Okies, is Jasmine set and whatnot then?
Yep, I'd say so, if you want to leave the occupation field unset for now--just wanna make sure before I move the profile over.

At the Mariner's apartment complex
I ain't no candle in the wind
I'm the bolt, the lightning, the thunder
Kind of girl who's gonna make you wonder
Who you are and who you been.

Pardon me for seeming dense as a marble column, but what do you mean by straight friendly exactly?

It just means that straight characters (and straight players) are welcome to join in on the fun. :-) I didn't want it to seem exclusive based on having only an LGBT tag in the title.

(And it's also a lol-poke at the GLBTQA-friendly tags, 'cause I like to laugh at everything.)

I see. I was curious. This honestly seems like the only one where any of my characters might get a single line of dialogue at the rate things have been going.

Lyron

Things have been that slow, huh? You're more than welcome to join if you want. :-)

Okay, with GM approval, I believe my guys are complete! If you need me to change anything and/or pluck them from page 7 and repost them here, just say the word. I should have my business plan for Stitched posted up in the next day or two.

Cheers,
Tony

Man, it's almost odd seeing Cincinnati mentioned in something roleplay related. I feel like it's only a city someone in the tristate would think about it. XD

Anywho, they both look great! They're up in the thread now.

Instead of obsessing on the person you want to be, focus on who you DON'T want to be. It's much easier to not do certain things than to break your head on some ideal of yourself.

When the dust settles, you may find out you've become who you were supposed to be all along.

Elizabeth Monroe

Nicknames: Liz, Beth, Lizzie.
Age:19
Sex:Female
Birthday:April 13, 1995
Height: 5'2
Sexual Orientation: Bi
Occupation: Barista at Sinfully Sweet/Escort for the right price
Residence: 207 Parker Commons

Appearance Details: Liz has a tattoo of a python that wraps around her torso, the head of which rests beneath her right breast and the tail at her left hip. She has her tongue pierced.

Personality: Liz has been described as a bitch with a heart of gold, but anyone that truly knows her knows that she's far from a bitch. Very loving, Liz is generous and can be honest to a fault sometimes. She is protective of her friends and those who are seen as weaker by others. She can be cynical at times. She is very smart. She's the youngest of a set of twins and loves her sister dearly. She doesn't talk much or open up to people easily but once she opens up, she tends to never shut up.

Bio: Liz comes from the union of a grade school teacher and a lawyer, but never really fit in around where she comes from. A small town in Louisiana, the population there is under 2,000. She'd always yearned to get out but didn't want to leave her twin behind. Liz and her sister had always had this kind of 'us against the world' type relationship. She fell in love with a woman 10 years her senior and at 16, she ran away with her lover. For one year, everything was perfect but one day she finds that her lover is the madam of a very lucrative and secretive brothel. Instead of being disgusted, Liz was intrigued and soon became one of Katherine's biggest assets and Liz loved every minute of it.

She was devastated at the news that her lover and mistress had been diagnosed with breast cancer. At 18, that was a lot to handle but she cared for the woman she loved until her death. She was still grieving her loss when she moved back home and readied herself for the expected reaction she had always seen in her mind. She could handle the look of betrayal on her parents' facesbut she didn't know what she'd do if she saw it on her sister's face. Finding that her sister no longer lived there, Liz made her way to Indigo Way.

Trying to stay away from the calling that she'd found in her old life, but she wanted extra income so she started being a high class escort again. She only graced people who had money with her services and hasn't had a serious relationship since Katherine.

She hasn't really spoken to her sister since she ran off because she feels kind of ashamed and really guilty for leaving her. After a while, Liz convinced her twin to come to Chicago.

Likes: Old movies, spicy food, any type of music, sweets, coffee, dancing, wine.
Dislikes: Arrogance, beer, being broke, more than a little cockiness.

Ons: Bondage, a little pain, being seduced, romance.
Offs: Bathroom play, bestiality. Pretty much everything else is a go.

Additional Details: For the right price, Liz will do pretty much anything sexual.

Ryder Monroe

Nicknames: Rough Ride
Age: 19
Sex: F
Birthday: April 13, 1995
Height: 5'2"

Sexual Orientation: Usually aggressively lesbian, but not against a quickie with a guy if she's bored.

