Teen Titans: Titans Forever

Overview

Currently I am looking for a small to medium sized group interested in playing a continuing story set Five years after the events of Teen Titans (The Show). This is a continuation of that story and the events of the popular show are considered canon. That being said you don't have to have watched the show to take part because this Rp is five years later and deals with a new threat.

This a free form sandbox game set in the DC Universe. It involves a defunct team coming together to face a threat that one of the old members of the team is currently dealing with. Replies are handled on a weekly basis and I will act as GM and Mission coordinator. There will be both guided plots and player to player plots. There will be big events but also the chance for players to do their own thing or go on their own missions.

Right now it will be canon DC characters only. Players can have a total of three, the third one will become open for the player after a month of solid posting. The writers are encouraged to come up with recurring characters or new canon hero's joining the team.

Plot Premise

Five years after the event of Teen Titans the young teen hero's have gone their separate ways. No one left because of hard feelings or anything and even though they might not have talked in some time they remain friends. Some might even still be a couple.

A old enemy of theirs returns with a new band of followers. Trigon has made himself a bride on Earth who has founded the Cult Of Trigon. That Cult has their sights set on Raven once more. She calls the team back together hoping that the power of her friends will see this new threat by her dad defeated.

Rules

The Rules For This Were Graciously Inspired By Sun Wukong

1. Don't cause or participate in drama. Be respectful of other players.
2. Don't godmode. Exceptions made when both parties have agreeed on it.
3. Inform the GM if you will be unable to post for significant time.
4. Write in the third person past tense. A reasonable standard of English is required. (Spellcheck, grammar check, no one liners or overly short posts)
5. Accept your character will sometimes lose fights and/or get injured.
6. Please communicate with others, seek out scenes, be proactive and involved in the game.
7. All characters should be Eighteen and over

Your history after the titans can be whatever you want. I leave it up to you on what you think your character would do.

I'm not entirely against it but... I have no idea where he would fit into the story. You'd only interact during villain moments and at least for the first arc the big villian is going to be Trigon. It could be that Trigon infected Jaime Reyes and turned him bad but even then it means you only being in during certain scenes.

Technically yes and technically no

The Teen Titans Cartoon is kind of hard because they make a point of not giving them secret identities (like Robin seems a lot like Dick Grayson but there was no way of really knowing for sure until the time travel episode) there was a speedy with red hair on Teen Titans. We have a Roy Harper who is the original Speedy. While that Speedy was never outright said to be the speedy on the show I can only assume.

That being said there's still Aqualad, Cyborg, Mas Y Menos and a host of other alternate titans to choose from.

He can be a good leader in his own right and I did like the episodes that focused on him. So I would like to go for Cyborg then.

We already have a Roy Harper for Cheshire to have history with. I am looking for someone willing to come in possibly as a recurring guest or as a full on additional character. Having a past with Roy Harper (Arsenal) is needed however the character does not have to continue that as a romance if they do not want to. Well the idea is that it could incorporate both. IE I don't mind a Young Justice team having been a thing after the Teen Titans Disbanded as per the cartoon.

The Teen Titans were kind of a thing formed outside of the league (at least in the cartoon) they got together and stayed together. For those of us joining with Young Justice characters I don't mind the league having formed a Young Justice like team after the Teen Titans disbanded. However the premise of this is still that Raven is attacked by Trigon five years after the Teen Titans disbanded and calls her friends back together.

Sorry but the Rp's already started and going as the five years later continuation of the Teen Titans Cartoon. Trigon Raven the events of that show have already been referenced as well. I certainly don't mind there having been a Young Justice team after the Titans disbanded though.

I didn't particularly care for how Teen Titans Go! made a total joke out of Trigon.

== Physical Description ==  Being a martian shapeshifter means physical appearance is nothing to her.  The body is simply clothing for the mind, but that's not to say she doesn't have a preferred shape and body type.  Usually standing at about five feet five inches in height, M'gann has short red hair, amber eyes, and freckles on her face regardless if she's trying to pass herself off as human or not.  Her breasts are a moderate D sized, her body is slender in shape, but she's had enough combat training to have attained some muscle for her body.

