*Disclaimer: I am not an actual Time Lord, unfortunately. ;o

I am Thete, and I am a 24 year old Liege. I work in a small museum in the North East of England that shall remain nameless due to privacy reasons. I work between Front of House and the Marketing department, which is mostly just me. Outside of my work, and outside of E I play the odd games which I will also talk about here.
Pictures will be added where I can, because everyone loves piccies!

This blog is designed to show one year in my life, mostly so that I'll just start blogging about events in my life again. Some days might be rubbish, some days more exciting.

Comments and PMs are welcome!

Today, I held a duck! As part of #museumweek, which we're taking part in (or, rather, I am taking part in) I've been asking our staff about their favourite parts of the museum. One of our apprentices chose the duck pen, and wanted a photo with a duck. So, in the end I got a duck thrust upon me. Very soft, very scary to hold in fear from hurting her.
Also was brave and stroked one of our donkeys. They've just returned to us now that the warmer weather has returned.

Outside of work, I got hold of Sarah Millican tickets. I'm seeing her in her home town, which I'm very excited about. They were a battle to get due to the website having glitches, but hey ho. By 10.20am, I was a little lighter in the wallet but a hell of a lot more excited.

Today's update!
26th March 2015
Unexpected day off after being asked yesterday to cover Saturday for one of our farm staff members who works FoH on Saturdays, and hasn't taken any time off. I covered for her last Saturday and ended up working one too many days in doing so, but I'm kind. So yeah.
Spent the majority of the day playing Runescape, which I'm currently aiming for 120 fishing in. Lot of afking. They've released a shark cosmetic and exp bonus on their pay2win Treasure Hunter, so a lot of yesterday evening was spent sulking over how I'll never win it and how I want to look like a shark. Almost cried, was tired, what the fuck brain.

This evening I went to a new Man vs Food inspired restaurant. Very tasty, had pulled brisket sandwich with gorgeous chips and garlic bread.
They also served my drink in a jar.
A FUCKING JAR.
Highlight of my day. /sad

Today also marks ten years since Doctor Who started airing once more. I was a fan prior to the renewal, and I remember the trailers airing on BBC One and getting progressively more excited as the month went on. Now, just over ten years ago, I'd seen the first episode of the first new series. The first proper broadcast of my time, since I was born the year after it went into hiatus.
Gutting.
Haven't missed an episode since. Adored it then and didn't care who knew it, still do.

27th & 28th March 2015

Ended up having a bit of a busy night last night so I didn't get to update. Yesterday was just a slow day. After the ridiculous almost crying over cosmetic items on Thursday night, my partner went on a mission to get me looking like a shark. And it paid off! Took a trial out with Now TV, which is bloody wonderful for films and I'm taking full use of it.
By the 28th of March, bonus fishing exp and shark cosmetic! All thanks to my boyfriend's mission to not make me sad.

Today was work, productive day, coming to the end of #museumweek which I'm a little sad about. Planning stuff for next week, now. Newsletter stuff and so on. The rest of the evening will be spent watching TV, fishing and the usual.

I have done nothing productive at all today. I have been food shopping, I bought some new Mr Men socks and some awesome underwear, and that is all.
Continuing the fishing escapade on Runescape, coming up to my first major goal of 50m fishing exp. Excited. Watched The Devil Wears Prada for the first time, and cheated by getting a takeaway for tea. Tasty chicken kebab.

Back at work tomorrow, #museumweek is over so it's time to play with Photoshop for the first time, and try and get some college work done.

30th March 2015

Work time. Started with an hour long fight with Illustrator on my slow as balls new work laptop. It hadn't been used in forever when I got it, so there's no surprise it's awful. Should've really put it on the radio laptop I was using before being given the work one.
Alas, never mind.
Bossed apprentices about today to get them to try and do some college work. It didn't really work. It's not my problem at the end of the day. Got some newsletter done, scribbled off some planning emails and had some training this afternoon as I'm taking over the leaflet and advertising from tomorrow. Now have full access to the blogs, so I intend to harass people to write blogs.

Also had an exciting journey into Hebburn, where I've never been before to visit the printers that do our leaflets. It was thrilling.

Easter Runescape quest done, nice little pet earned. Should be hitting 50m tomorrow, excited for that. The rest of today will be spent with Now TV and filmmmms.

31st March 2015

Day off today. Popped out to get some things for tea tomorrow, played Runescape until about three, when I popped into work to say goodbye to someone from the education department who has been working there for fourteen years. She was wonderful, good to work with and she did part of the marketing, which I've taken over from, now.
Scary.
We had cake, presents were given, another member of staff is leaving and I'll miss him... He was good fun, crass and crude but really funny. They'll both be missed. I finally got hold of an office key for where I have claimed my office to be (though I might move if there's desk space free now) so that's exciting, too.

And I've also just got 50m fishing exp this evening! Far too excited about this.

My other colossal news is that I've registered for my degree this evening.
Eep.

1st April 2015

Colossal fight with the sodding newsletter at work today. Spent the last part of this afternoon fighting with poorly worded things.
In future, I'm going to rewrite everything from scratch. ARGH.

Asides from that... Slow laptop this morning, hadn't turned on until I'd returned back from having my injection done. I've got B12 anaemia, and thus I have injections every 10 weeks. I often suffer fatigue when they're coming up. Was expecting to have some training today, but it was rescheduled until tomorrow after some emails were passed around. Instead, I got to do some training with our volunteer co-ordinator and apprentice volunteer co-ordinator. As I got access to blogs on Monday, I'm now going to harass everybody to write some blogs, because they are wonderful tools to interact with our audience.

Caused some church drama today. Youngest apprentice let me walk all the way down to the church to grab their opening hours. Was not happy with him. >_> On the upside, I took a pretty photo of the church.

We're also now on summer opening hours, so we're open 10 til 5 now, so later hours when on the desk. Which is tomorrow. Longer days begin!

Spending the rest of my evening fishing on RS, and playing with the OpenUni website as I'm looking to enrol on my degree now.
Scary.

2nd April 2015

Spent a great deal of today walking. I walked to the church and back. I walked to the bottom of the farm and back. Walk walk walk, photo photo photo. Was supposed to be on the desk but I barely spent any time on there. So mobile it's insane. Managed to finally have a good stroke of Charlie who seems to have stopped ignoring me now. Yay.

Had a chat with the boss about a few things. Any support I need is open to me during my degree, which is great. If we were a bigger museum I'd ask for the funding, but alas, we are not, and it's not a stress that needs to be escalated.
Planning things with a meeting and training for Monday. Easter activities start tomorrow so it's really been all go go go today.

Been playing Runescape since I got home, and watching films. My evenings are incredibly repetitive.

Late to bed, early to rise unfortunately. Lazy day. Started with a shower, and watched TV. Played Runescape from about lunchtime, boyfriend got 99 Herblore this afternoon so I went to go and see that. Awesome stuff.

Headed up to Newcastle to the new bowling alley to do some bowling for the leaving do of the woman who left earlier this week. I started off poorly, but ramped it up to something awesome in the end. Amazing stuff. I had three rounds of 0 and I ended at 51.
And came third.
Wtf.
Sat for food at 8, had a gorgeous pulled pork sandwich with chips in a sodding jar. CHIPS IN A JAR. Much fun and laughter was had by all. We caused some slight drama by 15 of us turning up when it was only booked for 10, but that's generally how it goes with us lot as a workplace as it is.
I left after we'd finished our meal and had sat around for a bit, because I'm a lightweight and I prefer home.Brought home two people because I am lovely, dropped them off. Got home just after ten. Tired as hell, now.
Really going to miss those who have left us. Going to be so weird not seeing them every day, every week. We'll keep in touch, of course, but... Sad. Shame. D:

The rest of my evening will be spent... You guessed it... Finishing up some fishing, and TV. Yay for consistency!
Also appear to be collecting pictures of drinks in jars. New favourite things.

