Steampunk - Pleasure Dome - < Interest Check > Now Closed

 I have been kicking this idea around ever since I went to look up what Steampunk was and became intrigued with the idea of an alternate future reality where gears ie ..clockwork and steam was the inventors and tinkers top technology . So I got to thinking about how to incorporate that idea and combine it with a playground for such eccentric inventing types to come and let off a little steam and enjoy their various kinks that they might have on the carnal side of their lives . Below is what I managed to come up with ...hoping to find other individuals willing to help bring it to life so to speak .
 

• Hoping to put a group together with a maximum of 12 players for a nice kick-off .
• Game is open to all - sex of the player does not have to be the same as their player.
• Would like applying players to be able to keep up with a posting schedule once every 3-4 days or more welcomed.
• Detailed Posts are appreciated and a general length of two or more paragraphs gives others something to work with.
• Going to hold the game to a light bondage orientation but don't mind a few characters geared that way.
• All characters submitted should have some interesting kink or fetish they wish to explore.
• Character Sheet including a pic of said character required and will be approved for admittance to the game.

The pleasure Dome is a place on the outskirts of this society that is a modern day inventor's guild association . Inventors , Tinkers and Merchants come there to record their latest inventions , put them on display in a showcase type arena ...purchase trinkets , trade and socialize . It is a convention style atmosphere where one can let off a little steam , enjoy their carnal side with an anything goes atmosphere. Various interesting modes of transportation ...via , land , air and water are used to get to this isolated location and seems to be one of pride and competition amongst the guild members. 



All inventors and visitors are checked in by Tom and given a room and a pass card , purpose of the visit to the Pleasure Dome is stated and a weapons check completed . All firearms and weapons can be collected at the time of check out . Getting Mouthy with Tom would not be advised as most fear he is not all that sane and it is not uncommon for one to have disappeared on occasion upon visiting the Pleasure Dome ...those unlucky souls have their mode of transportation confiscated by Security and the wares sold off in a sweet auction.

Carla has a fetish for ears.  She loves to bite, nibble, kiss, blow into, lick and play with ears in any other imaginable way possible.   So a warming to the wise.  Make sure your ears are clean when coming within 3 feet of the good doctor she does not take kindly to dirty ears. 

Character Personality :
Normally kind and caring.  Some would even venture to say absolutely lovable. But beware... antagonize or piss off at your own risk.  C.C does not get mad she gets even with a vengeance.
With a mean streak as deep as her capacity for love and tenderness.

Background Information:
Her grandfather being the recipient of an artificial leg, arm and hearing aid was Carla's inspiration and reason for becoming an inventor of artificial limbs and other medical devices.  Even at the age of six she had a skilled steady hand and often helped her grandfather make adjustments on the limbs he wore. 

By the age of 8, C.C had built her first robot who she affectionately calls Click.  Click has remained with her to this day as a faithful companion.  Helping her with the heavy lifting and sometimes helps with the construction of the artificial limbs and other devices she makes in her work shop which is attached to her medical offices. 

Her offices being located in The Pleasure Dome having been personally invited by the owner Lee Chang to set up shop in order to provide health care for his employees.  Which Carla had agreed to providing she was allowed to continue her own research into artificial limbs and other medical devices.  One rumor that was never quite squashed or swept under the rugs was that some of those who happened to cross Tom ended up in C.C's hands so that she could perform her experimental surgeries in an effort to perfect her equipment.  Of course that may have just been part of the scare tactics of the owner and upper management but one just never really knew did they.

On the rare occasions Carla does choose to leave the Pleasure Dome which she has come to consider her home her most favorite form of transportation is her Widow Steampunk Spider.  Which she makes a point of taking out at least every Sunday afternoon for a little spin around town.

The hard, rough leather, changing to smooth, satiny silk... It simply drives her crazy! Naturally, Selena has designed many an outfit like that, mostly for her own wardrobe. This fetish for both leather and silk translates in the bedroom as a love for light bondage in heavy leather belts and light silk scarves. Since Selena considers herself, above all, an artist, even play in the bedroom must be thus made into an art!

