Yes Ma'am kendra.

Alsheriam (if I dont beat Secret in typing) - You've our approval to go ahead and move it over to the bio's as good to go. If it becomes obviously overpowered, we can discuss a little editing to the limitation.

I don't think it will become over powered, personally, but I do agree with that for anyone that if it becomes overpowered anywhere we can discuss edits.  I don't like stepping on people's toes and asking them to edit but at the same time, sometimes it's needed.

LOL This isn't even the OOC!

OOC is here We should move there for game chatter not regarding the approving of characters <3

Drat! Reign beat me to it :P

I'm working on an aplication now if it's not too  late.  Trouble is, his costume's  stuck in the nineties (along with my non-anime fashion sense) and I need a picture.

I highly doubt we'll be closing up the recruitment for a goodly while. So there's still quite a bit open.

Character:

Code-Name: Storm
Aliases: Storm goddess, weather witch
Real Name: Ororo Monroe
Ethnicity: African-American/mixed?
Sex: Female
Age: 30
Relationship Status: In canon she is married to Black Panther, In another canon, she was with Dr. Hank McCoy.  Here, I'm playing her as single.
Team Affiliation: Xavier
Position at the School: Professor

Appearance:

Hair: White
Eyes: Brown till using her abilities
Skin: Sexual Cinnamon :P  Mocha
Weight: 145
Height: 5'6
Other:

Date Of Birth: September 24, 1980 - Age 30
Place Of Birth: New York City
Citizenship: U.S, though she has political ties to Morocco.

Information:

Personality:
Ororo Monroe is loyal to a fault, never abandoning her friends and sticking beside those she loves through thick and thin.  She doesn't always agree with them and she will speak up when something bothers her.  She has excellent leadership skills and in the past has led the X-men team into battles that they have both won and lost.  She knows when to pull out but admittedly she does have a habit of wanting to win, to beat those that cause her family torment.

One of Storm's biggest fears is small spaces, causing her to be claustrophobic.  This happened after the blast in Egypt that killed her parents when she was six-years-old.  A terrorist bomb destroyed her life and trapped her under tons of rubble, and she lay there right beside her mother's corpse.

Background: [Three good paragraphs]

After the death of her parents, and being taken in by a master thief, Achmed el-Gibar, she learned all too well how to nick things and lift wallets.  By twelve she abandoned her thieving ways and went home to Morocco, where her mother was from.

Getting her powers around puberty, she slowly began developing her ability to control the weather, earning the title of 'Storm goddess' by the locals there because she used her powers to help crops grow and make sure that they had ample rain.

She was approached by Professor Xavier, not knowing that she was a mutant, but being asked to help rescue some of the X-men who had been captured.  After that, she was asked to join the second generation of the X-men. [According to canon, the original wanted to just live their own lives.]

Also recruited by Magneto to join his Brotherhood, she declined, wanting peace and equality more than to use her powers to imprison humans and strike fear into their hearts.

The reason that she joined the X-men was because she could use her powers for good, helping people in need.  She is known to help others whether they appreciate/want it or not.

Mother:

Name: N'dare Monroe
Race: human, princess of an African tribe.

Father:

Name: David Monroe
Race: Human - photojournalist
Other Relatives:

Powers:
The ability to fly
She can manipulate nature/weather - her eyes do change color and turn solid white, sometimes dark and stormy with clouds rolling when she's doing what she does.  When manipulating lightning, rain, wind, and so on, she is lifted up by wind [canon- when angry] and she is immune to the heat and cold that she can cause to develop.

Power Limitations:
The weather is affected by her emotions and because of that, she has to check her emotional state. If she is angry, she can't pull in rain properly, instead causing lighting and devastation.  Similarly, if she depressed, it is harder for her to bring in a proper raging thunder storm.

Hobbies and Interests:
Nature. Storm loves nature in all forms, loves being in natural surroundings and enjoyed, in her past, helping people through droughts.  Above all her greatest interest is helping others and hoping that one day everyone will be on equal footing.

Character:

Code-Name: Dragonline
Real Name: Justin Drake
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Sex: Male
Age: 20
Relationship Status: Single
Team Affiliation: [Xavier]
Position at the School: Entering College Sophomore

Appearance:

Hair: Black in a pony tail.
Eyes: Blue
Skin: Tanned
Weight: 282
Height: 6’6”
Other:  Muscular physique.

Date Of Birth:  January 5th, 1990
Place Of Birth:  El Paso, Texas
Citizenship:  USA

Information:

Personality:  Affable and cheerful with a belief in Xavier’s dreams even before he came here, Justin—by some miracle—came out of the bible belt with a positive attitude, an easy smile, and a sense of humor.  His sense of humor can be cutting at times—even ruthless—but he is a truly compassionate person who will smile even when he’s crying.

Inside, his positive attitude is just as much a mask as anyone else’s sharp edges.  Some would say more so because no matter how much he hurts he never wants to bring his friends down.

Background:  Born to a teacher and a church musician, Justin inherited academic leanings, but not musical gifts.  No matter how many piano lessons he attended he was never as good as his younger sister, or wanted to be, and at thirteen he happily shoved music out of his life to focus on athletics and reading.

As a child, his creativity and love of reading set him apart from his peers to the point where he empathized with mutants and began following their politics and exploits.

It didn’t stop him from making friends, Sorsha—the girl next door—and later two fellow nerds, Sean and Michael, whom he met at advanced education programs at UT El Paso.

His father came to suffer from bipolar depression which went undiagnosed.  He treated it with alcohol and caffeine.  Though he didn’t suffer physical abuse very often, there were a good many shouting matches and from time to time uncalled for spankings accompanied by brutal emotions.  In his fourteenth year, during one of the second events, Justin yelled out, “Stay away from me!  Just stay away!”

His father was first pushed back, then both were pushed away from each other.  His father yelled something vicious and Justin screamed something incomprehensible.  A sort of aura pulsed between them and both were shoved violently to opposite corners of the room.

