We are Humans inheriting the power of different gods, to become the New Gods. Whether we choose to assume the mantle of Godhood to be worshiped as gods or just assume their powers is our choice. Mythological gods from any Pantheon, even "mythologies" and I stress the quotation mark strongly, such as Hinduism or Gnosticism is encouraged, if not just allowed.

There will be.  Characters have two parents but are successors of another deity.  . . So in effect they receive the powers of three deities.