Ever a bright and inquisitive young woman, Selena reads in her spare time. Her favourite subjects of study are alchemy and anachropology.
Background Information: Selena was born to her courtesan and one of her many well-paying customers. If Irina Yttrium knew who Selena's father was, she never mentioned, determined to raise her child by herself. Young Selena knew better than to ask, too. And so, Selena was brought up surrounded by her mother's rich patrons, and learnt from a young age the art of conversation, dance, and dressing to enhance her appearance. When her mother was not around to take care of her, Selena was often left in the care of Irina's personal dressmaker, an elderly lady named Katherin whom Selena soon took a liking to. It was during Irina's long absenses, being a hired escort to some rich man or other, that Selena learnt to sew. With her eye for fashion inherited from her mother, and skill with the needle learnt from Katherin, Selena soon became a fair fashion designer. At the age of ten, Selena was making herself useful at the Pleasure Dome, repairing the torn clothes of the employees. By the time she turned fifteen, her entire wardrobe was filled with dresses of her own design and needlework. Character Personality: Thadeus is a light hearted and boisterous man with an easy nature that often makes people forget that He's both an officer and a coldhearted killer. He loves to be sociable and appreciates a bottle of rum, a warm and willing body, a fine piece of tech, a proper meal and good company, in that order.   
Background Information: Thadeus was born into a life of aristocratic duties and wealth he never wanted, longing instead for the freedom of the open skies. His father thought his sons intellect wasted on such nonsense and tried to teach him the ways of the gentry instead.  His mother and grandfather, Thaddeus Sr, However often indulged his interests, often sneaking the boy books on navigation, airships, aeronautic life, and gadgetry. Determined to prove, to his father, the worth of his dreams, Thaddeus built his own flight pack using a set of outdated blueprints from an old book. He was eight, and the resulting explosion cost him dearly. His entire right torso was damaged and while they managed to find his arm the shoulder elbow joint and hand all had to be replaced. With much of the tissue severely damaged even with the most skilled of surgeons and Techno-medics that money could by at the time he never fully recovered. Thaddeus has worn a hydraulic brace on the arm ever since to compensate. Despite the seriousness of his injuries he refused to give up and successfully built a fully functional flightpack of his own design, the very next year. Impressed by his sons willpower and obvious passion Thaddeus's father became one of the boys greatest supporters, helping him to get enrolled in the Royal Academy of Aeronautics and Engineers, and later the Air-Naval Institute. In both cases Thaddeus graduated at the top of his class, showing a knack for gadgeteering that one of his instructors described as "bordering on the supernatural."  Upon graduation Thaddeus rose through the ranks quickly, despite several reprimands for "drinking and conducting himself in a manner unbecoming of an officer."  He currently serves with dubious distinction upon the The HMS Monsoon. He is on leave however and has chosen to visit the "Dome" for both a bit of RnR and the chance to see and possibly purchase, new tech for his ship.

Very nice character minerva7790 .....well thought out .... a seamstress / courtesan sounds lovely . I did find a pic of a little boutique ...maybe she has a little store to sell clothing as well as mend things ...giving her a bit more importance to the owner . We can generate a thread then for your own private use as a suite that would include your bedchambers .  Giving you ample opportunity to peddle all your characters wares to the best of her abilities .

Character Personality: Lilith is a cold, analytical soul. Some say her inventions show more emotion than she does. She is incredibly curious, and obsessed with knowing how and why everything works ... and that means everything, no matter how small and trivial. She's also a perfectionist, everything must be done in precisely the right order, in the right way, or it's not acceptable to her.

A simple smile, for Lilith, is a huge show of emotion. She often seems detached and uncaring, but doesn't mean she is. Despite being a genius, she's socially awkward, and far more at home reading books or adjusting the gear ratios of a difference engine than making small talk with someone else. (Rumor has it, though, that when she takes a lover to bed with her - rare as that is - the icy wall of logic that surrounds her melts away, and she turns into a passionate, uncontrollable tigress.)

Background Information: Lilith is the daughter of Victor Van Stratten, a renowned scientist and inventor who was obsessed with travel to the stars. Her mother, Martha, died in childbirth. This left Lilith to be raised by her emotionally distant father, a few nannies who lived in terror of her father (they never lasted long, as they were treated badly and paid even worse) ... and by the vast libraries in her father's mansion. By the age of seven, Lilith had mastered the arts of calculus, physics, and chemistry; by the age of ten, she'd built her first calculation machine, called a difference engine, out of discarded parts from one of her father's navigation machines.

When she turned eighteen, her father announced that he'd be traveling to Venus in one of his rockets, and would be "home in a jiffy for tea". That was eight years ago. Lilith was a little sad, but had him declared legally dead so she could inherit his vast fortune. This in turn led to a multitude of suitors, all of whom Lilith keeps politely turning away, as she considers most of them her intellectual inferiors, and annoyances that keep her from her work.

Lilith is followed almost everywhere by a clockwork android of her own invention, one she's named Omega. Omega is her bodyguard and servant ... and, some whisper, her favorite lover.



Recently, Lilith came across journals in her father's mansion regarding his work on rockets, and his intended travels. Looking to recreate some of his experiments, Lilith grew frustrated when she realized she didn't have the necessary equipment, or knowledge, to do so. So, looking for help, she headed for the Pleasure Dome ... partly to find answers for her questions, but partly to find meet people so she wouldn't be so alone in her mansion anymore.

Interested Fetish or Kinks: Part of the reasons for his frequent expeditions into wild and exotic places is to find new exotic partners to couple with.  As long as it is animate and willing, so is Daniel.  Daniel also has a fondness for hair, especially long hair that has been well-treated and taken good care of.