As if flexing something, he held them both there ‘til he squeezed himself unconscious.

The next day, his father acted as if nothing had happened.  Sorsha, however, pulled him aside in school too ask him about it and share the awakening of her own mutation into a minor psychic, complete with low level telekinetic powers.

They gave each other secret names, he called her Oracle, she called him Dragonline.

Sorsha had always been a mystically inclined sort.  Many around them suspected that the two friends would mature into lovers, but they discovered early on that they had the same taste in women.  They protected each other through high school, dying Sorsha’s hair neon purple when it started too come in that way naturally and Sorhsha giving Justin a pair of expensive sun glasses when auras kept flickering over his eyes.

At college in Lubbock, Texas, Sorsha met a Native American girl from Nevada and fell in love.  Justin’s powers came out when a group of Greeks subjected the two girls to brutal hazing.  This time, he was bigger than most of them.  He knew not only the fighting aspect of martial arts, but also stances and was able too slam a good many frat boys into walls without himself moving at all, then he had to fight them, and took a good bruising in the process, but at least he’d learned too augment his muscles…

Sorsha is with her lover in Nevada now.  If she were here, Justin really would be living his dream.

Mother:

Name: Kayla Drake
Race: human

Father:

Name: Gregory Drake
Race: Human

Other Relatives:

Powers:
Biomagnetisim:  The ability to attract and/or repel other beings with circadian auras.  AKA, he can exert force on any being with an organic nervous system to draw the two of them together or push the two of them apart.

Heightened strength:  A minor extension of Biomagnetisim, when muscles work, they push and pull against each other.  Thus Justin’s power is able to augment this action.

Psychological biomagnetisim:  Though this power hasn’t yet manifested accept as seemingly natural levels of empathy and the ability to perceive auras, Justin may one day develop a more psychological sort of ‘biological attraction.’

Power Limitations:
Biomagnetisim is not telekinesis.  It only attracts and repels, and it is not in any way exempt from the laws of action and reaction, quite the opposite!
Auras sometimes become visible when he uses his powers, especially around his eyes.

Hobbies and Interests:

Sorrows Solace

Character:

Code-Name: Nightingale
Real Name: Quewyn Klein (prefers to be called “Wyn)
Ethnicity: Russian
Sex: Female
Age: Seventeen
Relationship Status: Single
Team Affiliation: [Xavier, Anarchy X, Independent: Independent
Position at the School: Student

Hair: Silver Grey
Eyes: Blue-Violet
Skin: Pale
Weight: 102 lbs
Height: 5’2’’
Other: (physical defects/mutations, overall appearance): The first impression that most will have of Wyn is a picture of frailty. She is short and has a willowy figure, a tiny wisp against her rambunctious cousins. Her face is heart shaped and her smile is shy and sweet, her eyes are a soft blue-violet and her hair is always in a thick braid; if it’s down it reaches to just about her bum. Bangs usually cover her eyes slightly. Wyn has a thick Russian accent as well as a heavy stammer and unless she speaks slowly it can be very hard to understand her. She is short, standing at 5’2’’ and is slight at just over 100 pounds, her chest is small and she’s lithe, exercising by dance and running. Wyn also sleepwalks occasionally and is embarrassed if awakened or if she wakes up in a strange place.

Date Of Birth: June 25th, 1993
Place Of Birth: London, England
Citizenship: Dual: Russian and USA

Information:

Personality: Wyn wears her heart on her sleeve; she is compassionate and hates to see others hurt. She has trouble making friends because she is very shy (due to her stammer, accent and looks) and has trouble speaking easily when she meets someone new. When she does make friends, she is loyal and will defend them strongly. Since she’s small Wyn dislikes being coddled and has a faint independent streak. She’s sensitive and can be hurt easily it will take her some time to get past it. Wyn doesn’t really understand teasing and can take it literally at times, when she blushes her skin turns a deep pink and her stammer worsens.

Background: Wyn was born to in London, England on a sweltering June morning. Her mother Nora, a CEO of a highly known record label company felt that it was unfair for Wyn to grow up under a workaholic mother and a set of nannies- so after her first birthday the girl was sent to live with her aunt and uncle in Russia (on her father’s side.) Her father, Thomen was a guitarist and vocalist for a semi-popular band only known as “The Wandering Bards” and was killed in a car crash before Wyn was born.
Nora would never really admit it to people but the loss of Thomen broke her heart; he had been able to see the woman behind the CEO title after he died she buried herself in work. Wyn grew up in Russia, learning about the tailor’s trade and finding a solace and outlet in music to help her cope with the sense of displacement. She heard small word from her mother over the years; the woman sending letters and seemed more of a tentative distant relative then a mother. Wyn was ten years old when she received a gift from her uncle; a wonderfully crafted mandolin; her introduction into her heritage.
When she was fourteen odd things began to happen. She got headaches after she practiced her mandolin and her cousins would complain that they couldn’t concentrate when she practiced, drawn to her playing. Eventually an associate of the Academy heard her performing at a local celebration and after a long series of talks and debates Wyn moved to the School and is about to start her very first term.

Mother:

Name: Nora Walker
Race: Human

Father:

Name: Thomen Klein
Race: Possibly mutant

Other Relatives:
Uncle: Karl (45, Supervisor of a textile factory)
Aunt: Rada (42, Owns a small tailor and fashion shop)
Cousins: Sergei (15), Nina & Mayra (Twins, 12), Sonya (age 4)

Powers:
Major: Wyn’s obsession with music twines with her gift; her singing voice is a sweet and clear soprano and pulls at the emotions of others. With the right song and series of notes she can captivate an audience and hold them under her sway. Whenever she sings and plays pulses of empathy come from her and can influence the audience’s emotion; joy, sorrow and awe. She fosters this gift by applying a great amount of time and learning to grow talented as a musician alone and the manipulations are mostly accidental stemming from the passion she has for song.

Minor: Sound Synesthesia: Wyn can see sound in bursts of vivid colour and shapes.

