Kristin is 20 years old. She has baby blue eyes and gorgeous blond curly hair that goes a little bit past her shoulders. She is in love with her boyfriend. They've been dating for 2 years and 11 months. There 3 year anniversary is the following week. They've been fighting recently so she is really concerned about them at this point in time. They've haven't talked face to face or on the phone in about a week. They've been texting instead. She is currently going to school for education. School and work keep her extremely busy but she has always found time for him because she loves him and it is very important to her. She's in love after all.

She is up and ready to start her day and decides to set her away message "class 9-2 then work 4-10..i love you until my heart stops..your my other half and you have the key to my heart..TEXT if you want."

Josh wakes up to the sunshine and a beeping of his cell phone.  Like a vampire he shuns away from the luminescence and hides under the pillow for another minute.  Wearily aware of the cell phone he manages to stick his head out from his soft kingdom and look at the flashing screen, a text message.  His dark onyx hair matted in front of him made him look cute; his sister used to tell him.  He didn't have time for that though, because the sender was his girlfriend Kristin.  This wasn't a bad thing though; despite their recent problems she was still wanting to talk with him.  He ran his hand through his short hair, almost giving himself a 'blaze' hair look, but his hair was too short for that.  The text read, "Class 9-2 then work 4-10..i love you until my heart stops..your my other half and you have the key to my heart..TEXT if you want."  She must be in a good mood, he thought.  The twenty- two year old begins to roll over rubbing his glass- like eyes.  "Got to text back," he says to himself.  His text sends back, "I'm at work till 9 tonight, have to be there at 8 this morning, love you too."  He looks at the time and realizes it is 7:30.  "Oh man...," he stammers, "I'm gonna be late!"  He rushes out of bed rubbing his eyes; even through his morning eyes they had their light blue shine.  He knew that if he was late to the site his boss was going to hit the roof, if there had been one out doors.  Problem was they hadn't built it yet.  The boss had it out for him, he knew it.  He started to get dressed and he got the strange feeling he was forgetting something important, something to do with Kristin.  What is it, he thinks.  He looks at himself in the mirror; checking out his abs.  He puts on his shirt and pants; making sure he brushed his teeth and flossed.  He was proud that he is multi-talented.  He pulled on his shoes and grabbed his gear.  He could make it in...oh man 10 minutes, he hoped.  Do it Josh and your in like Flinn.  He smiled as he drove away from his apartment.

Kristin is brushing and straightening her hair trying to make everything look just exactly the way that she wants it. It is only class but she prides herself on looking her best. As her text goes off she smiles as she looks at the caller id as it says "my babe." As she reads the text message she sighs in annoyance thinking all he does is work. She hates that he works 13 hour days every day. She begins to text back "UGHHH..why can't you have a regular 9-5 job..i hate your job. get a new one geez..love you too" She is completely irritated with his job thinking that he works way too much. She just wishes that she could see him more. She works at the local diner in town and just cut back her hours so she only works on saturday nights from 4-10 and sundays from 11-6. This is the last week shift. It is a Wednesday night. She picks up all of her books as she puts them into her backpack and grabbed her purse and car keys. She headed out to her car and she drove away from her apartment to go to class then work. Wondering if Josh will remember there 3 year is coming up. He didn't really remember their 1 and 2 year so she really isn't expecting him to remember but she thinks it still would be nice. She gets that he just may not though.

He tosses his cell down on the seat in his Mazda.  Get a new job, he questions.  This one pays well and he makes the money so that he can get her things.  She is always saying in the stores that she wants this and she wants that.  Without this job she hates so much there wouldn't be anything.  He picks up his cell.  He texts back, "Sorry."  He hopes that will smooth enough over tonight when he stops by the diner.  He just wants her to be happy.  He stops at a red light and sees a couple sitting next to each other in a 1995 Ford Tempo beige colored.  It didn't compare to his Mazda RX-4, but he saw that they were happy.  Man, he thought, how long have we been together?  "We were so happy," he says to himself.  The light turns green and a light bulb comes on in his head.  "Ten, eleven, and oh man!" he realized, "I almost forgot again!"  He looks around and sees his dash board.  He grabs the first writing utensil he finds and in permanent marker writes their anniversary date of 3 years.  Then he finally gets his revelation, the idea that will make her fall for him again just like when they first met.  He smiles to himself as he arrives 5 minutes late to work.  Hoping that the boss won't notice, he drove up quickly and jumped out to help with the cement mixer.  The clear day looked great and things were looking up.  He couldn't stop singing of Kristin all day long.

As she receives the text message from him she gives a little grin. At least he said he was sorry. Most guys don't even know what the word sorry means. I'm pretty lucky I've got Josh in my life. He is a really good looking guy and sometimes she wonders how someone like him ended up with someone like her. When they are out to dinner or wherever she always sees girls looking at them but more so him. She is SUPER JEALOUS. She tries not to let it bother her but sometimes it does. They've been fighting here and there about the fact that she is super jealous of every girl he talks too. He is loyal and he would never do anything but she is still super scared. She gets to campus and finds a fairly close parking spot so she pulls into the spot. She texts back. "I just hate your job because I don't see you. Sole reason. Have a good day baby. I love you. PROMISE :-) " She clicks sends as she puts her phone on silent and walks to her class. All day all she thinks about is Josh. She remembers when she first brought home Josh to meet her family. He was such a gentleman. They actually met at a party and she wonders if sometimes she changed him. She didn't want to but in the back of her head she thinks maybe she did. She goes to class.

He takes his cell phone out at lunch and checks to see if Kristin text back.  He smiles his godly smile when he sees her message.  The sweat is beating off his forehead, but in his mind he isn't beating the heat anymore.  He is cool again and back in good graces with his girl.  "I know you hate the job, but I work it for you babe," he knows how to get to her heart now.  He remembers back to the new days of being with her.  He was uncontrollable and knew he needed to change to impress this girl.  He had changed, because he got a good job and kept it.  No more drinking, no chick surfing, and honesty to a fault.  He still didn't know why Kristin was with him.  He was a bad boy gone good and no girl wants that.  Except, Kristin did and he didn't understand why.  He saw the looks the guys gave her when she walked into any room.  He knew what they were thinking.  He had thought it before, but knew that she wanted to wait till she got married.  He could respect that, after all, why would a hot woman like her do that with a 'Lost Boy' anyway?  He finishes the text with, "We'll talk about a career change later, alright?"  Now they could concentrate on more blissful things when he would surprise her tonight at her job.

As she reads the text message she grins wide. He treats her so good just like a princess. She loves that but sometimes she feels guilty so that is kind of why she works. She wants to feel like she is doing something to help out so in a way this job is part of that. She feels like she is using him a lot of the time. She texts back "Aww babe I'm glad your all mine..I love you and I'm sorry for being such a bitch lately. Later? What do you mean later?" She asks confused. Sometimes she isn't very smart. She thinks oh yea forget to tell him something so she texts him again. "I'm sorry if I changed you and made you lose of your friends..I didn't want to do that. I don't wanna change a guy to be with him. I want you for you. The cute boy I fell in love with" She smiles as she clicks send. She has been feeling very lovely dovey romanticy recently but she loves it.

He looks at the message.  He eyes widen, finally!  She is the first woman in history to admit any wrong doing.  This one is a keeper, he thinks.  It is only a couple of hours until he gets off of work, sweet is the one thing that hits his head.  Excited about seeing Kristin, he starts to dance.  He continues dancing, stopping only when the guys look at him.  He stops and looks away, embarrassing....  He thinks about her message.  He texts her back responding to her question.  "Later babe means tomorrow, I will be tired tonight, sorry."  He smiles at his facetiously deceiving nature.  He looks at the rest of the message; change me?  "Babe you haven't changed me, I still am me.  Just a better me, because of you."  "My friends all have their lives don't worry about them just us, alright?"  He grins as he sends the message.  He gets ready to finish his shift for the last 2 hours.  Ok, he thinks, it is 7 now.  He smiles as he heads over to the cement mixture.

She smiles thinking he is truly MR PERFECT. The guy she has been looking for all along. "But when tomorrow? Tomorrow is my last week shift then my schedule changes. I have class from 8-10 then i'm working 10am-8pm. Don't be sorry. You need to rest babe". She smiles fulling thinking that she will see him tomorrow somehow or someway. She reads his message. "Your the best me I want to have of you. I worried about us so much maybe that is why we have been fighting so much lately. I miss you baby. I mean love of my life." She clicks the send button as she is at the dinner rush now. She is stressed out and she sighs as she goes back to her work.

He reads her text as he gets ready to enter into his car.  Ready to plow through the traffic and see his girl.  He knows she hasn't got a clue and he loves it.  He makes sure he is decent, so he splashes some water in his hair and on his face from a nearby fountain.  He then grabs his Old Spice to smell good and drives his fingers through his hair with some gel for a quick fixer upper.  He smiles gleefully and texts back to her, "Good night."  He moves into his car and brushes his teeth again; speeding off into the night. 

His heart beating with excitement.  He can't wait to see her face.  He plays on his stereo first it comes up "She's got Skillz" by All for One and he looks at the machine like it lost its mind.  Then he gets "When the Sun Goes Down" by Uncle Kraker and Kenny Chesney; he has to shake his head at that one.  He tries one last time and it doesn't take more than a millisecond of some boy band that he turns of the radio.  No music, he thinks.  I'll create a choir of angels when I see my own angel.

She gets depressed when she realizes that he won't be showing up to see her. She texts back "See you a quarter past never." She is extremely sarcastic and she is almost always using some sort of sarcasm. She goes back to taking drink orders, food orders, and whatever else needs done at the diner. The dinner rush has calmed down but there are still a lot of people in the diner. A few guys flirting with her now and then but of course she has her own man to flirt with. A small barely there grin.

The music comes on the radio. Some love songs by some of her favorite boy bands. She loves to listen to all of the sappy music. "Haven't Met You Yet" comes on and she smiles thinking this would be their theme song. It was for her before they got together. She thinks about her brother who just had a little baby girl and she smiles thinking that Josh may be called Uncle Josh. She isn't sure that is something he is comfortable with. She thinks i'll have to talk about it tomorrow.

He smiles at her irritated sarcasm.  He knows her too well.  He pulls into the parking lot a half and hour later and pulls into a empty space.  The lot smells of cars and he realizes this place was busy up unto 15 minutes ago.  He texts a "Yeah whatever," back to her and smiles of how pissed she will be.  Until, that is, he walks in the door.  He smiles strolling into the diner and hears one of her boy toy songs by Michael Buble.

He hears the second refrain of the song and starts singing the lyrics right on pitch with Michael, knowing that it is going to be just a another ace in the hole for him.  "I know we can be so amazing and baby your love is gonna change me."  He smiles as he sings the rest of the song loudly.  He jumps onto a table with the rest of the late nighters looking on at him.  Some smiling and others not knowing what he is doing.  He looks for his girl to finish the line to.

As he texts back she groans. She HATES when he says yeah whatever to her. It really irritates her. It is so blunt and so unloving. She continues to clean up tables as the crowd leaves. At this point there are only about 10 people in the restaurant and the traffic has suddenly died down. She sighs in exhaustion but is so happy it is almost over.

Just then she hears some guy singing to the song and she sighs thinking it is some idiot but she looks over and she sees that it is Josh. She finishes the line. "And, baby, your love is gonna change me And Now I can see every single possibility". She stops and looks at him as she shakes her head at him. As he walks closer she whispers to him. "You know your a jerk. You lied to me. I'm so mad at you right now. You better know that. SO MAD" She gives him an irritated and annoyed look.

He looks at her with a puppy dog look.  Whispering back, "I did cause I wanted to surprise you hon."  He smiled hoping he would get through her glass shield.  "I wanted to spend some time with you and so I thought we could go for a walk; the park is nearby."  His transparent eyes tried to penetrate her exterior.  He showed her the flowers he picked up from the shop, just before it closed.  He handed twelve red roses complete with a card.  The wind could be heard outside signifying a storm was approaching.  He saw the weather and shook his head looking very serious.  "I'm sorry...," was all he could say.

She gave him a small grin as she shook her head. "You know if I didn't love you so much and if you weren't so damn cute I would be so mad at you. But fact is that I love you." She smiles as she looks at the flowers and smiles. She loves getting flowers. She is a hopeless romantic. "Oh babe these are gorgeous. You didn't have too. I still have 15 minutes until I can go baby. Plus it is gonna rain hard." She smiles at him.

The rain starts pouring down outside like a herd of elephants pounding through the Amazonian rain forest.  The thunder can be heard outside and the lightning flashes as bright as a star.  From the length and go between of the lightning and thunder; the storm will last all night.  He looks at her and says, "Well then you have an escort back to your place."  He grins trying to look gallant to her and stands like Superman.  His hair flushes a little in front of him as he poses covering his left eye slightly.  He looks around hoping that he is not creating to much of a scene and embarrassing her again.  "Love you...," he gave her.

She moves from behind the counter as she gives him a hug as she buries her face into his chest. She looks up at him and smiles. "Your my Superman. Always there to save me even after I'm been Super Bitch to you. I'm actually done so did you wanna sit down and talk or something. Love you too baby" She puts her hands around him as she leans her face back into his shirt blushing a deep and very bright red blush. She is so happy that he is happy but kind of upset that he tricked her too.