Description:



Character Personality: Bold and adventurous, Daniel never backs down from the prospect of finding new things to experience.  At times, Daniel can be rather cavalier about his own life and of those who follow him, all sacrificed on the altar of the next thrill and high.  In contrast, his passions run deep.  Once he has found something or someone that caught his attention, Daniel will devote an inordinate amount of energy on them to the exclusion of all other things until he tires of them or his new toy breaks in someway or fashion.  When he does set aside his monomaniacal obsessions, Daniel is very easy to get along with and generous and free with most things.

Background Information: The son of a minor viscount, it was expected that like his forebearers that Daniel would join the Imperial service and fight for God and Country as an officer.  Instead, he settled for schooling at college before dropping out during his second year and mysteriously falling off the face of the earth.  The next time he was seen was a year later when he returned via steamship with a crate of botanical samples and relics liberated from some forgotten civilization lost in the darkest hearts of the jungle.  Daniel would embark on several of these yearlong expeditions before finally settling down long enough to sell his story to the penny-dreadfuls and establish himself as Daniel Vanderholt, Gentleman Explorer.

When he is not in the field on some expedition or another, Daniel can be found busy at work in his residence known as the Glass Jungle, a massive glasshouse devoted to housing all of the flora and fauna samples he has brought back.  A devoted chemist, Daniel has devised many an ingenious tincture, serum, and drug from experimenting on his exotic samples.  Some of his creations, Daniel has kept for himself while others he sells to any willing buyer.  It has been said that whatever the need, Vanderholt has the right solution for your problems. 

In particular, Daniel has entered a cozy agreement with Lee Chang and the Pleasure Dome to sell Chang some of Daniel's more potent concoctions like Auroch Drops ["Apply One Drop Orally For One Hour Of The Vigor and Vim Of An Auroch With None Of The Hair Or Horn"] and Tendervine Pacification Spray ["Stop A Raging Thug In His Tracks"] to name a few in return for an spare laboratory and storage space on the premises and along with some other never revealed provisos.

Description :
Character Personality : Demure but playful, with a tongue that is occasionally too sharp for her own good (and which occasionally gets gagged for her trouble). She makes up for it by having a profoundly strong work ethic, and being very discreet.
Background Information : Jenna Malone - although few of the club's patrons ever bother to learn her last name, and she doesn't offer it freely - is the daughter of Irish immigrants. She was working in a somewhat less...savory...establishment when she caught a gentleman's eye, who recommended her to the proprietor. She's been working, quite ably, as a serving girl, dancer, and sometime distraction for the guests ever since.

Character Personality : Victor has always had an adventuring heart and so he had drifted from place to place, seeking new adventure and new experiences. No place has ever held his heart for more than a month or so. He tends to let his feet choose the destination, his mind more interested in the journey. Victor is full of youthful excitement and amazement whenever coming across something that he hasn’t experienced before, sometimes to the degree of getting himself into trouble. Of course when that happens he has his trusty sidearms to help him out.


Background Information: Victor was born to an inventor and his lovely wife. A childhood filled with excitement, Victor always had some new gizmo to play with thanks to the endless tinkering of his father. In fact, his left eyes his thanks to the skill of his father. After an unfortunate accident with an experimental firearm that took the sight from his left eye, his father was able to rig up an ocular device capable of magnification and determining compass points so he may know which way he is going even if he doesn’t know the destination. When he reached the tender age of sixteen, his father handed down the two pistols, gifts from his uncle, and set him upon the road, explaining that the best way to learn was to experience. For the last seven years he had wandered and explored, seeing the amazing sights of the world. Along his travels he had come across whispers of the Pleasure Dome. Yes, word had been messing with me lately when putting things on to E. I am getting quite annoyed with it as it posts correctly but then adjusts when I post it to the board. I will move it and fix it. As for the knife play, I was trying to go with the image and actually trying something new personally so don't think it will get too crazy but thanks for the warning dear Sasha. :)

Outfit is simple yet elegant.
Character Personality: Xias is a very reserved man with little to say.  Unless he is approached first, he is unlikely to approach others.  Considering his personality so far, it is hard to believe why he chose to be a bartender.  Although it is true that he is not very social, he enjoys the company of others and feeding off the energy of others.  Despite his laid-back and forgiving nature, he often packs heat and is also not afraid to use his brawn.  Not much else can be said about his personality, however, there is much more to him than his wall-flower-like facade.
Background Information: Both his father and mother were inventors and tinkerers, but he himself never found any interest in doing the same.  Growing up, he was often the child that no one remembered and so he aspired to be a no one by serving others behind a counter.  To this day he continues to do so, hoping his future has something more in hold for him.

