Welcome to the Dungeon Arena League!
Welcome sellswords and spellslingers, gods and mortals, kings and peasants to the Dungeon Arena League! After ten years of exhibitions and promise, of construction and distribution, we are finally ready to launch the sporting and adventure spectacular you've all been waiting for!

TL;DR
This is a simple system game designed to play out a world of semi-professional high fantasy monster fighters battling for fame, gold, and glory. Players take on the role of "fantasy heroes" who battle in arenas or become arena judges playing out bouts as monsters or challenges.

Current Status: NOW (and maybe always?) RECRUITING BOTH GLADIATORS AND ARENAS!

Concept:
In a high fantasy, magic-rich "kitchen sink" style world, the Dungeon Arena League stands as a testament to both the bravery and strength of it's warriors and the depravity and lust of the rest of the world. Beautiful gladiators from all species, classes, and walks of life enter the Arena for fame and fortune, their images projected around the world for audiences desperate to watch them. The Arena is rigged up with all manners of spells and devices to ensure that every swing, every hit, every penetration is shown. But of course, that's just the beginning. Potential gladiators also spend their days in the coliseum, bumping shoulders with other entrants, practicing, training, drinking, and carousing to their hearts contents (of course also visible for paying customers the world over). Their victories in the arena bring them lavish gifts, magical items, wonderful delights, and progressively more comfortable lodgings.

Within each arena, most fights are small, one or two gladiators against an enormous monster or hordes of beasts. If they should win, they get points and progress- and a new challenge. The precise rules of each arena are up to the Arena Judge of that space, the owner and manager of that section of the league.  Arena Judges are expected to keep the gladiators from dying or facing permanent disfigurement, but otherwise are at liberty to create the rules and challenges they wish to impart. Ultimately, most matches end the same way: the gladiator(s) defeated, plastered in goo or cum, but with experience and gold to make up the difference.  Indeed, part of being in the league is negotiating and working with other gladiators to determine fighting orders, match ups, sponsorship, and deals.

PCs will be involved in downtime scenes where they will be able to freely RP, drink, carouse, and screw around with other gladiators as well as spend resources they gain by participating in the arenas. This is meant to be low difficulty, easy posing with low time commitment, put in whatever you'd like to get out of it. This space exists because every gladiator may not be involved in a bout at any time AND to get more chance to RP as your character and have fun behind the scenes moments. There also may be other games, events, and situations introduced by myself or other Arena Judges.

Player Recruitment
The simplest way to get involved in this game is to join as a gladiator. The aim for this game is to have characters who are interesting, well themed, and dramatic! They will be performing for a gathered audience, the degree to which they are "always on" versus "putting on a show" is absolutely up to the player.  The system side of this game is VERY light (detailed below) but encourages you to play around with how you'd like your character to work. I'll be monitoring abilities and am happy to talk with and work with people to give feelings of balance!

This game is also intended to be low drama. If you tend to get into OOC fights with people in games, this may not be the game for you. I'm looking to create a space for players who want to have fun sexy times, enjoy fantasy tropes, and bang a bunch of monsters.

If you are interested in being a player, please fill out the following sheet! It is designed to help create your character as well as give Arena Judges ideas of whether you'd be a good match for a fight.

System Explanation
When you are in a fight, you and your opponent will take turns rolling your Attack dice. Your opponent takes damage equal to the result of your Attack dice. Within a fight, you'll likely take damage every turn! Remember that the arena is designed to eventually win, the whittling down of your HP is intended.  You'll also be making progress within the Arena which will have HP checkpoints at which you gain greater prizes!

Depending upon the Arena and the monster you are fighting, there may be additional effects in combat.

When you take damage, you may apply your Armor to lower the effect of the attack. This comes off of the final result, regardless of what it is. At character creation, you won't have damage effecting armor with the exception of Stunts.

Stunts and Flaws
Each character is different and has special stunts and flaws to help them or hinder them in battle. These are created by the players (with consultation from the group or me if desired). They are written the same way with a trigger and a result.

Triggers may be mechanical (ex: when the opponent is at full HP, when your HP is below a certain amount, when you roll the highest possible number, when you defeat an opponent) or narrative (ex: when you are restrained, when your armor/clothing is removed from you, when you receive a specific sexual act, when you use ice magic). They describe a situation in which the result occurs.

