Gwynn Cameron

HOBBIES: Dancing (Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern), Cheerleading, Shopping/Fashion, Music, Movies, Joining Clubs

ABOUT: Gwynn is the single child of an opthamologist and the medical director of the local hospital.  While her family may be “rich” by local standards, that’s actually far from the truth.  Regardless of her family’s status, one thing has been constant throughout the last eight years of Gwynn’s life - she loves to dance.  Part of the illusion of her family’s wealth is the fact that she’s spent the last three summers in New York attending The Ailey School of Dance’s Summer Intensive program.  Going into her freshman year, she made an agreement with her parents that instead of a car they’d pay for her to attend the dance program, as long as she maintained her grades and stayed out of trouble.

Originally, she joined the cheer squad because it was the closest thing to dance the small high school had, but after a few months Gwynn discovered that she enjoyed it.  However, between homework, cheer practice, and her dance classes Gwynn had little time to socialize.  Of course, she attended the large parties after the big games, and after the school dances, and was able to hang-out with friends during the weekends, but that was it.

Beginning her Junior year, Gwynn began joining clubs - student council, FBLA, National Honor Society, The Talent Show, and the Yearbook committee in an effort to both round-out her college resume and, more importantly, increase her social outlets.  She went on a few dates with a number of guys, but didn’t date anyone exclusively, or for an extended period of time.

This last summer she’s decided to stay in town, spend time with friends, and have some fun before starting the next stage of her journey.  It could be said that since she discovered she wasn’t accepted into Julliard she’s been less focused and directed, and more willing to “slack off”.

MOMENTS OF GLORY: Being asked to the senior homecoming dance by the guy she’d been crushing on since sophomore year.  Choreographing a dance routine for the cheer squad.  Amazing people with her dance routine during the Talent show.  Auditioning for Julliard.

MOMENTS OF SHAME: Not being interviewed after making the third call back during her Julliard audition.  Over-rotating and falling off-stage, onto her face, in front of the whole school during a pep rally.  Having a mishap in which her cheer skirt was nearly pulled completely off during a tumbling routine with the school mascot.

Looking for connections: BFFs, crushes, frenemies, rivals, etc.   Open to any and all suggestions.  I had made a list of my own suggestions, but it seems I failed to post it.

CLIQUES: Jock 3 Varsity Letters in /Football/Baseball/Wrestling/ Shop/ Mechanics Club, Popular
PLANS: Missed out on the Football Scholarship his parents were counting after tearing his knee ligament in the fall. Trade School now.
DREAM: To open up his own auto body shop
CAR: 2015 Subaru WRX with 2.5l Dual Overhead Cam high performance engine with high pressure turbocharger. He bought it used and tricked it out himself in Mr. Carbonetti's shop class.

HOBBIES: Gear Head, was given a key against protocol to shop class. Occasional Gamer. Lifts with his teammates from time to time. Likes to listen Classic Books on tape, Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment, George Eliot's Middlemarch, etc. (Tom is Dyslexic) but would never admit that to anyone especially his teammates, although some of his teachers are aware that he is very well read.

ABOUT:Tommy's home life went from bad to worse when his older brother Sean was killed by IED in Afghanistan on what will be its two year anniversary on Greenfields graduation day. After the funeral Tommy's mom retired to her bedroom with her prescription bottles and really never came back out. This left Tommy and his Father to care for his younger sister Siobhan who is severely Autistic. Secretly Tom resents the time he has to spend babysitting Siobhan. Tommy's father works as a mechanic at Mavis Discount Tire in the Hill Valley Mall. His Father has also disappeared inside a bottle following Seans death.  Tommy's father never felt that Tom lived up to his brother (because of his dyslexia), even going so far as to say during a binge that he wished it was Tom instead who came back in bits and pieces in the black rubber bag.

Tommy's has had a couple of girlfriends in high school. He has to work as bouncer ( because of his size) at the Neon Serpent to help support his fathers income therefore has no real time for a social life. He's not a raver himself but likes to check out the ladies he cards there. Tom has far less experience with members of the opposite sex then most of his male classmates would believe. He doesn't fool the more observant girls at Greenfields High.

MOMENTS OF GLORY: Scoring the touchdown with no time left on the clock with a dive play over the left tackle that sealed the victory for Greenfields over arch rival Glenn's Hill High School on Thanksgiving Day. Ironically this was the same play that tore up Tommy's knee obliterating any chance for a University scholarship.

MOMENTS OF SHAME: Two that stand out. 1. As a freshman being spotted by Megan and her girlfriends, they had just come out of the Sunset Tanning Salon, buying his second hand clothes at the Goodwill Store in Hill Valley. His animus towards his Father and dad's meager salary boiled for months afterwards.
2. August Junior year Tom lifted a case of his fathers Michelob Light from the  garage and he and Quarterback Keyshawn Robinson went drinking behind old man MacGuilly's barn. Tom was driving his Mother's Ford Taurus when he struck the Police Chief's wife as the was driving home from her shift at the hospital. The Chief's wife suffered minor injuries as did Tom. Keyshawn was left confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his days.

Connections: Tom has had thing for Roxanne Meyers ever since they were freshman and gym rats together.
Tom although not a part of it knew all of his teammates that were involved in the prank played on Jenna Smith. He feels horrible that he stood by and did nothing to stop it. He hopes to reach out to her to ask forgiveness.

Yeah, I'm game for both of these.  The only thing I've established so far is that Gwynn is friends with Roxanne.  I'm running errands for the next few hours, but I'll get back to both of you in regards to this.  Thanks for initiating it.  :)