But how did he get into the Pleasure Dome in the first place exactly?  Once he became interested in becoming a bartender, he occupied his time by mixing drinks and coming up with new cocktails and such... that wasn't all though.  He had no one to return home to and so he was reckless.  In one hand a glass of vodka; in the other a syringe.  Eventually he was involved with the darker side of society by dealing.  In little to no time he found himself as highly sought after man by the law.  Not so surprisingly, he was finally snitched on by a rat.  Not only was he arrested as a drug dealer but as a murderer of several people involved in his business.  Just as he was being placed on death row, Lee Chang bailed him out.  Chang's reasoning is still unknown to him this day.  All he knows though is that he owes him a lifetime debt of gratitude.

Now working at the bar in the Pleasure Dome for Chang, he draws in hundreds every night for his smooth as velvet wine and other drinks that only he knows how to perfect.

I would like to see a bit more added to the background.  How did he hook up working at the Pleasure Dome ?  How long has he been there  ?  Maybe he was a boyhood friend of the current owner Lee Chang come to help watch his back type thing .  What makes him loyal - maybe he had a run in with the law and Lee Chang bailed his ass out  ?  Maybe he has a specialty for brewing his own special moonshine ...perfecting the smoothest wine ...or has the art of bringing the "green fairy" to life - Absinthe .

Just a few ideas ...you can use all or none ...I just need a little more substance to that background .

Background Information :  Born in a well-to-do family, Kissinger was named after his great great grandfather, a recipient the Nobel peace prize.  Henry displays many qualities of his great great grandfather, savvy in politics and engineering; however, they bore him immensely.

The expectations and goals set by his family have caused him to abhor them and ultimately escape to The Pleasure Dome where he is content to play the piano and watch the lovely ladies dance… and watch them do other things as well. Description :
Character Personality : Quiet and secretive but not afraid to open up if engaged.    He's an avid listener and has heard many a story behind the bar.  Intelligent but modest so you'd never know it.  He's slow to anger, smooth, suave and very much a lady's man.  That's what got him into trouble in the first place.
Background Information :   EJ grew up one of five sons in a family of slaves.  They had plotted for years to find the right time to escape.  On the night of their attempt, he was the only one in his family who managed to escape.  His parents and brothers were captured and hanged.  Many years later his former owner fell on hard times and emancipated the rest of the slaves rather than sell them.  He worked his way out west where he found other former slaves building a new community and society and became a wealthy man after discovering oil on his land.  He soon became a very popular man among the women and he was more than happy to take advantage of the situation.  He always managed to stay one step ahead of a gelous husband or boyfriend or the law when he decided to broaden his horizons to women that some folks didn't feel he had the right to associate with.  A race riot resulting in a fire that wiped out most of the town erased his claim on the property but he had managed to hide away enough to be comfortable.  There's a legend floating around town that he was involved somehow in the riot that wiped out the town but no one knew where he went.  Well, he ended up at the Pleasure Dome.  On his first night there, forever and always the gentleman, he came to the rescue of a redheaded (one of his weaknesses) damsel in distress.  As a thank you, Lee Chang offered him a job.  In need of the money, he's been behind the bar ever since.

Oh no, he isn't likely to blow anyone up.  Or the Pleasure Dome.  In fact, the only thing blowing up are things that were expected to blow up, and only in the course of testing out just how well his weapons are at blowing things up in the first place.

The idea behind the character is that he plans on replacing existing weapons with his own horrific ones, and once people witness the results of said weapons, will be so disgusted that they realize the inherent folly behind violence and war and become peaceful.

As for why he's heading to the Pleasure Dome, I was thinking it's because he's on the run from some people who have completely missed the point of his inventions and are seeking to pervert his life's work to their own insane ends.  Finding an apprentice who also shares his ideas would be nice too.  He might even be interested in setting up shop, building armaments for the Pleasure Dome to secure it against attack (not that he'd ever expect them to be used of course).

Interested Fetish or Kinks: Touching, sensual and sexual aspects of.  Mephiston enjoys touching things with his hands, manipulating objects and feeling textures.

Character Personality: Mephiston seemingly bursts with energy, bouncing in his steps as he eagerly goes about his research.  When interested in something, Mephiston borders on the obsessive, the object of his interest under intense observation.  Much like most mad scientists, he can be prone to tangents in conversation and his curiosity seems to be overwhelming, propelling him in alternate avenues of invention.  Tempering all of this is his amiable nature: Mephiston is quite the gentleman and very friendly, openly displaying warmth and affection to those he considers friends.  He is also very expressive of his emotions: happiness makes him wreathed in smiles while sorrow nearly renders him into tears.  He does not take kindly to those who misuse his inventions.