Results may be mechanical (ex: you roll with a +1/-1, you roll one dice size higher/lower, you gain/lose X hp, you may reroll a die, you attack without being attacked, you gain/lose armor) or narrative (ex: the audience is swayed by you, your opponent falters, you are instantly slippery).

As you create a stunt, consider the trigger's frequency and the result's power. If a trigger is frequent, it probably shouldn't give a powerful result. I will be available to help sort things out with that.

At the end of a fight, if your Flaw came into effect, you gain +5xp on top of whatever else you earned.

If you have any questions I can answer, please let me know!

When you run an Arena battle, you are the GM. The battle will be assumed to be part of an in-game canon leading to experience, gold, and other good things (details on that forthcoming!) that will transfer over to other fights!

If there are disputes between an Arena Judge and a Player, I will be happy to field them!

Tentatively interested depending on the tone the game ends up having.

Nastara

That totally makes sense!  I'm going to see if I can workshop things a little bit to pull a tone and have more information available to potential players!

My thinking would be aiming for fun, high flying fantasy feels, kind of a sexy romp paired with the monstrous non-con.

Sounds like a good time, I'll throw a character in.

I'm thinking a wild woman/barbarian who goes super saiyan

I’d be interested, if I can opt out of the sex (especially the non-con). I can handle other people doing that, but participating in it (as winner or loser) squicks me. I’m ok with people attempting it, provided there’s an OOC understanding that it’s not going to happen.

I’m interested in the fights, especially if MC can be a dragon.

I'll turn this into a more detailed recruitment thread next week and we can get some awesome, sexy things going!

Also interested.  What kind of monsters are you thinking?  And do you plan on being the monsters yourself, or have players submit monsters to play as?  Will there be gladiator vs gladiator fights?

Nastara

Now my brain is buzzing to try to see how to make things even more interesting!  I've got some thoughts and am tinkering to turn this into a recruitment thread!

I *THINK* I have some thoughts and ideas that would make it possible to have players as gladiators, arena runners (like GMs), and still have cohesiveness...

This idea's definitely going to be coming at you, possibly next week instead of this week because of some RL ttrpg plans.

Whaddaya know, I was able to get it actually put together!  This recruitment thread is OFFICIALLY open!

My expectation is that recruitment will be able to be rolling and relatively open. The exact rules of Arena Judges I'm still working out (because I intended to kind of free-hand it as the GM until I saw there was interest in other arenas!), but that should also come soon!  If you'd like to be involved with that, also let me know!

Adventurer Info
Name: Frya Black
Race/Class: Human Barbarian/Pyromancer
HP: 50
Attack: d6
Armor: -0
Brief Description: A wild woman from the Western fire tribes. Wields a lantern that burns with the golden flame of life, which she uses to conjure fire magics and bolster her body with tremendous strength. Her body is fit and athletically trimmed, with lean muscles possessing deceptive strength. She also sports a curvaceous figure, which grows thicker and thicker as she absorbs more of the golden flame, it's life giving powers shaping her to be better fit to breed and create new life. Normally she is quiet and reserved, always seeming to be sizing up those around her with a furrowed brow. However as the fire starts to influence her she loses herself to her primal instincts, becoming more emotional and passionate, as well as a growing, aching urge to mate. Eventually she reaches a point where she is willing to have sex with anything that moves: man, woman, or monster, and often struggles to finish battles before hitting that breaking point. As such she will often appear to dominate a fight, only to falter and lose at the last minute.
[hl]
Stunts

  • Gold Blaze
Health falls to 25 and below. Attack raises to d10, +2 armor

  • Gold Inferno
Health falls to 5 and below. Attack raised to 2d8, +4 armor

Flaws

  • Extinguish: Immediately loses Gold Blaze/Inferno if made to orgasm or lantern is stolen
[hl]
Interested In: fights with monsters and other gladiators. Preference for women, futa, bestial monsters (centaurs, minotaurs, werewolves, etc.), and tentacle monsters. Will also pair with men.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: once every 3-5 days, up to a week.

