This idea has now been taken. Thanks for your interest.

Somewhere in the world - or another world, even - a handsome, powerfully built male abides in the darkness of a cellar. He is alone, and has been trapped there for a long, long time. He's not greatly troubled by this. The immortality bestowed by his condition - namely, demonic - means he feels the passing of decades as if they were mere minutes. Still, he would like to be free, shackled as he is by the magic of the sorcerer who summoned him. Unfortunately, the sorcerer in question upped and died without returning the demon to his Hadean realm. So our infernal male waits, and hopes that someone might eventually come along and dispense with his thaumaturgic constraints. Be it wittingly or otherwise.

Which is where your character comes in. Given the flexibility of the setting - it could be fantasy, historical or modern - she might be fleeing a raiding party and takes refuge in a ruined castle. Or she could be moving to a new city and finds a tatty but cheap place to live. It could be any number of things - in all cases, she'll eventually explore the basement/cellar/catacombs and discover this dark, alluring stranger with shining eyes and a strangely musical charm.

He, as stated, wants to be free. And might even want her. As to what your character wants - well, that's up to you. Suffice to say, she'll learn that the man beneath the floorboards is immensely powerful despite his imprisonment, and might be able to grant her any number of wishes. Or desires.

The kind of dynamic I'm looking at here is along the lines of a Clarice Starling/Hannibal Lecter one, where the captive male still holds a certain amount of power over his free counterpart by way of charm, charisma and manipulation. Some humour, preferably dark, will be essential. As to where it goes from here - well, if the idea appeals to you and you think we're compatible, drop me a line and let's see if we can thrash a cracking good story out of this.
