Submarine RP Interest Check - Alien Ocean World, - Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi,

So I've got a plot for this one:

A large group of scientists are tasked by some sort of body to do a complete examination of the planet's ocean. This being an alien ocean - think Subnautica but less dying ocean. It would be like a starship RP as most of the plot would be focused on the submarine including drama, sex, intrigue and perhaps corporate espionage. Though things could easily change and perhaps what is under this ocean becomes a bigger deal. It's a large submarine very robust and it does have weapons but nothing too extreme. There are even smaller exploratory vessels and diving suits that can handle certain depths but less so the deeper ones.

I know this is rough, but it is really just an idea I had so decided to do an interest check before posting the RP to see if this strikes anyone fancy. Not to mention I would love other ideas as my foundations are extremely rough.

Plus I just really want to do a Submarine RP

I'd be curious about this, leaning towards playing an engineering sort, the bottle episode elements of submarines/space ships and exploration usually appeal to me!

This reminds me somewhat of SeaQuest... A giant submarine, pitiful, non-effective weapons and new crisis every week. So, I'm intrigued.

To answer everything. No this would not be using a system instead it would be more focused around the writing.

Glad to see two people intrigued and yeah much of the drama would be inside the submarine, at least initially. But later on, perhaps the problems outside become too massive to ignore. Just a large group of scientists learning about an alien ocean and perhaps discovering horrific aberration far below.

Well it's pretty high tech level since we're essentially going to explore the whole alien ocean so submarine built to handle massive pressure, hope that gives you good hint. Just remember it's a scientific vessel first and foremost.

Orientation: Largely Straight, minor curious with conditions

Personality: Alexander is a man of two miens, when off duty he tends to be a bit more relaxed and at ease with people, happy to fool aroind and relax, or help people with some issue they have. On the other hand when on duty he is strictly professional, quite brusque, and direct in his dealings with little patience for unimportant details

History Former military man who retired after injury, Alexander took to a learning grant and began studying Xenobiology. Reasonably skilled in his studies he obtained his degrees with no real difficulty. Most noted for his discovery of a corperation attempting to remove colonists from mineral rich lands by perpetrating one of the local species as near sentiant.

Is now pulling double duty as a xenobiologist and security consultant on the expedition.