Ons: Oral of all kinds (including rimming), Anal, group, gang-bang, rough, outdoor, light bondage (no pain emphasis), pet-play, food play (particularly using cum as/on food), cum play, large cocks, unsafe sex, non-con, curvy/well endowed characters, thighs, moderate corruption/degradation.
Offs: heavy bondage, excessively mean doms (unless part of a larger character-arc), orgasm denial, feet, blood, guro, scat

Love it! Frya is delightfully cool and looks super fun! <3

As we get a couple of characters made, we can work out a kind of 'power level' with stunts! That's a delightful, flavorful and super fun setup for them but they may be a bit strong (if we even care about balance... This may be a game that doesn't care about balance!)

Hoping to post more information for Arena Judges later today or in the next day or two!

Hmm... I need to ponder ideas for stunts and flaws.  I'm leaning towards using this character pic, however:

I'm thinking she's a proud fighter, likely a trained soldier before coming to the arena.  She doesn't have much for special powers or flashy magic, but intense training has given her extreme skill with weapons, particularly the glaive in her pic.  If anyone has any ideas for flaws or stunts, I could use inspiration.

Chulanowa

So tell me about your non-con?

Are we talking like fantasy-themed wrestling porn, where everyone involved is more or less consensual and it's more a matter of "I won, I get to top you however I want," or are we more like in the realm of Goblin Slayer or Generic Tentacle Hentai, where you get mutilated raped into the dirt by a menagerie of grotesques?

avarus

Here's my input! I've gone for a lady who is extremely good at melee combat against a single opponent but will get wrecked when fighting multiple opponents or against ranged fighters.

Adventurer Info
Name: Aletta de Fanfaronne
Pronouns:She/her
Sex: Female
Race/Class: Human, duelist.
HP: 50
Attack: d6
Armor: -0
Brief Description: What is a girl to do when you have already defeated everyone in your hometown and there is no one left to challenge you? You of course go to the arena to get your kicks. A flamboyant hedonist, the arena gives her everything she ever wanted, debauchery, carousing, and all the duels and battles she likes! Being watched as she does this only gives an extra element, Aletta craves the attention. It is not just the thrill of the fight itself that excites our intrepid duelist and makes her come back for more, she absolutely lives for the power dynamic. Whether it is her opponent falling at her feet, or it is herself, defeated, tied down and being taken as a just reward by her victor; Aletta lives for it. And the crowd loves it, also because Aletta is a delight to look at. She is unblemished by scars despite years of dueling, standing at an average height with pale blonde hair that is usually tied in a pony tail. Her gilded armour, worn over bright red clothes only protects her shoulders and torso as she relies on her fleet footedness in order to avoid damage. Thus, on her legs she only wears thigh high heeled boots under a short skirt for maximum speed. With her rapier, always worn at her hip, she is as deadly and quick as a viper.

Stunts

  • Riposte: When attacked in melee, but not receiving damage, Aletta can attack her attacker a second time that round.
  • Duelist: As long as only one opponent is in melee range: Armor +3
  • Call out: As long as no enemy is in melee range: Aletta forgoes an attack this round to make an opponent focus on her.

Flaws

  • Jack of one trade, master of one: When disarmed: her attacks do only 1 damage
  • Flanked: When more than 1 opponent is in melee range: armor -2
  • Sweet defeat: When disarmed and restrained: Takes double damage

Interested In: Fights against gladiators and monsters. Love something that restrains (such as a gladiator with bolas or nets and tentacle monsters or driders). Basically I'm a big sucker for bondage and rape.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Twice a week. Also I am on CET time as a heads up.
Ons: Bondage (light and heavy), the non-con, torture (feel free to hurt her, she loves it), rough sex, anal, oral
Offs: The toilet stuff, you know what I mean :P

Ooh, difficult. Maybe an AoE when surrounded? Or extra defense as long as the target is not too close? Or maybe a bonus against larger opponents because she has the pokey stick?

EDIT:: Sorry for the double post :-\

Definitely something I’d like answered too, as it may affect my character ideas.

Thanks, this gives me some ideas.  Partial idea: Her long reach lets her enter a defensive stance at the start of a fight or if she doesn’t attack in a turn.  If an enemy tries to approach her while she’s defending, she gets a free attack against them (and possibly bonus armor).  As a flaw, she can’t deal full damage if she’s held in place against an enemy too close to her.

Nastara

Oh my gosh, things are heating up~! Love it!

Avarus, Aletta looks delightful! Should be fun having a duelist in there! <3

Sethala, let me know if you'd like to chat through any specific mechanical ideas! I'm happy to help out!

