Position;  Base Commander.  (Unofficial head of the Roanoke Colony as well.)
Equipment;  She's a military officer, and thus she has access to the armory as long as she has her ID stuff in order.  Beyond that she keeps a headset built into her armored suit as well as a number of combat oriented sensors for backtracing bullet trajectories, when wearing a helmet allows her to see in UV and infrared, as well as a kinetic barrier of sorts.  Not as powerful as a more advanced form of defense, but it does the job for most situations against human opponents.  For aliens, it takes a bit more finesse than brute strength.  That's what they make sniper rifles for.
Medical History;  Besides some emotional issues mostly resolved because of a missing twin, Samantha is in perfect health both physically and mentally.  She has a phobia of being spaced however because of the accident out amongst the stars that took her twin brother.
Personality;  Patient, methodical, observant, deadly in a fight, Samantha is a potent adversary both in and out of a diplomatic meeting.  She always has a backup plan, always a way out if it's needed, but she never goes into a fight or a meeting without knowing everything she can about those she's talking with or about to lay out flat.  She hadn't made it this far by being impetuous and she isn't about to start now, even if coming all the way out to the middle of nowhere on what's turning to be a wild goose chase seems to be to the contrary.
Background information;  Shortly before she enlisted when she was 18, she and her twin were out in space, around the infamous space like Bermuda Triangle.  Some kind of electrical disturbance occurred while she was out there and their ship was blasted to pieces.  She survived thanks to the timely arrival of a passing civilian vessel, but not before she nearly died from being exposed to hard vacuum, her EVA suit having been punctured by a floating piece of shrapnel she couldn't avoid fast enough.  They searched for her brother but they didn't even find a stitch of clothing, let alone him despite the fact their ship was still in the same sector of space where it had been blown apart.  She knew he had been right behind her before the ship had blown apart yet there was no trace of him.  It was as if he had disappeared into thin air, but that was impossible even in the day and age they lived in.  Ever since she has a fear of being spaced.

Afterward she became determined to figure out what happened but nothing came of it until several years later.  She received a coded transmission, no discernible source or names, only a set of coordinates to an unexplored section of space.  By then she had been given the right to lead a new colony and set up shop.  No one knew of her secret communication with the unknown caller, but any possible lead was better than none.  She took a very real chance and hopes that it will pay out eventually.  Until then, she'll do all her can to make things as stable as possible for everyone that's under her command.

Alien Information;

(Yes, I know it's Asari.  It was the only picture of an alien I could find that I actually liked.)

Name;  Taluara T'Shana

Gender;  Female.  (Technically mono-gender)

Age;  127  (Early twenties in human standards.)

Appearance;  Standing at 5 foot 6 inches, Taluara is the typical Asari in appearance.  Pale blue skin, rigid scalp fringes that curl to a tip behind her head, soft full pink lips, glacial blue eyes, and a full feminine like figure complete the alien woman.  Despite her feminine like appearance and similar reproductive organs that match a human woman's nearly perfectly, Taluara will be the first to tell you that she is not truly female, nor is she truly male.

Species;  Asari

Home Planet;  Kodora is a cultural and technological marvel to the rest of the galaxy.  It's rich resources and even more richly decorated cities are just two of the reasons people travel to the planet, unaware that they have strict guidelines for visitors that manage to make it past their security measures.  Even so, for those that do make it to the planet's surface always go back home awestruck given the beautiful nature of the world the Asari have made for themselves over the years, free of crime, strife, even famine.  Kodora has and most likely always will be the cultural heart of the galaxy at large.  Taluara T'Shana called this place home until she turned 21, when she was shipped out to military training as is required of most young Asari once they are old enough.  She has not returned since.

Physical Traits;  Possessed of strong psychic abilities which only grow stronger the older they become, Asari are few in number compared to other species, yet they make up for their lack in numbers by being able to mate with virtually any species via an unique form of reproduction called melding, where the Asari consciously joins her own and her patner's nervous systems to become essentially one unified being.  This allows the two joined to share memories, thoughts, feelings, and allows the Asari to look through her partner's genetic heritage so that she can pass on desirable traits to her offspring which will always be 100% Asari when born.  Because of their robust cellular regeneration, Asari do not heal faster than a human, but they live far longer, allowing them to live slightly past 1000 years.  Despite rumors to the contrary, Asari are mono-gendered despite their female like appearance that most other species see for themselves.  Despite their ability to reproduce with any other species, Asari are not usually a sexually oriented race.

