[Van - NC] Desperate Times [Taking More MEN]

While with my current real life drama I don't think it's fair that I start a big group game that needs lots of GM attention, I do think I came up with one that can do pretty well on it's own that I dig.

Desperate Times

It really did happen like they write about in the horror books. The newest disease that threatens to wipe out humanity, all because someone at a crowded basketball court coughed at the wrong time the wrong way and things just lined up.

We figured out right away that the disease was mostly just a particularly contagious form of the flu. Most people lived, and the ones that sadly didn't live were at least not the ones that surprised us- those with weak immune systems like the elderly. The only initial surprise was that the disease seemed to hit men harder when they caught it.

But things were worse then they appeared when a simple discovery was made. World-wide the vast majority of the world's men got the disease, and while most of them survived the vast majority of the surviving men were sterilized. Most to the point where they no longer had sex drives. A desperate situation where a dangerous plummet in the world's population is all but insured, and the resulting global chaos could spell the end of our species.

In desperation, we the human race agreed to a legal practice that is morally ambiguous at best. Now if a man can prove he's fertile he can fuck any woman he desires, and there's nothing she can say about it. Just be able to physically approach her with proof that he's fertile and she doesn't have a choice- usually done so in the form of a government issued badge after he has a few tests done. Opponents say this is basically legalized rape- Proponents say that this is exactly what it is, but better legalized rape then the utter collapse of civilization and possible extinction of the human race.

Your characters are for the most part just trying to live their day-to-day lives, with the knowledge that big things are at stake- and with these new Breeding Laws in place. Post normal people characters with the exception that Male characters have to state if they are sterile and without a sex drive, just sterile, fertile, or fertile and with a badge. Hoping to see some variety here, like the makings of a married couple where the husband is sans a sex drive but a fertile-and-badged male makes him watch as he fucks his wife over and over again.

No worries, part of the reason I like this idea is that I can easily see it continuing without me if I have to miss a few days. I personally would prefer more female then male characters but we can certainly all fit in this loose idea.

Name: Daphne Rogers
Age: 24

Occupation: Nurse
Likes: Old movies, music, the arts in general
Dislikes: mean uncaring people.
Personality: Daphne has a heart of gold. She was always rescuing hurt animals as a child. She is very trusting and would never turn her back on you. 
History:  Daphne was the only daughter raised in a single parent home. Her mother tried her best to keep Daphne and her brother William afloat. Time got hard and Daphne had to go out and find work.  Daphne always wanted to take care of people because of her situation. She found a small clinic she could volunteer at and fell in love with helping people in need.  So she found nursing a perfect fit for her.

She started college and went into the nursing program at her school. On the cusp of graduation, her mother dies of a heart attack. Distraught, it only made her work harder. She would take care of any one at her hospital, the elderly, the newborns and anyone in between.One night during her shift, Daphne got a call, William was driving drunk and went off a bridge, he never could get over their mother's death. Alone in the work, Daphne delved into her work.

When the infection hit, they were overwhelmed with patients. Although she does not take part in the testing of the men, often if she is on shift, she is the first they try to have sex with. She can't refuse, but has now been assigned a limit by the hospital for her safety. she carries a card with checks on it indicating how many men have taken her that day. Once the card is filled, she is able to refuse for the rest of the day.

Personality: Lexi is a warm, friendly woman who enjoys being with company.  She is fun loving and outgoing.  At work she is a fair cop, but a tough one.  People don't mess with her, she knows her job, but she also loves a good life.  She is very wary of men.  She does'nt like the new laws, she thinks they could be better, but it is her duty to uphold them. 
History: Lexi, born Alexa Marie James was the only daughter to a couple who had tried to have children for many years.  Lexi was the light of their lifes and she went without nothing.  Her parents were late forties when she was born and they were easily exhausted by the lively toddler as she grew.  When the illness hit, they died.  Leaving her alone, but quite well off.  She had the house and a nice nest egg.  But she missed her folks terribly. 

