It has been 16 years since the execution of Order 66; The Great Jedi Purge is still taking place and Emperor Palpatine has solidified his control of the galaxy. But already whispers of resistance can be heard. The seeds of descent have been sown and the future leaders of what will one day become the Rebel Alliance are beginning to plan and prepare for what lies ahead.

To say that the events which take place in these times will drastically shape the future of the galaxy is to make a great understatement.

The only real questions are, who will have the courage to take action...and what actions will they take?

OOC

Alright...... This is my idea thread for a non-cannon Star Wars Game. Now before you read any further you should know that when I say non-cannon I don't only mean that players will play non-cannon characters. I also mean that the actions taken by the players' characters can (and most likely will) alter the events of the history of the Star Wars universe. As for how that history is changed...that is entirely up to the characters' actions. SO basically I'm proposing a Star Wars game that offers players the ability to actually have a 'real' effect on the course of events in Star Wars history. IF (A) You're George Lucas(and in a bad mood) or (B) this concept is something that upsets you/violates everything you love about Star Wars. You probably shouldn't join this game. BUT if you're like me and think this is quite intriguing, then please voice some interest. I know that right now this seems a bit helter-skelter/unprepared. But this is just an interest check in the purest sense of the word. Should a suitable amount of interest be shown(at least 5-6 people). I have quite a bit more that can be posted up ;D

Also please voice interest by posting something along the lines of "I'm interested" in this thread. AND as always any questions and/or comments are welcome!

Arkaniel

I am very interested in this.

Are you looking at everyone playing a role in this rising Rebellion? Or do you want some of us to be on the empire's or on some other faction's side? It doesn't change much, as I can either play a young Sith Apprentice that is suceptible to being swayed to the other side, Or I am willing to play a Jedi Knight of the Republic, still only in his thirties and having been on the run for those sixteen years since the start of Order 66. Another possibility is a young smuggler, perhaps with some untrained Force potential. The possibilities are endless and I like the fact canon can be changed.

Will there be a Death star involved?

Very interested in this! I would love to play a badass Sith dominatrix! :D

Your kinky whips and imaginative use of the force will never break my proud Jedi-in-hidding, never I say, but I challenge you to do your best. <.<

Arkaniel

Amazon, if you so desire, my character could be your apprentice. Of course, you can creatively train him as you see fit.

Phantasmatical

I would be interested in joining, although I am not so fond of playing force-wielding characters, myself. If I can do that without becoming irrelevant to the game, I'm in.

Oh you shall fall down! Much like all the Jedis before! *Evil grin*

I certainly like this idea! Especially if she corrupts someone towards the dark side methodically! :D

Arkaniel

Well, he could start as a naive Force potential teenager that is found by you on a mission.

DKDBSD

Interesting I'm interested if a duel wielder is welcome.

Major Major

Since everyone here apparently is wanting to play either a Sith or a Jedi, I thought I'd play something slightly different, like a smuggler.

Major Major

Oh, and to get the ball rolling, how about I put my character up for everyone to see?

Urbanzorro

Please hold off on that until I've finished a post I'm working on that should help with character creation ;)

That totally works. :)

Arkaniel

Any preference as to Homeworld? I am looking at a human, I think. Perhaps a street rascal somewhere urban, like Coruscant, Corellia, or any of the Core worlds. You could find him by him making the mistake of trying to pick your pockets, unconsciously using some of the force to subtly conceal himself. Not good enough to fool you by a long shot, of course.

Major Major

Hey, Ark? Why don't you tag along with my character? She could use an extra pair of hands.

Arkaniel

Actually, that could be interesting, too, Major Major. but he'll probably won't be around for long if the sith take him.

elfguy

Right now I'm thinking of making a Sith but I could also go with Bounty Hunter.

Major Major

Heya Akiko; if Arkaniel isn't interested in joining my character, wanna team up?

Sounds interesting.

;D

Major Major

I'll explain what the character I have in mind will be like in a PM.

Arkaniel

If you really want to recuit me for your crew, Major, I'd be interested of course. We could have our little smuggling band.

Major Major

That's a good idea, actually; the three of us would make a good counter-balance to all the Jedi and Sith.

Arkaniel

If you are interested, I could be the slicer, with the quick fingers and a good shot in a fight. While I would love to be a pilot, I want to try something different. Perhaps when in some tight spots, he is your second gunhand and in space, he operates one of the turrets? What kind of ship would you be interested in?

Major Major

Well, we'd be smugglers, so something like a light stock freighter, but I'd prefer to avoid a CEC YT-1300 ship like the Millenium Falcon...

Phantasmatical

If you'd like another character who doesn't use the force, I'd be interested in having my character be a part of this little crew, possibly filling the role of medic or tech guy.

DKDBSD

Nice balance look like most of the characters are potential non - force users. I'd either like to play an apprentice whos been learnign during those sixteen years or a cadet who gets picked up.

elfguy

Well assuming I play a Sith she can have an apprentice, F or M, that would work fine.
----

DKDBSD

Well I have a basic idea very likely a character that would start as an assasin.

Urbanzorro

Ok....so my computer decided to eat the post I had been working on. SO I'm rewriting said post. Hence why it took so long for this to be put up here. Anyways here's some info that should help with character creation!

For the purpose of keeping this game at least somewhat controlled and helping me make a single story out of what could easily become a number of separate ones. Everyone's characters will need to fall into one of the following "Classes" these classes are very open to interpretation, I left them vague for a reason ;D

Imperial Positions
It should be noted that due to the Empire's anti-alien views all character's with Imperial positions must be human, or otherwise approved by the GM.

