Infiltration of the Vampire Coven (Interest Check)
« on: October 24, 2011, 07:13:12 PM »
Every girl and some guys, who has ever read a vampire novel dreams of having a seductive, blood sucking lover who is constantly torn between their love for them and the urge to suck them dry, drain every drop of blood in their body. They of course know that these fantasies are just little dreams and that as much as they might wish it; they will never get a vampire lover for they don't exist. All those little girls and guys have it wrong though, vampires do exist but they aren't love torn for humans. Their instincts tell them to feed on humans thatís all they do to humans. They use them, and feed.

Most of the time humans are killed during feedings but some of them, if their blood is appetizing enough, will be branded and kept in a vampire haven. Depending on their owner, they might be treated like a princess, or as lowly as a maid. They are still nothing more than a blood bank, out of the few that are kept even less are actually used for anything save for blood, the women have to be beautiful to be lovers and their blood must smell good. It is rare when a vampire falls for their blood letter though, itís only been known to happen twice and on both occasions the women were accidentally killed because their lover got over zealous in the taste of their blood. The men are never used for anything but blood for none compare to vampire men.

The police have known about the vampires for 25 years now and the moment they found out about them, the police started a program. They have raised two children from birth so that when they are ready, or the time is right, they can infiltrate the vampire ranks. First they had to pick people whose blood smelt appetizing enough which was hard to keep the vampire they had from attacking them as innocent infants. Then they had to train the two children to be fighters, they had to be agile, smart, and know when to act obedient.

Now the two of them are finally ready and have been taken into one of the largest vampire covens, in the heart of Los Angeles. Their mission is to rescue the humans the vampires have branded and at the same time poison the vampires by putting silver nitrate in the food of the humans. It wonít be easy especially when all the vampires are suspicious of newbieís. They donít trust humans and are sadistic creatures that will kill them at the first moments notice. The humans might discover something amazing while they are there though, the life of a vampire is very appealing, itís why so many humans offer to become blood letters. It can also be one of luxury. The head of the covenís own blood letter, a pretty girl, is treated quite well.

The Head of the Coven is suspicious of the new comers also, he has heard word that there might be infiltrators amongst his ranks. He doesnít need a blood letter thankfully, but he is still suspicious none the less, especially with the challenge coming up. Every 100 years the Head of the Coven can be challenged in a battle of strength and dominance for his position as leader. Itís in a week and the current leader doesnít need to worry about infiltrators with that on his plate as well. After all, if he loses the challenge he is at the mercy of the winner, to be killed, or to be left alone.

(Alrighty! Got plenty of things going on for this roleplay. Iíll need the human infiltrators, preferably one of each sex. Iíd also like the vampire leader to be male. It would be amazing if someone wanted to play a vampire who planned on challenging the leader! Any roles that have a * by them have to be filled before Iíll begin.)

Alright, I'm not going to currently edit your name in by it until after I see the character sheet but I'm sure everything will be fine. Just for everyone to see, here is my character sheet.

Appearance:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Name: Chloe Jane

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Role: Human Infiltrator

Vampire: As of yet, none

Blood Taste: Cherries and Vanilla

Personality: Chloe is feisty to say the least. She doesn't take orders well and most of the time has to be forced to do anything she doesn't find necessary. Chloe is honest and a little more blunt than she should be though years of training has taught her how to hold her tongue. Chloe is also a scrapper, she doesn't look like she'd be able to fight the way that she can, but Chloe can hold her own in a fight against most opponents. She's highly intelligent and analyzes the situation around her well.

History/Bio: Chloe was born originally as Jane Anderson to two loving parents who cherished their daughter whom they had always wanted. Even though they always wanted her, they couldn't afford Chloe before she was even born. They were a poor couple, one of whom had a bad habit he was trying to feed as well as hide form his wife. With the growing finances that Chloe was instilling it was harder to keep his secret from his wife. Unfortunately, he loved his wife far more than he loved his child, but she wasn't even born to the two of them yet. So the night his wife went into labor, the secret branch of the police contacted him offering him a large sum of money for his daughter. Chloe's father readily agreed.

Chloe was raised around no one but her trainers and the others that were supposed to be infiltrators. Only she and another were chosen though because her blood smelled good enough. Chloe was good with hand to hand combat and she had a curvy enough figure to attract most males. They kept Chloe as soft as possible so no one would guess that she was secretly a fighter. Other than hand to hand, Chloe took a rigorous gymnastics training course she was also forced to run a lot so she'd become faster than most people.