== Persona ==  M'gann is a compassionate, caring individual when she's not on a mission.  She can be friendly, if a bit socially awkward at times since she hadn't been on Earth long when she snuck onboard her uncle's ship several years ago.  That said, her lapses in social norms are few and far between, and that's not mentioning her attitude when she's on a mission.  That's when her white martian traits tend to come to the front.  She's confident, cool, calm, and often in complete control of her emotions, almost to the point of appearing cold and ruthless to her enemies, willing to resort to extreme measures to accomplish the mission with little remorse later.  She cares about her teammates, but with the recent death of the entire League and her uncle, she has distanced herself slightly from those around her.  Only when she's emotionally shaken does her control of her powers suffer.

== Key Skills == Shapeshifting - Like all martians, white or green, M'gann can change her shape, skin color, body shape, and anything else she desires with a mere thought.  Cells are elongated or shrunk down, gills can be created to allow underwater breathing, extra arms can be created, basically the only thing she's limited by is her imagination and body mass which can only be stretched so far.  That said, her power of shapeshifting is substantial.

Telekinetic power - Like all martians, M'gann is able to lift, crush, and otherwise manipulate objects many times her size with ease.  And because she's far more powerful than her uncle, she can keep the telekinesis coming a lot longer than most of her kind.  Her time with the teams of heroes on Earth, her power has only grown more refined and precise.

Telepathic ability - All martians are able to talk without saying a word.  It's the preferred method of communication among their race, and so secrets are rarely kept from each other.  That said, M'gann has spent enough time on Earth to understand the need for true privacy, but she's powerful enough she can forcibly extract information from her enemies, leaving them in a vegetative state that might not end without outside help.  Some could argue that death would be preferable to being left in a coma, but that doesn't stop her from doing what she must to ensure a mission is completed and her friends return home safely.  This also doubles as a means to keep her friends psychically linked with each other, and also provides automatic translation regardless of the native language of those around her.

Martian camo -  Like her shapeshifting, M'gann can become almost completely invisible to the naked eye.  While she can't mask her heat signature, making heat vision and its electronic variants effective against her, she can slip about enemy territory with relative ease.  Notably perceptive people can also see through her camouflage, but by and large, most people can easily be fooled by this technique.

Density shifting - Able to walk through walls, or fly right through an opponent, M'gann has an unfair advantage with this skill alone that allows her to phase through virtually any solid mass.  Sticking her hand into someone's chest to crush their heart or to help restart one is just the tip of the iceberg of what she could do with this power.

== Advantages == Superhuman strength - While she's not anywhere near the Man of Steel's level of strength, M'gann is no pushover.  She's strong enough to dent and destroy metal with her bare hands unassisted in any way.

Superhuman stamina - Martians are naturally stronger than their human counterparts, and white martians are especially resilient due to their warrior like tendencies that thousands of years of oppression by the green martian majority hasn't completely changed that fact.

Flight - Psychically assisted as it might be, M'gann can fly with some level of speed that can easily keep her on par with her less speedy companions.

== Disadvantages ==  Physiological weakness to fire - Whether it's a natural response or a psychic imprint forced on every white martian by the majority green martian population thousands of years ago isn't clear, but the fact remains that M'gann can't stand intense heat.  Fire is a sure way to bring her down.

Does not like her true shape and form - While she's come to terms with her white martian ancestry for the most part, M'gann does not make it a habit of walking around as she was born.  Forcing her to reveal her true form will likely garner an extreme emotional response from her, ranging from deep seated shame to explosive, blinding rage.

Camouflaged doesn't mean invisible - Heat vision or electronic means of the same can pierce through the illusion, and notably perceptive individuals can also see the slight distortion in the air martian camo creates.

Emotions effect powers - If she's been emotionally shaken up or she loses her focus for any reason, her ability to fight also suffers.

Greatest strength is greatest weakness - Other, more experienced or powerful psychics can be a danger to M'gann if she's not prepared for them.  Psimon, a natural rival of hers, has gotten the drop on her many times in the past.  As he once said to her, an open mind is a dangerous thing, especially if it's linked to other people.  A psychic attack through a telepathic link can cause a ripple effect, hitting everyone equally regardless of distance from the source of the attack.