On the subject of his inventions, Mephiston has a paradoxical relationship with his ability to devise weapons of utter destruction.  On the one hand, the enthusiasm in which he applies himself to inventing the latest weapon belies an almost unwholesome fixation on creative deaths.  However, Mephiston believes in the sanctity of life, and that people who enjoy violence are perverted, a most damning insult from him (sexual practices that deviate from the norm are almost never considered perverted, they're more like eccentric hobbies).  As such, Mephiston finds it rather embarrassing how, in the middle of conversation, he will sometimes have managed to fashion a tool of death without having been aware of doing so.  He lives in shame of those moments when he wakes up in the middle in the night, his hands ink-stained, and a sketch of another weapon lying on his bed.  Of course, since he designed it, Mephiston feels compelled to make it, if only to make sure that indeed, it is fact both terrible and possible.

Background Information:  Mephiston grew up as the scion of House Bahl, a rich and prestigious merchant family.  Brought up as a Satanist, the affable nature of the Bahl family meant that they lacked piety in that regard.  Indeed, were it not for their tendency to work on Sundays and their alternate way of saying Grace at the dinner table, they would have been model Christians.  His parents were disappointed when Mephiston announced his conversion to Atheism, finding Satanism to be a rather silly affair, but his parents reasoned that Atheism was a denial of God, so it was alright.

In time, his scientific brilliance began to shine, even as his despair at the world's tendency to engage in meaningless conflict blossomed as well.  His parents had hoped to have him inherit their businesses, but brilliance could not be denied and instead sent him to the finest colleges.  Devoting himself to his studies, Mephiston mastered the sciences, or at least the aspects pertaining to causing destruction and death.  Disheartened at finding no future for himself that wouldn't violate his beliefs, a dabble in psychology revealed to him the concept of reverse-psychology.  What if, he reasoned, he was able to devise a weapon so horrific that no one would ever want to use it, and thus resort to reasoned discussion instead.  Inspired, Mephiston attempted to solve the problem of knife fights by creating his first invention: a knife that, when inserted into a person tip first, would allow for the blade to be detached from the hilt, whereupon the blade would promptly explode after a second, violently killing the unfortunate target.  He reasoned that someone dying from having their torso erupt in a explosion of organs and blood would turn really hone in the reality of death, and thus end street violence.  He nicknamed them 'Spicy Curries' ("They do terrible things to one's intestines") and patented the product before marketing them.

They sold incredibly well and made him a fortune.  Mephiston was rather upset.

In the end, Mephiston came to the conclusion that he just wasn't thinking large enough, and that rather than operating on the personal level, he needed to aim for mass horrific destruction.  Only then, as a collective whole, would people realize that violence was a waste and truly begin to appreciate life.  A series of unfortunate inventions, which sold rather well, led to Mephiston attracting just the wrong sort of attention and caused him to flee from his home city.  His parents, who were responsible for the business side of his inventions, were quite proud of him and were sad to see him go.

Whats their to know really except gasoline engines are replaced by steam engines.  As are most large appliances.  All gadgets are steam engines and gears.  Our bomb builder was looking for an apprentice.  Perhaps your character could fit in that way.  I mean I'm not the GM or anything but it seems like it would be a good way to fit in.  Maybe he or she has Janitorial skills.  It really hasn't been spoken of but every establishment needs some form of janitorial service.  Idk... just saying there could be any number of ways for you to fit in without actually knowing that much about steampunk itself.

Just to add on: Alsheriam, if you need help envisioning our world, think of it like an alternate 19th century, where steam engines remained popular instead of giving way to electricity or gasoline, like Nim says. It won't take long to get used to the steampunk world. In case you want to find out more, Wiki's your friend. :D

Character Role in game: Former 'reformed outlaw' masquerading as Merchant of Musical Instruments and Purveyor of Patent Medicines
Sexual Orientation: Straight, Dominant
Interested Fetish or Kinks: "Assisted Double Penetration". Alwin has a particular fondness for using his very own 'Resonant Tuning Rods' that just keep on humming so deliciously. Who can blame him, when the ladies just can't get enough of it?

Character Personality: While most music merchants tend to be genial, gentle, educated and kindly folk, this Alwin is the unlikeliness of them all! If not for his demonstrable ability to carve and put his wares together before his customers' very eyes, and perhaps belt out a popular number or two, nobody would have believed him. At all. Alwin is probably one of the most uncouth, hard-boozing and womanizing music merchant there ever was. Some even accuse him of behaving like one of those outlaws who roam the desert and wastelands, thieving and boozing as hard as he was, which generates the most heinously adamant of protests from him and immediately resorts to belting out even more popular songs to get the room dancing so that they'd forget all about that silly outlaw business.

Roguish in appearance, uncouth in mannerisms and perhaps a little to free with the ladies under most circumstances, Alwin does have a good heart. The notion of sticking a knife into someone's hand against the table so that he could beat the snot out of them while they can't escape probably is something he's well used to, and the most observant of souls can tell that he's likely to have done it before, and summons a lot of restraint to school himself before he actually does it. While he may not hesitate to harm others as long as it's for his own benefit, he does have a certain personal 'code' of honor which can be truly undecipherable, and his explanations for some of his actions sometimes can be just as indecipherable.

