Hi there.

What can you expect from me?  Adequate grammar and spelling, and an occasional flare for pretty metaphors.  My post length varies; depends on the tone of the roleplay, the content, etc., but I tend to default to 3-5 or 5-8 paragraph posts.  I seldom write novellas, I never write one-liners.  I try to get three posts out a week.  Sometimes more, sometimes less.

My default character is male, and dominant leaning, but I do enjoy writing switches and submissives as well.  My characters are usually in their mid twenties to early forties and, unless there's a compelling plot related reason, I'm not inclined to write them younger than 21.  If you have any preferences that you would like me to keep in mind, share them.  Obviously, don't send me a faceclaim and premade character, to play - I'm not into that, but I am flexible.

Recurring themes include, but are not limited to:  Supernatural beings, with an emphasis on their humanity.  Vampires, werewolves, fairies, psychopomps, aliens, etc.  Troubled souls: anxiety, attachment issues, substance abuse, PTSD, etc.

Favorite genres include speculative fiction, but usually not fantasy.  When the characters and plot are interesting, I'll delve into fiction that doesn't include the strange ... but I love magical realism, dark urban fantasy, horror, gothic romance, and science fiction.

By the way - romance?  Romance is fun, but not necessary.  Feel free to suggest frenemies, FWB, hatefucks, whatever.

If you have any questions, ask!

Now, the fun part ... plot ideas.

A History of Losses

Setting: Present day, in the city of your choice.

Premise:
Your character comes from wealth—an elite world of privilege and power, where everything is a game and consequences rarely touch those at the top. Among your group of friends, a cruel pastime has emerged: luring in vulnerable people from the lower rungs of society, only to manipulate and break them for sport. It’s a dangerous game of emotional warfare, and it’s been happening since your boarding school days.

But this time is different.

One night, while slumming it at a dive bar, your character meets someone new—my character. He’s a young drifter, completely disconnected from the digital world, with nothing but a burner phone and the clothes on his back. Quiet, mysterious, and oddly compelling, he seems like the perfect mark for your group’s twisted game.

As your character draws him in, something stirs—an unexpected connection, a pull towards the darkness in his eyes that mirrors your own hidden depths. But what starts as another cruel game begins to unravel in unexpected ways. Your character’s cold detachment falters as real emotions surface. And then... the truth comes out.

My character isn’t human. He’s unseelie—one of the dangerous, ancient fey. And he’s been playing a game of his own, far more dangerous than any your friends could have imagined. Once he discovers the cruel game you’ve been playing, the tables turn.

Now, it’s not just hearts at stake—it’s your very soul.

I have some other vague snippets of ideas - an old hotel, crumbling, inherited by a grad student who moves in and brings his friends.  Found family vibes.  The only house rule that matters?  They don't talk about their pasts.

An Uber driver and a regular - every week, YC gives him a ride home from a night of debauchery from the city to a peaceful suburb.  MC is leading a double life.  On one hand, sex and drugs.  On the other, faith and stability.

A forensic scientist who's been recently vampirized, who wears the aftermath of trauma on his sleeve, and the detective who has been his platonic bestie for years who knows the guy's hiding something.

If you think you want to send a message, go for it.  I'm friendly.  Want to play around with one of my plots?  Want to tell me about an idea of yours?  I'm all ears.

Bumping -- updated original post to add a new idea for a character.

Bump, with a new idea for August and an updated character list.

I thought that I bumped this earlier, but might be mistaken.  I hope that it wasn't deleted — it's not the same prompt from my last bump!

Another update?

I can't help it.  I'm craving something sweet and soft and undeniably naughty.  Slice of life?  Probably!  But if you want to take the general idea and incorporate another plot element, seriously, I'm all ears.

The premise: Your character unknowingly hitches a ride with the not-so-grim reaper.  The underworld's lovely this time of year.  His name's Eddie, and he has sunshine in his veins.  He's out there living his best life, or so he thinks.  Reality?  He's dead and he literally can't know it.  He's a great guy when he's happy, but you won't like him when he's sad.  He has unhealthy coping mechanisms, you see.  The closer he gets to acknowledging what he is, the more reality turns to a lucid nightmare.

He's great, but the roleplay isn't about him.  He brings the setting, your character brings the heart of the story.  Why are they hitching rides?  Why do they need to go on a dark and spooky adventure, and why is this friendly (if oblivious) guide so very right for them?

Bump - had a couple of roleplays fizzle out, and work's been slow, so it's a good time for me to start something new!