Astral Plane vulnerability - When battling another psychic, it's common for them to fight on the Astral Plane, where they can literally shape reality around them as the need arises.  Dragging up painful memories, creating illusions, psychic blasts, the works, but the physical body is left vulnerable during the fight.  A death in the physical world destroys the astral projection since the body can't survive without the mind and vice versa.  Simply disrupting such a fight can also have far reaching repercussions.

Ruthless - When provoked to rage or she deems a situation requires an extreme solution, M'gann has a tendency to take things too far and utterly destroys her enemy's mind, leaving them in a vegetative state.  Some would find such behavior too dark for their liking, but if it keeps her teammates alive, she feels little remorse for her actions more times than not.

Family - Her uncle Maritain Manhunter as well as members of the Team and Superboy could all be used against her. They are her greatest weakness given her love for them means she would do anything for them. Maybe even kill if she had no other option.

== Background == Born on Mars to a white martian father and a green martian mother, M'gann M'orzz had a very lonely childhood growing up since she was born a white martian.  As the minority among the population, and because of their war like pasts thousands of years ago, white martians are commonly oppressed by the green martian majority.  She had few friends outside her family, and her only solace was often found in the transmissions her uncle J'onn sent back to Mars from his new home on Earth.  It was he that inspired her to become a hero, to become a force for good, and to seek a way to take control of her life, away from Mars.  So one day, having decided she had had enough, M'gann left her world behind.

Several years ago, M'gann snuck aboard her uncle's ship and found her way among the young side kicks of the Justice League the Titans.  She found many friends and allies among them, and despite a few minor hiccups along the way, largely due to her social awkwardness in trying to adapt to a new planet and its societal norms, she quickly grew into a confident, capable young woman, at least by martian standards since human biologically speaking, she was in her early fifties.  That minor detail aside, and the fact her telepathy was seen as a major breach of privacy outside of a mission or among those that trusted her outside the hero alter ego she had crafted for herself, M'gann had found a new home on Earth. She joined the *Titans* along with several New members such as Aquqlad, Artemis and Superboy. She fell in love with Superboy and the two started to date, but when Megan invaded his mind and wiped his memories Connor ended their romance. Miss Martian stayed with the team and started to date Lagoon Boy, but she eventually ended their romance when it become obvious she was still very much in love with Superboy. She found a brother figure in Garfield Logan - It doesn't take long for a brother sister relationship to form between these two gifted shapeshifters, even if their powers are drastically different from each other. Megan based much of her Earth persona off a sitcom character and even got her catchphrase *Hello Megan* from the show.

Personality

He's always wanted to be a good hero but Kon started out with some anger issues; starting out as a 16 week science project and mind controlled puppet will do that to you. After a few years as a hero he's mellowed out and become more in touch with his emotions. Kon is still defiant and doesn't like to be told what to do or being dismissed. He's lost the extreme overconfidence and throwing himself into situations he can't handle on his own. With experience he's using his brain more and planning now since he's trying to live up to his namesake. It takes an effort to be social with most people except his friends in Young Justice and espeically M'gann, until he gets to know you.

Biography

After the Titans disbanded he joined Young Justice and became a major part of that team. Feeling he never had a real childhood he moved to Smallville and lived with Martha Kent after the passing of her husband. He went to Smallville High School and tried to come to terms with his shared legacy of being the child of both Superman and Lex Luthor. He briefly dated Wonder Girl and are now friends.

Personality

Billy has grown up a victim of the system, struggle, bad luck, whatever you want to call it. All he has left in this world is his little Sister, his best friend, and his Uncle. For a long time though, it was just him and Mary. With no other option than looking out for his sister, Billy quickly got his head planted solidly on his shoulders. Being orphans was hard, but he managed to stay a good person despite living on the street with Mary and having to do things to survive he'd never want to say out loud.

However, he understands the value of hard work, as he would do odd jobs when he could to bring in some extra money. He also kept the basic tenants of human kindness and decency that were so rarely shown to them; he remembers that much from their parents. However, he is no pushover. He had too much to lose to allow people to walk all over him, so even to this day he doesn't put up with bullshit from anyone. So despite being the typical jock, he differs in that he's not an asshole.

