Eternal New Message Notification

So, I've got a constant notification that I have a new message at the top of the board, even though I don't have a new message. I have done multiple reloads of the site, and even reset my cache, which also results in logging me out of the site, so I've done the logging out and logging back in check.

I'm using a fully updated version of the Chrome browser on Windows 10.

It's gone away now. Maybe it was enough to just get a new message.