"You weren't Super Bitch," he says annoyed.  He looks at her seriously, "We are going to fight based on our feelings, ok?"  He hugs her and he smiles looking at her, "Sure we can sit down."  He leads her over to a corner booth and helps her into it.  The air filled with food scents of all kinds and permeated his nose.  This was a chemical chain reaction in his brain and when he got ready to sit down, his stomach growled.  He looked down realizing he hadn't eaten all day.  I will eat after my girl talks to me, he thought.  He sits down and looks at her staring into her eyes, penetrating them.

"I know I know I just get annoyed easily I guess." She sat down in the booth next to him and she grabbed his hand and interlocked her fingers with his fingers. As they held hands she heard his stomach growl and she laughed. "Babe you need to eat. What would you like?" She smiles at him. She had always taken care of him when it came to food. She always made sure that he got something that he liked and she almost always cooked for him. As he looks at her she smiles. "So what do you wanna talk about baby?"

He looks at her and grins; another moment of Superman.  "Hon, first you then food," he said with a serious tone.  "I wanted to ask you how your day has been," he says with a smile.  He frowns a little, however, "I haven't had a lot of time with you lately because of the fighting and working."  "I know your peeved about my job and I am sorry," he continued, though, pausing slightly to allow his words to set in.  "I work for you though and I want you to see that."  "I know that we have been together for a long time, but I still don't know everything about you.  Everyday is just another day of learning for me."  He grinned quoting the movie "Forest Gump."  "I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is."  "I want you to know that I am going to start looking for a new job, so we can spend more time together, ok?"  He moves over and kisses her softly on the lips, tenderly, like their first kiss.  An eternal moment set aside, just for them.

She looks at him as she grins. Thinking how he is sounding like the man of her dreams. He is the man of her dreams but not he is displaying and showing it so much. "My day has been good I guess. Had classes which were boring and what not but work is work i guess. Stupid and creepy guy trying to flirt with me all day. There so lame. How was your day baby?" She looks at him. "I know that you work for me and sometimes I wish you didn't just because if you didn't do that I'd see you more. I want you to enjoy what makes you happy. " "Your a very smart man. Very smart. Don't ever say your not please. We have love I know that." She smiles as he kisses her. "Babe do you have plans for next friday thru  tuesday?" She smiles as she looks up at him.

He looks concerned for her over the creepy flirt and looks around the diner for the man.  Unable to identify him he looks back at her.  "My day was ok, I just dumped the concrete all day."  He tried to keep a smile, but the creepy guy worried him more and more.  She didn't say a guy had been flirting; she said a creepy guy had been flirting with her.  He tried to concentrate, though.  "And like I said, tomorrow I will start job hunting, ok?"  Then he looks her dead in her eyes and says, "I want you to realize that you are what makes me happy."  He kisses her tenderly and add, "You make me crazy too, but that is beside the point 'cause I love ya!"  He smiles warmly and lovingly.  "As for those days, it depends on the times, you know late night and stuff is ok."  He paused then added the good part, "But I am off Saturday and Sunday."  He can't stop smiling after handing her that news.  He thinks about the food though and wonders what she is in the mood to make...Hmmmm...

She looks at him as she looks concerned knowing she shouldn't have said creepy but the guy was creepy. "Babe he is sitting over there in that corner booth but himself but let it go. I know your my hero and your my protector but it is part of the job. "She leans her head on his shoulder.  "You don't have to do that if you like your job. Jobwise do what makes you happy baby." I'm not here to change you." She kisses him back deeply. "That's because we are so crazy in love. I know I'm crazy about you. " She looks at him lovingly. "I was just asking because Stacy's having her baby shower this weekend and Mike invited you up so the two of you can bond or hang out or whatever it is that you boys do while I'm at the baby shower. They want us to like spend a few days with them." Mike is Kristin's older brother (24) and Stacy is his wife. Mike and Kristin are still super close to this day. He is her very protective older brother. Their having a little girl that they are gonna name Riley Josie Marchant. He doesn't know that they are naming the babys middle name after him in a way.

"That works out ok," he tells her, "I can leave work early 'sick' on Friday, have the weekend off anyway, and call off on Monday.  We can come back on Tuesday."  He smiles at her, "What do you think?"  He looks around and looks back at her, "About the job; I can find another one and until then, we have the construction job and the diner job."  He looks at the guy in the corner and sees the man look away.  He starts to feel uncomfortable and shifts uneasily.  "Yeah we can go to see them, I have been wondering off and on how they were," he says it meaningfully, but is obviously distracted by the creep in the corner.  He finally can't stand it and stands up to walk over to him and he isn't smiling.

"Sounds perfect to me. I of course would love to see my brother since you know how close we are. I would love to go see Stace and talk about the baby stuff. You know me babe. I'm glad you can come and have some bonding time too" She smiles up at him. Family is important to her and he knows that. As Josh stands up and heads over to the table with the creep she sighs in frustration. She knows that she shouldn't have said anything but she did and now she has no idea what is going to happen. She walks up to Josh and holds his hand as she whispers into his ear "Stop babe it's not worth it."

Seeing her eyes he looks at her deeply, "If he does anything you'll let me know right?"  His voice serious, only because this girl has his heart in her grasp.  "Yeah, we'll get away this weekend, ok babe?" he continued sitting down.  He doesn't like disappointing her and he knows him fighting over her doesn't win any points in her book, because he already has her.  The storm continues to rage outside as they speak.  The wind is bashing the windows hard and the water is smelled in the diner profusely.  The cook comes out of the back smiling at the storm.  He glances at the outside and laughs.  Josh looks at the guy and shakes his head at the crazy cook, "That guy has lost it hasn't he?"

She sighs knowing she has to tell him what he tried. "Well he kind of tried something. I was serving my customers when he came over and grabbed my ass and he tried to kiss me but I pulled away and I quickly went into the kitchen. Baby please just forget it okay. I'm yours and no one elses. I love you just pretend I didn't tell you." She says as she gives him a hug. "I can't wait to get away and I'm thinking Mike will finally tell you the babys full name. I'm not allowed to tell you."

"It means a lot to me that your coming up with me. Babe you mean the world to me. I love you more than anything in this world. I love that you got that cute dimples" *points to his dimples* "I love how you hold me and I love everything about you. Your perfect and you have the bad boy look but your the perfect guy" She smiles at him.

He looks at her with a half angry and half amused look.  All of the look said surprise and he asked, "You practiced that, didn't you?"  He seemed amused with the haste of the words trying to come out of her mouth in an attempt to stop him from pounding the guy into submission.  "Are you going to report him?" he asked.  "He sexually harassed you and I want to physically destroy him," he looked at the guy in the corner with murder in his eyes. 

He looked at her with a half smile, "You like my dimples?"  He asked in such a facetious way that to take him seriously would have been inane.  "Yeah babe, I can't wait to talk to Mike about the newest edition," he said it whilst still staring down the man.  Nothing was going to drag his gaze away short of his girl.

She smiled at him as she leaned into him. "Of course not..Hey I'm just trying to protect you. I'd rather not see my handsome boyfriend with bloody knuckles. Ya know that really doesn't turn me on at all." She sighed. "I wasn't planning on it. He is harmless. He would never try anything with me." She is the kind of girl that is extremely naive with guys intentions. She thinks that all guys are good and sweet just like Josh is to her.

"I like everything about you baby. Your just the perfect man in my eyes. I love you more than anything in this world." She smiled at him. "Yeah Mike is pretty pumped to see you and catch up. SOmething about rehashing some tournament from last time. Who knows with you silly boys" She giggles.

"Yeah well he already has tried something and my knuckles will be bloody next time," he retorted with a half grin, but serious.  He looks at her all of a sudden with surprise, "You mean to tell me that a big sweaty, bloody man who belongs to you isn't a turn on."  He goes into description to sway her mind, "With big muscles..."  He makes a bicep bulge for her, "Ready to kiss you after he has fought for you..." he swung for the metaphorical home run, "doesn't turn you on?"  He grinned looking at her beauty and admiring her naive childlike nature.  How could she afford to be so beautiful and so naive? 

"You know you make me sound so godly with this perfect thing," he states, "I am not perfect."  He grins, "Though I'd like to be."  He thinks for a moment, "We have been through a lot and I just want to say, I love you."  He smiles, "Yeah, Mike and I have some unfinished business at his pool table."  He laughs, "I beat him so bad last time."  "By the way, beautiful, you have a cute giggle," he leans in to kiss her softly.

She giggles at him. "Yeah ya know the bloody thing not so much a turn on. I mean maybe your muscles are a turn on but the whole bloody thing is not really my thing. Just kind of not really cool to me." She grinned at him. Just then the guy comes over to her. "Hey baby would you mind refilling my drink for me. Then I could show you how a real man makes you feel. Just like before. " He winks at her and she sighs knowing that this is not going to turn out good at all. Josh is gonna do something not so good.

"Maybe you don't think your perfect but in my eyes your perfect. You've always been so good to me even when we were fighting you never took low blows or anything. I'll admit when I first met you I thought wow this guy is gonna be a real douchebag but I was wrong obviously. Your the best thing that ever happened to me and I love you too." She smiles. "Oh you boys and your pool. I'm glad to the two most important boys in my life get along so well. " She leans her head into his shirt as she giggles. "Thanks baby" She kisses him back.

Enjoying the kiss, Josh doesn't realize the guy is walking over.  Hearing the words Josh in one move stands up swinging and he connects with the man's jaw.  The rage at his words and disrespect was too much for Josh.  He doesn't even avoid the man's attempts to stop him or his attacks and continues with all his strength using the guy's words as fuel.  "TOUCH HER, WILL YOU?!" his anger rising at the moment.  He wasn't going to let this guy forget this moment, as he continued.  He got him on the ground and with each arch of his fist he pounds on the man's face and chest.  The strikes landed where they landed, however, the majority landed on his face.  The lightning struck with each pounding of flesh from the battle, for lack of a better word.  The storm raged from the outside as if it fueled his rage. 

The cook sees this and rushes out calling the other male chef from the back.  They didn't want this guy to get away with killing someone, for they knew how much Kristin liked him.  "That is ENOUGH!" the cook yelled.

As Josh begins pounding the guy and beating him to a pulp Kristin sighs as she gets down to Josh's level. She pulls on him trying to get him off. She whispers "Stop it is not worth going to jail over this guy. It is not even close to being worth it. I'm not gonna lose you because some stupid guy is drunk and an idiot. Please stop baby" She crawls back into the pool as she puts her face into her hands and begins to cry. She can't stand to see him fighting. She hates blood and knows that she is gonna have to clean him up since the guy hit back and Josh is kind of bleeding.

I nod to the cook as I thank him. They knew she was in love with Josh. She talked about him constantly 24/7 every day at work.

The cook pulls Josh off of him and looks Josh in the eyes.  "Look!" he points to Kristin, "she's crying because of YOU!"  "Do your damn job and be a man!" he yells at Josh and pushes him to Kristin.  The cook picks the man up and tends to his wounds; he starts apologizing.  He looks at Josh one more time and points to her.  "Go...," he shakes his head in disappointment. 

Josh only vaguely aware of the events looks at Kristin.  He feels ashamed, trying to defend her and his honor; realizing that he took that away with his actions.  He just hangs his head and looks at her barely mouthing, 'I'm sorry.'  He knows that she is irritated and embarrassed of his actions and that it could quite literally take weeks for her to forgive him.  He holds his hand out, bloody as it was.  His nose and left eye saw better days.  "I'm sorry babe...," was all that came out.

She sighs thinking that she loves him so much. She would always forgive him and she realized the only thing he wouldn't forgive is if he ever cheated on her. She could never ever forgive him for that. She was a fool and in love and she realized that love can do crazy things to you. "You should of just listened to me and stopped and ignored him. He wasn't worth even a word Josh. He wasn't. I wouldn't do anything with any other guy. Your the man I want. I just wish for once you listened to me. Just once in my life you would listen to me when I don't want you to do something."

She feels like he never ever listens to her. She feels like she talks to a brick wall sometimes. She looks at his bloody hands and his beat up face. "Your face looks horrible. You should have left it alone. "She looks at him as a tear runs down her face. She never wanted to see him like that.

"I'm sorry Kristin, the guy got to me...," he knew his excuses were nothing to her.  They were just a means to continue pushing the best thing to ever happen to him.  He looks at her and says, "I need to wash up."  He looks at her tear and with the none bloody hand he wipes the tear from her eye.  He goes to walk to the bathroom and turns to her, "You are right, I should have listened to you, but you know what made me do it?" He asks with a strange look on his face.

She sighs. "YOU left him get to you. You should have ignored it. He was just some low life drunk high off life guy. I just wish you would listen to me more. I really do." She sighs as she nods at him. "Go ahead i'll be here when you get back. Not sure why but I'm not leaving though I probably should. Guess i'm in love." She looks at him. "What made you do it?" She asks concerned.

