"The Scarus Sector...den of crime, villainy, and vice. May the gods have mercy on those taken from their homes to come to this place, for they will only be met with pain, misery, and a slow death. Few escape that god forsaken place, and those who do, never forget what it did to them...Nor will they ever forget its Tyrant...The Red Corsair"
Last known words spoken by former slave Anon Bondara who escaped from slavery in the notorious Scarus Sector shortly before dying of his injuries sustained in the escape

Created by Vostroya, The Red Corsair: Tyrant of the Scarus Sector is a Science Fiction story that will take place primarily either aboard Banes Shadow (The Red Corsairs dreadnought starship) or aboard the massive criminal syndicate space station "Xen" (Shown above).

It is the dawning of the 28th century in human time. Humanity has moved to the stars and has cut out a large swath of the space near the Solar System to expand their territory and growing population. After meeting the first alien species in the 23rd Century, Humanity has gone on to become one of the major political powers in the Universe. Quickly becoming a powerhouse of their own by allying themselves with other major alien powers that were mostly peaceful. Allowing humanity to grow and expand without much hindrance from the other kids on the block. Humans found out that the galaxy was a huge place, full of unknowns and many thousands of species of aliens. This shattered previous thoughts of being alone in the universe. Though not all aliens liked the prospect of the Humans coming into a politically powerful position. Many thought they had expanded too quickly and their expansion halted. Eventually sparking off a series of long running wars between the major allied powers versus others. At the end of the 26th Century many of the major powers including the humans decided to finally create a unified government for all their space and unify to help their powerful positions be secure. Creating “The Confederacy of Unified Systems ”. Taking up roughly 35% of the known galaxy gave them a unique power amongst the hundreds of other political governments in the galaxy. The Confederation now is the closest thing to a Super power in the galaxy now. Though their forces are stretched thin trying to defend all the space that they control. Making space piracy a major problem for the super power, along with many other powers.

Scarus Sector is located in the ass end of nowhere in the Milky Way Galaxy, near the edge of known space, it is the perfect place for a criminal empire to be based. Far enough away from any major powers to hinder its operations yet close enough to many independent powers to allow a lucrative black market and supply chain. The sector is ruled with an Iron Fist by one of the most notorious pirates and criminals in known space. Going by the nickname of “Red Corsair” this criminal is wanted in virtually every organized space for major crimes like piracy, organized crime, and slavery. Ever since he came to the sector in his massive Dreadnaught battleship “Bane’s Shadow”, the Red Corsair has turned a relatively un-researched and abandoned sector of space, and turned it into the Crime Capital of the Galaxy. Every major criminal power in the Galaxy is not truly recognized by the criminal society until they make a base of operations in the Scarus sector. Only here in this sector is the massive black-market truly open. Its unique position in space also allows for supplying planetary raids, storage for goods and supplies, as well as entertainment for the criminal masses. Since taking over the sector, the Red Corsair has ruled this space with no regard for any who try to undermine his position or power. Many have tried to take the crown that he has taken, but all have failed, and with the power of his Dreadnaught starship with the most advanced technology in the Galaxy, no one has the power to overthrow him. With his own criminal Empire the “Corsair Consortium”, the largest organized crime group in the Galaxy under his direct command, it seems that The Red Corsair will be in power for the foreseeable future…

--------------------Premise of Characters-----------------------

All characters will be involved with the world of the Red Corsair in some way. Some will be slaves, some will be their masters, but all fall under the eyes of the Tyrant. Many have tried to destroy what the Tyrant rules, but all have failed. Will you be more successful?

-------------------Types of Characters---------------------------

Players will be allowed to create their own character’s species or use established species (Such as the Asari from Mass Effect). Each character sheet will allow you to describe in detail your species and how they interact within the Galaxy. There will be several types of character classes available to players.

Corsair Consortium Member – Will you be a member of the most powerful criminal empire the Galaxy has ever seen? Run by the notorious Red Corsair, this shadowy like organization is known for its expertise in evading the authorities and a high success rate.

Gang/Syndicate Member – Or will you be a member of a rival gang/syndicate that seeks to stake its own claim within the sector?

Slaver – Will you be one of those who breaks the minds of the poor souls who come to this sector in chains? To be the one who trains the slaves to serve their masters. To be an expert in the massive slave trade, becoming wildly wealthy through the sale of your fellow people.

Slave – Shall you be one of the unfortunate souls to be dragged to this sector in chains? Doomed to a life of pain, sex, and death. Though those who submit, often are rewarded…

Gladiator/Total Domination Wrestler – Will you be a gladiator/wrestler, leaders in the entertainment of the masses within the sector? Nothing in this Sector will make you more popular than this line of work…

Other Character – Or will you be something unique? Perhaps a wealthy billionaire who wants something special? Perhaps a intelligence officer from one of the major powers, seeking information on the Red Corsair?