She worked hard at school, but she always wanted to be a policewoman.  She joined the force at 19, and was 20 when she worked her first patrol.  A hard worker, Lexi was a very reliable woman.  She has never had any real relationships, preferring to focus on her career.  Now with the latest laws she knows she is at risk of becoming a target for rape.  She still sees it as rape, even if there is a new name to it.  A badge just makes it worse.  Women have ne real rights anymore, its all about reproducing.  She understands that, but she also knows some of the new breed of rapists seem to enjoy the fear and horror they cause with the act.  She felt the new laws were not needed, and made women seem under valued, but she couldn't really oppose them. She has been called to victims of these 'legalised rapes' and theres nothing she can do.  Infact she has arrested woman for refusing, and that really makes her feel bad.  She doesn't like the current climate, but what else can she do.  She has never been a victim of the new laws, but she knows its only a matter of time.

Personality:Nicolette is one of the sweetest women around, but she is also one of the hardest to take control of. She is quite the dominate woman, but she also loves the old fashioned candle light dinner and rose petaled romantic stuff of the old days.
History:

Growing up Nicky was a sweet girl with a tomboy attitude to a degree. She was known as the town's slut though as well for many thought with how man men she hung around and even to a degree groped in public that she gave it up nice and easy which actually she didn't lose her virginity until her senior prom, but no one truly needs to know this do they? *wink wink* With the homies she had though it helped her get into what she does now which is mechanics. She loves messing with cars anytime she can tinker with them she'll do that.

Now as she has gotten older she has gotten to be known as a tough as nails worker and yet one of the most romantic women when it comes to a relationship for she loved to please the men she was with. Now though ever since the epidemic she has had to become more hardcore and cold towards men for some now wear a badge giving them full reign to fuck all and any women they choose which makes her sick... She does everything she can to avoid them and has even had herself taken to jail for not allowing this "legal rape" to happen to her on several occasions for she is not about to let some petty piss ridden punk or slob fuck her whenever he pleases oh hell no! Though she hates being alone most nights she now delves into it for at least she doesn't have to deal with some disgusting dude trying to knock her up. Hell though she is delving in the next time some dude decides to try that on her so she can kick his ass and happily sit in jail for a little while... it would so make her day...

Name: Benjamin Foster

Occupation: Currently Unemployed

Male Status: Ben is Fertile, but at the moment is unaware of this. He knows that he still has a sex drive and as such has gotten tested, but has not received the results. He has filled out the paperwork to receive a badge automatically if he tests fertile.

Likes: Mathematics, Storms, Music, Sex, Pornography

Dislikes: Debt, Religion, Irrational People, Assholes

Personality: Admittedly horny, Ben was a bit of a womanizer before the infection hit- and was probably the most surprised of all when he was still horny after he got better. By no means a complete pervert he does have a degree in Mathematics and graduated just before the plague. Currently is in a bit of a depressed funk as he lost his family  in the plague and has ended up in a substantial amount of debt.

History: It's amazing how much of your life can change so fast. Not even a month ago he was job hunting with his new Math degree when the infection made it's way too him. His older parents and HIV+ older brother all taken by the disease, he went from the baby of the family to the only one left. To make things worse, between his student loans, the funerals, and the mortgage his parents have on the house he's about $80,000 in debt and about to lose the house he grew up in.

The only bright spot is that a couple friends have moved in with him as a short term solution to at least make the creditors think twice about taking the house quite yet. One of them noticed that Ben still looked at porn, and as a joke Ben got their respective porn stashes along with the first rent. Noting the statistical improbability, Ben has gotten himself tested to see just how against the odds he's been. He agrees with the assessment that the new Breeding Laws are legalized rape, but has run the numbers and agrees that there are no better alternatives. If he gets a badge he intends to use it for the greater good of mankind, hopefully figure out a way to use it that also makes him some money.

Personality: Once the life of the party, Damien has slowly become somewhat cold and even aggressive at times. He believes that the terrible disease that struck the earth is a sign of the end of the world and he fears this like nothing else. Now he lives like there is no tomorrow, like his actions wont have consequences. He can be rather reckless at times and he’s been in trouble with the law on a number of occasions.