Special Operations Officer: An elite branch of Imperial Intelligence, Special Operations has a reputation for carrying out especially important or unsavory missions.

Imperial Inquisitor: The Inquisitors' primary purpose is the interrogation of Jedi or particularly resistant subjects. However, since Imperial Intelligence is quite effective in interrogating the average subject, they rarely require the services of an Inquisitor. Inquisitors instead spend much of their time looking for potential Jedi candidates and Force activity in the backwater parts of the Galactic Empire, most often in the Outer Rim Territories.

Emperor's Hand: An Emperor's Hand, or Hand of the Emperor, is a Force-sensitive operative recruited, trained, and employed by Emperor Palpatine to perform missions that are impossible, secret, or both.

Unaffiliated Positions

Smuggler: Someone who engages in the clandestine shipment of goods or persons to prevent taxation or some other impediment. The goods shipped are often highly illegal or banned in some sectors. Smuggling has absolutely thrived under the Galactic Empire's strict control of goods.

Bounty Hunter: Mercenaries for hire who track down and capture or kill anyone with a price on their head, although they are also known for doing nearly anything for the right price including the protection of clients. The best bounty hunters are very well armed and have very effective weapons

Rogue Force User: Neither Jedi nor Sith. Rogue Force Users are beings who's connection to The Force is, for whatever reason, strong enough for them to tap into it. Though they for the most part do not follow the code of the Jedi, Palpatine still views any uncontrolled use of The Force as a threat, and so many Force Users have found themselves forced into hiding for fear of death...or worse.

Anti-Imperial  Positions

Dissident: Whether they be Imperial Senators, freedom fighters, former separatists, or simply those who have had all they loved destroyed by the Empire. Palpatine's enemies are many. And while most through out the galaxy are cowed by fear into simply allowing the Empire to hold power some are unwilling to bear the shame, some seek to take action to restore freedom to the galaxy.

Military Personnel The rise of the Empire has seen drastic changes in the military forces of the galaxy. Planetary armies and militias have found themselves forced into retirement and men and women have been drafted to serve in the armies of the Empire. From both within the Emperor's armies and without men and women can be found who have no wish to use their military skills in support of oppression.

Jedi A member of the Jedi Order, who studies, serves and uses the mystical energies of the Force; usually, the light side of the Force. The weapon of the Jedi is the lightsaber, a weapon with a blade made of pure energy. Most of the galaxy's Jedi have been killed, turned to the dark side, or forced into hiding. Despite their small numbers the Emperor still views the Jedi as a great threat to his power and will stop at nothing to see them driven to extinction.

There will be more to come very soon! ;D

Also I'm currently considering employing a system for this game. Anyone familiar with any of my previous system games can attest to the fact that the system I will use is to the players nearly 100% freeform. The only time which players will have to do any real 'system work' is during character creation (Which I try to make as fun as possible) after that the system is only used behind the scenes by yours truly. I'd like to get a feel for everyone's thoughts on this possibility. If your curious what the system looks like I invite you to visit one of my previous games that used it(for instance The Fate of Kilo Platoon, which is in my signature) and read through the posts so as to see that it actually feels freeform.

I for one dislike system games so I'm glad this will be done as much freeform as possible.

If there's no objection, I call dibs on the Emperor's Hand!

Urbanzorro

Perhaps I should clarify lol... each class isn't a "one only" thing. You could all be bounty hunters, or Jedi, or none of you could, or in between ;D

Mace Windu
Former Member of the Jedi Council

Position: Jedi

Description: Is THE Mace Windu just now with replacement parts not all state-of-the-art and wearing non-descript clothes more like an average man than a Jedi. Among his new parts are both legs, his right hand and some optical implants that are obvious. Add to that a rough three day beard and a even more somber visage. He uses a new lightsaber a older design with a sturdy case, extra power cells and the same blade color a violetish color.

Personality: Dark, brooding and a shadow of his former self he is still dangerous and channels the darker impulses to ride the wave of the Force to do battle. Being the ONLY Jedi that ever defeated the Emperor in battle he is likely the biggest threat to him and his best agent. Too bad he doesn't give a damned at the moment he is drunk just as often as sober, has lost his spark and just unreliable but if motivated can be a dangerous threat. He has good points he does care about the weak and helpless, supports the Rebellion and will train those in the use of the Force. Fights well drunk, if sober is lethat thankfully for the Empire not common right now.

Equipment: Modified small transport basically a heavy fighter. lightsaber, clothes, credits, various currencies and a bottle of cheap hard drink (oddly always has one).

History: Fell to his death landing in a garbage collector, treated by friends of the Rebellion and shipped out by smuggling to the Outer Rim to recover. Since then spent time drinking, brooding, drinking, whoring, drinking, fighting and you guessed it drinking. Refound by the Rebllion leaders and coaxed into the fight again but is a shadow of his former glory. The leaders have them rethinking letting him in he has yet to do anything. If he gets his act together could be a very dangerous asset against the Empire.

Did anyone see the body?

Tossing in my hat he is technically a deadly Jedi Master but ,er, has issues.

I'm thinking a Jedi (Prestige class, mind you) that's in hiding amongst the rabble.

Prestige class is described as follows (Saga Edition, but it existed in 3.5 as well):
Jedi Shadow
The Jedi Council draws these elite guardians of the galaxy from a select group of Jedi. They seek out truth, defeat injustice, and track people and information. They investigate the presence of the dark side and bring it to light, whether it is a rising dark side threat or a dangerous crime lord. Using stealth and guile, they root out dark side activity and other threats to the Jedi Order, the Republic, and its citizens. They learn to use the Force to hide from sight, allowing them to penetrate to the source of danger.

