AMC's playing "Cool Hand Luke"... so I'm half-listening.
I'm MP3'd out... worked 16 hours straight with the headset on, with a two-hour break to charge it mid-afternoon.

THANK you for reminding me of another great band, in addition to your other recommendations today.  Haven't heard Soul Coughing in a while, am rifling ITunes now.

"Super Bon-Bon", by Soul Coughing.

Ever watch the old episodes of "Homicide: Life on the Street"?  That's where I heard this one for the first time... great show, too.

I did used to watch that show on occasion. It was a good one... Unmarked Helicopters was featured in an episode of the X-Files...one of my all time favorite tv shows.  We've been getting it from Netflix and watching the whole series episode by episode...

Anyway, right now I'm just listening to the wind blowing really hard outside.

Was that god forsaken wind moving west..?  We just got rid of a barn-flinging, witch-crushing wind here a couple days ago.  It toppled a dusk-to-dawn light in the parking lot at work and smashed somebody's car (which I found only SLIGHTLY amusing because it wasn't mine).

Unmarked Helicopters, incidentally, is on "Songs in the Key of X," which is precisely the album you're speaking of.  It turned me on to Nick Cave, actually.  THERE, I SAID IT... I OWE MY NICK CAVE FASCINATION TO DANA SCULLEY.

Other great ones on there... "One More Murder," by Better than Ezra... PM Dawn's track's a good one (considering the source)... and The Foo Fighters covering my favorite Gary Numan song, "Down in the Park."  They did a decent job.

And hearing William S. Burroughs read is interesting for the novelty alone... I like his writing, but... DAMN what a wasted of a track that was.

Moving along... Gary Numan, "Pure".

Eureka 7.  It's an Anime.  It's pretty coll, but some times it can be confusing.