Late to bed, late to rise! Woke up late to an email from the boss, so I shifted some of the website off before scoffing a mini pizza and arriving late to my eye test appointment. My eyes are getting worse and more short sighted, so I'm getting new glasses.
Yay.
No surprises there.
New ones are very similar to my current ones.

Went to a fundraiser do this afternoon with the mother to keep her happy. Was miles away, we got lost, it was fun. Found it after ages, then proceeded to eat a gammon sandwich, which was nice, bought a mug, a woolly derpy duck to sit on my desk at work, and a plethora of shortbread and gingerbread and cakes. I also got cat pawprints dotted up my arm because why not.
Fun!

Tesco for tea and music and Runescape this evening. As normal.

On a sidenote, my functional skills certificates arrived from college this afternoon. It's only taken almost a year. Rattled off a quick email to our council correspondent about getting them (it was far too excitable).

It seems Sundays are my incredibly unproductive days. I watched Look Who's Talking Too this morning, bloody love that film, and Gangsta Granny afterwards. Then I hopped onto Runescape to fish. Looked at degree module choices with the boyfriend, and then we watched some telly.

I've been craving a curry for weeks, so I had a curry and he had a chinese for tea, so all is well with the world. The cat paws are sadly washed off my arm now.

Fishing for the rest of the evening, with maybe a film. I ended up going to bed earlier than I wanted to last night due to wrist pain from bowling (I R Weak) on Friday. Watched Tangled and nodded off. Sadly don't have the luxury of being able to stay up late tonight, as I've got work tomorrow.
Three days of work this week before my holidays kick in.

Oh my god what was today.

Sunny bank holiday Monday, reasonably busy morning which included decorating the front desk with little toy chicks. And then taking them around various parts of work to explore and take photos of.
Snapped up a breaded cod fillet and focaccia toastie for lunch, which was gorgeous, and headed out to take photos for Facebook after lunch.

Honestly, it was such a wonderful day. Snapped up lots of photos for Facebook of our activities, headed back up to the desk at 2, got a rush on for about half an hour, and then I went back out for more photos as obviously as we had more people on site, we had more people doing activities.
On my way back up, I stumbled upon our farm team watching one of the donkeys. His breathing was fast and heavy, and so a vet was called and he had to be moved to a makeshift holding stable. This meant leashing him and leading him up the farm. I ended up acting as a barrier to keep kids and people away from him as they had fun getting him inside. The other donkey needed to be in sight so he didn't freak out.
Sociable creatures.

After that, I uploaded everything to Facebook, and we discussed some drama that happened between colleagues personal lives at the weekend, and cashed everything up. Very, very successful day. Knackered, though, with all the walking.

Tonight, you guessed it, films and Runescape! Just hit 1500 total level, yay. On the subject of films, watched the latest Transformers film before bed last night. God, it was shocking.

Yesterday was horrendous, too. Bloody hell. I had a very late night because I wanted to watch a documentary about trans kids. I suffered for the late night.

Started off at college, which was alright. Got some work done, got some planning done. We've only got a few sessions left so I'm going to have to push for a few visits and get things signed off. None of this is the fault of me, this is all their side being slow.
Psch.

I left and headed in to work at midday, getting changed and some banner work done for the website with super new paid for Photoshop. It's the first time I've ever used paid for Photoshop, so it's exciting. I spent an hour and forty minutes in a meeting learning about digital stories and how to develop them, so developing ideas and things regarding that and various ideas to put in place around blogging and promotion.

The night was spent with telly. Telly and tireds.

Today is my last day of work for the week, I've got the rest off as a holiday. My parents are going away for a few days so it's just me, the boyfriend and the cats. Looking forward to it.
As such, today was a busy day of work to make sure everything was sorted whilst I'm away. Started off with a promotional plan and I've been invited into the exhibitions meeting (Scary) on Monday. I've decided to do Exhibition Stories as a blog for all exhibitions we have in the coming year, which includes photos of the exhibitions being installed. It's exciting.
Well, to me. But I'm sad.

Compiled all of that together, still needs a few additions before it goes live. I wrote my newsletter, tidied up my claimed desk, started work on Facebook banners to fit our events, had a wander to take a few more photos on the farm and of the exhibition set up. Saw Charlie! He purred at me. Gorgeous cat.

Had a chat about more blog stuff, got my newsletter sent, sent a few emails and I left after organising a few photo permission slips for the rest of the week.
AND THEN HOME. Holidays have started! Tonight will be spent with telly, Runescape, and sleep sleep sleeeeep!

I'm on work holiday and I've been spending a lot of time with my boyfriend, so I've been lax on updates here. Not that I've really been doing much, to be honest.
Yesterday morning was spent fighting with prescription services, and shopping for a few things. Then we played Runescape together and chilled watching telly all night. Also did some washing, which is dull.

Watched Rango, which was a really good film, actually. Really well animated. I heart kids films.

Today we woke up and got up together and watched some telly together, and went out for lunch, picking up some things from Morrisons too, including a USB fan for work. Awesome stuff.
Had takeaway for tea, the most gorgeous chicken burger, and I'm still playing Runescape. Should get 55m exp tonight!
Hoping to stay up later than I managed to do last night.

Another non-eventful day. Spent the day tidying and enjoying what of the peaceful day remained before my parents got back. Discussed some room plans, my boyfriend got 99 Attack on Runescape, and we watched Battle Royale.

Picked up my parents tonight, both seem sulky and so glad to be back. Didn't even get a hello. Wonderful.

Work wise (because I am contactable constantlyyyyyy) I managed to put up our new Exhibition Story blog for Clay Journeys, something that I am reluctant to share because of privacy, but it's still awesome.

Tomorrow is the last day in my holiday block. Blegh.

I meant to post this last night, but I just crashed. Hideously tired.

Sunday was a bit of a non-day. The boyfriend got 99 summoning, and I got a ton of fishing exp on Runescape. I also ordered a Now TV box and a 3 month entertainment pass, so bring on GoT! (Finally)

Yesterday was a bit different, it was back to work. Incredibly busy day. I was on the desk and had a read through our new exhibition catalogue, as we need to have some knowledge of it working on the desk. I'm in a better position than most as I've already written about it for the newsletter, so I'm aware with bits and pieces.
Logged a service call for our shitty work printer today, made a wonderfully relevant GoT related status for the work Facebook.

I spent the afternoon mostly doing some marketing, taking a few snippets and talking to a band that came to perform but didn't have a huge turnout. So I'm now gathering May Day information ready to publicise the hell out of that from next week.

At the end of the day the bloke came to service the printer, which was a nice surprise. I've organised a blog training session with the apprentices, and our review is coming up shortly with the council, which should be wonderful complaining about the college aspect.

Finally went food shopping at home, and watched some telly whilst fishing. Most things become a blur because I was hideously tired, for some reason.

Today I'm picking up my new glasses, and that's about my only plans for the day for now.

Need to get back into a nightly routine. ;o

Picked up my new glasses today. They're slightly stronger than my old pair. As such, and because the frame is different, everything looks a little stranger than what I'm used to. Also cleaner. Still very much getting used to them. I'm short sighted, and it's getting gradually worse as I get older. Woo.