Extra: Chloe has a few tattoo's that she had to try very hard for her trainers to let her get.

It really depends on who the covenant leader is going to be. Once we've decided that, you can ask them if they'd like a right hand (wo)man.

Name: Dante Rodrigo Estevez
Age: 896
Apparent Age: Early 30s.
Gender: Male
Rank: Coven Leader
Human: Dominique Angelica Thompson

Personality: Dante wears a mask of cool calm. However, he is very quick to anger, and when his ire is roused that mask vanishes completely. He is bitter, dark, brooding and vengeful; he takes out his anger that God failed him and allowed him to become such a monster on others. There is little he enjoys more than seeing an individual submit to his will.

History/Bio: There are a number of stories regarding how the vampire known as Dante Rodrigo Estevez came into being. Some say he was birthed by the purest darkness itself. Others believe that he was born from the rivers of blood spilled during the holy wars in Jerusalem.

The most reasonable (and most likely) tale places Dante as a Spanish member of the Knights Templar, killed by Muslim vampires during the Second Crusade and turned moments before his true death. As a newborn vampire, he was bound to the will of his maker and forced to attack his brethren from the shadows. He bided his time and his rage, plotting his revenge. Decades later, on the night his free will was returned to him, he slaughtered the entire coven.

He returned to his home in Spain because he had nowhere better to be, joining the local coven. During the next few centuries, he developed a reputation for cruelty, bloodlust, and brutality, attaining a position as the leader's primary enforcer. However, when he was given an opportunity to follow settlers and establish an American coven in the 17th century, Dante did not refuse, becoming one of a handful of beings to bring vampirism to the New World.

As time went on, Dante migrated from the Caribbean to the area that would become Southern California, and eventually Los Angeles. A few decades ago, another coven migrated to LA, and after a few light turf wars, he and the other leader agreed that it would be better for all involved if the two covens merged under joint leadership. A year later, Dante's counterpart vanished under mysterious circumstances, and he quickly became sole leader of the group. Many suspect he murdered his partner.

Sounds like fun! I actually have a vampire character I've been dying to use and this story sounds perfect...

Name: Dolores "Lolita" de los Santos
Age: 494
Apparent Age: 16
Gender: Female
Rank: Enforcer for the Coven
Human:

Personality: Lolita is what happens when you give a spoiled teenage girl eternal life and sinister power. She does what she wants when she wants. This includes sex, drugs, and biting necks. Lolita is no melancholy goth chick. She's a wild gang banger (in more ways than one) that lives in the moment. She can be vicious against her enemies, willing to use fangs or firepower to put them away. While she seems loyal to the coven, Lolita thinks Dante is stuck in the old ways and is beginning to think perhaps new blood is needed at the top.

History/Bio: Dolores de los Santos was the infant daughter of a Spanish conquistador during the destruction of the Aztec Empire. Her father was gleefully slaughtering a native family when an old priest cursed him to have a child more bloodthirsty than him. Lolita, as she was nicknamed, grew up in Mexico, spoiled by her father. On her sixteenth birthday, the de los Santos family celebrated with a party that lasted well into the night. At the stroke of midnight a large bat flew down from the dark skies and bit Lolita. Feeling faint, she went to bed. Her family soon followed. But Lolita awoke with a ravenous hunger and fed upon her own flesh and blood.

At first she was horrified by her new existence as a vampire. But the rush of power and the promise of immortality soon cause Lolita to embrace it. Over the centuries she lived well by taking control over groups of bandits and plundering the small town of Mexico. Eventually she made her way into America. Setting down in LA in the latter part of the 20th century, Lolia establish a dangerous street gang she brazenly dubbed Los Vampiros. When she was discovered by Dante's coven, she joined up and quickly rose through the ranks. Lolita's own abilities at death-dealing and her private army of thugs made her a valuable enforcer of Dante's will. She has risen quite far... the question is will she try to rise even higher?

Extra: Lolita has several piercings and tattoos.

I have two different ideas in mind not sure which I want to play more.

The confident, elegant, beauty that is the branded human. Mysterious yet she has this way about her that simply attracts a person or vampire even beyond her delicious blood. And she only truly answers to the one she would call her master.

Or the female infiltrator strong willed, confident, determined and unbroken in any way. Coming to find and destroy the coven as she was told. But something in the back of her mind is drawn to the darkness. Will she give in to that darkness or bring about the end of it?

Which sounds more interesting?

Also, a question for Nitrate: how much does age factor into a vampire's strength/power for this particular roleplay?