------------------Overarching Plot-------------------------

The overall plot of the game will revolve around rumors of a massive pirate attack that will go into the Confederations space and core worlds. The intelligence agencies of the super power have been breaking their backs trying to get intelligence on these rumors, as they fear the power of the pirate lords advanced Dreadnaught. That has been known to be able to take on whole fleets of warships with ease and little damage to itself. Powerful leaders of gangs and criminal syndicates have started to gather in the Scarus Sector for some sort of meeting with the Red Corsair, presumably over this new rumor of an imminent strike.

Special Games that will appear in the Roleplay and can be played in by the players
------------------Total Domination------------------------

One of the most popular tournaments in the Sector are the games of Total Domination. A mixture of wrestling, fighting, and sex all thrown into one basket. Started by the Red Corsair, it has quickly become one of his major money makers just in the pay per view and ticket prices.

Rules of the game:

While fighting. Bite, claw, scratch, there are no prohibited maneuvers. The only exception is no biotics, or anything that is not using your own physical strength but each of our fighting rooms has a biotic suppression field enabled, so try all you want. It won't work. Other than that, anything goes.

But here's the important part: how you win. For those of you looking to score knockouts or make your opponents bleed, feel free, but you're not going to get far in Total Domination with that attitude. There are two ways to score points in Total Domination. The first is with submission holds. You earn Control Points for every 30 seconds you keep your opponent locked in a hold, for a maximum of two minutes. After that, the hold is released, and the fight continues.

And then there are the Style Points," said Aria, and the crowd let out cat calls and hollers. "And I think we all know how those are earned, but for the benefit of our new competitors, I'll give the details. Style Points are earned, by sexually dominating your opponent. Kissing, breast fondling, pussy fingering and licking... the more you force on your opponent, the more Style Points you earn. Each match will last twenty minutes: two nine-minute rounds, with a two minute time-out in the middle. Once those two rounds are up, we total up the Control Points and Style Points of each competitor to determine the winner. The loser is out of the tournament, and the winner gets 10,000 credits and continues on to choose a new fight.

Once the match is decided, the winner has ten minutes with the loser, to do with as they please. Whatever they want to do to their opponent, whichever of our wide selection of devices they wish to use on them, everything is fair game. And ladies, do remember that if you lose, and resist the winner in any way, that ten minutes goes to twenty. And if you resist after that, the winner gets thirty minutes, and several of my staff will... assist the winner in helping you accept your defeat. So, please, be good sports about this. If you aren't, it'll only get worse for you.

Sector Map
Planets of the Scarus Sector

Ulant – Tyr is compositionally quite similar to Earth and possesses an atmosphere primarily composed of nitrogen and ethane. While a potential target for terraforming, the mining corporations who pay to allow their mining operations on the planet have found no need to have the high start up costs to terraform the planet, when most of their mining and manufacturing operations are robotic. Nearly one hundred corporations -- human and alien -- constructed tele-operated mining, refining, and manufacturing facilities across the planet.

Harvest – Unlike its hopeful planet name, Harvest is far from a happy place. It is on this planet that the most prolific Slavers of the Galaxy are based. With the Corporate Triangles high need for slave labor and the nearby Criminal syndicates. This sector is the perfect place for any slaver to make his fortune. As long as they pay the same monthly tithe that all criminal syndicates pay to the Red Corsair to be allowed to operate, they are allowed to run their businesses as they see fit.

Hexen – Third Planet in the “Corporate Triangle”  Hexen is a model of sustainable, organized development. The population is housed in space-efficient arcologies that tower over thousands of kilometers of green fields and orchards. Run by the same corporations that run Thracian Primaris, this planet’s unique atmosphere and biodome allow for large scale and cheap farming. Known for its pristine, Earth-like greenery and suitability for sustaining life. Most long time colonists are in the agriculture business. This planet is the primary supplier of the sectors food needs.

Mordax Pam – Mordax is best known as the home of Independent Systems Drive Yards. These shipyards, used to build ships for both the Independent Systems and the various criminal syndicates. Massive orbit based ship yards circle the planet for thousands of kilometers. Making an artificial planetary ring.

Gudrun – "A garbage scow with a climate" and "the recycling center of the galaxy" have been the mocks for this unfortunate planet within the Scarus Sector. Gudrun’s biggest business is the recycling of decommissioned or junked spacecraft into their component parts. It is a dirty business that chokes Korlus's sky with smog and fills its ports with megatons of scrap. A shady hospitality industry and a scavenger underclass round out the spectacle of urban decay.