"Its a crazy thing called love," was all he says, smiling, as he walks to the bathroom.  He washes his face and hands hoping that the asshole didn't mess him up too bad.  He looks in the mirror to see if he is hurt too badly and notices a dark circle around his eye.  Shouldn't be too bad, he thinks.  He finishes and wipes his hands, leaving the bathroom.

The cook comes over and looks at Kristin, "The guy will be fine and is so inebriated that he probably won't remember anything in the morning.  I am going to pay for a cab and take him home; Kristin please get a hold of Josh because next time he won't be as lucky."  The cook looks at her and then at Josh leaving the bathroom and shakes his head to help the man to the taxi that is waiting outside of the diner.

As he comes back she looks at him. "Let me go get some ice to put on your eye. Take the swelling down a bit." She smiles at him thinking that she knows that he loves her but that was just too much. "Please just settle yourself down okay. Relax and breath. That jerk really wasn't worth anything because baby I'm not going anywhere. Well other than the kitchen but I think you know what I mean." She sighs as she looks at him and she smiles thinking how badly they both need a trip away for a few days. She turns around "I love you" and she heads back to the kitchen to get an ice pack for his black eye.

He gives her one of his handsome goofy grins and mouths 'I love you too.'  He thinks about how much a getaway was needed for them both and smiled at the thought of a weekend with her.  It had been a while and he looked forward to the smell of her hair and the taste of her lips.  She always tasted like cherries to him; he assumed because of her chap stick or lip stick.  Whatever, he thinks, he was a guy and didn't care.  All he cared about was her.  He didn't take that traditional get a girl and ignore the girl role that other guys did.  He wanted her for months before asking her out.  Her beautiful eyes inspired him and made him think he was looking at an angel.  He wondered which heaven she fell out of, most of the time.  Her soft skin spoke to him in ways that nothing else could.  Every time he kissed it, he smelled her and it was euphoric.  God, he thinks, I do love her.  She turned me into a wimp, but man, I have her and I really don't have to pretend to be a man.  She makes me one just being with me.  Oh, he thinks, good line.  He waits for his princess to garner the ice and come back to him so he may flatter her yet again, hopefully make her give him a real smile and not one of these half disappointed ones.

She heads back into the kitchen to grab and ice pack and while she is back there she talks to the cook about Josh. "He really is a good guy ya know. He is just overly protective of me. I promise you it won't happen again. He is really a really good guy underneath his tough exterior. He treats me right and I love him. But of course you know that" She says as they discuss Josh for a few more minutes. She grabs an ice pack and wraps it in a paper towel so isn't extremely cold.

She walks out to him and hands him the ice pack. "Here put this on your eye. It'll make it feel a lot better. Promise" She sits down across from him as she gives him a half grin thinking about the first time that they ever meet. They were at some frat party and she was just here supporting a friend. She is not a drinker at all so she just had a pepsi. She saw him across the room and he was all over some girls and she thought wow he is a real player. She thought he was a real jerk and all into himself. She thinks who would of thought that three years later we would be together and hopelessly in love with one another. She is really excited to be spending some time alone with him since they haven't really been alone in awhile. She loved the fact that he supported every decision that she has ever made like abstaining from sex until marriage and abstaining from alcohol. Her decision to go back to school after she quit a few months prior. He was her rock and she loved him. so much.

The cook nods to her and says, "If he does that again, you know what I'll have to do..."  He doesn't want to say it and hopes that she understands that he has a business to run.  She can't have a half psycho crazed boyfriend beating his customers drunk or not.  He also knows that if customers harass her that she needs to tell him.

Josh looks at her after she comes back with the ice.  "I am sorry for hurting you babe," he wanted to tell her he was sorry.  The words were so hard because the meaning was so moot.  He just couldn't disappoint her again.  The party where they first met was just the first time he had spoken to her.  The times before he had seen her here and there; thinking she was cute.  Her beauty was only skin deep, though.  She was more than beautiful underneath, she was an angel.  She wasn't like the stuck up girls that he talked too, she was different.  When they get their lives together, I'm going to marry her, he thinks to himself.  He just smiles to her and gives her his loving eyes.

"I know I know if he does it again he won't be allowed back in here. I understand that you have your business to run. I do apologize if I messed it up. If you need me to cover extra shifts to repay you I will do that Sir" She says as she walks out to the booth where Josh is sitting.

"I know you were just protecting me baby but you can't do that. Next time you do and you won't be allowed in here. You can't go up beating random drunk guys that hit on me. You just need to trust that I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. I love you more than anything in the world. Your my rock. Always have been and always will." She smiles at him. At that party he was definitely flirting with her but at the time she thought he was just playing her but little did she know that 3 years later that conversation turned into the most amazing relationship. They had their ups and downs but all in all it was good. She smiled at him.

He listens to her hoping that she will let it go, eventually.  "I didn't mean to hurt you, baby," he tried to explain as inane as his attempt was, "it was the whole honor thing.  I'm sorry Kritstin, can you forgive me?"  He tried to look her in the eyes, but he was frustrated.  The more he tried for her; the more he screwed up.  The whole scenario was irritating and confusing to him.  He only wanted to be good for her and he knew that in the end, he probably would mess up.  He wanted her to love him, but he pushed her away with his attempt at protecting her like a man should.  That was what he believed anyway. 

The storm crashed outside louder than before and the wind is horrendous.  Some cars have begun to pull off the road as the rage outside continued.  People began to look out the window to see the weather carnage occurring.  Some even looked a little frightened.

She looks at him and she notices that he seems frustrated and confused that she is upset with him. "I know you didn't mean to hurt me. You never do it on purpose and I know that. Of course I forgive you baby. I'll always forgive you no matter what expect if you cheated on me. Now that  I couldn't forgive." He was such a good guy to her. He was always trying to protect her and she knew that he loved her more than anything in the world. She was in love with him and didn't care what anyone else had to say about it.

She looked at him shaking as she looked out the window. She hated thunderstorms because they scared her so much. It was clearly evident in how much she was shaking. She looked at him nervous.

Sensing her fear is getting the best of her, he looks at her.  "Hey, two things, ok?" he comforted, "One I am not a cheater and two; don't worry about that storm.  I won't let you get hurt by the weather," he continued to make her feel better.  "You want to go home or stay in here and wait out the storm?"  He sees that she is shaking and wraps his arms around her, holding her closely.  He whispers in her ear, "Don't be afraid, because your hero is here."  He wasn't about to let a storm hurt her. 

The wind continued to rage even as the rain thinned out.  The storm was getting better, but the wind was the deciding factor now.  The storm according to the news was reaching winds of 45 miles per hour, strange because it was simply a thunderstorm.

She smiled at him as she rested her head on his shoulder. "I know that you are not a cheater. I'm just saying that is something that I would be unable to forgive." She looks at him. "I wanna go home but what would you do?" She asks him. She wants him to not leave her side tonight. She is falling in love with him all over again. Her baby. "Your my hero and I love you more than anything in this world."

She puts her arms around him as she hugs him never ever wanting to let the love of her life go.

He has stayed with her before so it wasn't anything new.  "Hey I can leave my car here for the night right?" he asked her, "I can pick it up in the morning right?  It shouldn't get towed as long as you tell your boss about it."  He wanted to leave with her and drive her home personally.  I don't want to endanger you by not driving you myself, he thinks in his head.  He looks outside at the growing storm and hugs her back.  "How many days till the trip to your brother's?" he couldn't remember his left shoe without Kristin beside him.  He hugs her tightly hoping that she'll feel his love.

"Um yeah you can leave your car here. They have overnight parking you just have to pay um like $5 i think to keep it all night." She smiles as she looks up at him and kisses him lovingly on the lips. As he hugs her tight she can feel how much he loves her. She loves him just as much but more than she ever thought that she could love a man. She is head over heels in love.

She looks up at him.  "Well um 2 days..I was planning on leaving this friday whenever you can leave and spending saturday-tuesday there..Maybe i'll stay longer. I have a break from school that week and I'm off of work that entire week." She smiles as she holds his hand. Their three year relationship is coming up that sunday. "I love you" She randomly says.

"I'll hand the five to your boss and he can take care of it," Josh responds.  He can feel the warmth of her tender kiss and the affection shared in their love. 

"Just a couple of more work days and then it is a vacation with my girl," he gestured to her to look at the window.  The sky seemed quiet as they had been sharing a moment of love.  It was like the weather was in tune to the emotional feelings of the small town diner.  The wind no longer blew with the strength of the previous moments. 

At that moment on the radio, a song that had been dedicated to Kristin came on.  It had been dedicated to her by Josh after they had started dating.  The song "Your Guardian Angel," by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus played and Josh started to sing to her; knowing the words by heart.

She nods. "Sounds good to me babe. Thanks for taking care of me though not in the best way but still.

She looks at him wondering how the sleeping arrangements will go tonight. She still lives with her parents but her parents adore josh. They are happy that she has found a great guy that treats her right. "I'm just not sure how we will sleep tonight since mom and dad are both in town. Normally they are out of town but there home>" She shrugs.

"I can't wait to go away on vacation with you. Mike is excited to talk to you and hang out or whatever. I'm so glad you get along with my family. They adore you and THAT means the world to me."

As the song comes on she smiles as she looks up at him. "Did you request this you sneaky sneaky boy of mine?" She asks giggling as he starts to sing. He always looked cute when he sang.

After the song he kisses her and looks into her eyes.  "Maybe I did and maybe I didn't, the point is it came on and it tells you how much I care babe," he smiled through their break in the kiss.  He wants to tell her that she means the world to him, but words can't express his feelings.  He wants to show her the world, but emotions are stronger than actions.  He settles for an, "I love you."  Even though the 'I love you,' can't explain his heart; it's the closest thing. 

He looks into her eyes, "Yeah I know I won't stay tonight," disappointed he continues, "however, I will stay a little while with their permission.  Just to make you feel better babe." 

"Don't worry about your family, by the way," he reassures, "I will behave myself with them.  I want to show them why you like me, ok?"  He wanted to make her feel better.  "I am looking forward to chatting with Mike again too.  I am just glad he isn't one those big brothers who likes to beat up his little sister's boyfriends."

After he kisses her she smiles. "You know you are really quite the sneaky boy. Good thing that I love you so much or else it would get REALLYYY annoying" She said laughing as she held his hand. She looks at him as he told her that he loved her. She always loved when he said that because it was so real and it was cute coming from him. "I love you too."

She smiles in delight. "Well they may let you stay the night just not in my room. They have Mike's room still open so they may just have you sleep in there. You always know how to make me feel better."

"Your the one guy that I haven't had to worry about with regard to my family. I know they like you and that means the world to me. I'd tell you why I like you but there are WAYYYY too many reasons to list. " She smiles as she hugs him. "Gracie has been asking about you all week. It's been Uncle Josh this and Uncle Josh that." Gracie is her 2 year old little sister. She calls him Uncle Josh but she doesn't know how he feels about it. Gracie adores Josh. "At first he wanted to just because he thought you were a player. He knew your background but once he got to know you and saw how you treated me he was cool with us." She smiles.

"Sorry hun, but your just going to have to get annoyed because I'm going to sneak and surprise you," he grinned at her, "you can't know everything you know."  He wanted to be able to surprise her and see her blush.  He loved her smile and her hair and the list goes on and on.  He sat there thinking about her and him; it just made him happy. 

"I hope your brother doesn't mind me taking his old room," he gave her a grin.  He adored little Gracie probably as much as she adored him.  "I can't wait to give Gracie a hug," he continued.  Josh decides to let Kristin know how he feels about being called 'Uncle Josh.'  "Uncle Josh can't wait to give niece Gracie a peck on the cheek and a hug around the neck," it came out genuine because he was really starting to feel like he was apart of Kristin's family.  Having no family on his side to speak of, he needed the family atmosphere that they provided.

His family had abandoned him at a young age and he had grown up in the Social Security System under the rule of the state.  Orphanages and the such were his homes until he reached 16 and emancipated himself.  Getting a part time job and finishing school he was able to meet the love of his life Kristin a few years later.

She grinned at him then gave him a sad face. "Yes I can know everything. Tell me tell me" She says enthusiastically as she held his hand. "Pretty please with sugar on top>"

"No no he doesn't mind at all. He is so chill with you that it is pretty freaking awesome to me." She smiled loving the fact that he got along so well with her family. "Well Gracie told me that other day that her and her Uncle Josh are going to spend all day Friday together and not mommy or daddy or even krissy can come along. She is pretty insistent about it. I told her some of the day but she pouted and told me that NO me and Uncle josh spend whole day together." She smiled loving the fact that he got along so well with her family. It meant the world to her.

She grabbed a piece of paper as she began to write down how much she loved him. The list was numbered:
1. Your dimples 2. Your body 3. Your eyes 4. The way you make me laugh 5. Your kisses 6. Your hugs 7. The way you make me smile when I'm so down 8. Your text messages that are so easy going but mean the world to me 9. He looks at her and laughs about little Gracie.  "Well she and Uncle Josh are just going to have to make up the time that we won't have by playing even harder," he chuckles to himself.  He smiles allowing his dimples to come out thinking how fun it was to spend time with Gracie and when Kristin joined it was even better.