Appearance:
Name: Dominique Angelica Thompson (though she denounces her fathers name.))
Age: 27
Gender:female
Role:Branded Human
Vampire: Dante Rodrigo Estevez

Blood Taste: there is an exotic chocolate that is infused with spice. A perfect combination of sweet and spice, one can swear to taste the coco bean and the sun that it was grown in within her blood.

Personality:Dom is a truly passionate person to one who knows her well enough to know so.  Even before he found her she was talented and beautiful but she kept to herself. A mystery to most around her, turning away men as the came to her. No because she was a snob but because they could never really meet her passions well enough with her own. In fact she is a very passionate person, fiery and uninhabited. She just never met anyone that sparked her fire nearly enough to really keep her. Elegant, confident, an old soul for sure. She seems to be able to spark the truest of passion in most any that come upon her. Though she seems to only give over to hers with one man.

History/Bio: Dominique was born to a well off family, one that sought to make her a woman of worth. Giving her the best education that money could buy. Music, the cello to be correct, singing, dancing. Languages of the world, Italian, french, Greek, Japanese, and even Latin. Taking fencing and gymnastics as a way to keep her body in shape. She grew to be an extremely confident and well educated woman.

Her parents thinking that in doing such that had insured her a place within high society and a well of marriage. They were well surprised with what happened. They had arranged for a merger of sorts, a marriage to a man she could never love. A man that had his passions so hidden away he'd lost them completely. Dominique was not a woman to be tamed by such a man. Turning down the marriage and the money her parents were to leave her she took what she could carry and left to explore the world and find herself.

She traveled the world making her way best she could with what she had. Mostly her music paying her way, the emotion and inspiration not to mention the passion she fed through her music drew crowds every time. She was a muse bound to earth for some reason.

Eventually she made her way to LA, and that is where after so many years of turning away men that could never meet her passion. Dominique found one that could. He not only met them, he enticed and fed them. They played a game of cat and mouse, for a while she didn't know whom was seducing whom. She found that she loved playing for him, exposing her true self to him and for some reason feeling safe in doing such. Dominique finally went to him and gave into the burning passions that were within her. That night she will never forget...

And she has been with Dante Rodrigo Estevez ever since.

Hm...I usually don't play vampires, but I haven't been able to dabble in the darker stuff lately. So, I'll be writing up a vampire profile if that's all right. If a male human infiltrator isn't found, then I can easily switch over as I'm sure vampires are easier to find than most humans.

Alright. I ask primarily because I love Oni's character concept, but if age is the deciding factor for a vampire's power, Lolita could not realistically challenge Dante for supremacy (at least, not in a fair fight :P).

What are vampire weaknesses, exactly? Again, a lot of them are subject to interpretation.

Yeah I got the 'whatever' feeling you just talked about as well. It's not hair off my back. There was no character to be excited about anyway.

Vampire weaknesses, are pretty standard. Sunlight, and most religious deity's. Not just Christian ones because I feel like that's kind of rude to other religions. I can see why they wouldn't want to eat garlic as it's so potent. Vampire reflections can be seen, I have no idea why they wouldn't be as it's the boy that is seen and not the soul.

I do have a problem with the age as well, 3,000 seems pretty old and more than likely she'd have to be from some remote country where they worshiped vampires at some point. I don't see much point in making an OOC thread unless I'm forced to. Originally it was an interest check. But I feel it would be cluttering up the boards if I made an OOC as well.

Yeah I agree the idea for a against the vampire hierarchy idea is nice, but 3000 seem a bit much for the age. Perhaps she is from a well to do vampire line and since she is younger that is why she is forced to wed. A younger vampire rebel trying to break the social standard seems like a fun idea too.

Just a suggestion not trying to down anyone's idea or anything.

The issue of changing Dante's age, though, is twofold:

1) Oni's character wouldn't be able to challenge him even in an unfair fight.
2) I imagined him specifically as a former member of the Knights Templar.

I had said I couldn't do vampires. I tried, and failed lol, but I remember I did say if you couldn't find a human male that I would play an infiltrator because humans I can do. Just let me know because that's one thing that isn't against my O/Os, and I know I can do well.

But I do have a question, how are they infiltrating exactly? Are they posing as blood dolls or are they actually going to secretly barge into a vampire's mansion and just start mowing them down? Because it would seem easier to get them in the day time if that was the case.  ::)

Lol. We are posing as Blood letters.

lol That is going to be very interesting. Just because when I think of the character I have envisioned for this and the possibility of him getting drained for his blood, it makes me think his reaction is like a child going to the doctor's to get his blood drawn. He's not going to cry or raise hell lol, but he is going to be disturbed. Might give him a fang-phobia, and his goal by the end is to have a collection of fangs that he plans to rip out of the mouth of every vampire he kills.