Known as the starcraft cemetery, Gudrun was the regional toxic junk yard for centuries. Ships reaching astronautical "near-death" at connecting mass relays were sent to Gundrun, stripped of every useful component, then dumped planetward to clear shipping lanes. Most of the surface as well as the orbit of the planet is littered with all manner of expired, retired, damaged, and destroyed star ships of every company, brand, system, and government of the known universe. Most large corporations who make starships for the massive empires of the Galaxy care little how their old ships are taken care of once they are to be scrapped and Gundrun is the cheapest of them all. With a majority of its labor force being slaves, the corporations and gangs who run the operation on the planet can undercut any contract price of other recycling firms in the galaxy.

Imbrium- Imbrium is a frigid world with a thick nitrogen-argon atmosphere. The crust contains silicates and unremarkable ores, but is surprisingly rich in phosphates. Since the atmosphere lacks free oxygen, the phosphates are highly pure and are highly marketable in the manufacture of fertilizer and incendiary ammunition. The Planets atmosphere is littered with massive gas collection barges that automatically capture, process, and refine the gasses of the planets atmosphere.

Quinx – Second Planet in the “Corporate Triangle” of the Scarus Sector. "More glittering than diamonds, more expensive than surgery," is how travel agents describe this planet behind closed doors. The planet today boasts more millionaires and billionaires per capita than any other colony. Though its crime tends to be white-collar and nonviolent, Quinx is not without its dark side. Both its suicide rate and inflation are extremely high compared to other worlds. Unemployment is artificially low because few people immigrate to the expensive planet without having a job lined up, and the cost of living is so great that unemployed workers typically leave for kinder planets after just a few months. Those who stay see themselves as tougher, sharper, and more skillful than the rest, as well as capable of getting respect and employment on any lesser planet. As a popular saying is, "If you can make it on the Quin, you got 'em by the neck.". Quinx is under the same Jurisdiction as Hexen and Thracian Primaris, meaning that the corporations run its day to day operations. Allowed to do so because of the treaty with the Corporations that the Red Corsair has agreed to.

Lethe Eleven – Lethe is covered in a ocean of liquid water and has a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. It is highly likely to have at least some photosynthetic life. Due to having virtually no land masses, it has not been colonized nor developed. Though the space around the planet is a typical entrance and exit for ships warping out of the sector, due to the planets location near the edge of the sector.

Thracian Primaris – First Planet in the “Corporate Triangle” Thracian Primaris is a classic garden world developed to serve as entrepôt between the Scarus Sector and the Independent Systems. To abet this trade, the planets government, made up of a conglomeration of the corporate boards, have made a treaty with The Red Corsair, the corporations would control the planet and the space surrounding it, and in turn the corporations would allow Corsair’s Consortium to operate on the planet as an independent corporation, as well as monthly tithe’s to Red Corsair for his protection and rule of the Sector. Product-safety-proscribed materials and sapient trafficking are relaxed. Officially, it is colonized and operated by independent corporate interests, including the entire sector. Though unofficially, crime syndicates, and corporations alike use this world as a way to avoid trade taxes, law enforcement, and any other eye that might crack down on their operations. A regional hub of independent systems commerce awash in riches, Thracian Primaris is infamous for its abusive labor practices and legalization of nearly everything except murder. As such, TR is the preferred production site for weapons and pharmaceuticals that would be illegal nearly everywhere else, made even more lucrative by legal indentured servitude. The world is hot and massive; ground settlement is only possible at the higher polar latitudes. In more equatorial locations the population is housed in arcology skyscrapers to escape the heat of the surface.

Despite the dangers of its products, TR is renowned for glamor, luxury, and safety (provided by near-total surveillance), making it a favored tourist destination of the wealthy and powerful. Countless celebrities maintain palatial estates on TR and in its capital. TR is a commerce planet, and sees many new cultures and goods due to its proximity to the major powers as well as the Independent systems. New visitors are advised to avoid signing anything due to the world's lax legal regulations, necessary in order to stay competitive. As such, drugs are legal as long as they are labeled properly, and one can buy any kind of weapon, technology, or even “indentured” servants.

Skyren – Skyren is a small hydrogen-helium gas giant. It has unusually large amounts of nitrogen in the upper atmosphere, which glow purple when ionized by the solar wind. Hunsalra's convenience as a place to dump drive charge has left its orbit littered with debris "dumped overboard" by visiting crews.

Nysa Stromlo – Nysa is a standard hydrogen-helium gas giant. Corporate ships reported many strange disturbances in Logan's cloud bands, suggesting many remarkably large solid objects were present beneath the cloud tops. As the ships approached, however, they subsided one by one. These disturbances have been reported again and again.

