For piece of Order: This thread will NOT contain Gundams nor New-Types!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only suits available will be Production Suits, and their variants from the Principality of Zeon, and The Earth Federation.

This Story is open to everyone! LBGT-(whatever the rest of it is) Friendly.

Synopsis:

The Year is Universal Century 0079. The Group of colonies furthest from the Earth, Side 3, have declared their independence. Calling themselves the "Principality of Zeon". They wage a bloody war with the Earth Federation for their independence. The Atrocities committed in the name of Freedom saw both side lose half their respective populations. After 6 months of fierce fighting, Both sides have come to a stalemate.

During this war, Many have stepped up to answer the Call of Duty. To fight and shed blood for their Ideals. All gave some, some gave all. Some of their names shall be remembered, most will not.

Game Details:

This is a Modified-Freeform story set during the One Year War on the European Continent.

There will be the two sides, Zeon, and Federation.

This isn't a story where one side, or the other is represented in a "Bad Guy" Role. This is more a story of the soldiers, and MS pilots on both sides of the conflict.

Squads will be of three MSs, and a Support Truck that carries extra Ammunition/supplies (Depending on weapons load out)

Roles:
Squad Commander: No Higher than Staff Sargent in Rank
MS Pilots:
Support Truck Team: At least Two, no more than four.
Support Truck Roles: Sonar Operator/Truck Commander.
                                     Driver
                                     Gunner
                                     Field Medic/Secondary Gunner

NOTE: All Support Vehicle Roles are Field supply/Repair Specialists that can make minor-Major repairs in the field.

Players are allowed Multiple Characters so long as they do not go overboard. All Characters must have GM's Approval first.

At the beginning of the story, All players will be using Base line Suits. For Zeons that is the Zaku II J-Type for Terrestrial Combat. For The Federation, It is the GM-Ground type.

Zaku II:

GM-Ground Type:

As Time, and the war progress, New suits, and Variants will be available for use.

Battlefield Modifications will be allowed so long as it has GM approval. GM reserves Right to request Modification of Modification to keep within Story parameters.

DICE SYSTEM

I'm currently working on a dice system that will be Simple, and relatively intuitive to use.

Thread Set up:

Both Sides will have Hard point Bases (Concrete Buildings, runways, barracks, etc.) Attacks on Enemy Bases will not be possible at this time.

There will be three Threads Total aside from the OOC Thread:

Federation Base
Zeon Base
Battle Ground.

Base is where most of the Social interactions will be placed, Including Sexual encounters. Bases will have an NCO club, Post Exchange, Barracks, Showers, Rec Room, MS Hanger. MS pilots will Individual Rooms.

Depending on Interest, and story, a Fourth Thread may be opened for a Forth Area: No Town.

I'll apply for one of the GM pilot postions. Sniper like before.

I'm going for a GM pilot position as well.

That is cool! You would be Manning a GM Ground Type. like in the picture.

Okay, then this will be your starting Suit: (Though, being a Sniper, that means you won't be Team leader, and your ammo would be limited. The Support Truck should have more.)

Mac84

Sounds fine to me.

Now we just need some Zeons, and more players.

Silk

Mac84

Welcome back Silk.

Hopefully, I'll do a much better job than Last time. :p

Zeth

Well, I would like to play Zeon then. I have an absurd love for the Zaku. Unless all the players are on one side to make the game run easier.

Mac84

So far, you're the only one for the Zeon, Silk hasn't picked a side yet.

I like the Zaku as well. :D though the Gouf custom will always be my favorite Zeon Suit. XD

Zeth

My favorite Zeon suit is the MSM-07E Z'Gok-E. But there is not much call for underwater battles usually.

pendarious

Zeon for me...I'm aiming to get a DOM eventually *laughs* but for now I'll take a Zaku II and since Zeth was first to post for Zeon he can be commander.

*Pokes pendarious* Oh no! You are not sticking me with boss duty. I'm just here to shoot federation Mobile Suits and other such targets.

I do apologize, but I don't see much opportunity for the Z'Gok amphibious Mobile Suit. The Setting is more central Europe. So a lot of Rolling hills, Moutains, and meadows. A few lakes, but nothing really suitable for a Z'Gok.

Doms will be made available in time.

Deathnote

I'm not really all that familiar with the original series.  I read maybe... the first three volumes of the manga?  I grew up on Gundam Wing and watched Gundam Seed, but something tells me knowledge of those two series aren't really going to help.  :p

Anyways... is there such a thing as a mobile suit that can turn invisible that showed up during the One Year War?  If not, maybe a type that's known for being extremely fast and mobile?  I'll take the side that has (or will have) one of those.

Juggtacular

Well we're starting out with the original mobile suits. So it'll be more pilot skill than the machine, until it gets to the point where you can make personal upgrades and stuff I'm guessing.

Zeth

Well the original Series only had ONE Gundam piloted by a lone ace named  Amuro Ray and regular Mobile Suits played a much larger role on both sides of the war. This RP is more focused on the Regular Mobile suit troops and will not have the flashy Gundam Aces of Gundam Wing.  Unless I misinterpreted Mac84's posts.

Juggtacular

Yeah pretty much this is focusing on the soldiers, not the stars.

pendarious

there were no "stealth" (invisible) machines during the one year war and machines with high speed performance only existed in the form of "Chars Zaku II custom", RX 78-2 (GUNDAM), and the Gelgoog to my knowledge....but then again it's been ages since I've seen anything that was strictly involving the one year war so my memory could be off

I know.  I was just planning for the long term.

Hmm... did some research on Earth Federation mobiles suits and I suppose I could just wait until the GM-Light Armor variant becomes available.

Mac84

Welcome Deathnote,

I am sorry, but knowledge of Gundam Wing would be of little use. Gundam Seed is basically a retelling of the original Story with more gundams.

Actually it had a couple of gundams in the original One Year War Canon. There was the Gundam that was piloted by Amuro Ray, then their was the "Production" Ground Type Gundams, (I don't consider them actual productions suits since they were cobbled together from spare parts of the "V" Project, and no spare parts made. Hence Karen Joshua's "GM Head" Gundam in 08th MS Team.), Then there was the NT-01 "Alex" Gundam from 0080 War in the Pocket OVA. That Gundam was custom made for Amuro, but was never delivered.

Yes, you're right Zeth. I wanted to focus more on the "Regular" Forces, and their trails, and battles instead of all the Flashy Super Suits, and Newtype Super Ace Pilots. But that doen't mean the Suits are going to be wholly background, they're characters to, How they develop will be up to the pilots.

Customization in the form of Battlefield Modifications. XD (Explain more once I actually figure it out. :P)

Most of the "High Performance Machines on the Federation Side were very limited to Gundams themselves, or Experimental GMs like the one with the Anti-New-Type system EXAM.

For the Zeon's they actually had several. Char's Zaku becomes the MS-06S (The COmmander Type, I think), then the the Zaku High mobility suit MS-06R-1A. But those are found more in the Space Theater. For the Ground theater, The DOM with its hovering had the edge in mobility, and speed. Until the Gelgoog came out.

Working on opening Scerenios for Feds, and Zekes!

Zeth

Would it be in bad taste to name my Principality of Zeon pilot Zeke then?

Fed Guy, "Why do you fight for Zeon?"
My Guy"Because my name is Zeke."
Fed Guy,"Oh."