Real Name: Austin ďOzĒ Callaway
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Role: Human Infiltrator
Vampire: None yet
Blood Taste: Passion fruit nectar and honey
Personality: Austin, or ďOzĒ as his team likes to call him, often gripes when he has to do something hard. Heís the kind of man to be grumbling to himself in an almost therapeutic fashion. Complaining or voicing his frustrations allows him to further think on how to deal with a situation, get out of it, or annoy his partners.

Oz has a natural scowl to his expression. He looks always mad about something when thatís just how his face is: stern. His brows appear more furrowed, his eyes sharp and hazel, and one has yet to see him smile. It is believed that his appearance is a result of his rigorous training.

Oz has a bloodsucking phobia. He doesnít like the sight of vampire fangs and thus, he wasnít too thrilled when he learned that he was to be infiltrating the coven as a blood letter. The idea of having some creatureís fangs inside him disturbs him, and if he is bitten, he will have nervous sweats, and if he doesnít control his breathing, he may just faint.

Training has taught Oz to be patient. Naturally, he is an impatient person, and he doesnít like to be left in the dark about any plans.

History/Bio: Ozís parents are Australian and they fled to the United States to escape the nightmares of the Outback only to find that the U.S.ís situation was no different. Ozís phobia was suspected to have strangely been a result of when his mother, Lora Callaway was pursued by vampires while pregnant with him. Even as a baby, his blood had been so potent that the vampires could smell him, and Lora mentioned an incident where a vampire had bitten her belly once just to get him.

Lora surrendered her child to the Los Angeles Secret Police Division, believing that they would be able to protect her son better than she and her husband could. Thus, Austin was nicknamed Oz because of his Australian heritage. Because he grew up in Los Angeles, an Australian accent didnít carry with him. He learned English and Spanish, and underwent intense physical and mental training. Unfortunately, the training couldnít cure his phobia. There was nothing the police could do to simulate an actual vampire bite, and so by giving him the infiltration assignment, they only hope that frequent exposure would cure him. A plus side to the situation was that his phobia would make him come off as an average male rather than an experienced slayer.

Extra: Oz excels at knife-throwing. He becomes a very lethal man if he manages to get his hands on anything sharp. He is an expert in the basics taught to him by his instructors such as firearm handle, martial arts, and bluff.

Appearance:Black hair that runs about shoulder length, Black eyes that one could get lost in. Fair skin that is pale as the moon but soft as silk.
Name:Sorina
Age:19
Gender:Female
Role:Branded human
Vampire:In the covern, until claimbed.
Blood Taste: Mocha with caramel drizzle
Personality: very submissive and polite. She is content with the hand life has given her. She sees life optimistically despite the harsh appearance. She can sometimes come off as being perky or hyper.
History/Bio: She was raised by the system. Moving from house to house. Her parents abandoned her and no one seemed to really want to keep her. She she grew up this way. Her grades were awefull as she was moved around so much. She barely graduated at the bottom of her class. She wasn't dumb she just got screwed by the system. No one wanted to give her any time. She was then Bitten and whisked away to the covern. She almost seemed happy there. She felt wanted with a since of stability.
Extra:

Currently I'm sorry I can't accept this. I just don't think that your character is as thought out as I'd like.

As for the other question about starting, let me edit in a few things and we are waiting for WhiteTiger to edit the rest of her character then we can start.

OOOooohhh oooohhh can it be in non con exotic?  I'd love some non cone scenes with characters and npc.. ;)  hee hee  Though, being vampires, this may fit into the extreme exotic with gore, biting and blood play etc.. ;D

Besides, if we don't allow non-con, how's Dante going to properly put not one, but two spoiled, bratty vampires in their places? XD

So in this RP vampires can have children like living beings? Because I never heard of vampires having sex. They would bite each other and share blood but I didn't think a dead dude could get it up let alone produce semen. I thought they could only sire children. Take a human in as their child and turn them into a vampire. It's kind of like if zombies could reproduce.

Dhampirs are the offspring of vampires and humans so there's a precedent for bloodsuckers being able to pitch tents.