Had a very half productive day. I got from 55 crafting to 76 on Runescape so I could use decorated fishing urns to boost my fishing exp on a daily basis. Worth it, and I gained about 1.2m crafting exp. Just very click intensive, so it cut into my posting rate today.
I did, however, watch The Exorcist for the first time (good film!), World War Z (creepy but good film!) and Bolt, again. Which I love. As well as some misc TV.

Work in the morning. Need to get quite a bit done.

Payday!
Woo!

This means I've paid off my Wii U! Maybe I should get some damn games for the thing.
Anyway.
I started today off brilliantly. Spraying cologne on myself. Normal thing. I'm getting to the bottom of the bottle and it's refusing to come out occasionally, so I squirt it out into the room to get things going.
Except this morning I accidentally squirted my eye.
Awesome.
So I did what I could and drove to work, and it's still sore but otherwise alright. Try to get some work done. Can't see very well. Chalk it up to my new glasses.
After no work and some analysis, I realise it's not just the glasses. So I ask our first aider's opinion, and go through the traumatic experience of getting it washed out with eye wash. Which was hilarious for the pair of us.

I skim about for a bit writing a May Day prep and some blogging tips for training I'm doing next week, and then finally crack on with some proper work. I do my newsletter, take some photos for a planned catalogue of shop items we'll send to schools who can't shop, and I get the newsletter finally sent off.
Then I get on starting our new leaflets which is my big new scary job aaa.
As it turned out I couldn't do much of the back so I sent an email to the boss who set up a really quick meeting for next week which is wonderful.

Also used my wonderfully new and neat desk today! It's super. I also used my equally awesome USB desk fan which I love and it's brill.

Came home to my Now TV box, so Game of Thrones is on the horizon after I set it up tomorrow. It's so diddly and cute I heart it so much.

I'm off tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get a bit of fishing in tonight on Runescape. Making full use of my urns!

(Today's piccie is from our gorgeous new exhibition that I am totally taken with.)

Woke up earlier than I liked to a needy kitten. She was craving attention really badly, so she got attention and cuddles.

Most of my day consisted of helping my boyfriend conduct an experiment for part of his degree. We needed to collect soil samples, so after emptying out a four pack of beans, we were on our way to the park.
The lovely lovely scummy park.
The cans crush easily we found out as we gathered the first sample, and then the second sample a short distance away from the first. Sat around for a bit before going back to the car and to the cliff tops for our second sample. This one involved a long walk down to the cliffs on a gorgeous, gorgeous day. It was warm. The soil was a pain to dig up.

After the hassle of the soil, we went to Wetherspoons for a verrrrrrry late lunch. Was torn between a pulled pork sandwich or fish and chips.
Went with a pulled pork sandwich by the time I got down the stairs. It was very tasty, if not very messy. Had a wander around town for some games, and I popped back to get my glasses adjusted and refitted because fuck them.
They are better now, but still a bit unusual.
Sigh.

Came home and got some writing done, working my way through my Runescape fishing and debating picking up 3DS games I never played the first time round to make it worthwhile getting a new one.

Yesterday there was a lot of helping the boyfriend with his soil experiments. I don't remember if I ever mentioned this, but he's doing a degree in physics, with a mind to focus or specialise in astrophysics. We were going to go out for tea, but in the end our booking was cancelled because of problems with the restaurant, so I was quite disappointed. Ended up having a disappointing tea in the end. Watched The Machinist, revisiting something I haven't seen in a whole number of years. Must've been 2008 when I saw it, the first summer with my boyfriend.

Today I had work, and I got around to responding to the billions of emails  I got yesterday thanks to my phone not picking up work emails. All relating to blogging things, various deadlines and so on. Was late in, had to pick up some sweets for the last few days of our trails.
After almost a year, I finally got my first year apprenticeship certificates. Ridiculous. Have a comment I'd like to place regarding them, I've been awarded units I didn't even hand work in for. Which I'm not complaining about, it's just... Y'know. Niggling as to why we even chose specific units.

Busy work day, came home a bit drained and a bit meh. Went out for a takeaway and I've lazed about, should get 60m fishing exp on Runescape tomorrow. Was hoping to get quite a bit of writing done tonight, and fishing, but it seems that that plan has gone out of the window.

Biggest news of the day is that I've been invited into the team leader meetings from tomorrow, which is a terrifying prospect but pretty awesome.

Aquariums are out on Runescape! I'm thrilled about this, and I spent my evening getting to 63 construction from 41 and have set out to get the fish for the aquarium. This unlocks perks and things to help me with my 120 fishing.

Sneaky morning post!

Went to Specsavers again to get my glasses sorted. AGAIN. They seem to be fine now, my eyes just need to hurry up and stop being lazy about focusing on short distance now. Grabbed stuff from Greggs for lunch. The boyfriend got 99 Thieving on Runescape when he woke up. We always are together for our 99s... It's been a tradition since we got together and started playing in 2008. We were there for each other's firsts.
I popped into work for 3 to sit in on my first Team Leader's meeting. Terrifying prospect, but it was helpful for me in my marketing position.

Was hankering for a Dominos for tea, but ended up having a steak slice and peas, potato waffles and yorkie puds. It was rather nice, and was good fuel for trying to find a few things for my boyfriend's last experiment. Went looking for distilled water (ha) and black mustard seeds. Went to Tesco, where we found neither but I got some cream soda and he got banana mini rolls, and Asda, where we got stuff for tea tonight. Ended up ordering the seeds and a Doctor Who book online because of Amazon's silly £10 ordering thing.
Bleeeeh.

And now I need to get ready for work!

Hideously busy day. Productive, though. Started by giving some training to our apprentices regarding blogging, and had a bit of a sit and think of what I can get them to write.
Getting them to write them is now the hard part.
As a sidenote, it's so unusual training people, given that I was in the position of being trained almost two years ago now.

Had a meeting regarding our Medieval Fair. Almost done the design work on our leaflets and adverts for that, will hopefully be finished by tomorrow.
Looking forward to the Medieval fair. This is the first proper fair I'll be working when I can spend cash. Bring it onnnn.

The rest of the day was spent doing the graphic design work and other bits and pieces, including getting my  newsletter out.

Boyfriend got the go ahead to used Ionised water instead of distilled, so that's helpful and sorted, and they've switched to cress seeds so the mustard seeds might have to be sent back.
Shall see, though.

Yesterday was pretty busy, too. Somebody had cashed our float up wrong for the start of the day... She'd properly fucked up yesterdays cashing up, so that was our first crisis of the day.
Second crisis: Entire curatorial team had been wiped out overnight with a mysterious illness or bug. So that meant the apprentice I was on the desk with had to step in for part of Quiet Day.
Quiet Days is where we hold a number of themed activities for children with special needs. Yesterday's theme was St George's Day.

Got my advert finished a week before deadline, which is awesome. Happy about that. Learnt how to set up one of our digital tables...
And that's about it, really.

I've managed to finish most of my Runescape aquarium, unlocking the baitless fishing perk I was after.

This morning I woke up earlier than I wanted, but I watched Lost River, which I've been waiting to watch for a long time now. I'm hideously biased, of course, because of Matt Smith, but I really enjoyed it. It's clearly an indie film, but the story is interesting, and it was good to watch. Artistic.
Do like.

Aiming for 62.5m fishing exp today. It's looking likely. It's also hideously warm and I hate it.
I do.