He looked at the list and smiled.  He puts it in his pocket and kisses her deeply.  Doing it in the way she loves, he cups his hands one on each of her cheeks and allows his soft lips to caress hers.  He makes sure he does it right.  He lets it linger a little and releases at the moment of ecstasy. He thought about his little secret and decided to tell her. 

He knew that she would love this little thought and he also knew she wasn't the kind prone to liking surprises.  He looks at her and smiles kissing her on her forehead.  He leans over to whisper the secret he has in his little mind to delight her.  "I know that I always forget our anniversary, but this year I haven't.  I will have something nice for you this year."

She smiles. "You and Gracie can spend the day together on Friday but Mom and Dad need me to go into the restaraunt on Friday so they um kind of well um needed a babysitter. I told them I knew a REALLY cute babysitter that could perhaps agree to it." She smiles up at him. Their family owns a restaraunt.

As he kisses her she smiles. "Mmm you taste even yummier than usual. Ya know I'm so lucky that my amazing boyfriend is such an amazing kisser. MM yum yum"

She shrugs not really believing him. "Yeah yeah sure whatever. You say that every year and still nothing big happens. It is not a big deal. It is life. I love you so that matters."

Hurt by her words, he continues to smile and pretend they didn't go through his 'Superman' armor.  He looks at her and says, "You'll see babe."  He smiles at her comment of him being 'yummy.'  She always tasted good, like cherries or peaches.  He told himself that it was her lip gloss or lip stick, whatever she put on.  Lately however, he had begun to convince himself that it was just her.  The taste was simply a concoction created by her own body, all natural.  He grinned and said, "Gracie better be ready for a fun time.  I have no problem being a really cute babysitter for her."  He laughed at the fun times that they were going to share.

She smiles. "I hoping that you can prove me wrong..What are you planning for us baby?" She smiles trying to get the secrets out of him. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just does not work. Time will tell.

"What are you and Gracie gonna do? She is going to be sooo excited when she finds out that Uncle Josh is spending ALL DAY with her. She will be bouncing off the walls. She really loves you. She was funny the other day. She said to me Krissy when is Uncle Josh going to come over and play. He can move in with us and be part of the family. I love Uncle Josh. He is the bestest uncle in the whole wide world." She doesn't understand that technically Josh isn't her uncle. But Kristin thinks it is so cute.

"Well if your not going to believe me then I guess I am not going to do anything until your surprised, huh?" he gave her his half smile puppy dog look and kissed her on the nose.  He grinned to himself about how he can always get one up on her when she wants to get bad.  Then he flips the conversation away from surprises and says, "About Gracie, I usually let her come up with the things she wants to do.  Dolls, dress up, or just slinging her around on my shoulders.  She just likes to hang out with me," he grins at her, "sometimes we sit down with some pop corn and watch a movie she likes."  He enjoyed spending time with Gracie, because with her he felt more apart of Kristin's family then with anyone else; with the exception of Kristin of course.

"No no you can surprise me. I love surprises baby. Well good ones so make it good." She says as she pokes him in the head and giggles.

They had begun to head home to her house. He was driving and she was smiling over at him. "So when you went to the bathroom back at the restaraunt I texted mom and asked her if you could stay over. She said of course and that she is going to be making up the room nice for you. Then I texted her later and she said that she told Gracie that you were coming over and she has been screaming UNCLE JOSH for the past 3 1/2 hours. Non-stop." She smiles loving that he can do that.

She held tightly onto his hand.

He smiled at her glad that she was happy and said, "Yeah well I can't wait to see her as well.  Gracie is special and the first thing I am going to do is give her the biggest hug."  He continued to make the turns to her house.  He had memorized the route and could drive it blind folded.  He was so nervous when he first met her, but he calmed down enough to get his emotions under control to get through their first date.  He laughed remembering that, it seemed so far away only 3 years later.

She smiles as she looks up at him. "It really means a lot to me that your are so good to her. It means the whole world to me that you care so much about her and that she loves you so much. It gives me that extra boost of confidence in us." She smiled as he drove and they got closer and closer to her house. Her parents hadn't seen him in a few weeks so it was exciting.

She looked over at him as he laughed. "What are you laughing at mister?"

"Just thinking about us," he smiled at her, "moreover me and the way I felt about you in the beginning."  He laughed a little more and pulled into the driveway.  He put the car into park and turned looking into her eyes.  He smiled and kissed her softly, trying not to smile at her while doing it.  He couldn't stop thinking about her and him, how they might make it.  A life, a long life together and maybe husband and wife.  Who knows?

As she kissed him back she smiled. "Oh yeah and how did you feel mister. I knew when you walked up to my house that we would be perfect together. I just knew you and me were perfect. I was worried about you with my family with my dad and brothers but my dad thinks your the greatest and my brothers are so chill with you. It is something I've never had before. I love it and I love you"

She sits back as she thinks how perfect her life is. She can envision them getting married and having kids. Life is perfect.

He smiles at her with a satisfied grin, "I was nervous... a little."  He allowed that much still trying to keep his cool.  "Now I'm not, though," he said turning the tide,"I am totally confident in you and I."  He leans over to kiss her sweetly again, just to drive home the ball.  He caress' her cheek with his hand as he kisses her and smiles enjoying the taste of her lips.

However, as they were kissing he didn't not notice the individual standing in front of the car.  This man held a dominant, but kind fatherly figure about himself and he stood there staring at the make out session between this man and his daughter.  He cleared his throat after a few moments.  "Good evening kids," he said with a wiry tone to his amused voice.

"Oh Mr cool is nervous. I love that. It is hilarious" She says laughing. He put up this facade that he was Mr. Super Cool and nothing ever made him nervous. So it was cute to see that something actually did. She kisses him back as she giggles as she looks up at her Dad.

She jumps immediately out of the car as she runs up to her dad and hugs him almost knocking him over. "Hi Daddy. Thanks for letting Chris stay. It means a lot to us." She smiles. This is her second boyfriend and she seems so much more happy than ever before. Chris still doesn't know the details of how bad the last relationship got. She can't go there yet. She stands next to Chris as she holds his hand and leans her head on to his shoulder.

Josh opens the driver side door and steps out.  Always a little nervous he readjusts his shirt as Kristin comes over.  She lays her head on his shoulder as her father scans him up and down trying to decipher his movements like code.  What do you want to do to my daughter, seems to just pour out of his eyes.  He has been relatively accepting to Kristin and his relationship, but there has always been that quiet watch over his actions toward Kristin.  Some fathers never truly get used to their daughters dating or marrying I guess, he thinks.

Jack, Kristin's father, just looks at Josh for a moment making sure he is aware that he had better behave.  Then he extends his hand for good manners and shakes Josh's hand.  He remembered that Josh isn't that last guy Kristin dated and he might provide the extra happiness in Kristin's life.  He points to the house and says, "Come on in, your mother is waiting to hug you Kristin."  Moving slowly Jack starts into the house.

Kristin looks over at her very cute boyfriend as her dad talks to him. She giggles a little bit thinking how cute he looks and how nervous he is. It makes her feel happy because it really means that he cares A LOT ABOUT HER. And that right there means the world to her.

Kristin walks ahead into the house excited to see her mom and catch up with her Mom. Josh and her Dad stay behind to kind of talk a little bit. That was her Dad's plan anyways until little Gracie looks out the door and sees him. She is a good listener and knows she isn't allowed out of the house unless Mommy or Daddy says it is okay. They told her to stay in. She sees him and starts screaming at the top of her lungs "UNCLE JOSH UNCLE JOSH UNCLE JOSH IS HEREEEEE..UNCLE JOSH" She repeats over and over again. Kristin and Mom try to pick her up and hold her but she screams. "No put down me want UNCLE JOSH..no touch mommy and krissy..MY UNCLE JOSH" She screams his name over and over.

He smiles as Kristin's dad nods towards Gracie and Josh runs over.  "Heeeyy!" he yells and picks her up into a big hug, "I missed you sweety, how are you doing?"  He almost forgot everyone was there and just hugs Gracie like he hasn't seen her in a thousand years.  He looks at her happy face and realizes how wonderful kids will be if he and Kristin ever reach that point.  He just hugs her again and looks at Kristin smiling, mouthing 'I love you.'

Gracie gives her Uncle Josh a huge bear hug. "UNCLE JOSH here..Uncle Josh play..But no daddy mommy or krissy. Uncle Josh and Gracie only. I good Uncle Josh. How is favlite (favorite) uncle?" She has the widest grin on her face. She is so happy that they are going to spend some time together. She doesn't realize anyone else is home. Kristin smiles wide as she mouths back "Love you more"

As Gracie leads him away to play he kisses Kristin on the way out of the room and says, "I...love you most."  He smiles at her as his excitement grows knowing that he is making Gracie's day and truly she is making his day so much better as well.  It is as if she is really his daughter and the uncle thing makes him feel good.

She leads him to her room. "Uncle Josh play Barbie. Mommy Daddy Krissy order pizza. Me and Uncle Josh had chocolate ouce cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate sprinkles. Park tomorrow and roller coaster tomorrow and fair tomorrow and swimming tomorrow and cookies tomorrow" She keeps repeating random stuff over and over again. "I love my Uncle Josh" She smile as she gets out her barbies.

He gets down on his knees smiling at the young girl.  "Sounds like fun Gracie," he loves when she gets excited.  "Uncle Josh loves you too," he thinks of Kristin, "hopefully Krissy wants to keep him around a little while longer."  He wanted to feel that confirmation from someone that wasn't her so that he would know that is what she truly wanted.

Her father comes over to her and hugs Kristin.  "How are you doing sweet heart?" he asked in his loving father tone, "come get yourself something to drink and sit down."  He loves his daughter and just wants to see her happy.

Gracie laughs. "No Uncle Josh you go no where. You stay with Krissy so you be Uncle Josh forever. Krissy says that Krissy and Uncle Josh are in love just like Mommy and Daddy. Someday Krissy and Uncle Josh will be Mommy and Daddy too. But your my Uncle Josh forever."She smiles as she hugs him. She loves him so much.

She grabbed a water bottle out of the kitchen as she sat down at the kitchen table. "I'm good Dad. Well okay I'm amazing. Dad I've never been in this place before. I'm on cloud nine everyday. I think he's the one. I love him Dad".

Josh smiles at the wonderful words coming out of Gracie's mouth.  "You know I love Krissy with all my heart," he looks at Gracie, "but your my girl."  He smiles at her and gives her a hug, "Uncle Josh looks forward to seeing you and you just made his day perfect."  He picks up a doll and starts playing with it.  Moving an arm here and emulating her walking.

"Good," her dad says, "my little girl deserves the best."  "For now take Josh though," he grins at her.  He walks into the kitchen and grabs a water as well and turns to completely surprise his daughter, "So when is the wedding?"  He contains his smile in a straight and serious face to see what his daughter says.

She smiles. "I tell Krissy that I Uncle Josh's girl and not Krissy. Uncle Josh what we do tomorrow. I wanna spend day with Uncle Joshie." She picks up a doll and hits him on the head as she laughs. "Barbie hit Uncle Josh. That's funny." She laughs.

"Wedding?? Nothing yet. I would love to marry him someday. It means a lot to me that Gracie loves him as much as she does. That means a lot to me Dad. Jordan wasn't like that at all with Gracie. Josh is different in a good way. God Dad I'm in love.

He chuckles and says, "Krissy knows what Uncle Josh is going to be doing, so you'll have to ask her."  He doesn't want to disappoint such a spirited little girl whom he loves dearly.  He emulates her actions and smacks himself in the head to get her to laugh again.  He makes a sound to show that he has been hit and falls to the floor.

"Good, baby," he walks over and kisses her forehead.  "Jordan wasn't a lot of things, but if Josh makes you happy then I wish you all the best Krissy."  He loves his daughter and hopes that Josh isn't another Jordan.  His anger runs deep for her last boyfriend and as he thinks of Jordan, Kristin sees a dark cloud appear over her father.

"No. No ask Krissy. Uncle Josh take me out. No care what Krissy say" She says starting to become defiant. That is not the normal way that Gracie acts. She laughs when Uncle Josh hits himself in the head. "Uncle Josh owwie. Oh no my Uncle Joshie got owwie. That funny. " She smiles as she smacks his on the head again with the Barbie. She laughs hysterically.

She smiles but then looks at him with a frown on her face. "Dad what's wrong? Talk to me you know I'm always here to listen. What's up?" He asks looking at him confused. He is not exactly sure what is going on.

Josh looks at Gracie and smiles at her for a moment.  "You need to listen to Krissy, Mom, and your Dad ok?" he wanted to set a good example.  "Your a very good girl, but that is not what good girls say, right?" he didn't want to allow that kind of thinking to go unchecked.  He smacks himself before she can get upset, hopefully...

"Thinking of Jordan," he says solemnly, "he hurt you so bad and I always want to hurt him."  Her father knew about his blood pressure, but this was his daughter and he would do anything for her.  If that Jordan or that Josh ever hurt her, his fury would be unstoppable.  He shook his head and his face became beat red from his rising level.  This simply by thinking of the pain Jordan caused HIS daughter.  "Impudent little wretch...," he says with a angry fist.