*is laughing and not sure what Oni means by pitching tents..lmao

and Dark Deception.. There is no developmental prologue to this fantasy game... and traditionally all vampires came from the "one" supposed original, throwing out that nasty countess that would have all the virgin girls in the surrounding villages killed and bled, so she could bath in it, seeking eternal life.  So from The Count Dracule, the "original" one and "only" did spring up the legend of him being a blood thirsty demon, giving way to the "Vampire".  With that legend, written by Bram Stoker, he "reproduced" per say by biting his victims 3 times and only partially drinking from them.  Then we go on to the legend of the the vampire as we know it today, but since the game didn't start with certain qualities of definition or a prologue, per say, why not?  If you look at my req thread and my ons and offs page, you'll see where I have a game idea where I've created an entire species, cousins to the humans that are living beings... but with every quality a vampire has... ;)   It's fun... always keep the, What if?", factor in mind.  It keeps you from being stuck thinking in a box and opens up your imagination wide to worlds, possibilities and infinite creativity!  XD

You made your own race of vampire in order to ignore the idea that originally they were undead (thus a bloodsucking corpse). I've seen it done by many people. Even Twilight has done it. But if this game is going to adopt your vampire concept, then as you said, it doesn't make them vampires. I swear I saw a film that was called Skinwalkers or something. Where Skinwalkers was the name for the vampire-like people in it, but because they weren't corpses he couldn't call them vampires and so stuck with the Skinwalker idea.

You also said dhampir and this has so far been a vampire game. I don't think a dhampir is one of the options to play.

Dracula made vampires as vampires bit one person to the next. The oldest vampires and the ones who were bitten by him directly were the strongest ones. As it continued on, it just diluted.

But any who, I was just bringing this up because depending on the character, I'm normally against necrophilia. This is a human character, if I might have been on a demon or some other dark creature that I believe wouldn't care, then I also wouldn't care. But if its cold, dead, and nasty, my dude's not going to be touching the dead fish. So please, if the game requires so, just use him as a blood bank.

vampire
vam∑pire
   [vam-pahyuhr] Show IPA
noun
1.
a preternatural being, commonly believed to be a reanimated corpse, that is said to suck the blood of sleeping persons at night.
2.
(in Eastern European folklore) a corpse, animated by an undeparted soul or demon, that periodically leaves the grave and disturbs the living, until it is exhumed and impaled or burned.
3.
a person who preys ruthlessly upon others; extortionist.
4.
a woman who unscrupulously exploits, ruins, or degrades the men she seduces.
5.
an actress noted for her roles as an unscrupulous seductress: the vampires of the silent movies.
Origin: 1725Ė35; (< F) < German Vampir < Serbo-Croatian vŗmpīr, alteration of earlier upir (by confusion with doublets such as vȁzdūh, ȕzdūh air (< Slavic vŭ-), and with intrusive nasal, as in dýbrava, dumbrȁva grove); akin to Czech upŪr, Polish upiůr, Old Russian upyrĭ, upirĭ, (Russian upżrʾ) < Slavic *u-pirĭ or *ǫ-pirĭ, probably a deverbal compound with *per- fly, rush (literal meaning variously interpreted)
Related forms
vam∑pir∑ic  [vam-pir-ik] Show IPA, vam∑pir∑ish  [vam-pahyuhr-ish] Show IPA, adjective

As you can see, the term Vampire has many colloquial and cultural expressions and definitions.. and ummmmmm what do you mean ,  "But if its cold, dead, and nasty, my dude's not going to be touching the dead fish."... not sure how you meant that...

Corpse, corpse, and it still says corpse, even reanimated corpse ie. zombie. The dead fish in that metaphor would be the undead vagina. The clap would be an understatement if any intercourse was to happen with that thing.

looks at link and post... hmmmmm..interesting... as 3 out of the 5 definitions, i.e. the majority doesn't say anything about a"corpse"

3.
a person who preys ruthlessly upon others; extortionist.
4.
a woman who unscrupulously exploits, ruins, or degrades the men she seduces.
5.

You are being a bit literal in a game of fantasy, don't you think?

You're trying to dodge the fact that when she wrote this game she clearly meant vampires the folklorish monsters. The other three definitions were metaphors of their time. I'm being literal to the creatures this game is about. You're trying to RP a non-vampire. If you're RPing a devil, then RP a devil. If you're rping a vampire, then RP a vampire. If you're rping a dhampir, then RP a dhampir.

You can go ahead and live in your fantasy world. Say the sky is purple and an orange isn't an orange. I simply said my character wasn't going to be screwing, forced to screw, any vampires. He's just going to be a blood bank. Please respect my O/Os. It would be a major off.