Popped up to Newcastle yesterday morning. Grabbed some food and some doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, very very tasty.
This weekend has been fairy slow except for popping for food shopping yesterday. I got a lot of fishing exp, but that's about all. Working through the final few series of Stargate with the boyfriend during our downtime.

Today has been so slow that I haven't even gotten properly dressed. Very, very lazy day. Watched James & The Giant Peach, and I'm watching Labyrinth for the first time. The second Ace Ventura is on after this, so that's this evening sorted.
Tea will be a hopefully nice M&S Spag Bol.

I'm off tomorrow, which is a mess up to my normal routine, but I could do with a rest before what could be an awful Tuesday.

Bloody hell, it's almost May. Time is flying this year. It's ridiculous.

Today... Today I had some wonderful toast for breakfast, and I started off my Student Finance application, which is not as straightforward as it really should be, given that one of the questions is 'Do you want to apply for a tuition loan?'
Yes.
Yes I do, that is why I am on your website.
Dear me.

Picked up the Shadow Drake on Runescape (I spend far too much money on ridiculous shit and I heart pets in games) and he's growing up as I fish, which I'm happy about. Enjoying my nice day off before what could be an awfully busy day tomorrow with work and training in the evening, which I'm planning on finding out more about tomorrow.

Today has been another quiet day, really. Pie for tea and I need to shower, and then that's about it.

Yesterday was hideously busy. I tried to get most of my newsletter written and failed miserably, but made a lot of notes regarding the second meeting I took part in. Taken responsibility of the posers, aaa.
I don't remember much of my work day except that I got away late and I felt awful yesterday night, which has probably been the cause of forgetting most of it.

Today was equally as awfully busy. Went in with a lovely to-do list, left with two things crossed off. Never get anything done when I'm working the desk as well as marketing, it's just a struggle to concentrate. It's necessary, though, so can't complain.
Was going fine until the advert I had made for deadline tomorrow was returned as the magazine staff told me the event is before their publish date.
Doy.
That's what I get for trusting blindly and not double checking. Developed a new one in about an hour, got the newsletter out, left late. But only by ten minutes after cashing up, too.
BOOM PRODUCTIVITY.

Our lovely apprentices also blocked the sink, which was awesome of them.
Sigh.

Had some spicy but gorgeous fajitas for tea, courtesy of the boyfriend, and I'm fishing and will be watching a bit more Stargate tonight. Have also managed to have a catch up chat with the long distance boyfriend (Poly relationship) tonight, we haven't spoken in a while over phone, so that was nice.

Need to drop off May Day flyers at the Library for work tomorrow, and off until Avengers at the IMAX in the evening. Expensive, long way away, but a good night with the boyfriend. Looking forward to it.

Yesterday was quiet, had to pop into town to drop some leaflets off at the library for work. Grabbed some lunch and came home.
Left at 6 to head to the Metrocentre, where we have the North East's only IMAX. There's roadworks right up past the place, so it took forever to get there, but we got there in plenty time.
Plan was to go and see Avengers. Sort of tradition to see the big films up there. ;o
Ironically, to add, two years ago we went to see Iron Man 3 there, and three years ago we went to see the original Avengers there. Same day and everything. So weird!

Had a pulled pork, chicken and cheese burger from Wetherspoons, with some gorgeous onion rings and chips. Boyfriend had a large mixed grill which made him hideously full, but we still wandered around the shops. And I got to see the Lego shop there!
Awesome stuff.

Then it was off to the IMAX to see Avengers, which was a really good film and well worth the money I spent on the damn tickets. 3D seems to have improved since we last went, and now they give out IMAX glasses to keep, not just to lend.

Got home late, got to bed pretty soon after.

Today was even quieter, but it's the start of May!
Woo.
I have literally done nothing productive today.
Not at all.

Another slow day. Aiming to get 1m fishing exp in Runescape today, so it's been non-stop fishing all day. Except for food shopping, and Tesco have finally gotten their burger and bun packs in again, so I'm looking forward to having that for tea at some point this week. ;o

At work tomorrow, hoping it'll be quiet before the storm of a hopefully warm May Day on Monday. Sundays are generally very slow days anyway.

It was pissing down this morning. Expected a relatively quiet Sunday at work, but nothing prepared me for how quiet we actually were.
Jesus christ it was terrible. Our first customers appeared at 2pm, and our last at 3 minutes before closing time.
Which I don't mind, but it just drags out a slow day into a slower one.

Managed to get a fair bit done, though. Catalogued and organised all of the blogs I had received for my deadline. Updated our monthly goings on blackboard for the farm, updated the website, did some social mediaing... Started work on the shop catalogue.
All of these things I'll be able to do properly when I'm back in my office from next week, as a good friend and staff member is returning from maternity leave and is back on the desk, and I'll be relocating myself to marketing unless otherwise needed.
Which is awesome because I can finally sit down and crack on on a proper long time basis.

Hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so that our village will clear up as all of the May Day stuff will be going on down there.
Aaaa.

Had some gorgeous burgers courtesy of the boyfriend tonight. Tasty tasty. Looking to get 70m fishing exp this week, which is pretty damn exciting for me. I've decided that I'm probably going to push straight for 200m, but relax my gains after I get my master fish cape. So if I want to take a break, I won't feel guilty for doing so.

Bright sunny day for May Day! Which was wonderful. Spent a lot of time flitting between reception and on photo duty. Was mostly on reception to help the returning staff member get used to everything again, but she was all good.
That and the boss told me to just go take photos.

Wore a flower crown for most of the day. I was roped into doing some Maypole dancing, which was the one thing I wanted to avoid. In the end, I actually enjoyed it, which was surprising. I spent a good hour and a bit outside in the afternoon, did some stonecarving, took a bunch of photos.
Something I should've realised months ago is that I have a proper camera, why don't I just use that for bloody photos instead of my phone.

Doy.
Jesus. Idiot.
Anyway!

Really good day, really enjoyed today, and we made quite a fair bit today. Which was also good. Tomorrow is (if our lecturer has remembered...) a college day, and we're at work. So I don't have far to go, which is awesome.

Phew.
These past two days have been manic. Hell, this is proving to be a hideously busy week. I knew it would be, but damn. It really is proving to be more than I expected.

Yesterday I had my college session at work, which worked in my favour as it was less for me to travel, better for me to get some units completed, and I could make it to the weekly meeting on time.
Naturally, our lecturer forgot. So she had to make her way down.
Wonderful.
Delivered a tour to the people in my class, it was awkward but that was that. My assessor did not drop down which is unfortunate as I really need to fucking see him.
It's bordering on ridiculous. We have one session left and he hasn't visited me in the entire time I've been at my venue.

Boyfriend spent the evening tearing through his work so I watched junk on TV. I'm addicted to crime documentaries at the moment.

Today I had a clear plan of what I needed to get out of the way by the end of the day. Had a meeting regarding transition and training from January, had a meeting about the local credit union, and had my apprentice review also.
The more emails I picked up during the day, the longer my to do list grew. It went from one that had achievable goals to one that I had to prioritise.
In the end, a few things lost out.
No biggie.
Transition interview went well, this is regarding how we function as a museum and how we are growing into a co-op. Apprentice review went well, voiced concerns and found out some things. These are very much a formality now, I have no issues.

Managed to get pieces done on the website but not everything I wanted to so that'll be Saturday's job, got one leaflet made up and sent to print, got my newsletter finished proofed and sent, and did a few things the director wanted me to do.
Tomorrow I have a day off which is wonderful, even though I'm going in on the evening (Might as well go and live in one of our replica Anglo-Saxon huts this week...) for part of a mini-module being delivered by a local university. It's also the election tomorrow and I am hideously excited for all of the election coverage on the BBC tomorrow night because I am sad as dicks.
I'll be so happy if Labour get back in and the scum get out.

