introduced in the next chapter, which will require a new interest check. If you are interested, let me know in what element. You can also plot your concept here with other interested writers.

I love dragons and I love princesses! This sounds just like my kind of a game ;D

Just so I understand correctly: we're not really "bouting" against the other player princesses as much as princesses of our own family? Will there be much interaction between the players then? Or is it more like one big tournament where everyone faces each other, and you just have to do better than the other princesses of your family, or...?

Also, about the smut aspect -- is it expected to be something that happens behind the scenes and initiated by the players, or can we expect some smutty shenanigans from the tournament itself? Just to get a better picture of what the plan is!

But yes, definite interest here.

But yes, definite interest here.

1. You can bout against another player character if you and the player choose to, but understand one of your characters will be eliminated. Otherwise, no. It is entirely up to the writers. It is up to you how you control your character's story. You can generate your own NPC competitors, and if you don't, the GM will provide them for you. The goal of the tournament is to force the other opponent to yield. The singing competition is just all about the fans who decide that one. Whoever has the best singing voice. Player characters will enter the tier for the element they are competing for.

2. The whole first chapter is interaction between the players. It's an entire chapter dedicated to it. When it is the writer's character's time to fight in the tourney that writer dictates how it goes. The tournament will take a few days because they are eliminating many competitors, so there is more than enough time for interaction such as when your character isn't fighting. There's the welcome ceremony, the lobby when waiting for the match to start, there's chances during evening banquets, there's chances during just any breakfast, lunch, and dinner break. There's the singing competition. Multiple opportunities for it.

3. It wouldn't really be called "smut" in this game since the story element is 80%. If romance happens, then it does. The tournament will not have any sexual or erotic themes in it. It'll be straight-forward. However, if your character decides to fight in bikini armor or topless or whatever, then that is up to you. That is how you dictated your fight would go.

This game requires that all writers bring their imagination and think broadly.

Are you actually planning to gave the dragons ss playable roles,?

Edit: this sounds dumb  i know because you have said you will do a new interest check when introducing the dragons. But what I think I'm trying to ask is if the dragons will interact so a seperste entity of will the rider write them as like an npc?

The dragons are going to be actual players that will be recruited later. I do not want the dragons to be NPCs.

Pagus

Interested! I'd love to play a dragon or a princess, I like the plot itself!

Ivory Dawn

Definite interest in being a princess. I mean, duh, princess!

Elizabeth Ecsed

Though I am kind of picturing a totally inept princess.... Can't sing, can't dance, survives combat by sheer luck and grace of God... Drops the microphone Everytime she has to talk... Gets her own name wrong due to nerves...

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

The only reason that I have been silent on this topic is because I am looking for princesses and people keep posting in here about dragons. No one is going to be playing dragons in the first chapter of this game. So if people aren't interested in playing princesses, then this game won't happen.

No worries, got it. :)

BlackStone

Only female PC's in the first part of the game or are male roles acceptable as semi-support character's to said princesses?

Levi

I dont mind making a princess if it helps move the story  I to creation.