I'm going to say either Bondage-Exotic or Light-Exotic. I'm leaning more towards Bondage since there are humans with Stockholm syndrome in this RP. I can't imagine non-con because you can't rape the willing and I can't imagine Extreme because Extreme to me would be for serious gore in the "nasty" since and not the pleasurable sense as well as for toilet play or play that'd make people sick. I'm not squeamish, but if there was going to be stuff happening to bother my offs I'll simply turn the other cheek.

Hey, why don't you just allow players to make their own thread when they're getting randy. That way they can put the thread in whatever category they want and those of us who don't want to see it don't have to.

My character isn't a rapist, so unless everybody else is, then it can't be in Bondage-Exotic. I'm not planning for him to be raping anyone. I'm also not planning for him to be having sex with anyone, but if it happens it does (the human-to-human sex that is). Only thing extreme he'd be doing is vampire killing if need be, but being a blood letter in a mansion full of nothing but vampires. Killing one is pretty risky unless he can somehow get away with it. I see only disadvantages for the infiltrators. The job is pretty suicidal.

Alucard was the ultimate Mary-Sue vampire in Hellsing who stamped the hope of me ever liking vampires ever again. Bram Stoker and the old horror films where vampires actually were vampires are the only films/books spot on, imho.

Hey,

I'm just saying I go with the flow of the games. If something goes down, he gets caught, then so be it. I'm glorious at character death if it so happens. The vampires would have to be very careless pushovers to be killed off so easily. I'm not expecting them to be. I'm also not expecting them to be good at keeping their hands to themselves.

I was going to have there be a lot of manipulation going on. Such as certain rumors being spread, and destabilizing the balance that way.

I read even before you changed it the detail of her being a possible turncoat, but she'd have to gain the infiltrators trust. At least, my character's trust, and he's not going to be telling anyone he's an infiltrator anytime soon. So unless Lady's character rats him out, your character is best trying to get her character on your side than mine. My character doesn't like vampires. He's not going to trust them for anything so she'd have to jump through some serious hoops to convince him otherwise.

That's why I didn't even bother to consider that as an advantage because of the amount of persuasion it would take and the investigation. She'd have to find out about them somehow or maybe Lady's char will approach her about it.

I'm going to just offer some insight on something...

It seems kind of...illogical that the local police, the LAPD (even if it was a special unit in it) would have been involved with the abduction of children and making them into slayers. Because vampires are a nationwide problem and perhaps even a world issue, wouldn't the FBI be involved with the program? The Feds are more confidential with how they do things and they also have more jurisdiction state, national, and international-wise.

Now, if a special unit in the FBI was responsible for the program, then because they have more money/funding from the government, they could do more than just train slayers. They could possibly have invested genetic engineering to make them above just any Special Forces soldier. Because they could have easily just picked a person from Delta Force or a proficient contract killer to do the job since they're already trained and with further training or en mass could get the job done.

I was just wondering why just two people? Besides their potent blood what makes these two people so special that makes them different from anyone else. They could have easily been used as vampire bait.

lol  This is probably because it is a small player game with only a few slots for characters available.  World crime is a problem in Batman and Spider man but Bat man only protects Gotham... XD and I forgot Spiderman's city, same with Superman too...

Same in anime, like Bleach and many other animes...

Spiderman is just New York.

I guess, I was just trying to offer some suggestions to balance the advantage and disadvantage levels. Right now, the scale is tipped to the floor.

It's not a huge coven, it doesn't have thousands of vampires in this one specifically, any more than two infiltrators coming in at a time would be suspicious. There is a possibility that the LAPD could be a small part of a big operation. You never know. Now, I'm going to get back to writing my post.

That is true indeed... and in that light.. maybe you can offer up some more potent potential and lethal ideas for the two infiltrators..  ;)

Well, I didn't understand how they'd get into the coven with silver nitrate on them. That'd be like trying to slip through customs with cocaine. So...yeah. I didn't think they'd have any weapons on them so they'd have to use their surroundings. Then there's the talk of freedom. How much freedom do blood letters have? Can they venture outside the mansion or can they only venture upon its grounds? Whoever is going to give them silver nitrate would definitely have to be an outside source and someone that can perhaps plant it in a spot only they'd know so they can retrieve it later.

True. Thanks for clearing it up that this is a tiny coven. I was just musing on how many NPCs there'd be living in the same house. So what's the difference between blood letters and branded? Are blood letters just servants or are they potential branded humans, or both?