We went to Asda late at night to get some stationary to help him organise his revision. I'm a stationary whore so I couldn't resist.
Also watched far to much of The Matrix before bed.

Slept the entire night through last night, which is sodding amazing. Must've been bloody tired. Couple of drama related things happened, we're losing an apprentice to another venue (Politics, sigh) so I'm hoping I don't have to go back on the desk as I can't really afford to with the amount of work I have to do.

We looked at bone casts and what bones go through during growth and injuries on skulls and so on. Learnt quite a lot, really enjoyed it.
Popped to Tesco on the way home and picked up a tasty pasta bake and some wonderful garlic bread.

My mother has a new car. Giving it a few weeks (or days) before somebody breaks and one of us has to park out on the street. Bring on the hilarious arguments of car moving late at night.

Been to work. Slow day, busier than expected given that we're free next weekend, though. Tried out some veggie Anglo-Saxon stew, which was... Brave of me, and some gorgeous, gorgeous bread cooked over our fire. Cons of this included heading into the mead hall with the fire on, and stinking of smoke for the rest of the day.
Fleece could do with a wash, but I can't see that happening any time soon so I've sprayed it like crazy in the hopes the smell goes away.
Bread was worth the smell.

Looking out for the new rota, curious about what days I'll be in next week but I'm probably going to have another week of living there.

So I had the week from hell last week, that lasted right through until Thursday. It wasn't fun. Not at all.

My car broke on Monday evening. I left work and got in it to start, and the engine just ticked over. And over. And over.
Ended up in the green shed waiting for a lift. My dad was convinced it was the key, and convinced it was the key.
So, went home, went back the next day to try the key and see my assessor for college. Key did not work, keys went away to get reprogrammed. He knows a guy from Nissan who could come take a look and that was that.
Still sad over car.
On the bonus, I am getting paid for working Tuesday given that somebody rang in sick and my boss asked if I wanted to work, so I said yes. Of course.

Wednesday was one of the worst days of my week.
Guy arrived, instantly said it was not the key. No, didn't think it was. After many attempts and looking and fiddling, he diagnosed it.
Timing belt stretched. £450+ replacement fee, or new car. Given that my Micra is an 03 reg, isn't in the best condition anyway, new car seemed to be the way to go. But still no car, so... Sad times.
Night was okay, started looking at used cars which was great. Exciting. And then my boyfriend gets the dreaded text we've been expecting for a good few months now.
His dog at home, right across the country, is going to get put down in two weeks after his medication runs out, because he's too ill.
Cue crying. Copious amounts of it.

Thursday I went to work to see off one of my friends. The assistant curator is leaving, she's off down south for a new job. Her perfect job. I remember her finding it. It's sad, she was only a month older than me and we worked together quite a lot during my first placement. Liked my jokes and puns. D:
Our nannas, a group of ladies who come and use our conference room to knit on Wednesdays, put on a buffet for her. Many foods were had.

Thursday evening and my dad decided to be a colossal cock over this car situation. He suggested I lease a car, essentially paying for one on finance. I can't afford that. He didn't accept it. Big argument, ended up going out. Saw some rabbits in the park with the boyfriend. That was nice. Went to bed, really fucking fed up.

Friday. I was asked to go to work to speak to the high ups at the Heritage Lottery Fund who had come to visit us. The meeting went really well, got a nice compliment from the deputy leader of the council who said I was professional and myself, which was hard. Was happy about that.
I left later than expected after doing a few more things for people, went home, fully prepared for a fight in the evening. I had a gorgeous tea of pork ribs, and then returned to the car talk, where my dad agreed to pay finance on a new car for me. Which I couldn't really turn down, so... That's what's happening.

Saturday we had the start of our craft fair weekend... Had a wonderful hog roast, bought a couple of nice things... Bought mead! I don't drink, but it was gorgeous. Good for a swig now and again I think. Left pretty early, considering. It was the quietest day. And then in the evening... Eurovision!
I wanted Serbia to win, but Sweden was my second favourite. So I'm okay with the outcome. We got points, which was amazing. I thought we were very Eurovisionesque, but nobody else did, supposedly.

Sunday was the first day I was not in work. I looked at cars. I picked a car. I'm getting a SEAT Ibiza 1.2 I-TECH model in dark grey. Terrifying, but really exciting! News has come through that I'll pick it up on Friday afternoon. Eeeek.

Monday was the last day of our craft fair, got hold of a wonderfully long woolly cat called Matterhorn, who I love dearly. Also fudge. Tasty fudge.

And I think I'm about up to date... Slowly settling back, tomorrow I'm at the Doctor Who Symphony Spectacular, and I'm excited as buggery.

Today I went to the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular! I went to the evening showing. There was a last minute change of plans... My mother was supposed to come with me, but her spine is disintegrating and she's having a bad time of it this week, so my lovely boyfriend stood in her place to join me, with the lure of alcohol. He's not a fan in the slightest, of DW or classical music, so it was big on his part to come.

Started off wandering around Newcastle first... Had a look in Game, and in HMV. Then we went to Forbidden Planet, which... Doesn't have a huge DW stock any more, sadly. I picked up an Ultron Funko Pop which I've been after for a while, an Ocelot Minecraft cuddly, who looks a little derpy but I've also been after for a while, and two TITAN Vinyl DW blind boxed figures... Of which I got two I did not want, but hey ho, that's the risk with blind boxes.

Went to Wetherspoons, had a BBQ pulled pork and chicken burger, which was tasty tasty. Did some on the spot revision with the boyfriend, and we walked down to the Arena a good half an hour later. Got there no problem, it was just fucking cold, and I picked up my special preordered programme, seen to the right! Nice cover.
I also couldn't resist getting a special tour t-shirt, and a hoodie. I have spent so much money today it is ridiculous, but I don't often have big geeky days out so there we go. Daren't look at my bank, though. Eek.

The orchestra was fabulous, they played some wonderful music and I got to hear I am the Doctor and This is Gallifrey live, the two pieces I really, really wanted to hear live. Over the moon with it all. They had many monsters come into the audience, including Cybermen, Daleks, Silurians, the Silence, the Whispermen, the Foretold annd... Yes, I think that's all that came out. It wasn't packed, but our block was a little squashed.
Saw both people I knew were going tonight, which was a pleasant surprise, given the Arena is biiiiig.

Bed time, I think. I'm picking up my new car tomorrow, and the boyfriend is going away for the weekend D: so I'm going to use that time to catch up on writing. And working.

MY NEW CAR.
My new car is da bomb.
Weird as all hell to drive for the first time, because I've driven the same one for six years. An old Nissan Micra, second hand, old old old. This is new new new. Cloth and leather seats, leather wheel. Absolute dream to drive. Responsive, quick, very fast. Makes it to eighty easily. Love driving it... Music is great in it. Comes with a sat nav, so I've been playing with that.

My boyfriend left around lunchtime to go and see his very ill dog over at home, which is on the other side of the country. I'm really glad he's gotten the chance to go and see him before he leaves... I would've been over if I hadn't been working tomorrow, and if I had a car. The news came at the worst possible time last week. He'll be back on Sunday to chill in my new car with me, and have a good drive around. Exciting times. Just means I have to spent the next two nights alone with Doctor Who for company. Going to have to see if I can dig my blurays out to sleep with for the comfort of the noise instead of relying on Netflix.