Background Information: Alwin Anguish was an outlaw! No doubt about it, for the whole of the past half decade, his mug was one of the best known anywhere. For a time, the reward kitty was large enough for any claimant to retire for the rest of his or her life with a greater decadence than even Chang himself! He is quite likely to grin when someone remarks that he looks a lot like that awful outlaw, and thank them for telling him just how bloody handsome he is, but telling him that he behaves like an outlaw is draw a violently angry reaction from him.

It wasn't all too long ago when he had a change of heart, felt that he was getting too damn old with the comic book outlawing and decided to make a better man of himself. He'd always liked it when he used that peculiar talent of his to put flutes and such together as gifts for homeless little boys to play as troupes at the local bars and establishments to earn themselves a little money from the innkeeper, and that became his new career path! Through several years of practice and the use of fancy materials he managed to "procure", one of his newer creations, the Golden Harp caught the attention of Roxanne, and he was personally invited to the Dome to deliver the product and perhaps, stay around a little to see if he could capture any more customers!

Character Personality: Could be described as Ordered Chaos. Partial conversations are an everyday occurrence, and so is the prospect of forgetting names. The things he never seems to forget are the names of the various creations he has come across. He even, strangely, can remember project numbers as if they came naturally to him.

Background Information: Winthorpe was a descendent of Randall Harrington, the founder of Harrington Industries, which has made their impact on the world primarily as a first-class steam engine manufacturer. Winthorpe gave up a majority of his holdings in the company to his younger brother, Harry, since he had no interest in running the company and felt his brother more than up to the task. The crazy infighting that occurs in many families with wealth attached to them was unheard of in his house, though competition for the best of anything was often hard, yet surprisingly good-natured.

He grew up with three brothers and two sisters, and each had a flair for something dangerous. Winthorpe grew up loving steam engines and how they worked, but was more fascinated with improving the human body through the technology Harrington had already established. Body frames that could help their user lift many times their weight. Using steam compression to enable a person to jump to heights unknown to the average man…a few of the ideas he has sketched and put to work. His focus on such a task was his main reason for giving up his right to run Harrington Industries. That and his…hobby.

Heads of industry were kept in the limelight far too often for his liking, and he so often loved to taste the womanly wares available to him. He has, in his travels, come to appreciate amble bosoms and deliciously wide hips. The combination of the two traits enough to bring him running with his shaft leading the way, like a divining rod. The measuring tools and notepad wouldn’t be too far behind. After all, one must note such wondrous discoveries on paper, along with their locations for later visits!

He does seem to hold a secret but do to his kind Jovial out going nature it seems to be quickly dismissed about the secrets he holds. Though the rumors fly around about where his money comes from he is never upset about it and enjoys hearing the theories and having good laughs over drinks.

As a child he has been to one of the finest finishing school in the world the Peruvian Institute. Though a great deal seems to be shrouded in mystery it comes off more as he keeps secrets to keep himself intriguing as he has been known to love attention a Little bit to much sometimes.

Then their is Josette Bellamy his lovely and beautiful personal assistant who is the perfect picture of a demure and well mannered young lady of twenty years of age. she has been with him since he left the France  behind him and started his travels.

Even developing a keen interest in the art. Something, which prompted her to join the Royal Air Force. She had her chance of serving to the best of her abilities when she captained her own ship during a revolt of the traditionalists and when they tried to take over the empire. She did bravely in the war, often beating the odds with meagre resources and when being outnumbered due to her strategic genius. Although it didn't come cheaply as during one ground ambus, she was shot in the eye with an arrow, rendering one of her eyes completely useless. At the age of 27, Chris was honorably discharged from the force. It was at the same time when her father died at the hands of some of the sky pirates whilst defending his ship. Chris inherited the family fortune and bought her own ship named Isis over the Egyptian goddess of motherhood. Since then she has been moving around constantly from one place to another with her reliable crew and trading all over the world, occasionally coming to Dome for relaxation and for exploring new goods. On ground, she prefers to use a smaller bike which she carries on inside her vessel.

Character Personality : Not your average inventor, he shuns the brooding and boorish life of his colleagues for a life of adventure. Having served a stint in US Army he is as likely to laugh something off as he is to punch someone while laughing. A bit of a wild card, he often experiments on himself using his various concoctions and gadgets and his next disaster could be his next greatest success. He's outgoing and handsome, and terribly aware of the fact. This plays well into his desire to be surrounded by the intelligent and beautiful. More over, it guides him in his rather unequivocally insane willingness to try new, if not more dangerous things. More often than not he is well dressed, impeccably groomed and full of fire and wit. Probably seated on a couch or at a card table. Truth be told, Drake cannot recall the last time be backed down from a challenge. Even though at times he has trouble recalling his name, depending on how drunken or altered his mind might be due to his latest experimentation.


