This story would take place in a frontier town.

A young woman who is recently widowed - losing her husband to a fever as they traveled to their new home - arrives at their destination alone and with only a tiny bit of money left.
The couple would have crossed the Atlantic and spent most of their savings getting to the town, where they were to claim some land to start their own farm.

The young woman in question would then lack the money to return to her native country, but would also be without a support system in the new world.

The town's minister along with some of the prominent members of his congregation would try to help the woman by arranging a marriage between her and a middle-aged bachelor.

The male role would be a man in his early 40s who has a thriving farm but never got around to starting his own family.

When the ministers comes over to propose his idea to him, he had already more or less accepted he was unlikely to get married. After some convincing from the clergyman, he reluctantly accepts.

The idea for this roleplay would be for the two people who are both more or less forced into this marriage by circumstance to get to know each other, and perhaps learn to feel some real affection for each other.

And yes, this is a bit more mild and romantic than what I usually partake in. Sue me! :P

If you are interested in the male role, send me a PM.

The posting frequency can be discussed, but I see this more as a slow-moving game where the quality of the replies will trump the quantity.