Also... Because I never put him here, this is my old car. RIP you poor thing, he's left the car park and now changed owner. Sad face.

He's been working to revise, and I had a busy start of the week in regards to work, finishing off college and a bit more work.
Also been getting used to my car. Good fun. Still love it. Everybody at work really likes it, too.

Incredibly busy at work, hit a bunch of deadlines earlier in the week for things due today which is nice, I think. Working hard to start to publicise our summer holiday events. Leaflet will be finished at the end of next week and ready to be dished out. Some things to do next week, website and catching up on other stuff...

Yesterday we popped into town for lunch, had some chicken and half a rack of ribs which was really nice, if not incredibly messy. Picked up stationary for my boyfriend's exam next Monday, and we had a look around the pitiful shops down there. Came home, I went out to work for the Anglo-Saxon mini module, which was about landscape archaeology and buildings last night. Nice and interesting.

Woke up this morning and I'm nervously waiting for the Doctor Who Festival tickets to come on sale. Eep.

If everything goes to plan, I'll be going down with my boyfriend and staying on the Docklands, and heading to Harry Potter World again, and hopefully the Science Museum with a bit of the Natural History Museum.
If things do not go to plan, I'll be going with my mother.

But hopefully it'll be the better plan. >_>

I've set up a new bank account just for my London funds. With any luck, I'll still be in a job by then, too. Colossal fingers crossed, there.

Big exam day! Woke up far too early, we both did, and we left at about half 12. Put some petrol in the car and shot up to Newcastle, getting parked surprisingly easily. Headed straight to Spoons to go over some final notes, and we went up to the exam place together, and he went in. I went back to Forbidden Planet, debating whether it was worth struggling to try and reach a Dalek on a top shelf to buy. In the end I decided it wasn't, and went to Waterstones. Which was poo. Then I went up to WHSmiths, which was similarly poo. So I went back to Spoons to sit with a drink and to hammer out some posts. Two and a bit hours went surprisingly quickly, considering I only had my phone for company.

It went well. Could tell by the look on his face when he came up the stairs. It had indeed, he had known all of it. Which is awesome. Knew he would. We went to Forbidden Planet and I decided against the Dalek, buying a Venom Funko Pop instead. Bought the boyfriend a Tywin Funko Pop as an early present. We went for food, had a chicken and cheese burger at a burger place, which was nice.

Much disappoint.

Not had anything back regarding changes, but, yep. Fingers crossed. Spoke to somebody responsible for the Creative & Cultural Apprenticeships which is what I've been doing for the past two years. So that was fun.

I went to work yesterday despite further feeling awful. I had barely any lunch, and how I got through the day I do not know. We were surprisingly busy, which was nice, until the sun came out and then we ended up quiet. I managed to leave early and then... I lost the rest of the day because I felt awwwfuuuuuuuuulllll. I did eat some tea, which in retrospect, probably wasn't a good idea. Ate some pasta. It did not stay down long.

I got some sleep, mostly uninterrupted, and then today has been a bit of a loss, too. Managed to get some Coco Pops down myself. Pretty much just taking today easy.

Work yesterday! Slow slog of getting things done. Our farm cat went missing, he'd been lost since Friday. He miraculously turned up in the museum on Monday afternoon screaming for food after interrupting a school visit. None of us could figure out how or when he got in, and why he didn't trip the alarms. Concern all round, confusion all round.
He bit me as a welcome back present.
Tosser.
Lovely tosser.

Copious excitement over Fallout 4, which I preordered the collectors edition of this evening. It's due out two days before my birthday, so... Pre-birthday treat.
I go to London three a day after my birthday also. >_>

Yep, the rest of Monday was spent streaming E3. Boyfriend is sick of the spiel they do at the conference so I watched, informing him of big breaks. Microsoft was... Well, if the hololens works as good as it did on stage in person, they're onto something. But I just remember the Kinect, so...
ME:A looks super even if it was entirely CGI cutscene trailer but I DON'T CARE. Really like the look of Unravelled, and Battlefront looks amazing.
UbiTOMCLANCYGAMESYEAHsoft was alright too, really looking forward to AC:S and... Um, yeah... Once upon a time I wanted the Division.

I fell asleep before Sony's conference, but I was woken at half 3 or 4 ish by my boyfriend who informed me they're remaking FFVII.
Commence quiet scream.
I grew up with FFVII, seeing it shortly after it was out and getting hold of it after playing FFVIII, which was my first FF experience. I got back into it when Advent Children was teased and I had a huge crush on one of the characters. It was ridiculous. Wrote a lot of RP with school friends and followed AC religiously whilst playing the game on the side. I've never been obsessed about a remake but HEY HERE IT IS I'M HAVING IT.
I might be more than a bit excited.
Love this game.

So I watched the reveal this morning and find out I don't need to go in for the staff meeting, so I don't get dressed because I'm lazy. The rest of the day has generally been fishing on RS, looking after the ill boyfriend and watching the last two conferences. Nothing except Yoshi's Woolly World really gets me for Nintendo, but for Square...
Damn.
I lost my shit again at Kingdom Hearts 3.
Give me this game now. D:

Eek! I'm falling behind here. Bad stuff.

Worked on Wednesday. Ended up on the desk again with somebody phoning sick. She originally gave a time she'd not feel sick anymore, but surprise surprise that passed with a phonecall saying she was no better.
This is the second Wednesday this has happened now when the day prior to she was fine. It has a knock on effect with my work because I end up having to man the desk and still do everything I had planned to do on the day marketing wise.
It's a nightmare
Anyway, I got through that.
The biggest part of Wednesday was being told that my boss wants to take me to a conference in November to represent Apprentices and Apprenticeships on a national scale. It's one of the largest conferences held by the Museums Association and it is terrifying. Exciting, but terrifying! He told me Glasgow, but it is Birmingham. ;o

Thursday was a good day... Didn't do much. Subway for lunch, tried the pulled pork... I went to our final Anglo-Saxon Mini Module session. We focused on food, and had a mini-feast at the end. I refused to try the fish sauce, but I had the yoghurt and raspberry, the pea and honey soup, and some mead. Because mead. Also so much bread. Tasty.
So that was the end of that, unfortunately. Shot off to Tesco to get some tea which I didn't eat much of, and then came home.
Also booked tickets for Harry Potter Studios again in London in November yesterday. Going on the Sunday, really excited to see the Hogwarts Express this time.

Today has been a lazy day. Just working towards 90m fishing exp on Runescape. My goal is almost in my sights!

20th June 2015

I am very tired today.
I stayed up a little later than normal to watch the end of FBI Files, which was one I hadn't seen before and was proving to be highly interesting. It was pretty hard to get up this morning, but I got there in the end. We had two sets of re-enactors in today, which was pretty cool. I only got to go down to see them once as the apprentice I was with had to leave around lunch time to do one of the last shifts at her other job, which left me alone on the desk for the entire afternoon.
It was quite a busy but fun day, and I managed to get a fair bit done in regards to social media stuff. I hijacked back control of the Instagram account, so we now have one of those ready for summer, I planned a bunch of hashtags so those are also ready to roll. Lastly, I got the edits to my leaflets complete and sent those to be printed.

Went to Asda tonight, picking up a few things and ended up shooting off to Spoons. Tried another place first but idiot me forgot it was Saturday and Saturday is not the best day for food places without bookings.
Doy.
Spoons wasn't great either... They fucked up the order, and I still didn't end up with a rare steak. Still, I ate most of it and the chips were nice, so... That's that.
Making a bunch of Fishing urns for my RS exp tonight. I have 87.4m exp at the moment.