I'd play a female Jedi Shadow, who's long since learned to hide herself when needed, and can hide her light saber using the force... otherwise, she appears as an average human(or other species). She could join Major Major's little smuggling troupe as a sort of a cover.

RubySlippers

Sereana Olorin
Crazy but Brilliantly Skilled Pilot
Force Sensitive Noone Wants to Train but Channels to Aid Her Piloting with Jedi Reflexes

Quote: I'm was following a tie fighter squadron over Tattoine, followed them from Alderaan damned Imperials have now a super tie fighter! (no ties are there) Going to take out the bastards! Now fill up my tank Imperial scum! (pointing her havy blaster at some lowly Imperial on a base she just obliterated on Tattoine except the refuling station which she will take out when she leaves)

Will work out the rest think a female Belushi in 1941 combined with one daring pilot that survived the attacks on both Death Stars in the movies, and Jedi Precognition at a basic level used in her piloting. She may be nuts but you want her aimed at the enemy in her own custom ship the Raptor a custom refitted small ship now fighter with lots of tricks. Former Mercenary but she loves a good fight and hopeless causes.

Urbanzorro

FML.....my post explaining the possible system just got eaten AGAIN.....

*Rubs Forehead*

Ok.....I'm going to take it as a sign that this should be done much more freeform than my other games ;D

Force Skill(Explained lower)

Force Abilities (explained lower)

The Force
Since The Force is going to/can play a very important part in the game for some characters. An explanation of how it will work in our game is needed. A character's strength in The Force will be measured by 2 ratings. They are

Force Power: The measure of how easily your character can tap into The Force. This does not constitute how skilled they are at using The Force. The best metaphor is that this is the amount of water that is in their well, not how skilled they are at drawing water from their well. There are 5 different levels of Force Power

Level 1 None Characters at this level have no real ability to tap into The Force

Level 2 Low Characters at this level are able to tap into The Force with effort. In earlier times beings with this level of power would come to the attention of The Jedi Order, but would not be able to truly use the force without being inducted into The Jedi training program. Their connection to The Force manifests itself as "luck,"  "good instincts," and "quick reflexes" without proper training.

Level 3 Moderate Characters at this level have a strong connection to The Force. They have the potential to truly use The Force with or without training. The 'average' Jedi Knight or Sith Apprentice normally possessed this level of power.

Level 4 High Level 4 beings are truly blessed by The Force, they have an exceptional ability to tap into it's power and wield it as they wish. This is the power level that beings such as Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker possessed.

Level 5 Very High(Requires GM's Permission) Very few beings in all of galactic history have had a connection to The Force that is strong enough to be ranked at Level 5. The amount of energy they can tap into is near limitless. To compare Level 5 beings to the likes of Yoda, Darth Vader, and Palpatine would not be an overstatement.

&

Force Skill Represents the amount of control with witch a character wields their power.  This can best be described as how well they can drive their car, not how fast the car can go.
(Players with a Force Power of Level 1 need not worry about Force Skill)

Level 1 Low Character's at Level 1 have received no formal training. What they know of using the Force has simply come from their experiences in life thus far.

Level 2 Moderate Characters at Level 2 have received some training by another Force user, they can best be compared to Padawans of the old Jedi Order

Level 3 High Characters at Level 3 have completed both basic and advanced levels of training, were these earlier times they would have already passed the Jedi trials and been granted the title of Jedi Knight.

Level 4 Very High(Requires GM's permission) Jedi and Sith Masters are the only beings who can claim Level 4 skill.

Equipment/Abilities:

Ok, so given the VAST amount of different pieces of weaponry and armor within the galaxy. It's a bit impractical (and far too cramping on creativity) to really limit what different items your characters can have. That having been said some form of balancing needs to be employed. SO I will be making a short list of different BIG things that player's can select. Each player will be given 20 points 'purchase' these items with. Each item on this list will have a description of what it is(and encompasses), it's cost (in points), and any requirements that need to be met to be able to use it. Anything not on the list (other than Force abilities) should be considered addable in a freeform manner ;D (though please keep things realistic) So with out further filibustering on my part here is the list....

Universal Force Abilities
All of the selections under the Universal Force Abilities heading can be taken by any character that meets the requirements

Force Power The measure of how easily your character can tap into The Force. This does not constitute how skilled they are at using The Force. Effect: Character's connection to The Force is as strong as described above.

Mind tricks A spectrum of Force powers which influence the thoughts of sentient creatures, most commonly used to coerce into agreement by suggestion through voice manipulation, or to cause one to reveal information
Effect: Character is able to preform all forms of the 'Jedi Mind Trick'
Cost: 2
Requirements: Level 2 or higher Force Power, Level 2 or higher Force Skill

The Art of Movement Higher form of movement powered by The Force which allows users to move faster than normal, as well as in ways that would normally be impossible
Effect: Characters are able to preform all forms of advanced movement which are assisted by The Force. I.E. Force jump, Force Speed, ect.
Cost: 1
Requirements: Level 2 or higher Force Power, Level 1 or higher Force Skill

Force Deflection: A Force power used by Jedi and Sith who were without a lightsaber, or chose not to carry one. It allowed the user to stop incoming projectile attacks via The Force, but took much skill in the Force to use and most Jedi preferred to use their lightsabers instead to deflect incoming attacks.
Effect: Characters are able to stop incoming ranged attacks with The Force.
Cost: 3
Requirements: Level 3 or higher Force Power, Level 2 or higher Force Skill