Vagera – Vagera is a Jovian-sized gas giant with a standard hydrogen-helium atmosphere. Traces of methane give the planet its distinct cobalt blue tint. Spectral analysis indicates its extensive ring system is mostly composed of ice crystals. Vagera has an exceptionally powerful magnetic field, which creates strong radio interference throughout the inner system.

Xen

Located in the middle of the triangle of Harvest, Hexen, and Thracian Primaris, lyes a massive repurposed asteroid turned space station. Built in the mined-out husk of a metallic asteroid, Xen has been a haven for criminals, terrorists, and malcontents since Cass Seradin came and made his base of operations in the sector. The space station's original elegant design has given way to haphazard expansion by scrabbling factions of every species. There is no central government or unifying authority on Xen, and nobody can recall a time there ever was one. The only true ruler of this Asteriod is the Red Corsair, who used the pirate base as his headquarters.

Xen is a Galactic hub of narcotics, weapons, and slave trafficking without even a pretense of civilian government or military control. Only mercenary groups have been able to instill a limited order; the most ruthless is a criminal syndicate run by the notorious Red Corsair, Cass Seradin. Xen has a population of 7.8 million people, composed of hundreds of different species.

Xen is divided into several districts. Known districts include:

Doru District - A district located near several vital Xen utility systems, including a water treatment facility, the main ventilation system, and the station's central support column. There is no public access to this area, and the few who are, are employed by Cass Seradin, typically the maintenance crews and cleaners.

Fumi District - A high class residential district that mainly houses mid to high level gang and mafia leaders.

Gozu District – The gambling hub of the station. Everywhere you look in this district is a casino or some other kind of pavilion willing to take another poor suckers money. Casinos are typically controlled by the various gangs.

Kenzo District – The Entertainment hub of the station. All manner of night clubs, bars, strip clubs, and any other thing the mind can think of for blowing off steam is located in this district. One of the most infamous clubs is where the Red Corsair conducts his personal and professional business.

Kima District - Another residential area that borders Gozu District. Small to Mid sized apartments are available in abundance, though security is typically sketchy due to frequent gang turf wars.

Tuhi District - A commercial area filled with shops and businesses, including Tuhi District Storage

Weaponry and Combat Technology

Common Weaponry and Combat in the Galaxy

Ship-based Weaponry

Kinetic Launchers - One of the most basic types of weapons, by whatever means a solid projectile is accelerated as fast as possible and launched from a ship. The kinetic energy of impact is so powerful, that, when fired on a planet the blast can be comparable to nuclear detonation, in the range of megatons. The most common system for the major powers is a rail-gun, as it requires only the projectile and energy output. This system is most effect in close quarters, as the projectiles travel in a straight-line, and most ships can detect and dodge them at distance, by moving in any direction that could not be anticipated. Fleets have been known to fire what are know as 'clouds' of projectiles, their number and spread makes a hit on a ship unlikely but they can be employed at distance to attack stations, or other fleets, or break formations.

Lasers - Powerful lasers are mainstays of most ships. They function as point-defence, intercepting and destroying incoming projectiles, or fighter-craft. Large ships usually employ laser in fast-tracking clusters, able to cover large areas, or, when more lightly engaged, focus fire on larger projectiles than single systems would allow the ship to defend against. Some independent systems employ lasers as offensive weapons, but this is not common for most advance ships of the line. The new experimental lasers that are starting to come out are rumored to be able to bypass energy shields and attack hulls of ships directly.

Particle beams - Powerful streams of energetic particles, accelerated to near-light speed inside a ship, and then unleashed in a tight stream from any of the particle-beam cannons on a ship. Particle-beam cannons are more powerful based on the internal architecture of the ship, and the ability of the ship to include particle-accelerators, meaning that the larger the ship, the more powerful the beam, in general. Particle beams are long-distance engagement weapons. As they travel very near light-speed, they are difficult to avoid and must be blocked primarily by energy shielding.

Small-Arms

Kinetic Launchers - Small arms are mostly of the kinetic launcher variety. What are essentially rail-guns require only the actual projectile, and smaller, faster moving projectiles are fired from weapons that are fairly familiar. Pistols, shot-guns, assault-rifles, sub-machine guns, and rifles. Projectiles using explosive propulsion are still in use, and are generally more useful if power is not available, though battle-field generators, and personal batteries usually suffice to keep weapons charged for use.

Lasers - Small arms are also sometimes laser-based, as their ammunition capacity is only based on the amount of power provided to the weapon, these weapons tend to be the higher-end range, focusing on heavier weapons, assault rifles and heavier assault weaponry, up to the portable artillery level.