She smiles back at her Uncle Josh. "NO NO NO NO NO NO" She screams at the top of her lungs. "No listen to Krissy. Listen to Uncle Josh. I uncle josh's girl NOT krissy" She gives him a cute sweet smile as giggles. " I love MY UNCLE JOSH". She says in a way that makes her sound spoiled.

"I know Dad. He did some really bad bad things. But Dad you need to relax. Settle down. Your blood pressure is going to get high so just sit down and relax. Please." There were a few things that he did that no one really knew about. No one else knew but her. "I'm done with him..It's over so please relax Daddy> "

Josh gives her a hug and a kiss on the head smiling and says, "Please don't yell honey; you'll wake the neighbors."  He gives her another hug and the proceeds to tickle her.  "Now you are mine," he says as he pretends to eat her, "nom, nom, nom."

Her father looks at her, "Well at least he is gone, but I wonder if you're not telling me everything about Jordan."  He eyes her and then gives her a hug, "I love you sweetheart, that's all."  He starts to sit down when he hears Gracie scream and he darts up the stairs hoping it isn't another Jordan type hurting his little girl upstairs.

"Uncle Josh no yell. Uncle Josh is boss not mommy not daddy not Krissy." She giggles and laughs hysterically as her favorite uncle tickles her to no end. "Uncle Josh is silly"

"What else would there be Dad?" She asks him wondering if she should really tell him everything that happened. She doesn't want to make his blood pressure go up anymore than it already is. As her Dad runs upstairs she screams up to him. "Dad Josh isn't hurting Gracie." She sighs as she heads upstairs.

Josh looks up hearing the heavy footsteps outside the room and stops tickling Gracie.  He looks to see a stern faced father looking in.  "Hey Jack is everything ok?" he asks not realizing what is going on.

"Is everything ok?" says Jack looking at Gracie, "what was the screaming?"  He looked at Josh and then at Gracie realizing that everything is ok and that he overreacted because of the Jordan conversation.  He looks behind him to see Kristin coming up the stairs to him.

Jack looks at his little girl for an answer and Gracie smiles wide. "Daddy go bye bye. Krissy go bye bye. Uncle Josh and Gracie play Barbie and tickles. Daddy, Uncle Josh and Gracie go swimming, roller coaster, park, candy store, toy store, park, zoo tomorrow..No DADDY MOMMY OR KRISSY" She says to him very loudly. "I Uncle Josh's favorite girl. Go bye bye Daddy and Krissy"

She says to her Daddy.

He looks at Kristin and looks at Josh both get an apologetic look and he walks over to Gracie picking her up.  "I love you my little girl," he says with gritted teeth, but lovingly, "You, however, drive me CRAZY and I LOVE YOU."  He starts tickling his daughter, Gracie. 

Josh walks over to Kristin and kisses her.  "What's going on?" he asks with an innocence about him.  He looks at Gracie and her father; then back at Kristin.

Gracie starts to laugh as her Daddy tickles her. For a minute she forgets Uncle Josh left. "I love you too Daddy" She says as she laughs hysterically.

Kristin kisses him back and whispers. "Dad is worried about me still. Just with everything that happened with my ex. He is just in the scared mode. Thinking that your gonna hurt Gracie but he sees that you adore her like your.." She almost slips saying own. "He just knows that you adore her. That's all.

Gracie hops out of her dad's arms falling onto the ground but gets up and pulls at Uncle Josh's pants. "Uncle Josh uppie. Uppie Uncle Josh." She grabs Krissy and smacks her. "NO touch my Uncle Josh, Krissy. No touch" She smacks her again. She is getting possessive. Not the normal Gracie.

Josh smiles lightly and says, "Please don't smack Krissy."  He leans down and kisses her on the forehead, "I am your Uncle Josh and no one will take that from you, alright?"  He wants to show that he won't allow children to walk all over him or anyone else, however, he tries to demonstrate a stern, but loving tone.  "I am your Uncle Josh don't you worry." 

He looks up at Kristin with eyes that scream that he is almost ready for a family life, but he can't do that now.  Not in front of her father who is still trying to believe that he isn't another...umm that guy's name Jordan...  He needs to demonstrate that he isn't a Jordan and relieve her father of the worry. 

He puts his hand through Gracie's hair and softly whispers just enough for Gracie and Kristin to hear, "Like my own."  He kisses Gracie on the cheek and stands up.

Gracie giggles at her Uncle Josh. "Uppie Uppie Uppie" She tells him as she begins to whine. She is really attached to Josh very attracted to him. "You my Uncle Josh but Krissy no touch Josh. I'm his girl not you Krissy" She says pointing at her as she smacks her one last time.

Jack looks at both of his girl and he is so happy that both of her girls are smiling. He has NEVER seen that before with one of Kristin's boyfriends. He thinks wow Krissy's right this guy really is a stand-up guy. He is so good with Gracie. If it had been Jordan he would have been yelling, screaming, and possibly hitting little Gracie. He had a mean streak. But Josh is a good guy especially after seeing how loving he is towards Gracie.

He walks over to Josh as he extends his hand to shake Josh's hand. "I want to thank you for treating Krissy right and good and always for playing with Gracie. We would love to have you as our babysitter tomorrow if you can. We would of course pay you. You have our respect"

Josh looks at Kristin's father and hugs him, not shaking the hand.  He gives him a big hug and says, "I will watch Gracie because I love Gracie, dad.  I don't need payment for having fun."  He finishes the hug and looks at Jack's eyes, "I love Kristin and Gracie.  You and your wife are like parents to me and both of you treat me well.  You can't find that or buy something like that anymore."  He looks at Kristin's eyes hoping that he didn't go to far spilling out his heart.

His Dad is grinning wide. He thought that if one of Kristin's boyfriends called him "dad" he would get mad but instead he was extremely happy. He really liked this guy and how he treated both of his girls. "That means a lot to us Josh and you are like the son that we never had so thank you for being the good guy that you are."

Gracie tugs at Josh's pants again. "Uppie Uppie Uppie Uncle Josh. Krissy NO TOUCH my josh. Go away you poo poo" She laughs as she giggles thinking it is funny as she hits her sister. She is very very possessive of Josh. To a point it's cute.

Josh picks up Gracie smiling at Kristin's dad and at his beautiful Kristin as well.  "I love you all and I thank you for your love and trust of me," he wanted to finish the family moment up with something good.  He leaned over to Kristin and kissed her sweetly on the lips.  "I am in love with you beautiful," he liked to finish nicely giving himself a clean shine of words.  It isn't that he didn't mean it, though, quite the opposite.  He knew that these were truthful words and that when a guy abstained from expressing his heart and/or feelings he only downed himself in the eyes of his significant other, i.e. Kristin.

Her Dad tries to pick up Gracie and give them a moment of piece and some alone time. "Come on Gracie lets go play Barbies and let Uncle Josh and Krissy have some alone time"

Gracie gives him a mad look and screams "NO NO NO NO. No touch Daddy. Go away. Uncle Josh and Gracie play Barbies. No Daddy or Krissy. Go away poo poo" She says hitting her dad and sister. "I want my Uncle Josh and no one else NOW" She screams as she begins to whine.

Josh looks at Kristin and then at their dad and says, "I think someone is getting tired."  He knows that it isn't his decision, but he also knows that it isn't like Gracie to hit people and scream.  He knows she is normally well behaved and that this means; normally that Gracie is tired.  He looks at Kristin and kisses her asking, "Do you want me to put her to bed?"  He looks back at the dad and says, "If you want Jack, I can do it."  He puts his hand around Kristin's hoping that her dad won't be mad at him.  He isn't trying to get rid of Gracie, but he does love Gracie and has been trying learn Gracie's sleeping schedule.

Jack looks at his two girls and smiles. "Wow this guy is good and he is really good guy" He thinks to himself. He really really appreciates this guy and is glad that Kristin found him. "Yeah it is about her bedtime. I would try and get her to go to sleep but she would kick and scream if I tried to grab her. If you don't mind putting her down for me I would very much appreciate that. We can talk the 4 of us later if you want. Thanks Josh."

Gracie looks at her Dad. "No tired Daddy. GO AWAY" She screams. She is really tired and she kicks, screams, and sometimes bites when she is really tired. She has been up since 6am waiting for her Uncle Josh. It is about 8:30 pm at this point.

Josh picks her up and takes her over to her bed and sets her on it.  "You want Uncle Josh to stay with Kristin so you can see him all the time?  If you want that then you need to go to bed because Uncle Josh needs to talk to Kristin and daddy.  He needs to talk to them so he can come and see you.  They can tell Uncle Josh to never come back; so you and I both need to behave, right?"  He tries to help her understand, but he isn't perfect and doesn't know how to help her understand.  "Don't worry Uncle Josh loves you."

She looks up at her Uncle Josh as a single tears runs down her face. "No Daddy don't take Uncle Josh away. No Daddy meanie. I don't like him. I want my Uncle Josh but Daddy is a big meanie." She thinks that her Uncle Josh means that her Dad is going to tell her that Uncle Josh won't ever be able to see her again. She is sort of confused at the moment. "Daddy and Krissy two big fat meanies. No like them. I like Uncle Josh more." She says whining as she kicks and screams.

"No,no,no...sweetheart," he tries to explain, "Daddy didn't say that and neither did Krissy."  He kisses Gracie on the head, "I need to talk to them so that I can tell them about my day."  He tries to put it in words, "I love you and they love you and ... all of us just want you to get your sleep."  "Uncle Josh will be here in the morning, ok?"  He wants to make her smile because the tear is breaking his heart.  Gracie is the kind of little girl that everybody gives their heart to because she is so cute.  "I worded it wrongly ok and that was bad Joshy," he smacks his hand to illustrate.

She smiles as she nods her head understanding what he means now. "Uncle Josh tuck me into bed and read me a story like Daddy does? Uncle Josh stay forever and ever and ever. You my favorite Uncle. I love Uncle Josh. Uncle Josh go swimming, park, zoo, candy store, toy store, roller coaster, ice cream, with Gracie tomorrow." She smiles up at him just like the sweetie she is normally.

"Hey how about I be sitting here when you wake up in the morning," he tries to compromise with her.  He knows she can get up as early as six in the morning.  "I will be here waiting until you fall asleep and in the morning be here when you wake up ok?."  He then proceeds to sing to her in a very sweet tenor voice.  'You are my sunshine,' is the song of his choice to sing to her.

She smiles and nods as she gets under the covers and smiles as her Uncle Josh sings to her. "I love Uncle Josh. Goodnight" She says as she listens to the song and a few minutes later Gracie is sound asleep under the covers. She is smiling wide as she sleeps.

He kisses her forehead and smiles at her, "Goodnight, sweetheart."  He gets up and moves to the doorway making sure all of her lights are off in the room, for once feeling like a father and liking it. 

He goes downstairs and looks around for Kristin and her father.  He sees them in the living room and maneuvers to them smiling.  "She's asleep now," he says grinning from ear to ear.

Kristen smiles at her amazing boyfriend. "Thanks Honey. That's the quickest Gracie has ever gone down. Thanks. Come on sit down. We were just talking. Mom had to go into the restaraunt for a few last minutes things. " She smiles up at him as she pats the seat next to her as she extends her hand to him.

Josh comes over and kisses Kristin on the lips and says, "I am happy to do it."  He smiles at her and looks at the dad and says, "Gracie is the perfect little girl, you all make me feel very welcome, thank you."  He removes his keys from his pocket and puts them on the table.

Jack having seen his keys remembers that he took the store keys off of the key chain and rushes into the kitchen.  He picks them up and in a huff runs past them and says, "Your mom forgot the keys I'll get them to her.  Take care of Gracie and behave!.."

Kristin laughs at her Dad as she looks at Josh. "Well I guess it is just me and you for awhile until Dad gets back. Babe thanks for being so good to my family and Gracie. She really adores you. I can see that she is starting to get a little possessive of you. I think it is kind of cute to a point but you are so good at talking to her and making her understand things. And I love you so much for that"

She smiles at him as she strokes his hand smiling. She was never this happy before. Endings things with the ex was the best decision she ever made. Without it she wouldn't have meet Josh. Josh doesn't know everything about the relationship with Jordan. She isn't ready to open that yet.

"Well I do mess up occasionally," he tries to explain, "there are times were I explain things in the wrong fashion and she doesn't understand."  He looks at Kristin and then down a little at the floor, "I think sometimes I might be making it worse for you and your family when it comes to her behavior."  He looks back at Kristin, "Honey I love you very much and it is cute the way she likes me and everything, but I don't want to make things difficult for your family."  He doesn't know what he wants to say and so he surely can't put it the way he wants to.  "I guess what I am trying to say is; I want to be good for you, Gracie, your mom, and your dad.  I don't want to be a hindrance to Gracie's growth process; I guess I feel that way sometimes."

She laughs as he talks about Gracie. "Oh honey she is a little girl still. She just turned 2 so she will get confused easily. Don't you worry because it really isn't anything out of the ordinary" She smiles at him thinking how cute he is. "Plus Dad and I were talking about how you are with Gracie and he had nothing but positive things to say about you. He talked about how much he appreciates the fact that you are so good to me and to Gracie. He doesn't think of you as a hindrance at all to this family. He thinks of you as the son he never had. She has always acted up around how should I say it her "heroes" babe"

She smiles at him. "Babe you are so amazing with her. Just last week she was going on and on about Uncle Josh. She told me that "Uncle Josh my hero. I love him". She truly adores you babe and that right there means the world to me. She is so important to me and to see that she is important to you means a lot to me. You are so good for me and my entire family. I love you more than I thought I could love a man" She kisses him on the lips as she leans her head on his chest.

