So, I'm not sure if this has come up but what is your story when it comes to rping? What was the first site you ever joined that got you down the road of being an rper? Did you ease your way into nsfw types of rps or did you stumble into it? Have you kept yourself clear of such rps and have held it steady on sfw? Share only what you feel like sharing and this is not a space of judging or disputes, I just feel like this would be an interesting line of conversation.

I will start. I began my journey a long time ago, in a distant part of the internet where a place called 'Proboards' existed. I'm sure the name rings a bell and if not well it was a place where rpers congregated and where forums were made with admins and mods and when I was there we had avatars and signatures that represented our character...kind of like here.

I want to say it was a Kingdom Hearts forum I first joined, maybe, it seems so long ago now. I wasn't the greatest at rping but it was also my first foray into rping as a canon character, albeit I had written fanfic but this was on another scale. I also recall my stumble with godmodding, ooh and ahh, yeah, classic.

I believe BTVS was the first time I did lemon content or nsfw. I had never seen the series before so unlike KH I was taking up important canons who were needed for the rp. I had a great rp partner back then, and, it was also a place of jealousy and conflict among rpers, namely one that I can't remember their name.

I stuck with proboards till I found my way to FFNET. I didn't think much of rping over there but eventually I found myself on a Naruto forum. This was lemon and it didn't take much effort on my part to get accustomed to. This was my first account over there...and I stuck with that a long while, made some great rp partners over there, then lost some, it happens. I eventually disappeared from rping till I got a second account and things got tricky, I won't go too much into that but it had its ups and downs and I kept getting questions about Discord which I didn't think much on as I felt loyal to FFNET.

I also was on DA and did some rping over there, but, rping in notes was tricky and eventually Discord seemed the better option so a lot of my setup is still there seeking rpers. Now as for here, well, I had seen an advertisement when looking for adult like places to rp. I did rping on here for a bit till I decided to take it on the road and pitching stuff for over on Discord. I will admit this is what I was willing to share and no journey is truly smooth sailing.

What is your tale? What is your origin of being an rper and how did you wind up over here? Be free to omit things and add things in here as you please. This should be a safe enough space and thank you for reading all this. I imagine anyone else will have much more lively a tale then what I provided.

Regarding online RP, I can't remember the first board I was on many years ago, but the first one I spent any real amount of time on was RPOL.net in 2007. Some people I used to write with there referred me to Elliquiy back in 2008. I haven't been active here since 2010, though, and only just came back today as I am interested in getting back into writing stories again.

There actually was an RP forum for a player run Ultima Online Shard that I used to write short stories for as far back as 2003, though I forget the name.

As far as RPG's in general are concerned, I first started playing D&D (tabletop) as a kid back in 1988 after seeing "Mazes and Monsters" starring Tom Hanks, LOL. If you haven't seen it, the movie was made back in the "big D&D scare" days of the early 80's when some nutjob thought the game was satanic or something and a movie was eventually made to warn us of the psychological perils inherent in tabletop RPG.

Obviously, the movie had the opposite effect on me.
My On and Off list

My other on/off list

Let the Priests of the Raven of dawn, no longer in deadly black, with hoarse note curse the sons of joy. Nor his accepted brethren, whom tyrant, he calls free: lay the bound or build the roof. Nor pale religious letchery call that virginity, that wishes but acts not!

For every thing that lives is Holy.