Telekinesis An ability that most Force-sensitives had. With it, they could lift objects according to their concentration and move them, hovering the items in any direction. This ability was the base for Force Pull, Force Throw and Force Push, as well as telekinetic lightsaber combat techniques such as Saber Throw.these are all the same power applied to different means. (This power does cover all forms of Telekinetic action)
Effect: Characters are able to preform all forms of Telekinetic action associated with The Force
Cost:  2
Requirements: Level 2 or higher Force Power, Level 2 or higher Force Skill

Sith Lightning A well known Force ability, most often used by the Sith. It is a purely offensive, energy-based attack that channels Force energy down the user's limbs, hurling arcing bolts of electricity from the wielder's fingertips or palms A skilled user can render a target unconscious with only a short burst. A single, powerful blast iss sufficient to kill a person instantly. It causes not only severe physical damage but also unbearable agony to the victim.
Effect: Characters are able to use Sith Lightning to it's full effect
Cost: 4
Requirements: Level 3 or higher Force Power, Level 3 or higher Force Skill

Force Scream: A Force power used by Dark Jedi or Sith. It is a scream, of strong frustration, rage, or grief, emitted through the Force. That is capable of smashing through mental and physical defenses with ease.

Cost: 1
Requirements: Level 2 or higher Force Power

Smuggler Items/Abilities
These items can only be selected by Smuggler characters

Transport Class Starship A transport was a small or medium sized spacecraft or other such craft commonly used for short cargo (or smuggling) runs that didn't require the use of a bulky freighter. (It should be noted that The Millennium Falcon COULD be considered a Transport Class size ship)
Effect: Characters have their own personal starship of the above stated class, allowing them to travel from planet to planet and system to system without relying on anyone else. Characters are able to upgrade their personal starship
Cost: 4
Requirements: None

Light Freighter Class Starship: Spacecraft used for small freight operations. They were popular choices for small shipping firms, independent haulers and smugglers for their low cost, ease of customization and a ubiquitous nature that helped avoid unwanted attention. (It should be noted that The Millennium Falcon COULD be considered a Light Freighter Class size ship)
Effect: Characters have their own personal starship of the above stated class, allowing them to travel from planet to planet and system to system without relying on anyone else. Characters are able to upgrade their personal starship
Cost: 4
Requirements: None

Corvette Class Starship: They were typically small, fast, maneuverable and relatively lightly-armed. Generally large enough to be considered a capital ship but smaller than a frigate, corvettes filled a variety of roles that ranged from picket duty within large fleets to system defense and convoy escort. Corvettes filled a comparatively inexpensive gap in the capital ship range of rebel, pirate, smuggler , and mercenary fleets and armadas. They were suitable for dealing with any ships smaller than themselves, and though they were not effective against larger ships without support, many were famous for outrunning and escaping them, thanks to their exceptional speed and maneuverability for a capital ship. (I should be noted that Rebel Blockade Runners were Corvette Class ships)
Effect: Characters have their own personal starship of the above stated class, allowing them to travel from planet to planet and system to system without relying on anyone else. Characters are able to upgrade their personal starship.
Cost: 5
Requirements: None

Cloaking Device: A mechanism capable of rendering a starship invisible to both sensors and the naked eye.
Effect: Character's personal starship is able to cloak itself, allowing it to escape detection when not using it's weapons.
Cost: 3
Requirements: Either a Corvette, Light Freighter, or Transport class starship

Ion Shield Generator An ion shield generator was a starship part responsible for generating the ion shields around a starship. Ion shields protected starships from ionic interference, such as the kind created by ion weapons.
Effect: Character's personal starship is immune to Ion weapons.
Cost: 4
Requirements: Either a Corvette, Light Freighter, or Transport class starship

Fynock: The designation of Incom Industries' high-end starship booster system.
Effect: Character's personal starship considerably faster/more maneuverable, allowing it to outrun most ships when moving slower than light speed.
Cost: 2
Requirements: Either a Corvette, Light Freighter, or Transport class starship

Crybabies: The slang terminology for small, unmanned signal projectors. A popular device amongst smugglers, criminals, and those who simply do not wish to be followed. Crybabies are essentially decoys deployed by a ship just before making a jump to lightspeed. Once deployed the devices enter lightspeed at the same time as the craft which deployed them, at different headings than said craft. Each crybaby has a transponder, and hyperspace signature identical to it's 'mother' craft. Essentially making tracking the ship near impossible as the ship's pursuers are forced to pick which trail to follow and simply hope it is the right one.
Effect: Character's personal starship is near impossible to track and cannot be directly followed after entering hyperspace.
Cost: 6

Character's Name Lucia Bailo

Character's Species Human

Character's Age 22

Biography Lucia was originally the daughter of a spice trader called Kael Bailo shortly before the purge began Lucia came upon a strange scene. It involved her mother and her fathers old friend a politician by the name of Tyrus Wren. Unsure of what it all meant she fled once it was finished and some months later after the end of the war her father and mother were arrested. In the wake of Lucia's tragedy Tyrus was revealed to be her godfather and he took her away from her old home to live on the Coruscant. There her life became very strange, gone were the hours of play and the study of mechanics and in their place was the studying of economics, politics, psychology, biology, fencing, shooting and several more subjects that according to Tyrus would make her a lady.

On her sixteenth birthday she was given her first real assignment her final test which she would have to accomplish with only her own resources. Her target was another senator a man who constantly blocked Tyrus's many attempts to further his own power. To pass this test Lucia first acquired a number of scouting droids pinpointing the weakest link in the senators security, then she used this knowledge and seduced one of the officers among her prey's guard, lastly she gained entrance into one of the senators parties and flirted with him in plain site of the previous conquest aiming to incur jealousy. That night the senator was killed in cold blood and the guard was arrested for the murder over the years she has killed many of her prey in round about ways and more direct ways. Recently she has come across curious information on Tyrus and has already begun to wonder why he picked her.

