"Hell is empty. All the devils are here"

A young girl had made many mistakes in her life. She hung out with the wrong crowds, partied too hard, and lived the life of an extremely rebellious teenager… up until tragedy struck. The details have always been sketchy, and even her drug and alcohol-addled mind has trouble remember the exact circumstances, but at the end of the night her best friend since childhood had ended up dead and it was all her fault.

The traumatic event sent the young woman into a downward spiral that led to more drugs, more partying, and self-destructive behavior. Three attempted suicides later she finally turned to God, desperate to be free of the nightmares that haunted her and the pain she’d caused her family and friends. She left home, moved to a remote city and joined a convent desperate to find the peace and forgiveness she so desperately sought.

At first, things seemed to be going so well. The other nuns and priests welcomed her with open arms and for the first time in a long time her life seemed to be getting back on track. She drove into the city once a week to meet with a therapist and had even begun to start a youth program where she began to reach out to others in similar situations. She looked forward to completing her vows and taking her place among the sisters who ran the convent. Everything seemed to have meaning and purpose and she felt in control of her life once more…

…and then it arrived.

At first it was nightmares.

Then it was fleeting glimpses of shadows darting across her vision and strange, unexplained sounds happening all around the old convent and the grounds it sat upon…

…and then it appeared to her… a demon, bent on making her relive the horrors she had been through and calling upon her to help destroy the convent. It would torment her with her past, toy with her mind, and seek to push her to the breaking point to do its bidding. The peaceful and serene world she had fought so hard to find was now shattered... and she was forced to live a nightmare.

What I'm Looking For...

This is obvious an extreme story prompt which I'm really looking forward to explore. It's going to be very intense, a lot of inner turmoil and stress, a true horror story in every stretch of the imagination. That said, I'm very open to discussing the details of this and adjusting it to something we would both enjoy. This is more a template with some suggestions than a true set in stone framework for the story.

• I don't tend to have a minimum response time. I'm usually able to get a reply up every other day or so, but I have no problem being patient with someone who takes longer.

• The idea here is for the demon to try to twist and torment her into luring some of the priests or nuns away from the church, driving them to sin, and delivering them to him. Your character can reluctantly be tormented to the point they do it because they're pushed to their breaking point or they could very much come to enjoy their new wicked role in life. I'm completely open to both extremes.

• I really prefer a character who likes to communicate OOC (Discord preferred, but not mandatory) so they we can continue to shape the story, interact and get to know what each other likes and doesn't like, and to give feedback. I find I enjoy writing with someone a bit more when I get to know them a little better. I also find that makes stories that much better for both sides.

• I tend to lean more towards PM stories, especially ones of this nature, but I'm not against forum threads if you prefer that.
