A Different Spin on the Stories We Love...

So this concept has been brewing in my mind for a while now, but I've not been able to put in to words exactly what I mean. I'm still a bit unsure whether or not this will come across as fun and exciting as I imagine it to be, but I'd rather get it out in the open then keep it locked up in my head, haha.

Let's face it, everyone on this site LOVES story and characters (d'uh) and that love comes from a pre-existing book, video game, tv show, historical figure/event, movie, or real life experiences. We are all fans of something or someone by being on this site because we HAVE to tell our version of a story, whether original or not.

Now in keeping with the notion that there are pre-existing stories & characters where I love of RPing and writing stems from, I have an idea. Naturally, there are some stories that stick with us more than others, whether it's because we mourn it's ending (wishing there was more), we fell in love with one (or many) of the characters, we want to see something happen that didn't, or we simply want to pretend we're in it either by way of pretending to be a character already in existence within the story or by creating our own character revolving around that story.

I myself have found that there are many books, movies and TV shows where I wish something had happened; where a scene had taken place or a romance had blossomed between two people and I didn't get my wish. Or, quite simply, I love the story so much I wish to act it out as it is written and sticking to the 'canon' (well, mostly) with my own spin.

That said, my idea is to do just that. Take a story already in existence and write it as a RP. This means we follow the same plot with the same characters and, generally, write the same exact story already in existence. But perhaps we add our own flare: introduce a new character, create a budding romance between canons, something like that.

Yes, this is canon and most people here dislike playing canon, however what makes this different and unique (and should be noted) is that the whole idea of this is to RP out all or part of the story already in existence.
