As soon as he fall asleep, the feeling that he was drifting fell over him. He struggled in vain against the current, but it was too strong. Suddenly, he found himself standing alone on a beach, looking out over the dark waters of the ocean. The air was mild, warm enough not to cause chills however. He smiled in relief, as a feeling of serenity passed over him. He heard a soft sing-song voice call out a name he don't recognize, but still he knew it was speaking to him. He turns slowly, having to pull his gaze away from the hypnotic tides, and gasps as he is by a beautiful, pale face, framed in silky back hair, with two small fangs shining in the moonlight. She held her hand out to him, barely an inch away from his lips. A small crimson bead rests in her palm, quivering a moment before it streaks down her hand. As he moved forward to lick the small streak, she pulls her hand away playfully, forcing him to press his body against hers as she holds her hand over his head. A sudden pain pierces the side of his neck, but he ignores it, eyes focused on the drop of blood that has fallen from her hand. The instant before he catches it on his tongue, a sharp noise interrupts them. He sits up suddenly, smacking his head on the headboard of his bed. He flails for the alarm clock and sends it crashing to the ground.

"....so close. A few moments...a second."

Sighing a bit, he pulls on some underwear and a pair of ripped jeans, perfectly frayed by the expert hands at Hot Topic. A plain white T-shirt underlines a silky black dress shirt. It was his standard attire. He pops the collar down and smooths it out, glancing in the mirror once before he was satisfied. A quick spray of Hollister cologne across his shirt and he was out the door, a small backpack dangling on his shoulder.

The boy, nearly a man, looked up from one of his books as an alarm clock goes off. He sighs Never enough time... their's never enough time for a good book, is there? he mumbles to no one but himself, as he rises up, and quietly turns it off. Then it's back to his book, where he quickly finished the paragraph he was on, before sliding a bookmarker into it.

Getting cleaned up, and dressed, was a fairly brief chore.  A bit of lilac oil, strategically placed, meant he would be smelling like that flower for the rest of the day. He enjoyed the smell, and quite frankly, had never bothered to pay attention to those around him.

He checks himself out in the mirror as he combs his hair. His shirt was black, with some red text printed on the front that seems to be Latin. Urite Mala Mundi, Incendite tenebras mundi
His black denim pants have random strokes and splashes of vermilion red on them, a seemingly random mess.

Breakfast was a quickly made affair. A small sausage patty was heated up, an egg was fried, and both were placed on a biscuit, which he wrapped up with a paper towel. He gathered his book bag, got on his black, Velcro shoes,   tied his hair back into a pony tail.  The book bag goes over his right shoulder as he grabs the breakfast sandwich with the left hand.

The locks of the door (two deadbolts and a standard lock...paranoid much?)  are undone, and he steps out.  Juggling the sandwich and his keys, he would pull out his sunglasses from his pocket, clean them with his shirt, and then slide them on. Then the door is locked, and he begins the long trek towards the tedious work place known as... high school!

Oh how she loved teasing the little human boy. He was so willing to allow her into his dreams to manipulate them as she pleased. Licking her lips, the young woman moved from the dark shadows that had enveloped the corner of his home. He was off to school and she figured she should follow. After all, it had been a long time since she had followed her prey during the day. Her short dark hair was straight and rather boring today. The night had been a rather dull one so she figured she might as well just relax and let her usual appearance take over. Dark eyes had dark circles underneath them, something that might worry most others.

Claudia sighed softly as the boy she was following arrived at his high school. Her lips turned down in a pout as she looked the place over. It seemed drab and uninteresting which didn't appeal to the vampire. Even so, she decided to move ahead of the boy and act like she was in a hurry. Her outfit was a black corset and jeans with black boots, nothing special or out of the ordinary. Reaching the entrance to the school, she hesitated for a moment before entering and making her way to the office. She had attended a high school some years back and knew all the procedure. Of course, she was going to have to lie and say her transfer papers got lost and that they school she attended previously would be sending them once more. Once in the office, her lie went over well and Claudia was signed up for all the classes her prey was in.
OUT OF TOWN UNTIL NEXT FRIDAY!

Keriann grunted as a small girl darted past him. He smiled a bit at her rush before she vanished into the crowd. She didn't look familiar, but the school reviewed hundreds of transfers every year. He turned around and walked backwards up the steps, his eyes scanning for one particular head of hair among the sea of bobbing heads. The trademark sunglasses pointed him out, seeing as they were not allowed in the building. He raised his hand and gave Randolph a small wave. The kid never seemed to like him much, but he didn't seem to like anything much, save for books.

As usual Keriann's Gothic appearance paved a small road for him in the crowd of preps. He moved swiftly through the mass of people, as most moved out of his way. He turned swiftly into a room, moved to his usual seat in the back of the class, and kicked his feet up on the desk next to him. The teacher eyed him warily before consulting her notes. He had little doubt as to what it said. "Just ignore the back left corner and focus on the rest of the class." Keriann mocked softly, resting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes to wait for the bell to ring.

"...Yo!" He'd throw a sincere salute  towards Keriann, when the wave was noticed. Randolph could be friendly when he wanted to be. Randolph really does love his books, though. They were far more intellectually engaging than most people at their school could be. Honestly, he couldn't stand most kids in the damned school. Superficial preps, and idiot jocks were the majority. And the geeks of the school were more of the video games and anime type, and less of the reading books type. But the loneliness and isolation didn't bother him much, as he was quite the introvert.

As he headed into the school, he would reluctantly take the sun glasses off, and slide them into his pocket.  It's as he's putting them away that he first caught sight of the new girl. He Hmm'd quietly, and looked at her for a few seconds more than he'd usually pay attention to anyone, trying to place her. He knew she wasn't in any of his classes. She might be a transfer student. Then again, she could very well have been attending the school for years, and he just had never noticed.

He sighed wearily as he settled into his seat in his first class, idly playing with his hair, making sure it was just right. The only thing that got him through the mornings, really, was that he knew, come lunch time, he could sneak off to the library and read. Maybe Dunsani today... or Lord Byron. That was always the question. who to read? And what work to read?

Kathira groaned as she kicked her car repeatedly before dragging her purse out of it and marching down the street to her school leaving the smoking heap unlocked and half on the sidewalk half in  the ditch. She loved her purple baby but she wished someone would just steal the thing already.

She huffed standing at the enterance of the school and adjusted her pettie coat under her knee length satin and lacy green monster of a tea dress and pulled up her black socks fitted with little bows to each side.  Apposed to modern clothing such as jeans and t-shirts that made her look like a great beast of a woman Ira preferred to wear what most considered freak clothing and spent most of her time being called a doll. She however didn't mind doll, dolls were cute and female and pretty.

Though the walk from her house to the school was not far she was also lazy among other things so driving was always at the top of her choice list however her hand me down Taurus didn't make it to many places with out over heating now a days. So as she sat in homeroom now she quickly jotted down repairs and estimates on cost and how much money she needed to make how long it could take her and so forth in the end she would just crumple the paper, she had other things she wanted to by she'd just poor some water in it or something.

Professor Popkins stood in his cabinet, observing the straight geometrically regular forms of the school yard outside his window. He noticed a girl kicking her car furiously, just some twenty yards away, which made his brows rise a little more higher in incredulity, as such emotions made little sense to him. Meticulously, he noticed, that the student was late for her class.
He was thinking, should he take a leave for today, claiming ill, or ignore the guzzling feeling he had in his head, which suddenly visited him and were going to stay.
The break would soon end, he realized. Sighing and fixing his glasses, he went back to his class.