Yeah, I'm going to spare everyone from my analytic babble. It is a trade of mine and it will be my job to examine things inside and out soon. I'm going to be writing up something for an RP and then maybe watching Watchmen. I more than likely won't since any movie being 3 hrs scares me, but I'll be watching something else in that case.  :P

Alright I went ahead and put it in Bondage simply because I donít want to see anything extreme, sorry guys >.< here is the link to the IC. I hope that you all enjoy it. I tried my hardest to make it interesting without dragging and with putting enough information in that anyone could go off of it.

Deception, you ask so many good questions, all I can say is if I tell you everything through here, there will leave nothing of surprise for the others. I had intended on pming you to talk tactics and how they were getting the silver nitrate in.

They cannot venture outside the grounds, the mansion sits on quite a bit of land and is surrounded by tall brick walls. The mansion is fine to venture out of in the day time as well as the night time though theyíd be more occupied then. Branded means they belong to a specific vampire, blood letters can be fed off of by anyone. Itís that simple. As far as freedom go, branded might have a bit more freedom depending on their master, blood letters as long as they are at their feeding area when they are supposed to be, itís fine. They are potential branded humans as well as servants. During they day theyíll have certain duties to attend to or orders to follow if given any.

I couldn't see non-con really happening actually unless it was with either myself of Deception and seeing as he doesn't want anything to do with vampires, I doubted it would happen. Anyone who is a blood letter is basically willing to have sex with a vampire as well. Sorry Tiger. I can have it moved if you'd like, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult.

I think Lolita should be the one to round up the new bloodletters... seems like the kind of thing she'd be delegated.

Hey,

If there's one thing I don't like, it's when people control my characters. I didn't put it in my O/Os because I've never experienced it, and I didn't think I ever would, though I heard people do it, and now I see it. If the character isn't yours, don't play it. I don't care how good you wanted to make your vampire seem, if you didn't get my permission to do something to my character, then don't do it. It's one of the basic rules of RP etiquette.

I'm already shocked to know that vampires can take showers when running water was one their major weaknesses. This should have been a devil game.

ummmmmmmm, if you are referring to me, in life and/or being in character, touching or saying something to your character, based on the observed characters position and attitude, left from his/her last post is NOT modding if your referring to me.... dude... chill... it's a GAME...

You didn't "touch" you had your character strike my character without my consent. I had been meaning to update my O/Os and I just did to add that little RP violation you committed that I didn't think I'd ever encounter. But I guess people are still learning RP etiquette. I'm not sticking around. You have some audacity to feel that you didn't do anything wrong. You can keep playing your flawless Mary Sue vampires. Make them sparkle. Make them do whatever you want. I'm not sticking around for this RP is only putting me in a bitter mood.

Kill my character off, I really don't care. I'm out this game. Peace and good riddance.

Actually, making their character to do anything,
Quote
A look of shock seemed to cross his face and then she felt his emotions withdraw.  Suddenly she observed the physical motions of him trying to get out of his gag, but his intentions dripped with malice.
anything even if it's as simple as that, is considered God-Mode by a lot of people including myself.

Sorry to see you go DD.

The only type of sentence that could be construed as modding was this one:
A look of shock seemed to cross his face and then she felt his emotions withdraw.  Suddenly she observed the physical motions of him trying to get out of his gag, but his intentions dripped with malice.

I'm going to teach you something about role play so you don't do this in any other games.

Quote
"You won't last long here blood bag if you keep that attitude up and open handed smacked him hard across the face, knowing this would bruise him and the delivery guys would get the blame.

That is a god-mode. The reason why it's a god-mode is because you didn't give the player the right to respond and you also didn't make it an intention. A player always has the right to respond to an action no matter what you think their response should be. If you had made your action an intention, I would have obliged but because you selfishly took away my right to respond because I don't know, maybe you were afraid I would have said the move didn't hit or something, that is the only reason we're here where we are now. Regardless, I hope you learned something today about RP Etiquette because if you do that in other Rps, I guarantee most people will not like it.

Which is now taken out.  1) But your character had a bad attitude,  in such a fictional setting, even a normal human could observe the attitude and behaviors. What were you doing in a game to begin with if your characters doesn't have any strength to take a hit.  (and it wasn't on your ons and offs) 2) I simply gave your character a good reason to select and particularly hate my character.  In books and film, they call that motive, plot layering etc... and learning etiquette?   3) My goodness.. you want to discuss that when you whined all yesterday about what a real vampire is, coming in here trying to take control of and managing the game and perception/ plot of the characters, when it is LadyNitrates.