Technology Notes;  Due to the atmospheric exposure of an element called Eezo on their home planet, Asari and many of the creatures that live on Kodora have adapted some level of resistance and ability to manipulate objects with their minds, potent empathy, and a few other talents as well.  This has helped them to understand other species rapidly beyond anything the rest of the galaxy has seen before, easily integrating themselves as the peace keepers of the galactic community.  Despite their low numbers compared to the rest, few would risk a war with the Asari because of their advances in clean energy use in their devastating starships that mostly range in the Frigate class, but the three dozen Dreadnaughts they keep are also a prime deterrent against an enemy invasion.  Having a few in their ranks that can see the future also helps despite the fact a single choice can change the course of the future for better or worse, so they are extremely careful in their use of their precogs.  Beyond that, they have made most of the gene therapy treatments that the rest of the galaxy now use and enjoy to cure otherwise incurable diseases and improve upon themselves within the strict regulations of galactic law.

Society Notes;  Peace keepers, ambassadors, talented psychic and empathetic people, the Asari are and most likely will always be known as one of the most understanding of species in existence.  Treated with a respect earned through their diplomatic tendencies first, and their brutal yet efficient taste for war second, the Asari will always try to come to a peaceful solution first and only fall to bloodshed as a last resort.  As a whole, the blue skinned female like species are culturally driven and diverse, polytheistic in their religious beliefs, and despite rather slanderous rumors to the contrary, they are not a promiscuous species despite their ability to mate with anyone regardless of gender or race.

Position;  psychologist/psychiatrist, former soldier.  (Not by choice.)

Equipment;  Besides keeping a standard issue Asari crafted pistol on her hip that uses a miniature arc reactor to power its shots, Taluara carries with her on a regular day a Personal Data Assistant that helps her to organize and keep track of the colony's staff records and patient medical files for everyone that comes to see her personally, a scanner that most do not realize contains a mobile polygraph within its standard function capabilities, and her suit she normally wears has a personal shield generator hidden in her belt for emergencies only.

Medical History;  Taulara is in perfect physical health but due to the traumatic nature of her time in the Asari commandos, she does have mild PTSD which she deals with on her own without the use of medication.  Simple meditation on a regular basis deals with the worst of her mental issues, but it's mostly because she didn't have a choice in the matter that really bothers her.  Her mother forced her to enlist, using something from her hidden past that few know about to make her obey.  It was a form of blackmail, and because of this Taulara has not returned home and refuses to talk to her mother again, causing deep resentment and anger issues from time to time if she's having a particularly bad day.  This can lead to violent and often dangerous episodes that can cause serious injury for anyone nearby if she goes off.

Personality;  On a typical day, Taulara is the pinnacle of Asari nature.  She is calm, gentle, compassionate, curious, and always willing to listen to those that come to her for aid with the stress of living in deep space or in their case, in a world trapped in a domed city until the terraformers finish their job.  Unless someone presses the right buttons, very little can anger the psychologist, and while she does not suffer fools, neither does she seek violence.  Violence however, often finds her since due to some past issues with her mother that had wanted her to join the military as soon as she was old enough, the then young and foolish Taulara made a very bad decision which ended in the death of another.  Due to her mother's influence it all but disappeared, but it came at a price.  Taulara had to enlist and she did, but she hated every second of it.  She was a healer, not a soldier, and everyday was a test just to get out of bed.  It didn't help any that she felt guilt ridden about the accident that caused the death to begin with.  Still, she somehow made it through her four required years of service, promptly disappeared the first chance she got, and has not talked to her mother since.  Her mother hasn't made any attempt to follow or find her but due to some of the strenuous missions she had been sent on before, she does suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that manifests itself in violent and explosive bouts of psychic power but thankfully regular meditation helps to regulate it for the most part.

Background information;  "Consider this current life I lead as an act of penance for past mistakes, and you will come close to that which I guard so closely to my heart."  When pressed for an answer from the colony commander, that was Taulara's response which was enough for the woman in charge when she first signed on three years ago.  No matter how often she was pressed during that first year, Taulara never gave up the whole story, and even now she has kept her secret from everyone that tries to figure it out.  She grew up fast when she accidentally killed another Asari when she was barely into her 20th year during a drunken state at a party she had attended at the time.  Like most Asari young, she was no different in her curiosity for all things, legal or otherwise and it was a day of celebration, a religious day for an old victory in their early struggles to make a name for themselves with the rest of the galaxy.  The details are still a blur despite repeated attempts at figuring out what happened through meditation and other means, but what she knows for certain is that she and the one she killed got into a heated argument that came to physical blows first....and then Taulara reportedly 'threw' the other Asari out of the bedroom window with her mind.  It was rumored it was because the Asari in question had been taking some kind of illicit substance that had driven her mating drive through the roof and Taulara, despite being intoxicated in her own way, had refused her advances and things had escalated from there.  Regardless, it had ended in murder which had quickly been brushed under the rug due to the victim's low status in their society compared to her own.