Minor: She can also create illusionary images, like holograms and uses them to enhance her performances. She can project sound through them as well, like ventriloquism but this is a talent she is still practicing.

Power Limitations: Major: If there are people that has a strong will and can ignore emotional manipulation then they will not be affected by it. She cannot mentally control anyone to do anything, or make them feel something that they wouldn’t already be capable of feeling (For example she would not be able to reduce a Wolverine-esque character into a weepy blubbering mess.)

Minor: Wyn’s Synesthesia only extends to as far as she can see; also she does get headaches if there is too much sound and she is unable to filter everything properly.

Minor: Wyn’s illusionary images are not perfect copies; they will flicker and fade out in time. While impressive they are not realistic. Also the sound filtered through them is extremely basic (like another instrument playing in time with hers; i.e. two mandolins at once)

Hobbies and Interests:
It goes without saying that Wyn loves music. Composing, playing and tinkering with different instruments make her extremely happy. She possesses a huge collection of CD’s ranging on all genres of music and she has piles of music theory and composition books.

Being part of a tailor’s family had led to Wyn being able to name and pick out a wide array of fabrics and she enjoys making her own clothes when able. Once she gets to know people Wyn loves to be able to help other in shopping for a new wardrobe.

Wyn has a great interest in history and literature; she enjoys poetry and likes to try her hand at writing lyrics. She likes to read up on Russian history and the Renaissance. The life stories of musician and composers are something she always wants to learn. Also she loves to dance and knows how to waltz and wants to see what else she can learn at school.

Alright, define superhumanly strong, and then define durable.

Are we talking lifting cars with a little struggle? Or throwing around semi's like tonka trucks?

Durability-wise, are we talking he can get the shit beat out of him, but still bleeds, or are we talking bullet-proof/ drop a building on him and he giggles because it tickled?

What degree of each would be appropriate for your game? It would really be easier for me if you told me what amount you and secretwriter are willing to permit, and then what sorts of limitations would appropriate for those powers.

Quote from: Secretwriter on November 29, 2010, 12:13:02 AM
In this game the characters are flawed.  That's how we as the gm's would like to see people played: As persons with flaws and a side of humanity.   Not every character can be Wolverine or the Juggernaut.  It's just not how X-Men was and with people who are role playing instead of writing a comic, it's not feasible to have some be too strong or crazily adept at anything.

And that's why I said canon isn't a terribly good guide: it's full of characters who are too strong or crazily adept at anything, you know? And there's characters whose flaws have really little to do with their powers.

Quote from: Hellion000 on November 29, 2010, 11:00:27 AM
Cold,

Actually, if you look beyond basic powers Wolverine is one of the most limited characters in the comic.

For starters, he has absolutely no ranged attacks or defensive powers. Healing, while awesome, is NOT a defensive power, it is a support power. Also, he's got the most psychological disadvantages to the entire roster of X-Men with the POSSIBLE exception of Penance from Generation X. He's also got the most enemies- all of whom are roughly as powerful as he is, and the largest roster of gov't groups who would LOVE to 'study' him. All in all, while he's almost impossible to beat in a fight, he's nearly useless outside of conflict and he draws more attention from enemy groups than anyone else. And, really... the fact that he's almost impossible to beat in a fight stems as much from experience as it does Adamantium skeletons and healing factor.

All of that's true, but as far as I understand it, the flaws demanded on the character sheet are to be flaws in the powers themselves. There's nothing actually wrong with Wolverine's healing factor, or his superhuman senses, which is part of why I'm having difficulty getting my head around what's appropriate for this game.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Code-Name: Shaft
Real Name: Harada Ichigo
Ethnicity: Japanese
Sex: Male
Age: 28
Relationship Status: Complicated (Married but his wife is in another universe he can't return to)
Team Affiliation: Xavier
Previous Teams or Organizations: Prodigy X, X-Men (Two separate incarnations), Big Hero Six, X-Force (Two Separate incarnations)
Position at the School: Self Defense Instructor

Other: Ichigo's right eye is a cybernetic replacement for one he lost

Date Of Birth: August 17th, 2016
Place Of Birth: Osaka, Japan
Citizenship: Technically Japanese, but is also a citizen of Genosha

Information:

Personality:

Ichigo’s personality has changed since he got married and becoming a father and a teacher. He is quiet and soft spoken (unless he feels he’s got something to say, then he’ll let you have it full force), but quietly arrogant about his combat skills. But despite this, he is a tried and true friend. Once he gives his friendship, he’ll give his life for you if it’s needed. He tends to be coolly indifferent to those whom he doesn’t count as a friend. And calculatingly hostile to those whom he considers an enemy.

Ichigo also lives by the ancient code of bushido, or as close to it as he can based off of books written three to five hundred years ago. As such, he seems to act impulsively, brashly, and without regards to what he says or does. But the truth of the matter is that he doesn’t care much about what people think, he lives each day as if it will be his last. And speaks with a brutal honesty befitting that, so as not to have any regrets. So he is definitely a man that takes some getting used too.

Background:
History: Born to Keniuchio Harada, leader of the Big Hero 6 of Japan, his birth was the object of much celebration as he would inherit the legacy of his father and was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps. Born into a world where humanity and mutantkind was at war with one another, where Apocalypse controlled the entire continent of Africa, the Middle East, and was making a push for Europe proper.
Yuriko raised her son in the only way she knew, in the heat of combat. From the moment he was capable of standing, she started to teach him martial arts. When other kids were outside playing, he was in the dojo learning how to fight and kill. All in preparation of the day when he would assume his father's position as leader of Clan Yashida and leader of the Big Hero Six. But it quickly became clear early on in his teenage years that Ichigo wanted a normal life. And he pursued that life, doing his best to avoid becoming entangled in the plans made by the villains X the Unknowable or Everwraith.

