The Shadow Syndicate

The Premise

The usual cyberpunk dystopia. World went to hell, corporatism rules the roost etc. etc. You know the stuff. The story will be focusing on group of mercenaries who call themselves The Shadow Syndicate. A morally bankrupt mercenary trio who occasionally hire some other members in their team in order to complete the jobs they undertake.

The Shadow Syndicate are neither good nor bad, they are in it solely for the profit and whoever is able to afford them, they would render their services. These people are definitely not idealists, are living on the fringes of the society. Certainly the sort who fit the punk element of the social strata than the rich ones living in ivory towers and afraid of looking at the skies.

The Vibe

There will be grimy, gritty stuff but along with that, a touch of Mission Impossible esque shenanigans interspersed within. The story will be largely episodic and not everything will be action oriented as we will also focus on relation between three main protagonists. I'll be more than happy to play any NPC's as they might be necessary to keep things moving along or even share NPC duty with my partners on rotation basis so we can get bigger element of interactive fun in.

I am looking for two people to take on two submissive male characters while I'll be playing the boss lady of the group who forms the team and leads them. I'd like the three to end up in a polyamourous relationship down the line as the characters develop because well, fun.

One of whom will be a master of disguise.
Second male who would be either getaway driver or a cyber cowboy hacking wiz.

Again, those are merely archetypes and prospective partners are free to go for whatever they wish.

Personality: Anne is a competent and commanding officer who is a natural leader. At times she can be incredibly demanding and a disciplinarian in general. Pushes herself as well as her team extra hard. Moralitywise, she’s about as ruthless as it gets and generally won’t stop at anything to get what she wants.

History: Anne was born in Johannesburg and joined the Army College in Pretoria at the age of 18. Excelling in her class, she applied for South African Special Forces and managed to complete the grueling training. Deployed in Democratic Republic of Congo during peacekeeping missions, she excelled and was instrumental in driving the French forces out from the territory during what down the line turned out to be the final eras of Francafrique on the continent in general.

This caught attention of the superiors and she was promoted to Captain. The ensuing years saw strife in Africa including forays into an increasingly chaotic Egypt to weed out further dwindling influence of the West that led her to being promoted to Major.

As her career continued on, the situation at home and world in general worsened. It came to a boiling point when the governments, as they were known in traditional context seized to be, controlled through a thin or even non existent veil by corporations that were hell bent on not only disbanding the armed forces but also anyone who opposed was to be simply executed without so much as a trial. At that point, posted in Zambia to putsch a revolt, sensing she was largely being set up, Anne executed her company and went rogue, vanishing off the radar with some high end tech including the ones installed in her own body and got them off the grid at a clinic in Hong Kong.

She also had her appearance altered going for a softer and conventionally prettier look which is a good deception. Since then, Anne has offered her services as mercenary on black market and is now seeking to put a team together for a more ambitious project.