She looks good, character approved!

Also it should be noted that character's CAN things like armor, and blasters, ect. I just felt that making them part of the whole buying system would be a bit TOO extensive considering how big the Star Wars vers is. SO if you feel your character could use anything like that feel free to throw it in at the top of their equipment list and unless I think it's overpowered it should be fine ;D.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Player's Name= Major Major

Character's Name= Kala Yaadsud

Character's Species= Three-Quarters Miraluka / One-Quarter Echani

Character's Age= 26

Biography The planet Alpheridies, in the Abron system of the Farstey Sector, is not a place most people would choose for a holiday destination, to say the least. A backwater planet orbiting a red dwarf star in the Expansion Region, well off the main Hyperspace Routes, it is almost totally self-reliant to the point of being insular, and remained steadfastly neutral since before the Clone Wars. There is one thing that stands out about it though; it is the adopted homeworld of the Miraluka.

The Miraluka are perhaps one of the oddest Near-Human species in the Galaxy; for a start, every single member of the species is completely blind, as their eyes gradually faded from their genetic code. Secondly, every single member of the species is sensitive to the Force in one degree or another, certainly enough that they can instinctively use the ability "Force Sight" to replace their long gone eyes. Over the centuries hundreds of Miraluka have left Alpheridies and joined the galactic community, becoming powerful Jedi.

This is not a story about them, however, it is one about this woman, Kala Yaadsud. Kala is not a Jedi, and probably would never be one, even if the Jedi Order had not been purged by the Galactic Empire. Kala has turned her hand towards a different path; the path of a smuggler. She started out her smuggling career with something of a bang, winning her ship in a drunken sabaac game in Cloud City while on a trip to Bespin. After spending a year learning how to fly and getting her Captain's papers, she struck out on her own, to see what sort of name she could make for herself.

Currently, she's still only a small-time operator, but she has plans.....

Character Class= Smuggler

Equipment 1x stock freighter, the Sunchaser; 1x Industrial Automation R2 class Astromech Droid

Force Power= Level 2

Force Skill= Level 1

Force Abilities=
Force Sense: One of the most basic Force abilities for a Jedi.It used to feel impending danger and the presence of the dark side. A more concentrated, more directed form of this ability was likely how Jedi were able to see others without relying on their physical senses
Effect: Your character will have the heightened senses of a Jedi

12/20

SUNCHASER

A light freighter that Kala won in a tournament, the Sunchaser was modified by it's previous owner for smuggling purposes; it's a quick little ship, and most pirates have a hard time getting a bead on; not merely because she carries a Fynock booster, and flak guns; but also because it's painted a dark blue/green shade that makes it hard for the eye to follow.

Helenia

Im very interested in this RP as well, will be my first group one. So here my character, shout up if anything needs changing.

Players Name: Helina

Anero

Character Name: Anero Drant

Character's Species: Human

Character Class: Special Operations Officer

Character's Age: 28

Biography: People had always said she had good fortune, Anero didn’t see it like that. Her father had always said she was always in the right place at the right time, and with that things usually went her way. The execution of Order 66 had been in existence for 4 years and at 16 Anero joined the ranks of the Imperial Army and from the war against the Jedi came a position as an officer, her good fortune or luck seeing her take on one of the emperor’s new roles as a Special Operations Officer. Throughout the war she served and made herself a reputation. With the jedi purged now she seeks to defend what the emperor has created.

Seeing a lot of the Great Jedi Purge Anero holds bitterness towards users of the force. Her luck and fortune have seen her career progress in leaps and bounds sadly her fortunes do not extend to that of companionship or friendship. Her job demands she take on work that is undesirable leaving her with little time for trivial pursuits. She is both persistent and relentless in her work ethic and doesn’t take kindly to failures around her.

Equipment: Victory Class Star Destroyer
A warship designed for planetary defense, planetary assault, ground troop support, and ship-to-ship combat.the shields and hull armor of Victory I-class ships quite heavy compared to other vessels. One Victory-class vessel is capable of fighting a Dreadnaught-class cruiser to a stand-still. An impressive feat considering the size difference between the two vessels.
Effect: Your character has access to the Victory Class Star Destroyer, allowing them to travel from planet to planet and system to system without relying on anyone else. This ship has a slow speed, is very-heavily armed, armored, possess the ability to deploy small numbers of Tie Fighters, bombard planets, and defeat ships much larger than itself. Characters are NOT able to upgrade this ship.
Cost: 5
5/20

Assassin Droid: Droids constructed for the purpose of killing sentient beings on behalf of those in power. Equipped with an array of weapons, assassin droids can also be used as elite infantry when the need arises for skillful and quickly adaptable soldiers with unquestionable loyalty, due to the higher level of autonomy that is incorporated into an assassin droid's droid-"brain" processor design, since independence is a functional requirement. Emperor Palpatine has ordered all assassin droids banned throughout the galaxy due to their constant use against himself and his forces but, as with most Imperial bans, these laws do not hold sway of his own agents.
Effect: Character has command of an assassin droid, this droid can be ordered to remain with your player, or hunt down and eliminate a specific target (this droid can be of any model, and is to be controlled by the player when with the player's character, when on mission to eliminate a target the droid is under the control of the GM. Representing it acting of it's own volition to complete it's mission.)
Cost: 5
10/20