Defence, Ships and Personnel

Energy Shields - A simple enough system, consisting of magnetic fields powerful enough to attenuate lasers, and warp particle beams, and deflect projectiles. As a network this system detects particles, photons, or projectiles, and reacts selectively. In heavy fighting, the whole network is powered, weakening the shield but proving more coverage. The amount of energy the shield can block or deflect vary from ship to ship, but in general, heavier weapons are nearly impossible to stop. Energy shields are employed on ground troops only by way of fortifications, except in a few cases were individual armor has been upgraded to have an energy shield.

Armor - Ships general have armor plating outside their pressurized hull to ensure that physical projectiles are stopped, though naturally, the amount that can be stopped depends on the quality and thickness of armor. Soldiers usually have armor as their primary defense.

Ship Combat

Typical ship engagements are between both the ships with a small squadron of star-fighters and bombers for support.

Warp Capability

Most starships of any size typically have a warp core in their ship that allows independent faster than light travel. Though for extremely long hauls such as across the galaxy, special warp gates are available to send a ship across vast distances in a few days what would normally take years to do.

The Red Corsair

Played by: Vostroya

Name: Cass Seradin

Race: Human (Genetically Augmented)
Age: 29
Occupation: Pirate Lord, Defacto Ruler of the Scarus Sector

Skill set:

Genetically engineered human - Cass was the product of a selective breeding and genetic engineering program, based on the eugenic philosophy that held improving the capabilities of a man improved the entire Human race. Augments produced by the program possessed physical strength and analytical capabilities considerably superior to ordinary Humans, and were created from a variety of Earth's ethnic groups. The engineering created many advantages to these newly created super humans including faster learning, and stronger and faster bodies that are virtually immune to diseases. Their minds capable of photographic memory and rapid decision making.

Ship-to-Ship combat - Years of plundering the space lanes of military and civilian ships alike has given the Tyrant an innate ability to judge how to fight a ship and either destroy it or capture it. Finding its weaknesses and uses his own ships capabilities to the utmost efficiency. Using his cybernetics he is able to plug his mind into the ships various computers and able to see the ship's various data streams and damage with his mind.

Boarding Party Combat/Short range weapons - Even after a ship is disabled the crew might not be, and in those cases, Seradin usually accompanies his heavily armed boarding party. Fighting in the heavily congested and narrow passages requires lots of time and experience to master. This also requires heavy armor and short range weapons, both of which he has ample supply and experience.

Genius Criminal Mind - Since Cass became a pirate and syndicate leader in his own right. The Tyrant has done everything to learn how to manage his massive criminal empire. Taking tid bits of knowledge from senior leaders and captains when he first started his pirate career, he began to quickly build up his own power base within the Galaxy. His altered brain allowing him to react, fight, and think at a level few aliens had ever seen a human operate at. His enemies quickly fell before him, gangs joined up with his growing success, and his reputation became one to be feared within the galaxy for his incredible skill as a space pirate.

Character History: Cass Seradin was not born to a mother or a father, instead he was born inside of a laboratory . The product of years of military funded genetic research. Gene splicing and manipulation of his very DNA to try and create a walking killing machine. Many who were born from this process became flawed quickly and were destroyed. Cass was one of the few who seemed to be a success. As a young boy growing up in the research laboratories, he saw the scientists try to replicate their success with Cass dozens of times, each time finding that they could not replicate the results. Leaving Cass Seradin as the only member of his unique class.

Though Cass Seradin grew up with no family, he quickly found that he was interested in space. He began to read and learn as much as he could about starships and the sciences. Through the observation of the scientists who created him, Cass went to three different prestigious colleges, and graduating from each of them by the time he was only 15. He went on to become an expert in Star ship design and weapons designer, the Confederacy Military soon found his skill and recruited him to design the latest line of starships for the military. They wanted him to create a new line of battleships that would give the super power a distinct advantage in their military strength against the other powers. Cass learned that a cold war had started between the Confederacy and the other major powers. They were competing with each other in who could make the best arms, ships, and who had control over the most territory. Seradin was ecstatic at this development and accepted immediately. It was his dream to go to space at the helm of what would become a prototype of his new ship. It took him all of his teenage years and several of his adult life, but he finally succeeded in his mission. He showed the blueprints to the new “Vengeance” class dreadnaught battleships to the military brass, he could see the admirals drooling over all the new technology and weapons that were going to be installed.

It was easy to get the clearance and the funds to create his super weapon. His request to captain it was however, something that deeply hurt him. The Admirals laughed when he asked that when the ship was complete that he be allowed to captain it. They claimed that an “egghead” couldn’t command a ship, and that it was his job to create, not captain. He would be doomed to rot in his laboratory, cursed to create beautiful creations that would never be his. He held his tongue in front of the brass, but his mind changed that day. He vowed that he would be freed of his prison, and that the Confederacy would come to regret their choice.