He's worked for everything he's ever gotten so he knows what it means to have things because you earned them. This means he doesn't tend to take things for granted. He's a pretty nice guy, although he can be a bit of a hot-head; especially if you know how to push his buttons. Shazam is basically the same as Billy, however, he is guided by Godly wisdom and confidence so it's not surprising that people tend to note the difference the first time they're around one, then the other.

Biography

Whether he knew it or not, Billy Batson had magic intertwined with his fate since birth. His parents were archaeologists with a focus and unheard of knowledge on ancient Egypt. They even conceived Billy and his little sister Mary on two different trips there. When he was six and Mary was about three, a man broke into their home, killed the Batsons' parents and fled into the night with a mystical scarab.

Billy and Mary were placed into Foster Care, and bounced around to abusive home after abusive home, with the siblings even giving up promising families as they didn't want both of them. Eventually, the two ran away after one foster parent tried to drunkenly beat Billy and he cracked him in the jaw with a plate. 

They ran all night, looking for somewhere they could at least rest for a while; and as if by magic, they found an old abandoned subway station. In that station was a solitary car, and in that car was like a home away from home. It had beds, a fully stocked fridge, everything two kids needed to survive on their own.

The two began to live there, and for a while things were good. Then one day, they got better. Them running away from the foster home got their names in the paper, and that had allowed their uncle Quentin to find where they'd been. He put a video on the internet, circulating it through every social media site and app until it went viral.

That was how Billy found him. The family was soon reunited, and Billy started a new chapter of his life. For a few years, life was normal. Billy had friends, went to school, talked to girls. He even started making music. He forgot all about the subway train car for years. Then one day, a few months ago on his twenty-first birthday, he was leaving the bar when he saw a blind old man was getting beaten up by some thugs.

Billy didn't even think, he just tackled the closest one and punched him out. Then he grabbed the guy and ran with him while the thugs were still in shock. He didn't know where he was going, but somehow ended up in that very station, in front of that very car. They hid inside, but this time, something different happened. The entire structure moved, flipping the car around with a massive false wall. And once they were on the other side, the car suddenly accelerated to incredible speed before a white light bathed them.

When Billy finally opened his eyes, he could see they were in some sort of chamber, with a throne made of stone in the center of the room, and six larger thrones spaced evenly around the room. "Come, William. It's time to meet your destiny," the blind man said as he stood and walked right past him out of the door. He went to stand near one of the thrones, and another flash illuminated the room. This time, Solomon himself stood there, backed by five other beings bathed in an ethereal glow. Hercules, son of Zeus and the God of Strength.

Atlas, the Titan fated to hold the sky on his shoulders for eternity. Zeus, the God of Gods. The legendary hero and Demi-God, Achilles. And Mercury, fastest of all the Gods. "Welcome, to the Rock of Eternity, William. We believe you are to be the next mystical Guardian of this reality. We believe you are the next Shazam." After completing the Trials of Shazam, Billy was given the mantle magical guardian. And his first assignment was to stop the return of Trigon. For that purpose, he joined the newly reformed Teen Titans to fight by Raven's side against her father and keep her safe.

It's also a pretty cool place to crash when Billy can't make it home for the night. He can come and go as he pleases while in his Shazam form, and bring people with him as long as they aren't evil or corrupt.

Skill Name: Fighting - Billy has been fighting(in this case physically) almost all his life. He fought other kids at the orphanage, he fought bigger kids and even full-grown men on the street to keep Mary safe and keep them fed. He even fought at the few foster homes that accepted them when someone tried to bully or take advantage of them. When his uncle found them, he got him to enroll him in martial arts classes, and he's been training in MMA and Krav Maga for several years now as an outlet, a necessity, and now a good thing due to his crime-fighting.

Athletic - Billy was a born athlete, despite both his parents being archeologists. He was always fast and strong, and uncle Q decided he needed something besides beating people up to help waste his energy, so he put him in sports. Football and Basketball were Billy's most favorite thing to do after training. And while he's not a master at free-running, he's skilled enough at weaving through urban environments that he can get around pretty easy even without his powers. The benefits of years of running from gang bangers, drug dealers, crazy bums and cops.

Charismatic - Almost a lifetime of living on the streets has given Billy a gift of likability, charisma and charm. He's a persuasive and easy to get along with individual, due to years of learning to read people and body language so as to make life just a bit easier to scrape by.