History: Damien was a pretty regular guy from a family of eight before the disease hit. He got it like everyone else, but hit him particularly badly. For some reason his body reacted particularly poorly to the strain of super flu and it almost killed him. After two moths in hospital he emerged a different man. His near death experience had changed his outlook on life.
He quit his job as a security guard at a large legal firm, stopped volunteering at the local homeless shelter, broke off his engagement with his girlfriend of 3 years, moved to a different city and lost contact with his family.
It was at about this time he received a summons to be tested for fertility. The results came back positive. He wore his badge with pride and he quickly found that many women would practically throw themselves at his feet wanting to sleep with him. He knew this was due to the infection destroying most men’s sex-drive. It meant a small number of sexually active men were now left in the world. Damien’s sex life had never been better!

It never even crossed Damien’s mind to ‘take advantage’ of the new laws, until, late one night when he was drinking in a bar. He met a young woman named Emily. The two hit it off nicely and Damien felt he’d gotten all the ‘right signs’ from her. At the  end of the evening Damien offered to walk Emily home, she accepted.
One thing led to another and the two stopped in an alleyway and started kissing. However, when Damien tried to take things further, Emily unequivocally said no.
Damien felt insulted and angered by the refusal, it was then that he remembered the new laws and his new ‘privileges’… he didn’t hesitate. As he walked away leaving Emily crying and bruised in the alleyway, Damien realised just how enjoyable he found the whole experience of taking a woman against her will. This was the first in a long string of rapes Damien would carried out, mostly on complete strangers.

Recently Damien’s cravings have become even more sinister and predatory. Once or twice a week he will go out at night trolling bars, clubs and other nightspots looking for beautiful women to possess. Damien has also established a small internet forum dubbed ‘www.truemen.net’ which has a growing membership of fertile men whom share their experiences and even plan outings together… these involve going out and targeting women for rape and even gang-rape.

This isn't my usual game but I have a hankering for some rather dirtier, nastier fun than I usually go for which this game seems to offer, plus I have a character who I think could be a long-term female protagonist, with a twist.

I'm fine with making up a few disposable characters too.

Just a question, the Breeding Law, I assume it requires a female of minimum age... I'd guess 18, right?

Anyway, here's my main gal. I can spew out a disposable one too when she's wanted.

History: Anoka is a lawyer, graduating seventh in her class at Harvard and after working on some white collar fraud cases when she first began practicing, in the last two years has worked on cases involving grey areas of the Breeding Laws. A case of a woman who was disabled but nevertheless 'raped' and would have been quite unable to raise a child was granted massive compensation due to Anoka's skilled work on her clients behalf. Another case involved putting away for a long time a team of three corrupt cops, a doctor and two technicians who were selling legit Government Mating Badges to infertile men who were buying them via an underground market. Unfortunately Mr Big who had set the illegal racket up, got away, although five infertile males went behind bars too and eleven pregnant women received massive compensation.

Anoka has issues with the new law and is constantly taking up cases defending women who are claiming rape, and by subtle loopholes is granting them either abortions or huge punitive compensation payouts.

The fact she is gay is not known to anyone (other than her lovers) except Stonewall, in whom she confides her life's worries, usually from her bathtub while he lounges on the windowsill in the sun.

Personality: Superficial charm, a sense of extreme entitlement, a lack of remorse for hurting others, a persistent agitated or depressed feeling when alone. Likes to inflict pain to others, hurting other people in itself only brings a small thrill, it isn't the physical pleasure but the psychological understanding that pain is an effective means of control. He will speak coarsely just to get a reaction, and he'll pick apart people if he finds their weaknesses. He loves to play with peoples minds, and their bodies. If you aren't careful, you could easily find yourself in a bad spot. Even if he can't get to someones head he can still get to their body. He takes what he wants. Even before the law passed. He'll make it happen if he really wants it to.

Clinically he was chosen for his previous line of work for a series of traits that made him expectional fo it. Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self, leads him to easily reimagine himself so suit most situations. Chronic feelings of emptiness which lead to him taking a job that had him on the move a lot. Light dissasositive symptoms that would allow him to do tasks others would blanch at for one reason or another.

History: There was nothing all that interesting about Keith's early history. His father was a military man, a high ranking officer who was stationed in a half a dozen countries, all of which Keith blended into seamlessly given only a month. He had a natural talent for languages and cultures, with a personality that molded itself to the situation easily. But he was a dissapointment to his father, he did not take to orders especially well, and outright rejected military school. However he still wound up in boot camp once, and despite his attitude problems he showed remarkable skill.