Josh can do nothing, but smile and hold his girlfriend.  He kisses her head and simply strokes her hair.  "I'm glad that I don't disappoint you all the time, dear," he conveyed with her head on his chest, "I'm sorry I am so macho all the time."  Her hair felt so smooth in his hand and he smiled feeling the beauty.  Everything about Kristin was gorgeous and every moment of his life he tried to figure out how she had been given to him.  She, who was a angel and him who was a tramp from the wrong side of the street.  An orphan, a hot head, and sometimes a unforgiving man, who had the luxury of being with a beautiful upper middle class act girl like Kristin.  Man, I am truly lucky, he thought to himself.

"Oh babe you have never disappointed me babe. Never you are and will always be the rock that holds me up. I like your machoness babe. It is what attracted me to you in the first place. It's sexy" She says smiling. She loves her boyfriend so much. He is the most amazing person that she has ever met. She quickly got up and when into the kitchen to grab a picture and handed it to him. It was a picture that Gracie had drawn of her family. On the top it said "Gracie's family." Gracie asked Krissy to write the words that she told her. In the picture she had Mommy, Daddy, Krissy, Gracie, and Uncle Josh. She had hearts all over the paper. "Here babe. Gracie made this and she said that it is "Uncle Josh's picture."

A few minutes later Kristin's Dad and Mom walk in as Kristin and Josh are talking and holding hands.

He smiles and has a small tear in his right eye.  He tries to hide the tears so he can be macho for her, but to no avail.  However, only a single tear rolls down his cheek; which he wipes away immediately.  His smiling just widens as he looks at Kristin and kisses her.  "I love you and Gracie... and someday when we are ready... I will love our child," it was a moment that he never thought would come.  He makes sure the tears are wiped away as the mother and father come walking in.  He puts his hands into Kristin's hands.

She smiles as she sees the tear roll down his face. "Oh babe you are so sweet ya know that. " She looks at him with a shocked expression on her face. It was a mix of surprise and utter happiness. All she ever wanted was to hear him say something like that. It made her so happy. "Babe I know you will. You know we are going to make the perfect family someday. Just perfect"

Kristin's dad walks in. "What are you two lovebirds up to?" He says as her parents sit across from them.

Josh looks up, "Nothing sir, we were just talking."  He didn't want to have her dad flip out on him about talking to Kristin about having kids.  He just smiled and hoped Kristin would take over.  He just gave her a quick hug before letting her parents talk to her.

He just looked down at the floor hoping that he hadn't made a complete idiot of himself and that Kristin was truly happy, because he had meant every word.

"Josh relax. It's my Dad. Remember he is super cool. Dad we were just talking about us and our future and having kids someday. I told you Dad Josh is in it for the long haul. He cried when I came him the picture Gracie made. He loves that little girl Dad. I proved you wrong today Dad. And I love that." She says as she looks at her Dad smiling wide.

She grabs Josh's hand as she talks to her Dad.

Her dad looks at Josh and then at his wife with an astonished look on his face.  He smiled looking at Josh's insecurity and grinned.  "Well if your in it 'for the long haul," he grins again, "then I guess I am just going to have to call you son."  "And yes dear," he smiles at his daughter, "you proved me wrong."  Happy that he was wrong, he kisses his daughter on the head.

Josh just lets her hand in his and his eyes grow huge when he hears what her father said.  "Uhh, thank you sir?" a little surprised, but pleased.  However, he was more surprised.

Kristin smiles at Josh as her Dad calls him "son". It really means a lot to her that her family really and truly respects and agrees with their relationship. "I love when your wrong Dad. It's funny ya know. Because normally you are never wrong but this time you were. But it was a good thing that you were so very wrong"

"Son it is a good thing. I respect and honor and agree and fully 1 million percent support the relationship that you have with my daughter. So what's new with you two lovebirds?" He hasn't really had a conversation with his daughter in awhile so it is nice to just sit down and talk.

Josh smiles having been accepted with the final words into Kristin's family.  He was officially considered a 'son' before becoming Kristin's dad's son-in-law.  He grins a little more and looks lovingly at Kristin, "Like my baby said dad, we have been discussing our future together and thank you for supporting us fully one million percent."  He smiles as he says that and looks at his 'dad.'

Kristin smiles. "So what's been new around here with you Dad and Mom? I feel like I haven't been home in so long. I've been home but I've been working the late nights so when I come home your sleeping and I never see you. I'm glad that I finally told them I can only work weekends so now I hopefully can spend some more time with Josh and you guys. I'm still going in to help tomorrow right?"

Her father turns to her and says, "Yes the business is doing well and your mother is doing very fine..."  He grins at his wife and winks at her.  "Also I do expect you there tomorrow and let my son play with my younger daughter," he smiles when he thinks of Josh having fun with his daughter.

"Good. It is so cool to have family owned business Dad and I'm so glad that I can help out. Now that I am not working as much I can spend more time at the restaraunt helping you out. Gracie is so excited to spend time with Josh tomorrow. Josh was worried that maybe he was leading Gracie's growth in the wrong direction. He didn't want to be screwing up what you and Mom have been doing. I told him he wasn't but what do you think Dad?" She asks him as she smiles at Josh.

"My, my, no...," her father trailed off with a shake of his head, "Josh you are doing fine m'boy, your doing just peachy.  Thank you for setting a good example for Gracie and being a true man for Kristin.  She'd been lacking a good man in her life and I think your doing well.  What do you think dear?" he looks at his wife who had been primarily quiet tonight. 

Josh simply smiles and nods a thank you while holding Kristin's hand.  He leans over and kisses her on the cheek and whispers, "I love you."  He hugs Kristin as her parents talk about how wonderful life is between Gracie and him.

Her mother looked at Kristin and smiled as she nodded. "Oh but of course you are doing amazing with our little Gracie. You should hear how much she talks about you when your not here. She never did that with anybody else. She really looks up to you and you are doing a wonderful job setting an example for her."

Kristin holds his hand as she whispers back "I love you too baby."

Her dad looks at Josh and smiles, "Well how is everything been going?"  "Job and school," he passes his gaze between Josh and Kristin, "lay it on me."  He tries to act cool and use their lingo, but fails rather epically.  He never got the grasp of their talk and was still stuck in his generation with many things.  His wife grasped things better than he did especially when it can to youth.

Josh looked at Kristin to answer.  He was just trying not to talk so that he wouldn't do what he really has been doing with Kristin and that was sticking his foot in his mouth.  He just grips Kristin's hand and in her palm maneuvers his finger to draw the letters with his fingernail Y_O_U_R_P_E_R_F_E_C_T.

"Dad ya know the cool lingo your using that you think makes you cool doesn't so much." She laughs. They always tease each other lovingly. "Well for me things have been going good. School is busy but its school i guess and work is good glad to be cutting back hours. Just the normal freaks that hit on me. But no worries Josh got my back. What about you Josh?" SHe asks smiling at him.

She grabs his hand and maneuevers her fingers to draw the words S_E_X_Y_P_E_R_F_E_C_T_L_O_V_E_O_F_M_Y_L_I_F_E

He smiles at her with her finder trace words and says, "Well work is doing ok for me and I was thinking of trying college again this time for diesel mechanics."  He didn't know what else to say and added, "Our three year anniversary is coming up and I am looking forward to surprising Kristin.., but she doesn't believe me."

Her father laughed at his statement thinking of all the times he'd forgotten their wedding anniversary and how many times he had hit that 'dog house.'  He knew better now and remembers that before he remembers his own birthday.

"Well Dad you boys are all the same. You would forget your head if it wasn't attached to the rest of your body. I'm hoping something special happens but you never truly do know. One thing I know, Dad, is that I love him more than anything in this world and that I would truly be lost without Josh in my life." She smiles at him.

She looks at Josh when he talks about  going back to school. She had no idea he was planning that. "Your going back to school?" She asks but happy about it.

Josh looks at Kristin and smiles, "I am thinking about it, but yeah, I would like too.  You've kind of inspired me to do it," he admitted, "I've been a little jealous that is something that I would like to try.  It would get me out of the long hours while maintaining the steady cash flow."  He wasn't sure if he should tell them now, but the cat was out of the bag.  He hoped that he would make a final decision soon and not disappoint anyone either way.

Jack looked at them and smiled at the young love.  He gets up out of his chair and kisses Kristin on the head.  He then moves to Josh and hugs him like a father would.  Something he knew Josh didn't get to experience when he was younger.  He felt bad that Josh had missed out on a lot of wonderful things in life because of some lousy parents.  He smiled at them again and walked into the kitchen where his wife had positioned herself.

As her parents walk out Kristin smile up at him. "I think that it is wonderful that you are thinking about going back to school. I think you should definitely do it. You would be so wonderful at it just like everything else in your life. I can help you out with anything ya need babe. I'm always here for you and remember I love you more and more every single day" She kisses him as she holds his hand.

"So what are you and Gracie going to do tomorrow?"

He gives a half a grin at her thinking of how he needs to get his butt in gear too.  He wants to make her happy so that she won't leave him.  He nods with a smile and says, "I know babe and we'll talk tomorrow more about it ok?"

"Gracie and I are going to do what ever she wants tomorrow.  Watch some movies and laugh while playing games and barbies," he shrugs, "or what ever she is in too."  He laughs thinking of little Gracie, "I love her babe, I think if I ever had a little girl; I'd want her to be like Gracie and grow up to be like you."  He wanted to add on that romantic touch.  He kisses her lips softly and lovingly, the way she likes.

She nods as she smiles at him. "Sounds godo we will talk about it tomorrow but remember don't do this to make me happy do this to make YOU happy. Babe as long as we are together I am happy. You are the love of my life and honestly I don't know where the hell I would be in my life if I had never met you. I made the best decision in the whole world when I said yes." She smiled wide.

She laughs. "She is going to want to take you EVERYWHERE and she is going to be so attached I don't know how it will go when we have to leave on Tuesday. She truly loves you and I would love to have a little girl just like Gracie but if I had a boy I wouldn't want him to be like Mike when he was little. That kid was crazy." She laughs as she remember her brother as a little kid. She smiles as he kisses her so sweet and lovingly.

"Well what ever happens babe, we're going to need some sleep ok?" he suggested.  He looks at her with eyes to penetrate her soul and send a divine message to it.  That message is his eternal love and affection.  "Do you want me to tuck you in?" he asked her smiling.  He grins at thinking of children with her.  He must have really been in love with her.  "I don't think I am in love with you anymore," he says looking for her eyes of hurt.  "I think it transcends love," he says to her, "I think I am past need."  He looks at her lovingly, but drowsily.  "I don't know what I am saying babe," he smiles, "let's go to bed baby."  He hugs her and kisses her neck gently.

She smiles at him. "Yeah I'm getting kind of tired so I definitely think we should head up to bed and get some sleep." She looks at him with complete and utter happiness. She knows what he means about them. She loves him more than anything in this world. He is the most important thing to her. She has no idea where she would be without him. He is her rock, always has been, and always will be. "I know your just telling me I'm your world right..because babe your my world." She smiles as she kisses him and stands up. "You can tuck me in and then I'll maybe see you in the mornng depending what time your up. " She holds her hands out for his hands.

He looks at her smiling because she understands him.  He grabs her up as he stands and hugs her.  "I don't know what I would do if I had messed up and lost you.  I think that you will be mine, forever."  He smiles at her as he walks her to her room and sings Forever, by John Michael Montgomery, to her. 

When they reach the room he puts his arms around her and smiles while he finishes the song.  He says to her, "I will be up in Gracie's room in the early morning because Uncle Josh promised to be there when she woke up.  I wouldn't be a good Uncle Josh if I broke my promises, would I?"  He grinned and kissed her passionately.

She laughs hysterically as he sings to her. He is always being silly and goofy but that is one thing that she absolutely loves about him. "Yeah babe I agree we will be together forever and ever and ever. You won't lose me don't you worry Sir."

She smiles at him. "She is going to be so excited when she sees you tomorrow morning when she wakes up. She is going to be screaming but it will be worth it because she will be so happy. Because YOU *she points to him* are the soul reason for that. God I love you so much cutie" She kisses him deeply and passionately.

He sweeps her off her feet and carries her to her bed.  He lays her down softly and smiles looking deeply into her eyes.  He tempts her soul with his love and dangles it in front of her with his smile.  He kisses her and softly breathes in her scent.  He wants this memory, this feeling before he drifts away in the other room.  He caress' her face and hugs her, "Good night my lovely angel."  He whispers it passionately to her.  He just stares at her for the next few minutes waiting for her to slumber.  He smiles his eyes feeling heavy and tired, but looking at his angel.  His heart so in love it is ready to beat out of his chest.