Top Level Clearance: Authorization to view the highest of Imperial secrets is hard to obtain, but once it has been obtained it is an extremely useful too.
Effect: Your character  has access to nearly every bit of Imperial information (delivered via PMs)
Cost: 4
14/20

Imperial Authority: Any local Imperial forces can easily be cowed into compliance at the mere mention of incurring the wrath of Imperial Intelligence.
Effect: Your character can command Imperial garrisons to hunt for others on the planets they visit
Cost: 4
18/20

Force Power: Level 2 Low Characters at this level are able to tap into The Force with effort. In earlier times beings with this level of power would come to the attention of The Jedi Order, but would not be able to truly use the force without being inducted into The Jedi training program. Their connection to The Force manifests itself as "luck,"  "good instincts," and "quick reflexes" without proper training.
Effect: Character's connection to The Force is as strong as described above.
Cost: 2

Character's Name Kizar Kommizar

Character's Species Zakbrak

Character's Age 32

Biography
The Iridonian Zabrak Kizar Kommizar was discovered to be force sensitive at a young age and had only the most vague memories of home, pictures and sounds. As a youngling he was playful if competitive and this trait continued in his padawan years when he was apprenticed under the Zeltron Jedi Master Dejah Lotos. He was only a few years into his apprenticeship when the Clone Wars erupted, his inherit power with the force aided many missions that otherwise might have required significant resources from the Republic.

Kizar was only sixteen when Order 66 went out, if it wasn't for the thin presence of Republic Forces it is likely he, like many others, would have been killed. However, Dejah was capable of buying vital moments for her apprentice to get out of the ambush with the original idea being to get out word to other Jedi. Soon however it became horribly apparent the scale of what had happened. With nowhere else to go, Kizar returned to Iridonia. Kizar kept his head low on his homeworld, or at least his ability in the force even if his lightsaber was never far away. His life was quiet, until rather recently when he was contacted by a group who were organizing a resistance against Imperial tyranny. Although he had been content with his life as a mechanic on Iridonia, he knew his destiny lay elsewhere. Since then Kizar has been involved with the dissidents.

Character's Name Ali'ka

Character's Species Twi'lek

Character's Age 34

Biography

Ali'ka was found as a young teenager by Count Dooku before he became someone of Galactic interest. As the count himself was still learning the mysteries of the Force, on one of his missions, he was tasked to find several younglings across the Galaxy that had a very strong connection to the Force. Ali'ka was one of 5 such children. She was trained by Dooku first, and then briefly Palpatine thought the group some more advanced Force powers. They were kept hidden on an unnamed moon, in an ancient Sith temple built thousands of years prior, most likely by Marka Ragnos. She spent most of her time doing intense physical and mental exercises, to get a ripped body and a sharp mind.

When the Clone Wars started however, Palpatine decided that he would not be needing the group, and ordered Dooku to terminate the experiment. As the most promising student, Ali'ka was called by the Count and lied to, told that she had to kill the others and that she would then be able to take her place as Dooku's new apprentice. Ali'ka went back to group that very evening, and killed the others in cold blood.

However, Dooku did not realize the extent of Ali'ka's Force powers, and the Twi'lek was able to sense the deception. Instead, she hid herself deep in the Sith temple, where she meditated for several years, and stumbled upon some ancient Sith lore that helped her increase her powers even more. She planned to kill the Count, and take his place, hopeful that Dooku's master would accept her as his replacement.

When she emerged however, she was disappointed to find out that the war was over, and that both Sith and Jedi were almost extinct. She then decided to lay low, and explore this new Empire, to see how she should act, since the Emperor already has a strong apprentice already in Darth Vader, and things appear much more stable than before, making her opportunities of advancement less likely. Now, she's starting to get restless, wanting to do something to advance the cause of the Sith, and she mistrusts both the Empire and the Resistance.

Equipment Leather boots, leather pants, closed hooded robe (note that she has no top and is only covered by her robe), lightsaber

I guess my char doesn't exactly fit the Emperor Hand category but it's close, like a previous apprentice that was sort of abandoned. She's like purely a Force user, with capabilities comparable with Dooku or Vader, so very deadly in combat, but in contrast she has no contact in either the Empire or Resistance, no ship or home or equipment past what she has on herself, so she's going to need assistance to do much of anything.

You’ve only used 12/20 allowed points on your character. You could always use the remaining 8 to flesh your character out a little more.

Is a smuggler allowed to select Jedi abilities? I took it as you were allowed the basic force skills and any further you needed to be a Jedi. Or are we allowed hybrid classes?

Means little to me, i enjoy playing a normal person, though ive added some affinity to the force to justify a few things, that and im not a massive force fan.

Character's Name: Chigl Bemin

Character's Class: Jedi

Character's Species: Human

Character's Age: 39

Biography:
Born to two rogue Jedi who had left the order, Chigl Bemin was raised being trained in the ways of the force by two loving parents. They hid nothing from him, told him exactly why they left, why they didn't join the Sith and taught him the ways of the force. They did there best to show him both sides of the coin and once he was old enough he informed them that he was going to join the Jedi Order and take part in the Clone Wars. When he arrived he waited at the entrance in meditation for weeks, letting them stare and talk about the strange masked Jedi waiting out front until he was asked to see the Council. Chigl informed them he would be honored to join the Order but only if he could keep his face hidden from view. Despite the unorthodox demand they agreed to let him join and began testing his ability's and before long he was given his own platoon and sent to a backwater planet to take down the Droid Reinforcements.