Instead he chose to pursue a historic past time, Archery. Through constant practice, determination, and the resources of the Giri Corporation, Ichigo made it to the Olympic Tryouts and eventually the Japanese Olympic Team. And was considered a strong contender for the gold in the 2031 Summer Olympics, up until his powers surfaced at practice and he blasted a hole through the target, the stadium walls and out into the streets killing 8 people who were unlucky enough to be in the path of the supercharged arrow that left him unconscious and nearly dead from a laceration to the neck when the bowstring snapped and cut deep into his neck, nearly severing an artery.

Due to this shameful situation, Ichigo stepped down from the Japanese Olympics team the day before the Olympics were to begin and publicly apologized to the families of those whom had fallen before his arrow. After which he quietly receded from public view as he trained in the Big Hero 6 headquarters. As he trained with his arrows, his other powers came into being quietly under controlled circumstances. It was here that he honed his already amazing skills to become an ally to his father’s team. With equipment designed specifically for him, he was capable of shooting what most considered to be impossible to hit.

After a battle with X the Unknowable that left most of the Big Hero 6 severely injured and incapable of continuing the fight did Ichigo fire an arrow loaded with what he now calls “Intent to Kill”. This act transformed his normal looking arrows into blasts of energy that left X the Unknowable dead and millions of dollars in damages to downtown Tokyo. It was this act that showed him he needed to separate himself from his beloved country in search of a means to better understand his powers on a level beyond just mastering them. He needed to understand the aspect of his powers that was influenced by his emotions and soul. He stuck around long enough to make sure that his father and friends would recover before packing a few changes of clothes and his superhero gear and heading to Westchester, New York in America to seek out The Wolverine that his father had spoken of so highly over the years. Maybe he and the X-Men would be able to give him Enlightenment that he feels he has yet to find.

The truth of the matter is that he already understands everything about his powers and how his emotions and soul affect his powers, but having only fired five such arrows as he fired that day against X the Unknowable and the disastrous results of which has left him afraid of his powers on a subconscious level. He doesn’t want to harm anyone. And the fact that he has killed one entity intentionally and eight others accidentally has been a burden on his mind and soul that he must come to grips with and realize that in combat lives hang in the balance. And that sometimes a hero must do the unthinkable and kill.

Ichigo’s trip to the United States began with a nasty fight that left Ichigo on the brink of death, having gotten on the short end of a fight with a group of Sentinels. The meeting he’d wanted to have with Logan, left him unfulfilled when he was told to go with Shatterstar, the then Headmaster of Greymalkin Institute, and join Prodigy X where he would learn more about himself and his powers. And over the course of time he did indeed discover more about himself and his powers, when in a training simulation he used his powers in a manner that could have potentially killed everyone in Greymalkin Point (not just the school but the entire town) had Emma Frost, the then Headmistress, reacted and enveloped him in the most powerful forcefield the danger room could produce. The damage took hours to repair as the Danger Room generators had to be overhauled and several projectors replaced by the maintenance programs.

Ichigo had drained himself to the limit and was taken into the Swiss Alps somewhere (Not even Ichigo knows exactly where), and trained with Exodus for a full month. The training was exponentially more intensive than anything his own parents had put him through. His training happened even during his sleep as Exodus used every possible moment to instruct him in a myriad different things. It soon became evident that Exodus had telepathically tampered with him. Though his powers became more refined, it came at a price that Ichigo found he had no choice but to pay. The raw power of his tachyon abilities was restrained and filtered through a telepathic ‘screen’. Exodus explained it to him once, but the concepts were out of his league.

It was then that Exodus told him that Apocalypse’s forces were attacking Greymalkin Point. Ichigo grabbed his gear and said he was ready. Exodus looked at him solemnly and shook his head slightly. “Not yet. You must prepare for what is yet to come. This skirmish is unimportant in the grander scheme. Stay and prepare. I will return in due time. You know what must be done.”

Ichigo was crushed and infuriated. But it mattered little, Exodus left without him. Ichigo burnt through his rage and frustration working out. It would be nearly a week later that Exodus came back and tested him. Once the test was complete, he told Ichigo that it was time to return. Ichigo and Exodus teleported to New Genosha where over the course of a morning, was reunited with the survivors of what was soon dubbed the Greymalkin Point Massacre.

Ichigo’s own confidence in his own skills and abilities led him to butt heads with the new Headmistress, Dr. Katie Malone. His anger and frustration had caused the alternate personality within a student to manifest. Ichigo, leaving Dr. Malone’s office was rendered immobile and struggling to maintain consciousness. Dawn, the alternate personality sent him flying into a wall and telepathically erased all memories of his time in New Genosha. Then with the aid of Franklin Richards, he was transported to a hospital in New York, where he was recovered by Bishop and Cable.

He was never asked to formally join the X-Men, it was simply assumed that he was to be a member when Natrone had him equipped and put into a training simulation with the Red Strike Team. From there he quickly proved himself to be a valuable member of the team and perhaps the most physically dominant member on the team, until Natrone left without a word and Najai returned. The sparring match between Najai and Ichigo was quick and silent. With Najai proving himself clearly the better. Ichigo not to be out done simply devoted himself to training harder with Najai’s help.

From there it was a waiting game, one that ultimately cost him the life of a friend and the discovery of a new love in life, he found himself falling in love with fellow teammate, Lauren aka Cadence. Together they grieved for their lost comrade before working on their newfound relationship.

When it was finally found out why Natrone left and supposedly why mutants everywhere were dying, Ichigo shook his head and stayed apart. He had no proof that an infant was responsible for the potential extinction of mutantkind. So would not bring himself to participate. But when Natrone seemingly disappeared into the future with Baby X, and Kanye Summers took over the X-Men and negotiated a blanket pardon for the X-Men in exchange for all of their members signing the General Mutant Registration Act (GMRA for short). Ichigo flatly refused and told Kanye in no uncertain terms what he thought Kanye could do with the GMRA, packed his belongings and left. He returned to Japan, pitting himself in the underground prize fighting circuits. Finding no one to challenge him like Najai had, he simply wandered Japan on foot for the better part of a year before coming back to Tokyo and stumbling across Akira Logan and Najai having it out in the streets. He kept his distance and simply watched.