She laughs and smiles wide as he sweeps her into his arms and lays her down in her bed. She grabs his face and kisses him. As she does she grabs him and he falls on top of her and she is laughing hysterically. "Oops you fell on top of me." She puts her arms around his neck as she kisses him lovingly and smiles "Goodnight man of my dreams." A few minutes later she drifts soundly off to sleep dreaming of him. He is definitely her rock and she has no idea where she would be had she never met him. She was head over heels in love with this amazing guy.

He moved to Gracie's bedroom where he kisses her goodnight.  He caress' Gracie's hair with his gentle hand and runs his fingers from her forehead to her nose and lightly taps her nose.  It wasn't enough to wake his little sister-in-law, but it was their way of saying, "I love you."  It was between Gracie and he; that is what Josh liked about their little relationship.  They had their own language and tomorrow they would be speaking it to each other.  He smiled and walked out whispering, "Good night." 

He moved to the bed that was set up for him in Mike's old room.  He slipped in and went to sleep his little cell on the lowest volume right next to his ear.  He would wake up in five more hours and sit in Gracie's room until she got up.  He smiled thinking of Gracie's happiness when she sees him sitting there.  Then his thoughts shift to Kristin and he drifts into a pleasant oblivion.

Kristin has fallen into a deep but sweet sleep. She has dreams of her wonderful man. Though they have had their share of problems at the end of the day she will always love him and he will always love her. She smiles thinking that someday they will have the kind of life that Kristin's mom and dad have. That is really all she has ever wanted in her life. To have a lost that is completely real and that can last forever and ever.

Tomorrow she is going the restaraunt to help her mom and dad. She is going to waitress for the morning hours and for the lunch rush and she will be bartending during the evening and dinner rush.

He sleeps and is woken by a soft song of love on his phone.  The song, "I Swear," by All 4 One is his musical promise to be beside Kristin and he reminds himself of that every day.  He gets up and goes to the bathroom.  He dry shaves real quickly and goes downstairs to make coffee.  He gets himself a cup and proceeds upstairs to Kristin's room.  He smiles at her and silently mouths, "I love you and good morning.  Then he moves to Gracie's room and in that room he sits to make a little girl's day.  He smiles at the thought of Kristin, Gracie, and how much he loves them both.

Kristin groans as she opens her eyes as he enters her room. She smiles back at him and mouths back "I love you too" as she drifts off back to sleep again. Her Dad told her that she did not have to be at the restaraunt until 10 so she is going to go back to sleep for another 2 hours. She needs her rest to handle some of the crazies.

An hour later Gracie wakes up and sees her Uncle Josh sitting in her room waiting for him just like he promised. No one ever made a promise to her and kept it before and she loved him for it. "UNCLE JOSH here. UNCLE JOSH spend day with Gracie and no Mummy or Daddy or Krissy. They BORING and Uncle Josh is fun and funny. " Then she screams "UNCLE JOSH" as loud as she can and she giggles.

He laughs with her and puts his finger up to his mouth.  "SSSHHH, your mommy, daddy, and krissy need their rest.  You want to have some breakfast with Uncle Josh?"  He wanted to get her ready for a day of fun.  He had called off of work and was ready to rock and roll.  He wanted to start his day and maybe later he would have one of his friends bring his car over to the house and.  Maybe Gracie and he would visit Kristin at the restaurant.  It was weird he was already craving Kristin and it wasn't even eight o'clock in the morning.

Gracie sits up straight extremely fast smiling at her Uncle Josh. "Yeah Gracie have breakfast with Uncle Josh. Ouce cream with chocolate sauce and pop for breakfast Uncle Josh. What we do today Uncle Josh? " She smiles up at him as she jumps up and down on her bed in excitement. She is extremely wound up and excited for the day to begin. "I love you Uncle Josh" She smiles giving him a huge hug.

He hugs her and says, "Go use the bathroom and I will wait right here.  Then we go get your Kix and orange juice.  He smiles at her and says then you decide what fun you want and I will tell you ok or maybe later.  I must tell you though, sweety, that I am more likely to say OK!" he tries to keep it quiet, but knows she get excited anyway.

She smiles. She is still being potty trained but is doing really good with it. She gets off the bed and looks up at Uncle Josh. "Uncle Josh give Gracie candy if Gracie uses the potty?" She smiles at him. Mommy and Daddy and Krissy normally don't let her but she knows he is not around as much so she can con him into candy. She goes into the bathroom and she peeks her head out the bathroom. "We go to park, roller coaster, ice cream store, toy store, candy store, everywhere else Uncle Josh. " THen she goes back into the bathroom to use the potty.

He laughs at her excitement and calls too her, "Do you need any help sweety?"  He wants her to know that though she is still learning he is there for her.  He wants to be that positivity in her life, "We can play for a little while and then see about going to the store ok?"  He listens for her voice; lately her voice brings him a comfort and satisfaction that he started to look for.  A fatherly comfort almost encompasses him and he enjoys her spirited personality.

"Uncle Josh stuck. STUCK" She says unable to get her pull-up off by herself. She keeps repeating "Help Stuck Uncle Josh. Stuck" She begins to cry and whine. She gets frustrated very very easily.

"Go to store with Uncle Josh and buy candy and candy and toys and pop and chocolate" She smiles and looks up at him.

He grins and walks in to the bathroom.  He laughs a little at her and pulls her pull-up off.  "Alright, do your stuff," he says to her.  He kisses her and leaves to get another pull-up from her dresser.  He thinks about the candy store and agrees to himself that a little candy couldn't hurt, could it?

She smiles at her Uncle Josh as she gets herself up onto the potty and does her business. When she is done she gets up and wipes her bum and washes her hands. She comes out into her room without a pull-up on. "Uncle Josh, Gracie is nakie. So silly" She giggles as she smiles at him. She loves the way he talks to her.

"No Mommy Daddy Krissy today..Yay" She hollers.

He laughs at her silly ways and helps her into her pull-up.  "Alright, time for breakfast," he says picking her up.  "By the way little angel, we will be reporting in to mommy and daddy a little later for some lunch, but just you and me today after that, ok?" he loves her and knows that she will have fun today.  He rubs her head and kisses her cheek.

She frowns and begins to whine. "NO MOMMY AND DADDY NO MOMMY AND DADDY" She screams at the top of her lungs. "Only Gracie and Uncle Josh. Mommy and Daddy go away" She grumbles. She is getting very possessive and normally is not at all like this. She stomps her feet on the ground. "Uncle Josh just you and me no mommy and daddy NO NO NO"

"SSSHH," he hushed, "You're going to wake everyone up."  He has a stern look on his face, "If you're going to cry then we can't go anywhere."  He continued to try and reaffirm his words, "Uncle Josh doesn't want to play with a little girl cries; he wants to play with Gracie who smiles."  He smiled to illustrate his point and hugged her.

She smiled as she nodded and she whispered "No Mommy or Daddy today Uncle Josh. Just me and my favorite uncle" She smiled as she hopped off her bed and quietly tiptoed to her door. She looked back looking at her Uncle Josh. "Gracie smiles no more baby Gracie." She smiled at him.

"Well I guess I need to get Gracie some breakfast...," he says smiling and getting up slowly.  He looks at her with a playful sinister look, "Now I will get you and TICKLE YOU!"  He rushes at her and grabs her up.  He pretends that he will eat her and kisses her tummy.  He tickles her and blows raspberries on her.

She laughs as her Uncle Josh tickles her. She giggles so loud like she always does when she is being tickled. "Uncle Josh so silly. You silly. Cookies Uncle Josh. Cookies and candy. I tinkle on the potty Uncle Josh." She claps for herself for doing such a good job. Gracie has always been silly but especially silly with Josh.

He runs her downstairs and hops off the sixth step from the bottom one.  Landing on his feet he takes her over to her high chair and puts her in.  He tickles her neck and starts to prepare her breakfast.  He looks at her and says, "Something yummy and tasty."  Grinning he continues, "Candy comes later when we have eaten good stuff!"  He raises his hands in the air spilling some yogurt from the cup he pulled from the fridge on his head.

Gracie looks at her Uncle Josh laughing at him as he spills the yogurt completely forgetting about the candy. "Uncle Josh silly. Spilled yogurt..Yogurt yucky" She puts her tongue out. "ewww yucky" she says laughing. "Uncle Josh is silly spilling the yogurt. I love you Uncle Joshie" She is really bonding with her Uncle Josh but Tuesday will be rough when he has to leave.

(Just so you know during the week except tuesday i work from 8-6 so i won't normally apply til 7ish..I'll be on for another two hours at least. Weekends I'm free..Just so you know :-) )

He thinks of her and smiles as he sets the rest of the yogurt in the cup down in front of her.  With yogurt covered hair he starts to help teach her to feed herself.  He is there the entire way helping her learn to use the toddler spoon.  He looks at her and gets some easy to eat toddler cereal.

She looks down at the yogurt as she sticks her tongue out. "Yogurt yucky. Yogurt go bye bye" She says as she smacks the yogurt cup across the room. It goes all over the kitchen." She laughs as the floor becomes covered in yogurt. "Gracie made messy. That's funny." She laughs hysterically. She is super happy that she made a big mess. She is prone to doing that a lot. "Uncle Josh see big mess" She smiles.

He hangs his head covered in yogurt and seeing the kitchen mess he would have to clean.  Patience had to be the big thing, "So sweetheart, besides chocolate and candy; what do you want for breakfast?"  He wanted to treat her well and hoped that there would be a reasonable decision made.  He didn't bother crossing his fingers because inside he knew it was futile.  He smiled at little Gracie and patted her on the head.

She put her finger on her cheek as she began to tap it. This is exactly what her Uncle Josh does when he is thinking long and hard about something. She loves to mock him. "Hmm chocolate, candy, cookies, cheerios, milk, sticks" She means french toast sticks. She smile  up at him as he treats her so well. She really adores and loves her Uncle Josh.

He gets up and makes a bowl of cheerios and then stands there and puts his finger on his cheek.  He thinks of the 'sticks' and then puts some french toast sticks in the microwave.  He turns and smiles to her, "Love you..."

She smiles at him and giggles as he tells her that he loves her. "I love my Uncle Josh" She squeals in excitement as she jumps up and down in excitement. "Mmm cheerios yummy" she says as she eats some of her cheerios.

Josh moves to the floor and cleans up the yogurt mess and then moves to the sink to clean his hair.  He looks at Gracie and says, "After this we can play outside for a little while ok?"  He makes sure everything is out of his hair and then dries it off.  He then looks at the sky and notices the clouds in it.  Though some sun is poking through, he worries about possible rain.  He grabs his cell and phone one of his buddies to bring over his car.  His friend has a key and acknowledges it with an, "OK!"

She smiles as she holds up a cheerio for him to see "Cheerio..mmm yummy cheerios." She laughs as she begins to eat the rest of her cheerios. "Yay Uncle Josh and Gracie play outside. Then we do everything together and no daddy or mommy or krissy. They boring but Uncle Josh is so funny." She laughs as she smiles widely at him as she continues to eat.

When she finishes up he cleans her up and Josh takes her outside.  The sky is partly cloudy and threatening to storm.  He looks up and says, "If it starts to rain we have to go inside ok?'  He looks at her bright face and smiles at it.  He puts her down on the ground and says, "Ok let's PLAY!"

She smiles and nods. "Yeah we play outside until rain comes because we could get boo boos in the rain Uncle Josh." She runs to her swingset and climbs up into the treehouse and just sits there hiding from him and then suddenly she peeks around the corner. " I see you Uncle Josh" She giggles and laughs hysterically.

Just then Kristin woke up and came outside. Gracie saw Krissy come outside and got really mad. She started to throw a tantrum. "KRISSY GO BYE BYE NOW. NO LIKE YOU AND NO WANT YOU AROUND. GO AWAY." She linked Uncle Josh's leaving to Kristin and she took out her anger on Kristin. "You take my Uncle Josh away and I hate you. Go away" She screams as she kicks and screams on the ground. She loves her big sister but right now she is super attached to Josh.

As she begins to play, Josh laughs at the boo boo comment.  He starts to run around with her and play the peek-a-boo game.  He pretends to chase her around the tree and pretend to almost grab her and then fall down.  He laughs so hard on the ground he doesn't notice what is happening.

He hears Gracie screaming and stands up.  "Gracie!" he says at a heightened voice more surprised then angry, "don't talk to your sister like that!"  He walks over to Gracie and bends down, "She doesn't take me away."  He talks to her hoping for her to understand, "I leave because I have adult things I have to do."  He looks for Gracie's understanding, "I always come back though, because Krissy asks me too."  He hugs Gracie, "It is because of Krissy that you get to play with Uncle Josh."  He pleads with her, "Please apologize to your sissy."  He looks apologetically at Kristin.

She looks at her Uncle Josh as he explains to her that Krissy is the one that gets them to play together. She nods in understanding. She just gets sad that he is going to have to leave. A single tear runs down the side of her face as she looks at her Uncle Josh. "Uncle Josh no leave. Gracie wants Uncle Josh to stay forever."

She gets up and runs over to her sissy and she pulls at her pants repeatedly saying. "Uppie Uppie Krissy. I sorry I mean to Krissy. I love Krissy. I sorry I said I hate you. I no hate you I love you" She pulls at her pants smiling wide.