Background Information : Drake Stinger spent his youth in a two bedroom apartment in Manhattan, with British immigrant parents and four sisters. His father worked on the docks for pennies on the dollar and he can still taste the bitter disappointment of several birthdays and Christmas morning. By sixteen he had taken a job along side his ailing father, breaking his back for a Robber Baron of a man and freezing half to death in the winters. After a year of what he deemed  the "Tedious Labors of Small Minds" he did the only thing he was qualified for. Enlistment. During his service he spent most of his time disassembling and re-assembling everything he could find, pouring over books and diagrams. Tinkering was fun, an applicable skill one could get painfully wealthy doing, and he desperately wanted to be so wealthy it hurt. Through his explorations of machinery he discovered an old doctor, a man whom spoke of a new science called Chemistry. This man taught him much, elements, ions, solutions, reactions both endothermic and exothermic. When the old doctor died, (bullet wound to the head, though suicide seemed unlikely and the events of the murder were never quite ironed out) Drake did what any decent apprentice would do. He took everything the man had, including a small fortune, bought himself gentlemanly attire and boarded a ship for Britain. It did not take him long to find freelance work, and to make enough to continue his experimentation.

Character Personality : Penny is normally a very quiet unassuming girl. She is happiest when sitting in a corner being ignored - as long as her three lower orifices are filled. Background Information : Penny is the daughter of a wealthy merchant family, who were travelling home to England from India when the ship they were travelling in was hit by a freak storm and sank. She was rescued by Cassidy, after who for some reason took a liking to the girl and took her under her wing. Penny is little more than a slave though. Background Information: Bella was raised in a middle-lower class environment, with her father working as an inventor and tinker for a small company. Bella was primarily raised by her mother, who was a former harlot, since her father spent days on end in the workshop hoping to create “the next big thing” to hit the market. Every day was a gamble, however, and the household never had much money.

Too poor and too free to go to school, Bella spent most of her time either wondering around the city looking for work or food or helping her mother take care of her younger siblings. Ever since she was young Bella was very good with people and always acted in a sweet but flirtatious way, which obviously originated from her mother’s harlot background. She always had her way with people, using her sweet attitude to woe the neighborhood boys into buying her things or convincing shopkeepers to give her a free piece of candy.

As Bella got older, she spent less time wooing her neighbors and more time working for her family. By the time she was 13, the household was almost all out of money. With her father recently out of work and 8 mouths to feed, it became apparent that everybody had to pitch in to help feed the family. Background Information : Paint is in Hector’s blood both literally and metaphorically. He can’t recall how many times he had cut himself upon the sharp edges of the glass jars that hold his paint and in his haste to mend himself he usually ends up with paint all over. Still he would never give it up as it is his love and his lover. Art was how Hector discovered sex after all and it has been the main staple in his sex life ever since wither it be a little alone time or enjoying the body of the lovely woman he recently finished painting, thought he tends to lead towards the form as he has such an abysmal record with the ladies. But then that is his reason for coming to pleasure Dome, among selling his wares and getting new subjects to paint. The mere thought of what might transpire within that wonderful place makes him just giddy and he had told Blake and Demetri all about it, several times…

Always hitting me with the questions. I like the aspect of the new arrival as it allows me to establish the character but I will start him out in the employee area so as not to annoy Tom anymore than he already is. I don't think Hector would be the cherry to top his sundae so to speak. We can go with him being semi started, having arrive perhaps a day or two earlier but has been mostly inside his suite, setting it to his desires. I shall post pictures of his art in his first post as he will be displaying them. Where would you like them displayed as I fear I have not had a chance to read through every area yet. I know, I am a slacker. :P

Interested Fetish or Kinks : She has been abused when younger but she does not hold it against anyone but who did it to her. She has recently become interested in the mechanical workings of some of the robots/androids and how they have been designed to be just like humans, including below…she has never taken the step to have sex with one but it seriously intrigues her. Loves sex in general though.

Description :

Character Personality : Extremely kind hearted and very giving, hence her submissiveness. she is very curious about things she has never seen before which is a lot due to her past. She gets easily attached as she has not had a chance to keep a lot of friends. Here lately, people that have crossed her or wronged her, have ended up in very medically assisted situations through no action of her own.