Chigl Bemin stayed on the backwater planet simply because he was ordered to keep it within the hands of the Republic. It was a simple assignment, lure in any separatists looking for the secret base and take them down he trusted his troops with his life every day and they did the same, he employed an ancient trust ritual by dawning some clone armor and joining his troops at the campfire on a regular basis, this is what saved his life as he was on the radio when Order 66 was given. He played the perfect solder helping them search for the Jedi on the planet's surface until he managed to break away and steal a ship. He made his way back to his parents only to find that they had been murdered as well so he made his way to Nar Shaddaa in hopes of staying hidden until he could find a more suitable place and ended up ship jumping a lot.

I picked up Brotherhood today actually, seems good enough so far.

Player's Name Akiko

Image

Character's Name Nijima Akiko

Character's Species Human from Sakoda

Character's Age 29 Sakodan Years

Biography Nijima Akiko, first daughter of Emperor Nijima Kenichi, master of the feudal world known as Sakoda; and his favorite concubine, Inoue, is a young Sakodan human, standing but five feet(1.5 meters) with dark black hair and purple eyes. Her faintly tanned skin seems to glow in dim lighting, and is a stark contrast to the dark colors she normally wears.

Akiko was raised as a royal daughter, pampered and privileged.  Yet the girl was always trouble for her family and the house hold staff, getting into everything and climbing walls to escape the royal compound. Even on a peaceful agrarian world like Sakoda, there were still threats to the ruling elite.  It wasn't until Akiko was six years old that she began to manifest ability in the force, frightening her mother with an unexpected display of force kinetics, shattering a priceless stone vase across the compound's courtyard when the girl refused to come indoors as ordered.

Within the week, a Jedi Master arrived to check on the girl, at her parent's behest. Discovering her latent ability to channel the force, little Nijima Akiko was taken off of Sakoda and transported to Coruscant for training in the Jedi arts. Akiko was later assigned to Twi'lek Jedi Mistress Ardana as her Padawan.

As her training was nearing completion, Akiko was approached by several Jedi she had never encountered before. Taking her from the temple, the small Padawan was further trained in quite a brutal fashion, even more so than Jedi Mistress Ardana's unusual methods of training. Nijima Akiko was trained to hide, to track, and to fend for herself in the most hostile situations imaginable.

Now capable of hiding herself completely, even hide her ability to use the Force, Nijima Akiko was given her rank of Knight, as a Shadow, and assigned to another Shadow to locate the Sith purported to be behind the Separatist faction warring with the Republic.

There had been rumors of Sith activity on Tattooine, where Knight Akiko and her companion moved to. When Order 66 was passed down, Akiko was in hiding, set in ambush while her companion worked to flush out their quarry. Her companion, another human named Brasque, was slaughtered by Order 66, while little Nijima Akiko remained in hiding.

Having learned to alter her physical appearance, Akiko was able to hide her lightsaber(even if fully nude), and her identity. Keeping the weapon close at hand, Akiko decided that the best way to hide in the future was to be the last person one would expect to be a Jedi: a slave.

She entered into an agreement of indenture, which was later violated by her employer, and the exotic little human was sold into harsh slavery; a pleasure slave for a wealthy but cruel merchant along the Outer Rim, by name of Remus-Qui Sereta. Remus-Qui found little Akiko both alluring, and useful... as she had the knack at reading people for her Master. This is where she first met the smuggler captain of a small freighter, to whom she took a liking to. Someone she felt she could trust to not take advantage of her.

Now she just had to get her to help Akiko escape.

@ Akiko, Character Approved!

Alright, so below we have all the approved characters so far (as timing would have it every character that has been posted up has actually been approved already ;D) and what ever alignment they have at game start. I worked this up from what I got out of the bios that everyone wrote for their character. So if I've mis-categorized anyone please let me know.

I broke everyone into one of three categories, there are

Imperial: Those who are either working for, or actively supporting the Empire

Anti-Imperial: Those who are actively working against the Empire

Unaffiliated: Those who do not seem to be working for or against the Empire

Imperial Aligned Characters

From what I can see it's looking like its almost time for game start! ;D

SO with that in mind I'll explain a bit about how the game will start off, some of the important aspects of the game, and then I'll be working on the necessary threads. Once they are ready I'd say we can start things up! ;D.

The game will take place in a single thread, given that there will be ALOT of locations, I kindly ask(aka require) that players place character and their location at the top of their post. For example if I were to have a character and make a post it would be.
Quote
Character Name
Tatooine

And then my post...

There will be 3 threads for this game, the first will be the IC thread, the second  the OOC, and the third will be an "Info" thread. This thread will be a combination of the character thread and Major NPC thread. It will also serve as a general info thread and contain the information that your characters would receive from their different sources. I.E. Bounty Hunters Guild bounties, Galactic Rumors, ect.

Also, please for the sake of realism don't have your characters react to info that they wouldn't have access too ;D . Each info list will have who's characters have access to it directly under it's title. For the sake of simplicity there will be four places where characters be at game start those will be Tatooine, Alderaan, Nar Shaddaa, and Coruscant. That's it so far ;D *Runs of to go start up the threads*

Well Ali'ka would probably be more aligned to join the empire than the rebels so she wouldn't be that hard to corrupt really, and she'd be a powerful ally. Unless some clever rebels can convince her otherwise..

Zeal

Okay, here goes.

Player Name:  Zeal

Character Appearance

Character's Name: Erhad Ruur

Character's Species: Pureblood Sith

Character's Age: 24

Biography: Erhad represents an experiment long in the making.  With his power waxing in the Galactic Senate and many old plots suddenly coming to fruition, the man Erhad knows as Darth Sidious undertook yet another secret project, one that would not come to full fruition for years to come.  He desired to see whether a descendant of the original Sith, the red-skinned race that first mastered the Dark Side, given full access to the traditions and knowledge of his forebears, could replicate their success in mastering arcane uses of the Force Sidious himself had little time for.  Third parties were hired, an expedition mounted to ancient Korriban, and a youth found in one of the scattered, primitive villages of the last purebloods with sufficient natural facility with the Force for Palpatine's purposes.