He smiles and walks over to Kristin and Gracie.  "Good morning sweetheart," he says kissing her on the lips.  He places his hand on her cheek and massages it a little with his thumb, while they share the kiss.  He pats Gracie's head while Kristin and he kiss delicately.

Gracie smiles. "Uncle Josh and Krissy kiss like Mommy and Daddy kiss. Stop I want Krissy uppie. Upppie. Uppie. Uppie" She repeats. "I love you Krissy. Uncle Josh no go away. Uncle Josh stay forever and forever. No more adult things for Uncle Josh. Just playtime with Gracie." She jumps up and down in excitement.

He smiles at Gracie and looks at Kristin, "How are you doing this morning sweetheart?"  He feels like a father with Kristin here and Gracie jumping up and down.  He likes that feeling and smiles when it enters his mind that Gracie gets along with him very well.

Kristin smiles at Josh. "I'm doing good.  Getting ready to go to the restaraunt. How you doing babe?" She  smiles as she picks up Gracie. "Uncle Josh my favorite uncle ever.I luv you." She giggles as she hits him on the head.

He smiles at the comments of Gracie and looks at Kristin.  He picks up her hand not directly holding Gracie and kisses the end of it.  "I doing well now that I get to see you sweetheart."  He smiles at her and shines his eyes.  He gives her his 'come hither' look if only to make her heart skip a beat.

He looks at Gracie having hit him on the head kisses her forehead.  "Gracie's my favorite niece too," he tells her with a big grin on his face.  He giggles a little at her and tickles her.

Kristin giggles at Josh as she puts Gracie down quickly and comes closer. She nudges him as she puts her arms around his neck. "I'm glad your here for the weekend babe. I love you" She says kissing him lovingly.

Gracie gets mad. "NO NO NO I want Krissy to pick uppie and Uncle Joshie to no touch Krissy. She is MY krissy. And your MY uncle joshie." She giggles as her Uncle Josh tickles her.

"We need to share!" he says as he tickles her some more.  He looks at Kristin's hand and smiles at how empty it looks.  He smiles about what changes he plans to make about that.  He grins at her and continues to tickle Gracie.  "How about this and that," he smiles waiting for Gracie to tell him to stop through her giggles.

Gracie smiles as she looks at him and nods her head. "Yeah Gracie needs to share Krissy with Uncle Josh. Sharing is good." She says as her Uncle Josh tickles her. "It tickles Uncle Josh. No more. No more" She says as she laughs and giggles and begins to run around the yard. There backyard is fenced in.

He smiles at Gracie having fun and holds Kristin closely.  "I think I missed you last night in my dreams, dear."  He looks closely into her eyes pushing some her hair back behind her ear and marvels at how beautiful she looks.

She smiles and giggles just like a little girl does. "Oh baby aren't you just sweet" She kisses him on the cheek and whispers in his ear. "You were in my dreams." She looks at him holding his hand as she watches Gracie run around the yard. "It sucks that I have to go into work today but I'm glad that you and Gracie are spending time together. She ADORES you. It is gonna be soo hard with you leaving on Tuesday." There 3 year anniversary is coming up on Monday and it is Saturday.

He smiles at her and says, "I know babe, I adore her too."  He grins at her and watches Gracie playing anticipating joining her.  "We will be fine when we go to Mike's and Gracie will be fine even with me gone."  He smiles at her and kisses her gently. (Was that a sign to me on that last part...-wink lol- Now your my gf reminding me of rp anniversaries?  -grins-)

She smiles and grins at him. "I know we will be fine and so will Gracie but she will be throwing a tantrum when you leave. I can definitely predict that right now." She shrugs as she kisses him (No no not at all..Just adding it in. Do whatever is fine with me..i'm very cool)

He kisses her and says, "I know..."  He looks at her with his 'I forgot' look.  "Hey when are we leaving again?"  He hated to ask that, but in his fun with his niece, well soon to be he hoped, niece Gracie; he had forgotten when they were to leave for Mike's.

She looks at him and sighs. She KNEW that he would forget the anniversary. She thought that was what the 'I forget' look was for. "Well I think I'm staying until Thursday because I have a break from school and I never get to spend all this time with mom, dad, and Gracie. But you probably gotta work so whenever I guess. We go to Mike's on Thursday. I'll prob drive straight from here to Mikes." She shrugs.

Gracie gets mad that no one is playing with her so she runs over to Josh and hits him in the leg hard and stomps her foot pouting. "NO MORE TALKING uncle josh. No allowed. You play with Gracie NOW. Go away Krissy and stop talking to Uncle Josh. My turn." She pushes Krissy.

He smiled because he had requested time off and he had two weeks vacation saved.  He didn't tell her though and just kissed her.  "I haven't forgotten us babe ok?"  He looks her in the eyes, "I won't forget you babe."  He rolls his eyes at the fact that she doesn't trust him enough, because of his past forgetfulness.

He picks up Gracie and starts kissing her face and tickling her.  "Pushing isn't allowed silly," he says as he tickles her and kisses her.  He looks at Kristin and smiles to the love of his life.

"I sure hope not babe. I should get a prize for being with you for almost three years." She says laughing as she teases him. She loves him more and more each and every day especially seeing how good he is with Gracie. That means a lot to her probably more than he even knows. She smiles at the love of her life.

She giggles as her Uncle Josh kisses her and tickles her. "No pushing for Gracie. No talking anymore Josh. Tell Krissy go away. It is time for Uncle Josh and Gracie."

He looked at her with a young grin of mysteriousness to him.  He looked like he had just stolen a cookie off the plate and tried to hide it.  He simply kissed her and told Kristin, "I love you."

He looked at Gracie and said, "I will play in a moment when Krissy and I are done, honey ok?"  He wanted to talk to Kristin a little more and kiss her a little more.

She looked at him. "What did you do? You have that look mister." She smiles as she hid her face in his shirt.

"No moment. NOW play. Go away Krissy" She says pushing her gently.

He looks at her and smiles, "I haven't done anything."  Then he turns and walks away with Gracie, "Too magnificent anyway."  He smiles as he walks to the nearby bushes and puts Gracie down.  He turns his head and smiles at Kristin while he begins to play with Gracie.

She nods reluctantly at him. "Sure that is what all the boys who did something say. I know your kind." She says as she shakes her finger at him. She whispers to him. "I love you" as she heads out to her job.

"Krissy go bye-bye and Uncle Josh and Gracie spend time together. No more Daddy or Krissy..YAY" She says smiles as she pushes him down and laughs as she begins to run around the yard giggling.

(I am sorry that my posts have lessened.  I have college, work, and they take up alot especially lately.  However, I will try to get on when I can...but I do apologize)

He runs up behind her and kisses her passionately.  He picks her up in a strength of love and need.  "I LOVE YOU!" he exclaims to the world as loud as he can.  He smiles and is excited about his plan.  He doesn't want to ruin it, but he hopes that she'll like it too.  He wants them to be happy forever and this would be the next step in that.  He hears Gracie, but for now it is Kristin in his arms.

She laughs at him as screams to the world his love for her. She kisses him deeply, passionately, and lovingly. "Oh I love you too babyyy. But I gotta head out to the restaraunt. I'd rather stay here but I want to help out Mom and Dad. Gracie doesn't look to happy anyways." Gracie is on the ground kicking and screaming and pouting.

"No more kissing Krissy. GO AWAY KRISSSY" She screams at the top of her lungs. "You always have time with Uncle Josh..MY TURN. My turn please." She tries to be polite with please but she is kicking and yelling for her sister to go away.

He laughs and kisses her goodbye, "We'll be by later today babe, ok?"  He laughs and runs over to Gracie who is kicking and screaming on the ground.  He growls funny and chases her around the yard.  "I will get you Now!"  He roars at her not too loud, but playfully.

Gracie gets up as she stops and says loudly. "You never get me Uncle Josh." She says as she runs around the yard trying to stay away from him. She is laughing and squealing at the top of her lungs. She is having the time of her life with her Uncle Josh. "You can't get me> " She says mockingly as she keeps running.

He does a happy dance as Kristin leaves.  Then he runs after Gracie, "Yes I can..."  He growls and pretends to fall behind and then catch up.  Though he never gets her he continues the 'chase.'  He repeats the process until Gracie collapses laughing, grows tired, or wants a new game.

She laughs as Uncle Josh falls down trying to catch her. The last time he falls down she laughs hysterically as she slowly creeps over and jumps onto his back. "Uncle Josh owwie. No Uncle Josh no more owwies. Owwies bad" She sits on his back as she jumps up and down. "Uncle Josh is horsie." Then she settles down as she lays her head down on his bed and whispers quietly but so lovingly. "Uncle Josh favorite Uncle. I Love You." Somehow she drifts off to sleep on him.

He cares for her as she sleeps.  He gets his car from his friend and cleans the house as well while waiting for Gracie to wake up on the couch that he put her on.  He sings a song of love thinking of Kristin and dreams of holding her again.

Gracie wakes up a few hours later and she runs around the house screaming. "UNCLE JOSH IS FAVORITE UNCLE EVER!!!! I LOVE HIMMMM!!" Then she randomly starts screaming incoherent words. What she is kind of known for.

He rushes over to her to see her running around the room.  He grabs his heart because he thought she was hurt and sits down.  He has a pink apron on from cleaning and looks at her with a small smile on his face trying to grasp his wits again.  He shakes his head and lays it back for a minute.

She laughs as she sits down on the floor across from Uncle Josh. "Uncle Josh wear pink apron. You no wear pink. Girls wear pink silly. You shake your head. You so silly Uncle Josh but I love my Uncle Josh. No go away ever. Stay with Gracie, Mommy, Daddy, and Krissy forever and ever and ever." She smiles. She is very smart and knows her ABC's, her animals, her numbers up to 20, and all her colors.

He looks at her and smiles.  He takes off the apron and laughs.  He says, "As long as Mommy, Daddy, and Krissy want Uncle Josh to stay he will."  He smiles at her and asks, "What now?"  She is so cute to him and it is like having his own daughter.

She smiles wide when he tells her that. All she hears is "Uncle Josh will stay." She smiles as she gets on his lap and jumps up and down. "Uncle Josh stay with Gracie forever and ever and never leave ever again..Yay. No care what Mommy Daddy. Krissy say yes and Uncle Josh now what? Oh yeah I love you"

"I love you too sweety," he says as he hugs little Gracie.  He looks at her and gives her a hug.  Forever and ever, huh?  He thought about that with Kristin and his plans for the weekend.

"What we do now Uncle Josh?" She asks him as he looks at him. She is extremely content to do almost anything. She is a very happy go lucky kind of kid. She just wants to spend some time with her Josh.

He looks at her with loving eyes.  He asks, "Well Uncle Josh is here for you....what do you want to do?"  He tickles her, "I will tickle you until you tell me!"  He laughs as he tickles her more and more.

She gets serious as she looks at him and pushes his hands away.; "No more tickles Uncle Josh. ALL DONE" She gets really serious like she is mad but she really isn't. "Ice cream, toy store, pizza, hot dogs, french fries, park, swings, hopscotch, basketball, trucks, cars, cookies, roller coaster.." She keeps rambling off for minutes and minutes as she laughs in between each word.

He looks at her and asks, "You want some pizza?"  He grins with a deceitful look, but not in a totally bad way.  He looks at Gracie hoping that she'll grab that word and run with it.  He looks at her endearingly, "We can share a pizza if you want and then go for some hop.....hey do you even play hopscotch?"  He thinks about his words, "You aren't old enough for that..."

She sitting on his lap as she smiles at her Uncle Josh. "Pizza with Uncle Josh yumm. With pepperoni, cheese, and chocolate sauce. My favorite." She has never had chocolate sauce on pizza. She is being silly. She hears "not old enough" and she gets mad as she gets up and sits on the floor kicking and screaming. "I OLD ENOUGH TO HOPDOTCH" She kicks and screams as she begins to cry thinking he is putting her down even though he isn't. "I big enough to do everything. I hate you Uncle Josh." She hits him as she runs screaming and crying up to her room.

He sits there knowing that feeding that behavior is parental suicide.  He sits there waiting until she comes back down.  He laughs to himself because he had never seen a child get mad and run to their room.  Usually parents had to send their children to their room.  He continues to chuckle and just sits there in the chair.  He can't help, but enjoy the actions and words sometimes of children.  He sits there slightly contemplating her words and shakes his head knowing that children don't mean their words.

She comes out of her room and to the top of the stairs and screams down. "I big enough to hopdotch Uncle Josh. I 2 years old. I big enough. Go away. I don't love you anymore. I want Krissy" She sits at the bottom of the stairs pouting and crying. She really loves him but she is just mad and doesn't know of any other way to express it.

He looks at her and gets serious though he is quite amused by her antics.  He said, "Gracie, please go to your room until your done crying."  He looks at her maintaining his composure, even though he really wants to laugh, "Uncle Josh wants to play hopscotch with a big two year old, not one that will cry."

She looks at him as she sniffles but she finishes crying. She walks into the living room as she hops up onto the couch and sits down looking at him and through sniffles and a red face she talks to him. "I TWO YEARS OLD AND I BIG ENOUGH TO HOPSCOTCH. I BIG GIRL UNCLE JOSH." She says it in a loud voice though not screaming.