@Chulanowa and Sethala, I think that could depend a little upon the arena or the character (if someone wants to make a super hard Goblin Slayer-esque arena, they ABSOLUTELY can and just theme fights in that way!), but overall for the game I think somewhere between extremes is probably where it falls. In my mind, battling monsters and getting glory is the goal, getting fucked by opponents is a side effect that varies in preference by the gladiator? Like I'm sure there are some who are DOWN and others who really try to avoid it!

Does that help or not really? I know in my play, I'd not be wanting to aim towards like... trauma-play!

Thanks!  I thought about a few other ideas.  I'm going to try and use a bit of game design mentality and throw out a few keywords for her stunts and flaws; basically a way for another character to interact with her abilities.

Stunts:
Expert Lancer: Her skill with lances, glaives, and spears is unparalleled.  The first time she rolls a 6 for damage with one of these weapons, she can make a follow-up attack with the other end for 1d4 damage.
Long Reach: While using a glaive or similar weapon, she has Reach 1.  Additionally, at the start of a fight or in any round where she doesn't attack, she can enter a defensive pose.  If an enemy with less Reach approaches to attack while she's in this pose, she can immediately make a free attack.
Extra Weapon: She carries a shortsword as an extra weapon, in case her glaive is unusable.  She doesn't get the benefits of Expert Lancer or Long Reach while using this weapon.

Flaws:
Unwieldy:  While using a glaive or similar weapon, she needs enough space to move, especially to gain some distance from an attacker.  If she is next to an enemy and unable to step away from them, she only rolls 1d4 for attacks with her glaive.
Inexperienced:  She is largely unfamiliar with pleasure.  She suffers a -2 penalty to armor and a -2 penalty to damage for one turn whenever she is groped, molested, or otherwise teased and played with.

So, the idea of Reach is that it's a way for people to play with weapons that can attack from farther away, without being too rules-heavy.  In general, it would only do something if a character's Stunt (or Flaw) cares about it.  (Although I could imagine a rule that gives someone a penalty to attacking an enemy that's farther away if they can't get closer for some reason.)

Quote@Chulanowa and Sethala, I think that could depend a little upon the arena or the character (if someone wants to make a super hard Goblin Slayer-esque arena, they ABSOLUTELY can and just theme fights in that way!), but overall for the game I think somewhere between extremes is probably where it falls. So when you say someone might run a different arena, you mean they'd be running any NPC monsters and the like as part of it?  That makes more sense, I think.  I assume your arena would largely be for gladiators to fight each other?

Personally, I don't like dwelling on the "trauma" aspect of it, but I'd love scenes where my character goes in to fight something, loses, and is forced into something lewd against her will.  Perhaps even going into a fight is something she's forced into somehow (gladiator slave, perhaps?), although I'm not sure how well that fits the rest of your idea.

Nastara

Yo, that's super cool! I like it a lot! Playing around with how characters and concepts fit together is something I'm pumped for!

Reach and the related concepts look badass!

Yes! My hope and intention now is that people who are interested in running monsters or "GMing" can do so by having another Arena in the shared game world/character roster! For me, I'm thinking I'll hop around with what people want and do monsters and gladiator fights and all manner of stuff!

Oh, fuck yeah, DEFINITELY we can play in spaces of non-con and being forced into things! Gladiator slaves would be totally appropriate!

Adventurer Info
Name: Kayla
Pronouns: She/her
Sex: Female
Race/Class: Human Fighter
HP: 50
Attack: d6
Armor: -0
Brief Description:
Hailing from a small village, Kayla had always felt driven by some force. Destiny? A curse? The attentions of some divinity or another? In any case, with the help of her mentor, and between her more normal farm duties, she trained and quickly gained in strength. That was, until she found them. A weapon and a beautiful set of armour, laying on her doorstep. upon seeing them, she felt compelled, by a compulsion greater than the one that drove her training, to try them on. But they were cursed! Now, Kayla cannot bear to put on any other clothes or to stray far from them. Not only that, but the armour is alive as well. Thankfully, it's usually placid, but when she gets aroused, so does it. She can then feel it moving under the plates and the way it feels...

So far, Kayla had managed to keep her lusts and her armour under control, but she knew that it was only a matter of time before she stumbled. And she feared what the armour would do if it managed to bring her arousal to its peak.