When the fight ended and Najai agreeing to join X-Force, Ichigo made his presence known from a safe distance before inquiring if he could join. Akira accepted him after Najai gave his own backing as to Ichigo’s skills.

Ichigo’s time with X-Force was cut drastically short when he received word that his father was dead. Packing his things, he informed Akira that he would be gone for about a week to settle things at home with the passing away of his father. Upon arriving in Japan, he met with his mother who informed him that his father had been murdered. Ichigo said nothing and gave trust to Japanese Law Enforcement, that they would find his father’s killer and bring the man or woman to justice.

But after the funeral of his father, he was arrested, outside the very graveyard where his father had been buried, for the assassination of the Vice Prime Minister of Japan. Going into custody willingly, he hoped that his cooperation would aid in proving his innocence. Meanwhile, his mother contacted X-Force and they moved in to do their own investigation.

Soon it became evident that the man responsible was his own half-brother, the ‘legitimate’ son that the Silver Samurai had had with Viper, who by all legal rights was his wife. Harada Kouhei, had crippled his mother and ruled Madripoor in her stead, and had been the instrument of his own father’s assassination and the setup of his half-brother for the assassination of the Vice Prime Minister. When this information was brought before authorities, they freed Ichigo and told him that his help would be needed in bringing Kouhei to justice.

Arming himself, he went to Madripoor with the teleportative abilities of his teammate, Pockets, and confronted his half-brother. The ensuing fight was brutal as each did his best to kill the other. But soon their fight was brought to a close when the continued clash of tachyon field on tachyon field produced a rift in the spatial barrier of the world. Kouhei was the first to be sucked in, and so was Ichigo.

Encountering the strangeness of this new reality, he has encountered strange and powerful foes, entangled himself in someone’s scheme without even realizing it, and nearly getting himself killed in the process. A world in which mutants had rights, just like any other enthicity or race. A world where only superheroes and villians were forced to register themselves (the latter upon capture). And now has come to America to seek out the X-Men of this reality. Or more specifically their leader, a reality tossed mutant with whom he’d served on the X-Force team. Finding that Brandon Paris was indeed the same man he knew and cared for, he hoped to call Xavier’s home once again, as he looked to the horizon for what was to come. All the while hoping that he would be given the opportunity to avenge his father’s murder and settle the matter of his stained honor.

But as with any good war, staying in one place for too long turned out to be a bad thing as the X-Men were attacked by X-Factor. In a bid to keep the X-Men from getting killed, Brandon allowed himself to be arrested by SHIELD. During this time, Ichigo in turn was arrested for the actions of the Ichigo native to this reality. It was a tough time for him as he had to keep from losing his temper and killing everyone who called him an assassin, murderer, and other things. Though in time, with the aide of his sister, it became clear he wasn’t the man they wanted.

And through some more quick bargaining by Brandon, all charges against both Brandon, Ria, and Ichigo would be dropped in exchange for doing some black ops works for SHIELD. Their first target turned out to be Raine, the Son of Apocalypse. The mission went from bad to worse as soon as they encountered Raine who had in his possession a Cosmic Cube.

Using experimental technology, Ichigo teleported the small team of three out of the complex to Muir Island where both men fell into comas. It was through the aid of a monk trained in mystical arts that they were allowed to be healed. But in doing so, he brought both men closer than they’d ever been by temporarily connecting their souls.

From there it was a mad dash to get prepared for the invasion and altercation that would be dubbed ‘The Two Day War’. At the end of this altercation, the fighting was called off when it became evident that a greater threat was posed by an invading alien force called the Brea. Who assimilated the strong and ate the weak.

It was a game of cat and mouse from that point onwards. But eventually the Brea pulled back as the world came under silent and hidden attack by the Dark Association. A group of highly dangerous individuals from various dimensions bent on the complete annihilation of dimensions, the stolen energy from their death was to be used to catapult them to the power levels of Celestials. Something that had to be stopped at all costs.

But the opening salvo against the X-Men did not come from the Dark Association but rather an unexpected quarter, Apocalypse. A man long since thought killed off. Ichigo having survived an attack on his Halo drop gathered allies to avenge what he, and the rest of the world, thought were dead allies and loved ones. In time, he was reunited with all of them. During this time, he bore witness to the death of a world and forced to make a decision between doing what needed to be done, regardless of the lives lost or hold true to concept of being a hero. Ichigo chose to remain behind and be the eyes behind enemy lines.

Joining a new X-Force Team, he helped save three separate universes from utter destruction in what became known as the Celestial War. In the time after the war, there was total and complete peace. Then the nations of the world turned their attentions to capturing all that remained of the forces who had intended on slaying all of them. Unfortunately, because of the tactic used to locate the central base of the enemy, Ichigo and X-Force were added to that list of enemies.

But the Brea had returned, sending out scouting parties. Their intent was destroying Earth utterly. So when X-Force was captured they were given a conditional pardon. Ichigo's sister was forced to go live with the Auran, an alien group of pacifist diplomats who had made huge advances in medical technology. Her task was to make it so that technology could be used on the human and mutant physiology.

Ichigo took on the responsibility of his wife and himself and became the Self-Defense and Combatives Instructor at the Second Generation Academy in Genosha, all while doing Black Ops work for SHIELD.

When the Brea attacked en masse, Ichigo was part of the spearhead that met them head on. He watched as Magneto proved with his death why he was called the Master of Magnetism when he brought asteroids from across the solar system and used them as weapons against the enemy fleet. Through the course of the battle, Ichigo lost many friends and allies. He had even been forced to carry a dying Shatterstar to an evacuation pod. When the old interdimensional alien warrior died, he entrusted the young warrior with his swords with his dying breathe.