Once the prototype ship was completed, the day before the launching ceremony, Cass snuck aboard his own ship. Using his innate knowledge of the architecture of the ship to his advantage, he sneaked his way past the skeleton guards in the ship he made it to the command bridge and using hidden override codes in the ships computers, he was able to arrest full control over the ship. Using the ships on board defense systems, he was able to kill the guards with ease inside of the ships hallways. Once the ship was clear of guards, he allowed the few people he was able to convince to join him onto the ship and he powered the ship away from the docks. A massive explosion racked the shipyard and laboratories where Cass had worked, destroying his research, documents, and blueprints of his ship. Effectively insuring that his work could not be copied by those who came after him.

Once free of Confederacy space, Cass Seradin found the lonely Scarus Sector and set up his base of operations there. What was once a small raiding and pirate base, quickly became the crime capital of the Galaxy, with Cass Seradin as its Tyrant King.

Personality: When on the bridge of his dreadnaught, Seradin is the picture of calm and professional leadership. Able to make smart choices and rally the crew when things turn bleak. During down time, he is much more relaxed. Such is the policy of his ship. A lack of a uniform policy or even a clothes policy represents his believe in the freedoms of his crew. But even when off duty, he still has the aura of command, many fist fights and brawls have been stopped dead still by him just entering the room. Such is the reputation of his other extreme. His only true rule aboard his ship is absolute loyalty to him. Any person caught violating that rule is quick to be released to space via the airlock. When ruling over the hundreds of various gangs and syndicates that call his sector home, Seradin is even more ruthless than his reputation as the Tryant would lend to people. Any who are found out to be or even suspected of trying to undermine his absolute rule over the sector are immediately tortured, killed, or sold into slavery.

The “Bane’s Shadow”

The Bane’s Shadow’s firepower is able to destroy even the most capable warship with ease even while traveling at faster than light speeds.

Size Comparisons

Bridge:

Bridge Layout 1
Bridge Layout 2

The bridge of the Bane’s Shadow is an open, wide spaced room that allows the crew to move freely between sections of the area with ease and without having to bump into each other. Each section of consoles and equipment is given a specific purpose, from navigation to tactical command.  Each station has several operators. Most of the simple operations of the ship are automated and during hyperspace travel or minor moving, the bridge is normally only staffed by a skeleton crew, normally about one crewman for each station. Just to ensure that there are no errors or mistakes. During battles or operations, the bridge is filled with personnel to run all the secondary systems or to run manual control.

The Captains Ready Room is behind and to the right of the Captain’s chair. The door leads into a small room that allows the Captain to relax or talk with his officers or crew in private away from the bridge but near enough so that if he is needed he can be back in the bridge within moments. At the entrance to the room is usually one or two guard droids that control access to the room. This allows not just anyone to enter the Captains private space without permission from the Captain when he is not expecting someone. The room is filled with small mementos and trophy’s that the Void Wolf likes to look at. Various paintings, weapons, and pictures are hung from the walls. The chairs are comfortable and the room is quiet and gives a large window view of space. Just to the right of the Captains desk is a small private elevator that gives the Captain direct access to the Captains Quarters deeper down into the ship. This allows the captain to directly access the bridge during emergencies or when his presence is needed quickly when he is off duty. Various communications modules and a holographic generator allow the Captain to conduct his private dealings with his contacts without the risk of nosy ears and eyes from the crew.

Crew Quarters

Senior Officer Quarters

The senior officers are allowed larger accommodations than the regular crew. A spacious apartment style room is what rank gets you on the Banes Shadow. The perk of having a personal bathroom is widely envied by the regular crew. Each room has a separate bedroom, bathroom and a comfortable living room with a large window view of space. Large closets allow for multiple outfits and clothes to be stored. There are even advanced sections of the closet that allow for armor and weapons to be stored privately instead of housed in the ships multiple armories.

Captains Quarters

The Captain as any naval man would suspect has the largest quarters. The biggest additions are the inclusion of a private office as well as a private briefing room for when the captain needs to talk to all of his senior staff for discussion of new targets or missions. In total his quarters are around the size of a large condominium. The Captains quarters are located above most of the other living quarters and they are located on the backside of the ship under the Command Bridge tower. This means that his windows face the rear of the ship and offer a large view of space. Since the captains rooms are large it allows him to store all of his important weapons, expensive items, and trophies with more security than his ready room.

Standard Crew Quarters

The regular crew members have smaller but still spacious living quarters. Each crewman has a private room and bed. Each of these rooms are clustered together in groups of four or five and connected to a shared living space and restrooms, much like a dormitory. The crew are allowed such space because of the vast automation and droids of the ship which requires significantly less crewman to run the ship as would be normally expected for this class of vessel. Were as in many naval vessels crewman are “hot bunked” meaning that they have to share small bunks with two or even three other crewman in large clusters of other bunks.