His father got the reports of some of the things he'd done, records broken, oders broken, and decided to give a call to one of his older aquiatences. Keith was offically adopted into an intelgience agency built around the concept of plausible deniability, meaning when bad guys dissapear, or large scale military operations seemed to hit just the right spot it usually had sometime to do with the oeganization he worked for, and sometimes him.

But it's not a bussiness you stay in long, the life expectancy is pretty short, and he managed ten years before he was 'retired'. This had less than nothing to do with loss of skill, but evertying to do with the discovery that his semen had a high potency and was abducted into a more offical role for the Govornment for it. He missed his work, but the perks were good, so he didn't object to switching in his liscence to kill for his liscence to rape without much complaint.

Likes: Sex, drinking, teasing the edges of his old work. This includes inflicting light pain, rarely more then flogging or caning, reading into a persons mind and twisting around their desies or fears. Controling others. Being free to do more then most. Dislikes: Being ordered, being manipulated, having people assume he's an idiot.
Player likes: Bondage, light to heavy depending on partners skill. Non-con. S&M, although I prefer the recipient to enjoy it on at least a subconcious level. Humiliation. (Grah, go to my O/O for more.)

Alright, but the daily limit card probably wouldn't be allowed. There is legal protections to keep men from hurting her too much though, so she does at least have that.

Hm... I think its reasonable for certain jobs to be exempt or limited as Lovely has suggested. I mean female bus drivers, teachers, nurses, doctors, politicians, train drivers, pilots, serving soldiers in battle... If any female can be raped at any time without question there is going to be a stack of problems, even to the point of people dying or missing vital appointments/connecting flights and such. So if Lovely's nurse is attending a patient and its urgent then I think certainly she should be in her rights to refuse.

I think there needs to be some sort of limit to how much any man can impose on a woman here.

Maybe never while a woman is at her place of employment and working. There. That covers it quite well I think.

An alternative is a whole quantum-shift in society so that women no longer have 'critical' jobs and they work only in places where constant interruptions are not going to result in something bad happening such as someone dying. So a nurse would be excluded for that reason, nurses would be male. That too could be a possibility.

Personality: James has a calm, almost aloof personality.   Because of that, he rarely forms close relationships.  (Oddly enough, James tends to be monogamous.)
History: James comes from a family with a long history of English Nobility.  While he didn't inherit the family title, he's got plenty of money and free time.  Given that he's the only member of his family left with the ability to reproduce, he knows that it'll be one of his children that eventually inherits the title.   As a child, he was privately tutored.  As such, he's received a broad education and can do pretty much whatever he wants.   He has a Political Sciences degree from Cambridge and has traveled the world, never settling down in any one area for more than a year.

In spite of his condition, James knows that he'll have to be the one to produce a heir for the family name.  This carries a bit more responsibility than he wants at this time, and he knows sooner rather than later he'll have to settle somewhere and select the woman who's responsibility will be to produce said heir.  He views his badge as simply another tool to accomplish things, and tends to have the same view on money.  On several occasions, he's simply taken the woman home with him and locked her away there until he grew tired of her.

His viewpoints on women really haven't changed much and he's of mixed feelings about how things changed (i.e. it makes it easier to get laid but much harder for a serious relationship).  He's figured that whomever he selects, he'll more or less have to lock her away in seclusion and has begun to look for ways to ensure that once he's made his selection that he'll be able to keep her only for his own use.  Nobles can bend the rules sometimes and he's still trying to figure out a way to do it without turning her into more or less a sex slave.  And not having much success.

History: Melanie is a cheerful, friendly girl, raised by extremely liberal and free-thinking (and wealthy) parents. She had an incredibly sheltered childhood, and grew to believe in the best of people. She is the eternal optimist, thinking that everything will always work out in the end, even in the direst of situations, and even in situations where such sunny optimism is, well, ludicrous. . She became a teacher out of a desire to help those less fortunate than her. In an effort to protect their somewhat naïve and entirely-too trusting daughter, though, her parents “encouraged” Melanie to teach in a private school for younger children … in an effort to shield her from the Breeding Laws.