Occupation: Hustler/couch surfer/variable

Residence:  Floating; staying with her sister Liz until they kill each other

Appearance Details: Both ears multi-pierced.  Right eyebrow threaded. Both nipples pierced, usually wears a chain. Web of right hand studded.  Tattoo. Right Arm: DI$$ENT. Tattoo, full backpiece: Death and Maiden. Tattoo, pubic: Abandon All Hope. Tattoo right thigh: black rose briar/red blood drops.

Prefers ratty men's clothes or heavily studded punk-style leather gear.

Personality: At least on the surface, Ryder is every bit the bitch her twin is not. Combative, aggressive, with a violent temper and a deliberately provocative manner of speaking (unless she's trying to get something from you), she's the very picture of damaged youth.  She even carries a switchblade in her boot, for God's sake, and has had to use it once or twice. Oddly, though, nearly every temporary lover she's used and left, while hurt and angry, tends to be somewhat sympathetic towards her, so clearly there's something more to her.

Bio:

It's nearly impossible these days to believe, let alone guess, that Ryder is Elizabeth's twin. A fair bit skinnier, she's cultivated a far harder-edged look and personality.

It's not surprising.  Liz's decamping with her lover made their well-meaning but shocked and scandalized parents clamp down on their 'remaining' daughter. Ryder (then Lauren; she legally changed it when she turned 18) stood it for about a year, and then cracked, staging a rebellion just this side of open war.

Fed up with all the 'nice' boys her parent kept pushing at her, Ryder dove into the Rave set and flaunted a series of one-night or short-term lesbian flings, often not even speaking to her folks for weeks. Along the way, she acquired a number of piercings and tats and a taste for recreational drugs, coke in particular. It's as if she was trying to take a very large hammer to not only her parents' idea of what their daughter 'should' be, but also her sister's happy, 'traditional' domestic life with her older mistress.

She dropped off her family's radar completely for a while, crashing with friends when she could, working menial jobs, stripping, and moving from one older pickup to another, hustling at clubs- anything to buy food and party supplies, and to fill the black hole in her heart and behind her eyes. Finally, one night, blitzed out of her head, she called her sister's old cel number, and was shocked when she actually answered.  They didn't have much to say, but what was said convinced Ryder to come to Chicago, at least for a visit.

Neither of them is exactly sure how that's gonna work. Ryder is a rage-fueled party machine, with more than a few serious issues, but she hopes there's still some shred of the connection she once had with her 'Other Her'...

Likes: Roughish sex, voyeurism, loud parties, older women, being buzzed as often as possible, metal and ink, being irresponsible.

Dislikes: Girly girls, pushy guys, being asked to explain herself, talking about 'feelings', being rejected, music that doesn't make your ears bleed.

Ons: While she's not a 'whip me, hurt me' type, there's very little else Ryder won't do or let be done to her in bed.

Offs: Anything scattish, anything that draws more blood than a tat needle.

*giggles*

Okay, now I am seriously glad I declined making Liz Monroe's sister. NW, Ryder is ... HNNNG! Yummy!

Please check out my latest A/A post.
I would rather watch a movie then have dinner than have dinner then watch a movie!

*giggle* The funny thing is I am SOOOOOO not like Ryder in any way...and I'm a lot quieter than Eiryn, though her personality shares a few bits with mine.

...so is it the ink or the attitude that gets to you, Chrys? ;D

My characters never are like me. I couldn't and wouldn't write a character that has a lot on common with myself. ~chuckles~ Would creep me out. Plus, no challenge, either. The most my characters have in common with myself is the fact that they're male and most of them are gay. That's that. :D

Nowherewoman

*nod* Many people have said the same thing. I've never, AFAICR, drawn a character completely from myself, but I do find that many of my shards tend to be based on riffs on or exaggerations of certain parts of my real personality, experiences, or whatever.  Ryder is not- she's FAR too over the top to be me...I hope... >.>.

~nodnod~ I like to write characters that have little in common with me. Fortunately! I mean..I have written a murderous sociopath in the past, I'm currently writing some bad guys with guns. The less a character has in common with me, the more of a challenge it is. ~snickers~ Besides...writing myself would be...terribly boring.

We often add certain things to characters. And if it only is favourite food, a favourite colour, etc. Small things.

Lyron

O.O
Damn, those twins. I think I'm in love.
They'll be up once I'm off of work. You're welcome to post with them whenever, though.