As always, questions, comments, interest, and concerns are always welcome!

What kind of alien species will you allow? :D

Already-created species from say Mass Effect or Star Trek perhaps? Any other Scifi universes? Or is it totally free and we can make whatever we like, if we don't want to be strictly human? :)

You are completely free to use or make any species you wish, wither it be from an established series like Star Trek or Mass Effect, or creating your own custom race. I will evaluate the custom species to ensure it would not be too powerful. I do not wish to have characters that are superman.

Yay! It's up! When I have a chance, I'll get on a computer and make my character. :)

So Vos a question for ya, there is obviously an alliance style side (the good guys) would you alow an ex soldier turned syndicate member be a part of it? Like an ex soldier who is now just a hired gun?
“The Doctor: This is bad, I don't like this. [kicks console and yells in pain] Never use force, you just embarrass yourself. Unless you're cross, in which case... always use force!
Amy: Shall I run and get the manual?
The Doctor: I threw it in a supernova.
Amy: You threw the manual in a supernova? Why?
The Doctor: Because I disagreed with it! Now stop talking to me when I'm cross!”

Also an Update for all, I fixed some image problems that the first post had. Like the missing size comparison picture, as well as the main photo of the Bane's Shadow. Let me know if there are any broken links to pics.

ShadowFox89

Hmm... Does the Bane's Shadow have a flight deck for a compliment of space fighters? I'm thinking possibly a wingleader if so... or a chief engineer for the ship otherwise, who likes building lots of mechanical toys to use on her slaves and let the other syndacite members use on her.

Vostroya

Yes it does, there is a small fighter compliment, supported by drones launched from the command ship. I think that would be a very cool character!

ShadowFox89

Sounds good. I tend to play subs more than doms, so even if she had a slave, she'd be a sub in the bedroom...

This looks like an interesting game!

Am thinking of a syndicate member who would be based off of the space station Xen. In specific am thinking of a "Madame" type, running a few whorehouses on different levels of the station, specializing in the "exotic", the more rare the species, the more expensive they'd be. She'd work closely with the slavers and be utterly loyal to the Red Corsair...after all, who else would let her exploit so many others for her own pleasure and profit!

I'll work up a full CS and see what you think.

:D Am working on her now...she is shaping up a bit differently then I had originally pictured in my head...love it when characters take on a shape/will of their own!

Lilianna "Lily" Devore
Played by:Caela

Name: Lilianna "Lily" Devore

Race: Human, Cybernetic Enhancements
Age: 27
Consortium Occupation: Madame
Consortium Rank: High

Skill set: Cybernetic enhancements: Hidden under Lily's skin is an army of nanites. These small robots drift through her bloodstream enhancing her in a variety of ways. The most obvious is that she heals incredibly quickly. What would take a "normal" person days to heal, she can heal in hours, a sever wound that would normally take weeks, she recovers from in days. The nanites have, over the course of years, increased her strength, agility, speed, and bone density, making her a surprisingly skilled, and hard to hurt, fighter.

What she doesn't discuss are the other "enhancements" that were done to her as a child. Scans (if she allowed them) would show small microprocessors strategically placed throughout her brain, designed to increase synaptic function they have given her a nearly photographic memory, but also give her the ability to erase information she considers unnecessary, thus saving memory space and keeping processing speed of the microprocessor at peak efficiency.

Hand-to-hand Combat: Because of her nearly perfect memory recall, and her nanite enhanced skills she is proficient in a variety of hand-to-hand styles and at combining them in surprising ways that her opponents rarely expect.

Business Acumen:  Lily has a surprising mind for business, she sees opportunities where others only see problems, advantages where others see weakness. She takes a long view of her own business, examining the big picture and accepts short term losses with grace if she believes they will lead to longer term gains.

Character History: Lily is an orphan. She was born to a single mother who died in childbirth. She has never known, or cared, who her father was and has never sought to find the man. As a child she was a ward of the state, a state that eventually found uses for the pretty brunette child in one of their labs. She was part of an experiment designed to create super-soldiers or enhanced spies. Her nanites were supposed to give her the exact enhancements that she has, but they were also supposed to work in conjunction with her microprocessors to make her absolutely loyal...their programming failed.

Instead of keeping her loyal, it seemed that they also enhanced her sense of will and desire for self-determination. She became subtly and overtly, antagonistic to the people "caring" for her until their experiments, at least on her, were cancelled. Before they simply left her in the streets to fend for herself, they did manage to erase any memory of where, or exactly who, their were but were unable to wipe her memory completely without her aid, but they could fog it enough that she would never find them again.

She was only 14.