Ejecting from the ship that was in the midst of self-destructing, the warp field sent him catapulting not only through space but time and across a dimensional border. The escape pod crash landed in the snowy lands of the Northwest Territories and immediately spiked Cerebra's attention and notified Professor Xavier about the new mutant who appeared in Canada.

Ichigo was retrieved by agents of Xavier in Canada and made his way to the School where Xavier scanned his mind, with Ichigo's permission, because of Ichigo's intense psychic defenses. Then after realizing the huge differences in this universe than the one from which he was native, informed him of a lot of those differences. And offered him the aide he would need to start a life here, in exchange for putting his skills as a Self-Defense instructor to good use.

Accepting, he made it known that it was only going to be until he could find a way to return to his own universe.... or whatever might be left of it. After all he had a wife and two kids. One a time tossed teenaged daughter and the other was a three year old boy.

Powers:
[Major] Tachyon Field Manipulation – A permutation of his father’s ability to manipulate Tachyon fields, he is capable of sheathing both arrows and his blades in Tachyon fields. Where it has been believed that his father is incapable, (though Ichigo would like to think hasn’t tried). This energy has yet to be stopped short of powerful TK fields, adamantium, vibranium, carbonadium, and energy absorbers/manipulators. It will go through flesh like it’s not there, leaving nothing behind in it’s wake.

Since his time with Prodigy X and a month long training regimen with Exodus, Ichigo has learned much more control and finesse with this power. He can now coat just the arrowhead instead of the arrow, if he chooses too. He can also cover the entirety of his swords now so that it looks like they are merely glowing a whitish-blue instead of a blazing inferno of whitish-blue energy.

Recently due to spending time with his half-brother and father, he’s begun working on using his manipulation techniques to allow him more flexibility in his use of this power.

[Minor] Enhanced Speed – This power allows him to move at a rate four times faster than a human athlete in peak physical condition. It also allows him to react faster in combat situations.

[Minor] Kinetic Energy Dissipation – A recently acquired mutation, this ability allows him to absorb kinetic energy and allow it to bleed off harmlessly. The side effect of this is he can fall from greater heights than most people as well as take punches, kicks, and blows from blunt objects. While it doesn't prevent injury from getting shot, it does greatly reduce the damage done by the concussive force of the bullet.

Power Limitations:
[Major] Tachyon Field Manipulation – Ichigo’s tachyon sheaths that coat the blades are weaker than those he generates over his arrows. But the intensity of the sheathes over his arrows are more powerful because of the short duration. Which is compensated by the speed of his arrows.

[Minor] Enhanced Speed – He can only move four times faster than a person in peak physical condition.

[Minor] Kinetic Energy Dissipation – It's a recent mutation and he doesn't fully understand how it works yet.

Non-Power Limitation
Coming from another universe where the technology was much more advanced than this reality, he can grow very frustrated with both it's limitations and the fact that he feels challenged using working 'antiques'.

Also his knowledge of current history is incomplete because his history is nothing similar to what is considered common knowledge.

Equipment: All of his equipment was made specifically for his use by his sister Harada Mariko (aka Shade)

A Titanium bow with a carbonadium bow string made, the bow also has a very nasty surprise in store for anyone who decides to try and use it other than Ichigo as the grip stores a small amount of tachyons that discharge destroying the hand that holds it. It’s a DNA encoded lock that disarms only for Ichigo.

He also carries a department on his tactical belt that allows him to carry a plethora of specialty arrowheads ranging from the mundane explosive arrowheads to more advanced arrowheads that deliver an EMP blast to a limited radius, liquid hydrogen payloads and more.

Two pair of vanadium katana and matching wakizashi, in a extra-dimensional storage sheath across his back. These are used for when he needs to go into close combat situations.

Personal Body Armor - Utilizing advanced technology, both native to this timeline and not, it is a lightweight body armor that utilizes dozens of small overlapping forcefield projectors to create a personal force field that repels most normal and hi-caliber ammunition and equally powerful energy blasts without effecting his forcefield.

Anything that may be powerful enough to breach the force field renders any number of emitters non-functional, weakening the overall effectiveness of his armor. Once the forcefield is non-functional, it is little more than fire and electricity resistant elements combined with armored plating. Due to recent missions it has become necessary for his armor to also include a layer of radiation protection, allowing him to survive high levels of radiation without being affected.

A slot in the left leg of his body armor that replicates arrows composed of ‘hard light’ as fast as he can draw them. These arrows last for about two minutes before they disappear.

The head piece has a built in camera that records all data when the armor is in use. Be it from a mission or just a training simulation. Ichigo can, using controls in the fingertips of his gloves, change the visual spectrum in which he can see through his visor. He has the capacity to switch from normal to either nightvision or infrared. The commlink is also built into the head piece.

Skills/Training: Mixed Martial Arts (He’s studied a great number of martial arts over the years and has incorporated them into his own personal style), Archery (Beyond Olympic Level, he’s perhaps one of the top five to ten archers in the world at this point), Combat Archery (Including but not limited to Teleportation Archery [a skill he’s had to acquire through many months of hard work, and is now a defunct skill as he no longer has the ability to teleport as a mutation], Trick Shots, Long Range Shots, Sharpshooting, Shooting into Melee, Multiple Arrows (Up to four at a time)

Yoga, Meditation, Combat Meditation, Gardening, Lockpicking, Escape Artist.

Ichigo also speaks English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, and he’s beginning to learn Kynian and Shi’ar Common.

He’s also heavily studied strategy, teamwork, and battle planning skills. While he isn’t a Nyu Tanumera or Randall Storm, he does what he can when he can.

Strong Psychic Defenses.

#120
Character:

Code-Name: White Swan
Real Name: Brandon Wainwright
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Sex: Male
Age: 16
Relationship Status: Single
Team Affiliation: Xavier
Position at the School: Student

Appearance:

Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Skin: Mild Caucasian tan
Weight: 357 lbs.
Height: 6'8"
Other: A rather muscular young man who looks older than he is because of his size and build. His lips can be very pink some days, which is a source of embarassment on occassion. He speaks and walks very softly. Despite his size, he manages to be fairly quiet. Not like, ninja stealth level, or anything - he just doesn't make a lot of noise or anything. He hasn't finished growing yet, either.