Background Information : Having been moved from place to place as a servant since she was 8 (sold into service of local royalty by her drunken father), so she has only known serving others. The relationship she formed with the most recent family earned herself her freedom back, along with enough money to get her traveling to a new life somewhere. She only remembers her fathers name being Rahall, and nothing more about her family. She has learned and seen only that which has been presented to her. She has no education but can read thanks to the kindness of her most recent owners as they were much older. She was never abused by any of the families in the more recent years, but has found herself time and time again, getting involved with other servants and getting attached only to have her heart broken when they were traded or killed by her masters.
The last family was a set of old and near dying royalty that reminded her that there are loving people out there and that everyone, no matter who they are, should be given at least one chance. She is overly intrigued by trinkets and machines hence her recent intrests in androids and robots. She has never acted on this thought but the it is always in her brain when she sees one.
She is a very giving lover who is only satisfied when the other(s) is satisfied.
She also has a interest in travel but knows that she is a long way from being able to do that given her current income...

Character Personality: Precise and Meticulous. Can sometime seem O.C.D. on certain things like his living quarters or workspace. Shy but is headstrong, willing to give it his all on anything he needs to do.

Background Information: Mist grew up with his widowed mother. His father dieing of illness around his first year, leaving him and his mother with his name and status. They were high-born. and had ties with many powerful families, but due to his fathers death, his life was filled with men trying to control or take his mothers hand in marriage. She refused and taught Mist her views and ways. Making him determined and thoughtful of every situation and those in it. As he grew up he had an interest in odd contraptions and gadgets. He loved looking at how they worked, and was always trying to look at them to find what moved what, or how this turned that.  Around 16 he was given a chance to use his curiosity and small talent then when his mother gave him permission to go out on his own and find a teacher.  He prepared a piece of his own gadgetry to help prove to those that he looked for, that he had talent of some sorta. After a year he finished his working prototype of an arm mask combination. The mask filtered the air, making it useful for gas filled rooms and such, while also it possible to breath under water with a converter of sorts. It was powered by the movements of the arms, with in turn were a slight Armour just for look.  It wasn't perfect but he hoped it would be enough to sway those.  At 17 he found a man that seemed to take interest, laughing though at his mask. Though he said he would take him on the ship he navigates, and maybe I would become something worth mentioning. Since then he has been studying and working hard while also waiting on the Chief Navigator almost hand and foot. Hoping to see his mind at work, though also almost always quiet to help his observations. He has being doing this now for a little over 2 years and still has yet to show any displeasure in his new line of work. He's been told now though that they are going on a sort of vacation. To him though he feels he'll be collecting a drunk master from some odd place before to long there. Better get ready.....

He has little experience with sexual games, and is still learning what he likes.  He has a bit of a kink for contrasts - an elegantly coifed and beautifully jeweled woman in a well-used boiler suit, a brutish thug dressed in a fine suit.

Character Personality :
Abejundo exists somewhere between constant joy and worried timidity.  He is brimming over with enthusiasm, but is also acutely aware that his humble upbringing has left him naive and lacking in some of the finer social graces.  He rarely gets angry, and when he does, his usual response is to simply withdraw.  His main passion in life is his job; he has yet to find anything half as satisfying as good, useful work.

Background Information:
Abejundo is the bastard offspring of a brief liaison between a Crescencia Botella de la Bosqu, a Spanish dancer of mysterious background,  and Gregory Webb, a British tourist.  He spent his early childhood under the sole care of his mother, and remembers it as being golden and perfect.  This came to an end when his father returned to marry his mother and take her home to England.  Crescencia found that her new husband was not so carefree and laughing at home as on his travels, and she soon escaped, leaving behind her seven year old son.

The loss of his wife crippled Gregory Webb, and he fell into a deep depression.  The family business faltered and he had to take on a partner - Smithson Webb, his own brother, a grim and humorless man.  Gregory  threw himself into his work, and found a quiet, meticulous happiness in his increasingly fantastic clockwork creations.  Abejundo grew up in the shop, learning the trade from his father and the business side of things from Smithson, who took the young man as a secretary as soon as he was old enough to stay quiet, write and cipher.  The grind of having to be around Smithson was more than made up by the pleasures of his own budding talent.

Gregory never really recovered from Crescencia's abandonment.  When Abejundo was twenty, he finally faded away, a tired, broken man.  Abejundo inherited his share in the business - and Smithson, who had only grown more unpleasant with age.  A series of suspiciously bad decisions left the business hemorrhaging money, and reduced Abejundo's life to a rote cycle of clock making and too little sleep.

When Smithson's ticker failed two years later, well, it had been coming a long time.  The old man was always so angry, and that will have an effect on a person - even a person with a Genuine Clearwater Artificial Clockwork Heart (Guaranteed for Fifty Years, Barring Direct Lightning Strike or Other Act of God).  The entire business fell to Abejundo, as he was the last descendant of the family. 

Abejundo invested his meager savings in the business, selling off back stock and diversifying from making only clocks to also providing parts and labor for inventors.  His meticulous approach, quick work and extreme accuracy have all made him a leader in the field.  In two short years, he has gone from teetering on the edge of poverty to being comfortable enough to rent a narrow bit of space in the Pleasure Dome.  Currently, his main focus in life is to build his business and save money.