Tiiiiired again.

I didn't do much yesterday. Literally nothing. I don't even think I got dressed. I just fished, and realised I still have Tuska to finish on RS to get the warpriest set.
Sigh.
Effort.

Anyway, today it was work. I stuck with mostly social media stuff, should've gotten more newsletter written than I did but hey ho. Managed to get some other stuff done. Had to leave early, had a nurse appointment... Came home, then went food shopping. I'm popping in to work again tomorrow, but just for meetings. Which is great as I want my lie in tomorrow!

Woo! Yesterday was meeting meeting meetingz. I led up final part of the education staff meeting yesterday afternoon which meant explaining my social media plans over summer, and heading up the leaflet distribution. I have a nice list now of who is doing where and who can be blamed if they are not there. >_>

Then we had the full staff meeting which was basically 'We need to make money over summer!' and we do. So, yeah. Good fun. Plans and ideas all round.

Today I got the leaflet distribution list planned out which will be good for all upcoming event leaflet distributions also. Names will be the only things that change over time. I got our newsletter finished and sent, did some websitey things, did some plan things and started promoting our new Instagram account, which is going to be used heavily over summer alongside Twitter.
Eek.
I forsee a lot of overtime over summer.
I got to see our new stocks too, which are coming along nicely for being planned only yesterday.

Tonight I am going to watch the new Don't Tell the Bride on BBC1, sleep lots and then relax tomorrow.

I did a lot sleep indeed on Wednesday, which was really nice. Haven't had a nice long lie in like that for ages. Yesterday was a pretty non-day. My new PJ bottoms turned up, which was nice. Pasta bake for tea and we just watched a lot of TV. I did manage to get 90m fishing exp also, which is fantasticccc! I'm over the moon with that.

Today I had to get dressed unfortunately to get my hair dyed. That's eaten most of my day... Dropped off some leaflets for work, and everybody is going out tonight so extra big takeaway tonight. Looking forward to that. I'm back at work tomorrow and I'm deciding whether I want to drop leaflets off on Monday or skip and do another day.

It's far too hot. It was hot yesterday at work and it was gross, and it has been hot today and it is gross. Had a list of things left to do tomorrow by the boss so I got on that... To be continued this week. I've decided to drop leaflets off tomorrow so I'm doing that in the morning before I swing into work. Will grab some lunch down there before I head back.

Today has been slow... Good, though. Had lamb for lunch and have been watching TV for the rest of the evening. Finally could have a shower after being unable to do due to having to let my hair dye sink in, so I'm nice and clean and CHILL, which is wonderful in this bloody heat.

Yesterday was hot. I went down town to drop off some leaflets first thing, grabbed my lunch and swung in to work... Missed some drama, which is unfortunate, but hey ho. Had some bad news regarding funding in the morning, which was a shame, but... These things happen. I got quite a few things done before melting, and I had a really nice tea in the evening. We're working our way through the older episodes of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, which is good fun. Almost up to our first Millionaire.

Today was also hot. I can't cope with heat. I don't deal with it. I hate it. Really hate it. So I melted. I went in to work and did some stuff, ate an ice cream and melted a bit more. I went in to speak to somebody but it turned out that plan didn't work out too well... So that didn't happen, but I still met him. Then I hung around for the Team Leaders meeting, which also never happened, so... Yeah. Finished off some work and swung home with my wonderful air con in my car. Came home and melted. Still melting.
Yep.

Eek, in July now.
As a continuing theme, it's too fucking hot. The heatwave hasn't gone away yet, which is really, really upsetting. I worked in it yesterday, sat in front of my fan and didn't move unless necessary. The bonus was whilst tweeting about ice cream, I discovered we've now got chocolate ice cream in the cafe. Which is awesome, so I had that with my lunch.
I'd done a lot of what I had to do when I popped in on Tuesday, so I just finished my newsletter and worked on a few things. Storm hit about half 3, and started to get bad around 4ish, so we made the executive decision to quit because it looked bad and could get worse. I dropped off our Education Officer at the Metro, and went home.
Turns out we had it pretty lucky, considering some places here had it baaaaad.
Had some tasty burgers for tea, and watched the wonderful millionaire episode! That was good fun. I ended up going to bed early because I scared myself with news of a colossal storm coming about 12ish... It wasn't as bad as expected, not here at least, but I'm pretty close to the coast anyway.

Woke up earlier than I wanted to this morning. Blame the heat, it's still hot... Really beginning to hate it. We're due another storm tomorrow night and Saturday... Which I don't mind, but I'm working on Saturday so it might be a bit ugh. Probably very quiet if that turns out to be the case.
Anyway, today I melted, did some washing of clothes, melted... I'm now 10m exp away from my Master Fishing RS cape, which I'm all happy about, too.

Falling behind again, eek!

Didn't do much on Friday. Had a gorgeous chinese chicken curry for tea, though. Just catching up on RS exp. Saturday I went to work and it was incredibly slow there, mostly because it had rained heavily around 5am. Supposedly there was also thunder, but I didn't wake up so the jury is out on that one. It picked up in the afternoon, and ended up leaving late due a late group arriving. It also was incredibly hot again, which was unfortunate.
I've been so eager to rewatch Terminator 2 for weeks now, and we found it on TV last night. I was far too excited! Sat up and watched the entire thing. Craving subsided, happy times!

Woke up earlier than I wanted to today, and proceeded to watch a hell of a lot of crime programs before going frozen food shopping with my dad. My mother can't walk at the moment and therefore can't go food shopping, so we'll be doing that tomorrow evening. Watched a lot of TV today... Including John Carter, which was surprisingly good, too. Had a shower, and it's the first time I've been cold in about a week. Incredible!

Work tomorrow, looking like it'll be a reasonable day.

Yesterday was work day. Was tired, and it didn't feel as if I got much done. Still, I have an almost ready to go newsletter for tomorrow and a few things I need to work on. Otherwise, all is well. Went food shopping with the boyfriend which is always a wonderful experience as he is so fun to be with. He makes everything fun.

Today was the final day of college, and to celebrate we spent the day in York. I was train boss because I am experienced with trains. Went on a type of train I've never been on before, a Transpennine Express train, which was exciting. >_> Had a window seat. Took about an hour and ten minutes to get into York, where we decided to eat immediately because food is clearly a pressing issue. After much deliberation and indecisives, I decided we were going to eat at one takeout meat place. Had a giant yorkie pud with ham and roasties and gravy, and it was delicious.
Then we headed into York Minster, had a nice look around and I sat and waited whilst everybody else went up the colossal huge bit of the tower. I went into the shop, went outside, decided it was too wet to be outside and went back in. Was supposed to take 45 minutes up there, took less due to rain so off we went to the TRAIN MUSEUM.
It stopped raining, and then everybody decided they wanted a coffee break so we went into a tiny, literally TINY place for coffee.
THEN it rained as we headed to the museum, but that's all good because it wasn't heavy. I went straight to the shop after getting in, and I promptly lost everybody else as I went around the museum taking photos. I finally found the viewing platform, though it was closed, but I got to see some trains driving past. It was super.

Finally, we headed back to the station, and back on the train to come home.

TIRED.

Yesterday was horribly, horribly busy. Between finishing my newsletter and working to get other bits and pieces finished and started, I didn't sit down much. Sourced some wood to make a sandwich board for Monday when me and a couple of apprentices will be going to the awful Sunderland stadium to advertise our summer activities. I got it cut to size and it just needs me to go in tomorrow and paint the text on.
My boyfriend got 99 Farming, Crafting and Strength last night also on RS, which was pretty awesome.