That child, Erhad, was abducted from his home and spirited away to a private estate within the reaches of Hutt Space.  A healthy fortune was lavished on his education, procuring Sith artifacts, ancient Holocrons, tutors in history and personal combat and every other art Sidious deemed necessary for his side project--but by then Sidious had access to several fortunes.  The Clone Wars came and went, the Republic transformed into the Empire, and still Erhad trained in his distant retreat, learning ancient Sith techniques, growing ever more restless to be set loose into the galaxy.  Four years ago the Emperor deemed his education a success, ready at last to see how successful the old Sith lore could be in the service of his Empire.

Since then Erhad has proved himself an asset as one of the Emperor's Hands, traveling the stars as his orders dictate, supporting the Empire's armies with his battle prowess and dark arts, crushing its enemies wherever the make themselves known.  Though many of the Hands are subtle manipulators and assassins Erhad is more prone to acting as a blunt instrument, overwhelming his targets with ferocious physical power and the aid of awful minions augmented with Sith Alchemy.

Memories of his origin on Korriban are dim where they exist at all: raised from his earliest days to act as a Hand, Erhad's loyalty to the Emperor is unwavering despite how rarely they have actually met.  However, he has only been in the wider world for a very brief time.  The Sith's loyalty has yet to be meaningfully challenged, an alternative to unswerving service to the Emperor never yet presented to him.  It is impossible to say how effective that argument could be if it could be presented at all before Erhad could vanquish the speaker with his relic Sith Sword.

Equipment: Sith Infiltrator (4 points), Sith Sword (3 points)

Force Power 4 (4 points)

Force Skill 3 (4 points)

Force Abilities: Sith Alchemy (3 points), Art of Movement (1 point), Force Scream (1 point)

I am also interested in playing if we are not too bogged down yet, numbers wise!

I want to throw in with Helina and build a non force sensitive navy man (spec ops) who commands an Imperial Storm Commando Escort Carrier.  Subordinate of Helina, so no need for clearance, clear up some points for troops and such.

I will modify as I go, but I do have one question, Urbanzoro.  The compliment of TIEs...  Can their be some variety in there, ie, bombers, advanced, etc?

Urbanzorro

Well right now its set BEFORE "New Hope" so the actual Tie fighter is still relatively new, there are bombers but the Tie Advanced haven't even been developed yet.

Okay, so TIEs and TIE Bombers then?

I was actually looking at the military build too...  Is there a medium size Star Destroyer that could serve as a carrier other than the Escort Carrier?  Or would using a Imperial I Star Destroyer with fighter squadrons be enough to make up the difference?  I find I am still a bit heavy on points and want to make sure and use them wisely  <.<

Player's Name:  Aether

Character's Name:  Wil Tarkin

Character's Species: Human Clone

Character's Age:  22

Biography:

Will Tarkin was a signed order from Palpatine marking the creation of the above clone.  Will Tarkin is registered Empire Secure as a blood relative of Grand Moff Tarkin.

He is, however, known as Will Tarkin, great nephew The Great Grand Moff Tarkin following in the family tradition for military service.  Leading his first command of a platoon of Storm Commandos, Will rooted firmly into his education of military doctrine and brought it into his adolescent years with each successive promotion to a higher responsibility for the Empire.

<<~This game finds him in his first command for two successive years aboard The Hades.  A command awarded him not 4 yours prior when he was positioned XO. ~>>

His birth was with that of a community several thousand strong.  Although he differed from the genetic  focus of the Kaminoans current production, his was more a focus of advance naval and ground assault scenarios as directly experienced by Wilfur Tarkin himself.  His was a rapid development into one not looking anything like his sire, but besting his tactics plus ten on a Kaminoan diet of cloning appreciation of the nearly perfect human specimen of a naval officer.
At sixteen years of age, he was assigned his first platoon as First Lt of a Storm Commando’s  speccing Intelligence.  His twentieth birth year saw his command rise to XO of The Hades.  His twenty second awakened to his pinning on of Colonel and his first naval command, carrying much of a fraternity from his initial creation from Kamino.

Will has shown an immense aptitude for naval engagements, yet he is not bested in a traditional planetary assault.  There is none to his current match.  The Empire may have a strong hand here, due to the allocation of equipment, but great nephew Tarkin knows his way around a battle, and his experience to this point has lead to his current promotion.

Subtle, yet firm.  Calculating…  almost cold.  Vectors and angles.  Forget the human aspect.  He upholds logic and tactics, though he has an over all superstition process involving the force.  He feels it is subliminal subterfuge of the peoples will to better them selves. a life of fear.

His was an implanted memory of a life he never lived.  If interrogated, the Kaminoan conditioning would hold out the induced life they had precisely calculated to be a biological match for the specimen.  His was a happy childhood, quick in wit, advancing scholastically faster than any of his peers.  Respected, he graduated head of his class two years early at 16 with a scholarship to the university of his choosing.  Family strong, or so he thought, he joined ranks with the Empire as a butter bar Lt.

His was a quick and dismissive manner.  If it did not involve the tactical outcome, why introduce it into the social mix?  Keeping it at arms length was his manner.  He had perfected it in his world of shadows and mirrors.
His conciseness was not his own.  He retreated where they designated safe zone for him.  Was his a life of his own choosing or was it the breeding…