Date Of Birth: Jan 11, 1994
Place Of Birth: York, Ontario, Canada
Citizenship: Canadian (Maple Leaf Forever, yo)

Information:

Personality: Brandon is rather shy and withdrawn young man. He wants to fit in and be liked, and this can lead him to doing things that would categorically be deemed unwise. The rush of short term approval means a great deal to him, and to experience would be the headiest experience he's ever had in his young life. Although he isn't really dishonest, Brandon can be rather prone to telling people things that they want to hear even if they aren't true (as best as he can figure out what others want to hear, at any rate). He's pretty socially inept, and it's not hard to see. There's a lot of self-esteem issues for Brandon to plow through, but it's not really anything worse than the typical teenager and he really sees no reason to burden anyone else with his problems. Most of the time he's just mellow, quiet, and there.

He doesn't really understand on more than a basic logical level why mutants are hated and feared. It doesn't make a great deal of sense to him, but he generally doesn't think about it, and when he does, he tends to think, "well, at least I'm not Spider-Man." Xavier's ideals seem pretty good, but Brandon's really got his eyes on one man: Captain America. Brandon dreams of a day when he could use his powers to benefit humanity and the world alongside the living legend, although deep down he doubts he's got a shred of what it takes.

Background: Brandon was born in a hospital. It was a routine birth, and there was nothing really out of the ordinary about it. He was a little on the heavy side, but his father's side tended to run big because of Russian and Swedish ancestry. And his childhood was, really, fairly routine. He was enrolled in French immersion and kept up with that in public school. His grades were fair, but not exceptional. Brandon played that most stereotypically Canadian of sports, hockey, but did not really like it all that much. His performance was nothing special, either. His parents were proud of him as only parents could be, although they always encouraged him to try harder and do better.

When Brandon was twelve, going on thirteen, his powers started manifesting. He was fairly lucky, as these things went: there was no violent explosion or otherwise destructive display that caused so many mutants to have to go on the lamb and become pariahs. Brandon just started growing really fast, and he started getting really big. He ate almost constantly to fuel the changes going on in his body. Of course, his parents were rather concerned, and brought him to see doctors. Brandon saw doctor after doctor, who all performed test after test. They took samples of all varieties, although by the time Brandon was thirteen and a half there was a lot of difficulty drawing blood - his skin was proving to be resistant to the needles used for humans the level of force the average MD could exert. This put aside various diagnoses such an overactive pituitary gland. Genetic tests returned a positive presence of the X gene, and the doctors calmly informed Brandon's parents that their son was a mutant. Brandon's parents were devastated, as neither of them were mutants themselves (it seemed particularly impossible to them that this could happen, and they never quite accepted the doctors' explanations as to how it could transpire), and the doctors told them that based on the leading academic literature Brandon would never have a normal life, and that it was very possible he could develop dangerous sociopathic tendencies. The articles that formed the basis of the latter conclusion have since generally been debunked, or discarded on the basis of shoddy science.

Nevertheless, Brandon's parents decided to isolate him from society. He was home schooled, and saw how his parents walked around on eggshells around him. The lack of love he felt rather more keenly, particularly at a time when the changes in his body were new and frightening. As far as controlling his powers, Brandon made very little real effort to develop it, and he would carelessly break common household items. He gradually developped sufficient control so as to be able to eat with metal utensils, ceramic plates, and drink from plastic cups. It was a very dull and listless existence for the young man, and he tended to escape into the internet. He would sometimes ask his parents to pick up books from the library for him, invariably some history tome that might contain some kernel of new knowledge about Captain America.

Brandon's invitation to the Xavier Institute was a relief to his parents. The young man himself was rather ambivalent about it, after two years or thereabouts of being confined to a basement in essentially self-imposed exile (it's not like his parents could've really stopped him if he'd wanted to go to public school, but then, Brandon didn't feel the need for such a grand rebellion - the extent of his teenage rebelliousness generally amounted to not doing word math problems until he felt good and ready beyond perhaps one or two incidents). The invitation came by mail, and Brandon's parents cautiously broached the subject to him. It really broke him to see his parents so desperately hoping that he would consent to go away. But he was a good son, and he went.

Mother:

Name: Rebecca Wainwright, nee Sterns
Race: Human

Father:

Name: Herbert Wainwright
Race: Human

Other Relatives:

Thomas Eddington Wainwright - Paternal Grandfather. Once gave Brandon a toy train. It was painted red and fashioned of metal.

Powers:

Superhuman Strength: Brandon can manage lifting up a truck and hurling it a hundred feet without much trouble - the trick's getting a grip on the truck that'll take it, really. He can press up to 20 tons pretty easily, and if he pushes it he can add another 5. He can jump a lot higher than normal people, and he can run really fast, too. If he really hoofs it, he can do about 50 kmph, for short periods, and can maintain 30 kmph pretty comfortably for longer periods. He can leap about five stories with a running start, and about ten feet from a standing position.

Superhuman Durability: Brandon's generally around rigorously resistant to things. He can take a tank shell and not suffer much beyond light bruising and getting knocked down. He hasn't been sick since his powers manifested, and extreme sensory stimulation probably wouldn't damage him as badly as it would other people. It's pretty tough to tucker him out - he's got good stamina to begin with, and if he pushes himself he'll build it up.

Power Limitations:

Brandon doesn't have a lot of fine control. It's just better for everyone if he doesn't touch anything made out of glass, because unless he devotes an unseemly amount of concentration to it, he's gonna break it. It's probably for the better if he doesn't touch people, too. And he's gonna keep getting stronger the older he gets - with his particular mutation it's not terribly clear if he'll ever really stop getting stronger as time goes by. Stopping once he gets going isn't easy, or pretty to see. Landings after big leaps are pretty hard to watch, too.