Melanie believes the Breeding Laws are a good thing … however, she tends to think of them in a very abstract sense, that they are “good for humanity”. If ever pressed on why she thinks that, though, she offers only a few meaningless platitudes, stammers, and then tries to change the subject as quickly as possible. She doesn’t know anyone personally raped or assaulted because of the Laws, and she certainly has never been attacked.

Melanie only has been on a few dates with a few men in her life, mostly in arranged dates carefully considered and approved by her parents. She isn’t a virgin, but she’s extremely inexperienced when it comes to sex.

I get the impression that disposable female characters are useful too - one scene and they leave the story. I think many encounters in this world would be like that. I also have no interest in pregnancy plots. Not my thing (at this time of life anyway!) so being fertilised and the char leaving the story would be preferable for me, allowing me to wheel another girl in.

I hope Villain, you won't require huge depth to such one-shotters as the girls who intend to get entwined in the story?

Here's my first character; I plan on making another, more twisted one later if this one gets accepted. >:)

Likes: God, women, the sanctity of marriage
Dislikes: Rapists, atheists, liberals/governments (he views them as the same)
Player Likes: Just see my roleplay page, but I doubt that it'll come up much with THIS guy
Personality: Slightly crazy, Marcus is kind and gentle enough, though when he sees something he disagrees with, he'll start quoting Bible verses while smashing someone in the face. An innocent child one minute, a murderous monster the next.
History: Marcus was born of the union of a teenage girl and her rapist. Rather than abort the child, the girl gave birth, and then sent into a Puritan orphanage, often coming to see the boy in his early years to make sure he was being well looked after. Marcus has few memories of his mother; just that she 'was beautiful, and cared'.

The pastor, however, made in known in uncertain terms that Marcus was the union of a child and a demon, and thus was born far more sinful then others. So, he told Marcus, he must lead a far more pure life than others. Marcus took this to heart, dedicated his life to the Puritan Church, and became known as a kindly, if slightly off his rocker, traveling preacher.

However, he began to notice violent tendencies within himself. Self-flagellation could only do so much, so he enrolled in a kickboxing club to help ease out his aggression. While it wasn't entirely successful, it did take off enough of the sting that he could trust himself around people.

When the Breeding Laws hit, Marcus saw them for what they were; turning men into monsters, and giving monsters an excuse to act out on their desires. "Laws without morality must be broken!!!"

So Marcus has gone on to preach and denounce the law, saying it was the duty handed down by God Himself to defend any woman being violated for the sake of 'breeding', and that anyone who stood by and did nothing was 'as guilty as the rapists themselves'. Part of the reason he did this was because he truly believed what he said. But the other reason was a paper-thin shield to hide behind when he noticed that he still had sexual cravings...

Marcus is afraid to get himself tested, afraid of the power that would be handed to him. Most importantly, Marcus is afraid to be around a woman alone. He doesn't know how much longer he can help himself...

I understand; I believe the character works well in theory, but I know there could be potential problems.

I actually like him and as a character in this setting he works.

However he has to work within the small group of characters we have here, so he needs his own storyline. I think it can work we just need to massage it enough so it doesn't send the game off in some crazy unwanted direction.

I can actually see Anoka knowing him and um, using his skills to do some dirty work for her when the law fails her. If she also works with Keith then those three would make a very unlikely team with some pretty dysfunctional priorities.

Anoka, Keith and Marcus... it's like a triple X rated A-Team on steroids.

I don't know Haibane, I'm not convinced that you could get Keith and Marcus int he same room without violence ensuing, but that would be more on Marcus' part then Keith's so who knows, I could assume wrong. That and Keith would have no interest in stopping anyone who was fertile from doing what they wanted, as long as they were actualy fertile.

Unless someone told Marcus that Keith actively raped/was caught in the act, Marcus would just look down on him for his compliance and 'badge' status. But yeah, the only way I could see these two working together on anything is against a ring of 'illegal badge distribution' or something like that.

Much better. My only suggestion is to de-crazy him a little, liberals aren't equal to rapists- just wrong. Crazy people aren't as effective as sane people in the long run, politically speaking. And that's just a suggestion, you don't need to follow it.

History:

She is still very much in love with her husband, who survived the plague but with his libido destroyed.

The flu affected her career, of course, initially taking a hit from the reduced numbers of horny men worldwide.
