Ancient World & Historical Request Thread. M 4 F.

FIRST & FOREMOST

Welcome to my thread.

I've been away from Elliquiy (and roleplaying) for many years, but over the last few weeks, I've developed a serious craving to get back into something I used to love & enjoy so much.

Plots: Below, I'll start to list current plot ideas. Naturally, the list will expand over time

Frequency: Ahead of anything, I'll be upfront. I can never guarantee immediate/fast replies. I can reply once a day, or once a week. 8-14 day breaks away CAN happen. It will all depend on my work schedule and my personal life. I do thoroughly enjoy writing and advancing the story however, so expect me to get to things as quick as possible.

Writing: Straight off the bat, I'll say I prefer quality to quantity. If I have to wait a few days for a post, by all means take it. I love to develop and build characters and plot. I love nuisance and realism, a feeling that the characters & plot are unfolding in the most natural way as possible. I will usually match my partner, but will put maximum effort into my writing and posts, so will only collaborate with a partner willing to do the same.

Communication: I can't stress this enough. Communication is key. I love regular chats in PM, to discuss kinks, plot outlines and future plans. As much as I prefer fluidity, I think a degree of planning is needed.

A small thing that may be something of note: I hate using character pictures. I often get a vivid mental image of my character, so finding a matching image is near impossible. Feel free to use them yourself, but I'll just do my best to describe my character as I see them in my head.

My latest craving involves anything from the Ancient World, to the Dark Ages up to the Medieval.

PLOTS:

The Conqueror.


My character, a Prince of the ancient world, has swept over vast lands in a short period of time. Commanding large armies, he's conquered from the north to the east with relative ease, gaining fame and fortune as a one of the most famous names of the antiquity. Cities and Kings fell before him, Empires split in two as he took lands with ease and tactical mastery.

Still young, he turns his attention now to managing his amassed Empire. Building cities and temples, championing the arts and sciences. But things could never be that easy....

As he conquered far, he subjugated many different cultures and religions and made many enemies. The Kings he deposed garnered hatred towards, the religious leaders he shunned turned their followers against him. Now, thousands of miles from home, his army is spread thin managing & policing his new Empire. His close circle of generals and counsellors are no match for the upper classes and noble families around him who see him as a foreign invader. He needs allies.

This is where your character would come in. The daughter of a King from the east, your father would propose marriage. At first to ensure his loyalty, as well as placing his daughter and future grandsons upon the vast empire built around him.

From there, I'd love to develop the plot more with my collaborator. We could go a variety of different ways as our characters are forced into a political marriage. Does she work with him, or collaborate with his enemies?



Obviously looking for this to be a plot heavy story, with politics, sex and a Game of Thrones style world where every character plays to make their own standing stronger and reach their own ends.
