Broken | Romance & drama (M looking for F | F looking for M)

Heavily inspired -but not a request to play neither the same plot nor the characters- by the book "Me before you", I'm interested in exploring a bittersweet, intense and bumpy relationship between two broken souls.

She is perky, bright, outspoken and silly, but there are secrets lurking beneath the surface. Her bubbly disposition and proneness to being non-confrontational and focus on nothing but the cheery side of life is really a way of dealing with traumas in her past she is not ready to come to terms with. She refuses to acknowledge there is pain, suffering and darkness in the world, and when forced to admit it, she tries to spin it around and add a silver lining, resulting in an annoying optimism. She is caring and sweet, but if pushed, the cracks on her facade begin to show, and she can get on the defensive with surprising aggression.

As to who he is... well, that depends on my partner. I could go with him being a paraplegic, have painful and debilitating paralysis or some kind of illness which he is unlikely to get over from. He could also be in rehabilitation because of a suicide attempt or have suffered an accident that left him with severe burns. One way or another, the supposedly idyllic life he experienced once upon a time is all but gone and he refuses or is unable to, deal with the consequences of it.

She could very well be hired to work as her assistant, companion, nurse or find another reason to keep her around him often. Perhaps a babysitter to his younger brother or sister, if he has any, though I'd prefer it if she had to work with him rather than around him.

I'm open to hearing ideas and would love to brainstorm different possibilities for this rpg! Though I'd prefer to aim for an ending where they do find a way to overcome their traumas or learn how to live with them and find happiness together, I'm not opposed to a bittersweet, dramatic ending.

I'd also LOVE to play the male character in this story!