Today has been a relaxing day. Was supposed to go to Nandos with somebody for work but it ended up not happing as she's off work, so that's also why I pushed my sign back to tomorrow. Popped out to get pies, and have had a good day of fishing on RS. I'm now 99m exp, so it won't be long now until I have my master cape!
Exciting stuff!

So!
Friday we washed the sheets, so we had a good morning together before I went out to work. Grabbed chips on the way in, ate the chips, then got to work with these sodding sandwich boards. I sat on the dirty floor of the shed and drew out our logo for an apprentice to paint hideously, and then I drew the other letters on the other board when one of our resident artists told me he had the ability to make vinyl lettering.
LIFESAVER.
Went well, except I broke one of the Hs, so...  After a mild breakdown, everything went well and I grabbed some stuff to put in the car for Monday.

Yesterday was long. Long day. Long, busy day. There was a lot going on around the region, so it was good that considering all of that we were busy. We had a play on at half 2, which took a lot of attention. Once it started I loaded up the car with the rest of the stuff for tomorrow, and then hung around waiting for it to finish before coming home. I'd had a really shitty sleep which probably didn't help the day last FOREVER.
The most exciting thing about yesterday was getting 100m fishing exp! Finally! My goal is really within my sights now.
http://i.imgur.com/KzFzHqL.png

Proof!

Had a good sleep last night, woke up early and went out for lunchfast with the boyfriend! Had a gorgeous beef baguette with gravy and chips. It was delicious. Wonderful. We had a walk back to the car in the nice weather, not too hot, and had a look in Morrisons on the way back. Bought Hot Wheels cars each, mine is the superior one as it looks like a scorpion.

It's been a lot of Runescape this afternoon, coupled with a missing cat which got out of the garden and headed into next door. It's 'cat proofed', supposedly.
Anyway.
At the awful Sunderland Stadium tomorrow to get some marketing done for half of the day. Thankfully, it is only half of the day.

I need to get used to writing in here every other day again. Blergh.
Monday went well. As expected, awful stadium, but our promotion went super. We arrived early and set up super early, but it didn't really prepare us for the onslaught of the children. We took spinning baskets to spin bracelets for the kids and it really pulled them in. Gave away a lot of leaflets. All was good.
Drove back to work, did some work. Designing stickers for summer.
Also went shopping in the evening, which was good fun with the boyfriend again.

My mother is off with a bad back and she is exceptionally bored and unable to do anything, so the frustrations are being passed on. I was glad to go to work for the meeting yesterday, which was very productive. Did a few more things, and then came home. We did some washing and I had a really nice shower. Fishing goal is within my sights. It's exciting!

TODAY!
I started my day with the incredible stressful attempt of trying to get photoshoot tickets for Peter Capaldi for the convention in London. The work wifi went off at the perfect time of when the tickets went on sale, and it took a lot of spamming refresh to get them. I raised my hand not ten minutes later to signify I had them, and I was over the moon. Excited. So happy. Worth the stress and worth the effort.
Then I spent the rest of the day fighting with a press release. My first press release. Nice and terrifying. Then the newsletter, then I got to work on what I actually wanted to work on, which was our 2016 leaflet. Get it started nice and early so it can be checked over completely. I'll be continuing to work on that and gather people's opinions whilst I work the desk tomorrow, which is bleh but at least I get the rest of the week off.

FISHING CAPE IS IN MY SIGHTS.

Yesterday was my last work day of this week. I asked for Saturday off because we were going to go away this weekend, but plans fell through and I didn't comment that I was free because I didn't want to work the wedding and somebody else wanted to work the Saturday instead. So, I'm happy to have the weekend off. It's my first weekend off in... Ages, I think. Christ.

Err.
Just a day of doing things. Busy busy. Was on the desk, which is blergh, but hey ho. I had a hunt for Charlie on the farm and he turned up after I shouted for him, I saw one of our adorable baby Moor Hen chicks, and I also found out we've got duck eggs we're trying to incubate and hatch.
Eggxciting!

Today is much more exciting because I managed to sit up late last night and really hammer the big chunk of exp I needed down for 120 fishing to an achievable rate. Today has been a day of non-stop fishing, and I finally, finally picked up my Master Fishing cape about half an hour ago. Thrilled. Really thrilled. Now starts the slower trek for 200m, and to get my other skills up, too.

Whee!

Summer was a very strange time. I didn't get round to updating for a number of days, which turned into weeks, and now it's September.
Whoops.

A brief summary of my summer:
I spent three weeks addicted to Fallout Shelter. It's still not November. Sad times.
Our little work ducks hatched and I got to hold three of them.
My uni books arrived and I start my degree in October. Scary shit.
Work is terrifying. Arts Council are in on the 15th. It's crunch time and it's scary.
Continuing to hate pirates (nothing personal to pirates!)
Drama galore.

A brief summary of today:
Ventured into Newcastle to see where my boyfriend's final first year exam will be held, it was hot and sunny and we walked into town after. Food was Spoons and fish and chips, we had a look in Forbidden Planet and also into the Grainger Market for the first time which I like a lot now. We swung into Waterstones and I found an updated version of my childhood favourite toy (which I still have) so insta-buy. I heart Mog.

Tomorrow is work and only a week until new Doctor Who

Work was relatively quiet and slow on Saturday, which was surprising. We had an incident regarding a complaint over Heritage Open Days, which is where venues can either open their doors and be free entry for three days, or hold free events. We have held free events recently, but we are not free entry.
Several papers in the local vicinity listed us as free. Sigh.

No matter.

Sunday was the Great North Run. I couldn't get to work as I live the wrong side of the main road for it, and it's a big event. So I was off. Saw the Red Arrows and just had a day of relaxing instead.

Today has been pretty busy, between meetings and doing bits and pieces today has flown. I spent an hour doing a favour for the boss so I went to a local filmmaker's house. Unusual to go to somebody's house I've never met before but hey the things you do for work. All because I have transport.

Tomorrow is the Arts Council day.
Scary.

Also as an update, my current fishing exp on Runescape is 117,646,936 exp. Whee.

It's been almost a year since I started this blog, and it fell to the wayside somewhere during my busy summer. I wanted to keep this as a record of my all over the place worklife and relaxed homelife.

I worked at a very small local museum with international acclaim, funded by local authority and grants. The Conservative government heavily cut local authority funding since they got into power, surprise surprise, and we were dealt blow after blow over the past year. We lost some staff because they moved on, we lost some money because we just did. I reinterviewed for my job in December and secured a year contract as the council had agreed to fund us for another year.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/bedes-world-closure-jarrow-sparks-10895338#ICID=sharebar_facebook

I lost my job on Friday.
I lost my job alongside my 26 colleagues who had become an extended family to me. We were all as weird as each other, we had our faults, but we were all happy. We were all in it together, right to the very end. I visited Bede's World as a child when it had freshly opened, and I had fond memories of it back then. It was my first job. It turned into my first real job after I became fully employed back in 2014. I experienced a lot there. I broke my phone in a swordfight, I appeared on TV, my nose became scarred after sitting on some dodgy hay, I burnt myself and still have the scar, I spoke to the BBC, I was chased by a Dalek, I held a duck, I used an axe, I met a Dame Professor, I put up exhibitions, and I put a lot of my soul into the place.
We all did.
It was more than a workplace. It was a second home. An obscure, often shitty second home, but it was a second home.

That is all.