Now my comments for excuse number 1) what does that have to do with you god-moding? Did you take the fact that he dislikes vampires personally that you felt it okay to strike my character and not give me the option to respond? Did it make you feel better? Did it satisfy your vendetta? And excuse number 2) If you wanted to do anything, you could have PMed me and we could have talked about it. You could have even PMed me and said, "Hey, I was going to have my character strike yours. Are you okay with that? Or hey, I feel if I do "this" then it'll do "that." You didn't do any of that. That's what put you in the wrong. My character doesn't like vampires. Why would there need to be a reason when he already wouldn't like your character because she is a vampire? Excuse number 3) Looked like you were struggling with this one. Also, I never tried to take over the game. There was much not mentioned in this game and I was asking my questions and wondering if the GM knew how much was missing. I even saw the flaws in this game and was wondering if she was aware and if she had any plans. My role in this game required more thought and planning than your role as vampire, especially with the scale of advantage and disadvantage being uneven. I needed to know what my options were. The GM PMed me and she reassured me about some things that were going to go on in game for our roles. Because I wasn't left in the dark, I felt I could play my role more effectively. You aren't the GM, so if you felt I was trying to take over a game that isn't yours, then that is your opinion. I still don't see what that has to do with you feeling you had to right to god-mode against me out of personal vendetta.

As she was posting the above post, It was already taking it out.  I came back to see this... which had already been done.  Such small things are done quite often and you were not on line to contact at the time of my post.  All you had to do was say, "You know what?  I'm really not comfortable with that... ", and it would have been changed to make you feel comfortable.  My character is farrrrrr from perfect, she is a spoiled little brat who is waiting for Dante to put her in her place... and If he smacks my character....... so what!  It's not me, it's the character he is hitting, and neither of our characters are  realllll........ (it's a thing called fiction, in what ever genre)

What you are trying to say I should have done, is what you should have done before you even god-moded. So please take your own advice. God-moding isn't a small thing on this site. It offends people and many people will stop Rping with you if you do it. It is very rude. As far you mentioning your character's personality being far-from perfect, I said flawless, Mary Sue vampire. You dodge the weaknesses of vampires. If you're okay with people god-moding against you, then that is something YOU are okay with. Just because you are okay with something doesn't mean the world will and the fact you didn't take consideration of that is wrong. It really doesn't matter now. I shouldn't have fed the troll, but I did. What's done is done and I hope you learned something today.

I won't miss you for finding something wrong with everything and trying to control the game.  You write good.  That is all I can say.

OOC: I'll probably need to revise a time or two. And if one of the Elders wants to be Gavin's "Maker" I can add that in.

Name: Gavrosh “Gavin” LeSangre
Age: 191
Apparent Age: 26
Gender: Male
Rank: Hunter/ Soldier
Human: none
Personality: Gavin may seem quiet and analytical at first, but those who know him well recognize him as impulsive and thrill-seeking. He controls his emotions well, but when he is pushed too far he makes no attempt to restrain himself. He tries very hard to stay up on current fashion and slang, a defensive habit that has helped him to adapt over the years. He’s bullheaded and uncompromising when he wants something, but tires quickly once he has it. He has also trained himself over the years to build up a mild immunity to silver.

History/Bio: Gavrosh, was born in France during the early 1800’s, a member of the impoverished lower class. When he was a young man, he was at the forefront of the French Revolutionary War and fought valiantly for months before he was caught on the wrong side of a barricade and cut down by enemy fire.

On the verge of death and low on blood, Gavrosh was pitied by a silent observer who carried him to safety and saved his “life” by sharing his potent, blood with the dieing rebel. The Benefactor was hundreds of years old, and his blood changed the young Frenchman’s destiny forever.

Gavin’s Maker taught him much about discipline and secrecy, but couldn’t give him what he needed most: A reason to live. Gavin went on to fight in World Wars I and II, before eventually immigrating to the United States, going out on his own for the first time since his Second-Life began. Now he serves the Coven, and does whatever is required of him by the older vampires.

His loyalty will be tested in the coming days, and he has yet to declare which of his elders he will support, wanting merely to be on the Winning Side.

Extra: Since he was first turned, Gavin has worn Silver chains around his neck, starting very small and moving up in size as he gained more strength. Now, he is capable of wearing several thick silver chains without much hindrance, and is never seen without at least one chain around his neck.

We should probably have an OOC thread. I think it would be good to define abilities, locations, duties, past histories, etc. And I'm not sure if having a bunch of drama from ex-players in this thread is a good recruiting tool...