Having 'enlisted', Taulara's four years in the service couldn't have ended sooner for her as she quickly disappeared, living quietly for a time in a distant human colony far from Kodora while earning her degree in psychology while also learning meditation to deal with her own personal demons.  Military life had not sat well with her at all and it had left its own marks on her psyche which she does her best to deal with to this day.  Despite all this, Taulara is easy to get along with and she always has an inviting presence, eliciting much in the way of cooperation given her people's reputation as being one of the more receptive to the humans that have recently become a part of the universe.  Despite their issues, Taulara herself holds no ill will towards them, and neither do most of her people.  There are of course holdouts but for now she just does her best to make the galaxy a better place one patient at a time.

Roanoke was one of the first colonies set up here in America.  Everyone there disappeared and no one has ever figured out why.  The only thing besides the fact that every house was empty was a single word carved into a tree.  Croatoan.  This is a real event that truly happened.  It's pretty creepy when you think about it lol.  Anyway, almost done with the human commander, then I'll get the OOC and stuff going.

Home Planet;  The home planet of this race is rather.. well odd. No one outide of the race itself knows where it is and many say it doesn't exist. However their home planet they will refer to as Heavana (Hey-Vanah)
Physical Traits;  Wings are the main sign of your typical Rysoarian, as well as a pair on their back, they also have a pair attached to their ears.
Technology Notes;  Technology doesn't reign supreme with the race
Society Notes;  Mostly dominated Wing color, the ruling family of the Rysoarians are generally a blue winged couple. Rysoarian Racial powers and abilities:
Blue wings: Minor healing, Telepathy, Extra-Spatial Awareness (If a Temporal Anomaly changes the timeline, she might be somewhat effected at first but gradually her original memories will return and she'll be one of the few who knows something has changed), Sense presence (Able to sense the presence of powerful beings others may not notice), Glamour (The ability to appear as something completely different)
Being the rarest of all Rysoarian, the Blue winged ones are quite coveted by the races that know of their existence. In few instances wars have been started over such a prize as this. A universe wide rumor spreads abut the sparse ports, usually along the lines of: "If one owns a blue Rysoarian, one shall have fame, fortune, and glory at their fingertips." Certainly never proven but often times this means enslavement for the Soft spoken blue wings.

Black Wings: Psi-Poison (Touch), Pyro Illusion Psi-Pain (touch).
Those with Black wings act more like succubi, often taking the name and augmenting their wings to look more like demon wings by manner of illusion. Able to inflict pain and poison with a touch and create the illusion of fire, these blacks are quite feared.

White wings: (Still in development) Stronger Telepathy than blue wings, Psi-shock (Touch).
Zealots by nature, these wings are feared because they will not hesitate to burn anything they feel impure and unclean, they are rare simply because they get themselves killed more often than not with their "holier than thou" attitudes.

Medical History;  Luvbi has certainly endured physical torments, Brands can be found every now and again on her flesh, most are old white scars and generally kept covered by a low glamour that is usually constant and done involuntarily
Personality; Luvbi is a shy Rysorian, she beleives to be the last of her kind and is thus fearful of that, but also because she has learned first hand of how cruel the universe can be to her kind. (Gives one a complex doesn't it..) PTSD is the simple term for it, but nothing shows on her record since she refuses to see a doctor.
Background information; Luvbi was born to two Blue winged Rysorians, standard birthing in a rather unstandard location. Her parents raised her until she was old enough to do glamour and understand why she had to keep her wings hidden away from anyone else and her parents left her on a rather random planet. She grew up and sure enough on her 18th birthday, during her first ever Sexual act, her glamour dropped, revealing her for what she was. When her first lover saw this he passed it off as nothing and even complimented her on the lovely wings but sold her out to slave trading merchants who were looking for some nice stock. She suffered greatly beneath the hands of several masters, escaping each time by some nice person who ended up getting killed for his or her trouble.

All of this gave her a very bad outlook on societies to be sure. Eventually she went on to become a licensed alien doctor and holds the title of scientist, specializing in plant life. Mostly because she can do this in relative solitude, though she is prone to breakdowns usually unseen. Normally she will be withdrawn and absolutely refuse to talk about her past, other times signs of it will show in the occasional flinch at a harsh word or even a simple friendly touch, other times she can be caught crying for what appears to be no reason. Luvbi so far has kept  this past behind her and hidden herself among the humans on their colonies. Now she is employed as a scientist and medic, and will show  friendly face and kind advice medical wise to any that wish it, so long as those questions do not delve to deeply into the skeletons in her closet.

The only problem I have is that you don't have any equipment, that and when I first started to look through your stuff I was wondering how she got anywhere but you answered that question just fine, although it was a bit sad lol.  Still, the only other thing I can complain about is that your personality is a little short, but beyond that you are quite good to go Karasu.  Welcome aboard.

Aye, that's the plan and the apocalypse stuff has already happened to the human race, they're just rebuilding and the colony we're on now is just a small part of the recovery process.  Losing one colony won't kill off everyone, just that single planet, and that's assuming they are successful in overrunning them to begin with.  :P