Although Brandon's never been sick since his powers manifested, he wasn't exactly in a hazardous environment. Particularly virulent pathogens might affect him, and if his system can't compensate for it he'll probably die - conventional medical treatment is unlikely to be successful: no regular scalpel's going to pierce his skin, his system'd fight outside forces like antibiotics, and it's unclear how he'd metabolize other drugs. Brandon can't seem to become intoxicated - he drank an entire bottle of whiskey once, in a fit of depression, and all it left was a bad taste in his mouth and a bunch of regrets. And none of this really protects his mind against psychic intrusion or attack, although he's probably less likely to suffer physical brain damage. Although he doesn't realize it yet, Brandon's not as receptive to touch as normal people. It's not terribly extreme, but unless someone puts a lot into it, no one's gonna shake him awake. It's been a long time since he's really felt anything.

Hobbies and Interests:

Brandon is keenly interested in anything to do with Captain America.

Balancing equations always seemed fairly fun to Brandon, although he's not really any good at math.

Character:

Code-Name: (optional) Author
Real Name: Adam Hilson
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Sex: Male
Age: 26
Relationship Status: Single
Team Affiliation: Xavier
Position at the School: School Librarian

Appearance:

Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blues
Skin: Fair
Weight: 140
Height: 5’8
Other: A thin, bookish looking young man, Adam is one of those people who just seem to attract bullies. Even the work at Xavier has not bulked him up, leaving him with that same impression of a nervous, retiring young man.
Date Of Birth: August 4th, 1983
Place Of Birth: Oak Valley, Washington
Citizenship: United States

Information:

Personality: An Intelligent, scholarly man, Adam isn’t a zealot in favor of anything. Xavier’s School is a refuge, a place where he can live and be accepted, and more to the point, be useful. Xavier’s vision is very pretty, but Adam isn’t one to believe in anything but what is before him. A skeptic, but one that will gladly help Xavier along.

Adam’s first instinct in reaction to conflict is to retreat, something he lets rule him most of the time. The Library is his haunt, and taking care of the books his occupation. He doesn’t abandon friends, but he isn’t afraid to voice the notion that discretion is the better part of valor, and courageous last stands tend to end up with you dead, and your enemy alive.

Background: Adam was born in a suburb of Seattle, and spent most of his life there. His parents were affluent professionals, and while Adam wasn’t incredibly rich, he wanted for little through out his childhood. Except for bullies and such to stop picking on him, and such, of course. The Nerdy kid with glasses, always carrying a book. An irresistible target.

Looking back, he realizes he wasn’t all that different from anyone else. His life wasn’t a succession of pain and misery, or anything like that. He had fun, did well in school. Read a lot. But no one likes being bullied, and it didn’t make it any better that other people had to deal with it as well. His worst tormenter was one of his Cousins, a Soccer player. He picked on Adam to prove that nerdiness didn’t flow in the blood, or some such nonsense. Adam had friends of course, people a lot like him. One of them was a cute girl, Alicia Simms, who for no reason any of them could figure out, hung out with them. Adam had a huge crush on her.

In the end, it was bullying the drew out his powers. Not the act itself. The siren call of Retributive justice. He was staring at the back of his cousin, devising ways he might repay his treatment while he waited for class to start. It was harmless, something most people indulge, even if not indicative of any of the nicer parts of the Human soul. One image in particular, of his tormenter being swarmed in Spiders, filled him with silent glee. He knew his cousin was deathly afraid of them, something he hid. He chuckled, then watched as mass of spiders appeared out of nowhere, appearing to swarm up his cousins leg, the teenager screaming in terror. He wasn’t the only one. In fact, the only one that wasn’t scared was Adam. Because he knew they were only tricks of the light. And that he controlled them.

It took a few months for Adam to get a semblance of control of his powers. His cousin had a nervous breakdown during the period, and the mysterious incident dampened the school year, but life moved on. And so did Adam’s plans. He was smart enough to know he was a Mutant. Not that difficult to see, given his abilities. The real question was… what to do with them? Adam had an answer. Revenge.

Mysterious things started happening around the school. Whispers that it was haunted, cursed. And his bullies broke, one by one, by one. The more Adam did it, the sweeter it got. It would have kept going, if it hadn’t been for an accident. One of his ‘pranks’ got out of hand. To many people, in a crowded area. The crowd started running, and some of the slow or unlucky ones got trampled. Nobody died, but there were a lot of broken bones, and a few people had to go to the Hospital. Adam was one of those caught in the rush. So was Alicia. He got off with a few nicks and cuts. Alicia had a broken arm.

Adam started realizing what he was doing, and how wrong it was. That for all his claims of ‘justice’ he was just a bully. But far worse then his cousin, or any of them had ever been. His abilities gave him the chance to be. He was a Senior in high school at this point, and his poking around in various places online had brought him to the attention of the Xavier Institute. He enrolled there, and graduated a few years ago, with a Bachelors in Library Science, Adam wanting a sensible, quiet, and private career. Professor Xavier hired him afterwards as the Librarian for the School, where he has remained sense.

Powers:
Major: Illusion – Adam’s skills are a variant of Telepathy, if an odd one. He can enforce a… vision of the world upon you. A Spider Crawling on your leg. A Solid Wall. A Flash of light. All five sense will tell you it is there. This has a number of applications.

Minor: Cloaking. The reverse application of his, he can make things that are there appear not to be. The limitation is, Adam’s Illusions are controlled by Adam. He cannot account for every action taken by someone else. Cloaking anyone but himself is extraordinarily difficult unless they are standing still.

Power Limitations:
Major: It isn’t real, for the most part. No matter how that knife wound he seems to inflict upon you seems to hurt, nothing is real about it. A significgantly strong will can ignore them. Someone smart can figure out that they are illusions. Someone immune to Telepathy is entirely unaffected by them.

Hobbies and Interests: Reading, Computer Games, thinking about pursuing his Masters