Left to her own devices she had to scramble to put food in her belly, fighting, thieving, whoring, whatever she needed to do in order to eat. She quickly developed skills and a name with more unsavory characters as a girl who could be bought (for many different types of jobs) and who would keep her mouth shut. Without giving her loyalty to any one faction she managed to earn enough to, eventually, buy her first slave, and start making money on the misfortune of other people instead of her own.

The last few years have been spent growing her business. Buying more girls, the more exotic the better, and looking fro a place to permanently establish her little stable. Over time she's managed to make a few enemies (mostly people who underestimated the petite brunette) but she also earned a reputation for being ruthless and most people attempt to steer clear of her bad side.

Personality: Lily can be kind, but at her core she is intelligent and pragmatic. She sees the world through a harsh perspective, considering it very much to be an "eat or be eaten" kind of galaxy and she has no intention of ever being anyone's prey. While she's not overtly cruel, she also has no problem with causing someone pain if they are in her way or if one of her "girls" misbehaves. She doesn't give her loyalty easily, but when she does it is absolute and the few people that have betrayed her (excepting those first scientists who managed to hide their identities from her) didn't live long afterward to tell of it, but before she killed them, she destroyed them utterly first.

How did the Red Corsair hear about and recruit you?: He didn't. Or rather, if he had been intending to, she beat him to the punch. Lily had been looking for a safe place to set up a more permanent residence, a place she wouldn't have to worry about local authorities needing a never-ending string of bribes in ever changing hands. A place where she would need to worry about the local authorities at all.

Three years ago a slaver she had made a purchase from told her about a space station out on the back end of the galaxy. Much of what he told her she simply disregarded (even then The Red Corsair's reputation proceeded him) as exaggeration or outright lies, but the basics sounded good enough that she actually wrote up and encrypted a proposal for him. He ran a crime syndicate, his men would need a loyal and easily accessed method of relieving their tensions and having their own whorehouse ready at hand could be an excellent distraction from other trouble that they might otherwise get into. She would, of course, pay him a fee (monthly, yearly, to be determined in further communications) on a regular basis, but her space would be her own, her "houses" would be strictly under her rules and while he would never have to pay for use of any of her girls, even HE would be expected to follow House Rules if he came to make use of them.

Communications, sent through slavers who had ready access to both of them, went back and forth for over a year before mutually beneficial terms were agreed to. At which point Lily kept her favorite five girls (the most skilled and exotic) and sold off the others to pay for their passage and give them the first payment owed to the Red Corsair for their installation on his space station.

Since then she has opened three more "Comfort Houses" on various levels of the station, allowing for visitors, staff, and syndicate members to all make use of a steady flow of girls. Rules in each house vary based on the themes relevant to the  House involved but all include such rules as not leaving any permanent marks or maiming the girls.

Lily is protective of her property.

Additional Information: Lily doesn't use many weapons, but there is always a knife of some sort on her person and she's not afraid to pull it on even the Corsair himself if he was abusing one of her girls.

On’s: Intelligence, capability, dominant partners (she has to be in charge in ever other area of her life, being able to give up that control in her sexual encounters appeals to her), a sense of humor, experimenting (she is willing to negotiate quite a bit, and while she'll try most things at least once, it may only be once!)
Off’s: Stupidity, bathroom play, maiming, bestiality

Whorehouse General Rules:

1) The male/female you are about to use is my property, not yours. You are just renting him/her.

2) A rental contract will be signed with every visit to any of the Whorehouses. Each contract will specify how much time and what activities have been negotiated and paid for.
a)Deviating from said contract (and my slaves will inform me of deviations, they are more frightened of me than you) will be cause for fine and possible suspension, or exclusion, from use of my property.
b)Time deviations that interrupt another patrons scheduled time will result in you being charged for that patrons time as well as your own.
3) I have a House specifically geared toward BDSM tastes and desires, such activities will not be negotiated for the girls in either of the other two houses.
        a) You will have to demonstrate, to MY satisfaction and standards, a proficiency with any instrument you wish to use on my property. I will not have my property injured/broken by your ineptitude.
        b) If you wish to learn a new implement/skill, time and a teacher can be negotiated.
        c) If you inflict harm beyond the bound of your contract you will incur both a fine and be responsible for any associated medical costs incurred by your actions and will face suspension or exclusion from said House.
4) I do not hold to a "you break it, you bought it" policy.
        a) If you break one of my men/women you will be responsible for any and all associated medical care needed to fix said property.
        b) If said property cannot be repaired, you will be held responsible for purchasing a new piece of property of equivalent value.
        c) If you cannot cover the cost of repair or replacement, said cost will be taken out of your own hide.

At least some Toppy types. I would say that Lily is more of a bottom than an actual sub.