Stunts

  • Legendary Armour: When Kayla would take exactly one damage, she takes no damage instead.
  • Defensive Stance: While Kayla remains focused on her opponent, she gains 1 armour.

Flaws

  • Tentacle Armour: While Kayla gets aroused, her armour molests her.

Interested In: Fights against gladiators and monsters. Males, females, herm, tentacles, etc. Getting Kayla aroused and squirming in her armour.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Once per day, sometimes twice on weekends as appropriate
Ons: Corruption, transformation, tentacles
Offs: Cruelty, violent rape, toilet stuff

BlueOrange

It occurs to me also that there's room for 'monstrous adventurers' - if someone wants to play a particular orc (as opposed to a series of orcs), I assume that the way to do that would be to create an adventurer and just set their description to something suitably monstrous.  However, since I do feel inclined to self-insert someone stupidly overpowered, I submit the following arena proposal:

Arena Info
Arena Name:   The lair of the tentacles
Judge Name: Egnaro the mighty, interdimensional dragon.  Egnaro is well-nigh omnipotent, but loves to watch people struggle.  He is constructing a series of arenas in the hope that a worthy opponent will appear, someone who he can face in battle and feel challenged by them (no small feat, given that he is immortal and indestructible).
Brief Description: This deep underground cave system features a multitude of spaces.  Most (but not all) of these are inhabited by a creature with tentacles.  Giant squid and octopi are routinely encountered, while certain chambers are only accessible via crawlspaces that are lined with lustful anemones.  Mind flayers guard the deepest and most valuable treasures, but are occasionally found on higher levels.
Challenges: Typically, adventurers are tasked with retrieving a valuable item, and will need to fight their way past many tentacles (and other distractions) to get to it.  Adventurers may enter as a team, but victory is only awarded to an individual.

Environmental Hazards

  • Carpet of tentacles: When active, the floor is completely covered in a writhing mass of tentacles, mostly up to 30cm (1 foot) long. Body parts that remain stationary within reach of these tentacles are at risk of being snared: this may cause a movement penalty, disarm an adventurer, or both. If angered, the carpet of tentacles does 1d6 damage to all adventurers within reach of the floor.  Damage to the tentacles in a particular area may reduce this damage (perhaps altogether).
  • Tentacle swarm: All creatures in the arena are attacked by 4 tentacles each.  Each tentacle emerges at range 0 (melee), and attempts to close to range -2 (inside clothes).  Each tentacle has 3hp, and does 1d4 damage

Interested In:   Creative problem solvers.  Squirmers.  Characters who are acutely aware of being touched, and who like it.
Looking For: Sex, gender, preference and race irrelevant.  Feel free to enter as a 'team'.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Daily
Ons:Characters who are enjoying themselves, scared, fighting with determination, fighting with cleverness, cartoonish violence, torn costumes and armor, bondage
Offs:Blood, gags & gagging, rape, anything more extreme than that

Sethala

Oo, the lair of tentacles looks like fun.  Hopefully I'll get a chance to send Miyuki in there!  And speaking of...

Adventurer Info
Name: Miyuki
Pronouns: Her/She
Sex: Female
Race/Class: Catgirl Lancer
HP: 50
Attack: d6
Armor: -0
Brief Description: Miyuki is a proud former soldier.  Unfortunately, her squad was ambushed, and she was captured.  She was quickly sold to a prominent gladiator slave trainer, and now fights under their orders.

Despite her current slave status, Miyuki is prideful.  She may not have wanted to come to the arena, but she's going to fight to her full potential regardless of why she's doing it.  Unfortunately, she's relatively naive when it comes to anything sexual, and the lewd nature of some arenas have put her completely off guard.
[hl]
Stunts

  • Expert Lancer: Miyuki's skill with lances, glaives, and spears is unparalleled.  The first time she rolls a 6 for damage with one of these weapons, she can make a follow-up attack with the other end for 1d4 damage.
  • Long Reach: While using a glaive or similar weapon, Miyuki has Reach 1.  Additionally, at the start of a fight or in any round where she doesn't attack, she can enter a defensive pose.  If an enemy with less Reach approaches to attack while she's in this pose, she can immediately make a free attack.

Flaws

  • Inexperienced: Miyuki is largely unfamiliar with pleasure.  She suffers a -2 penalty to armor and a -2 penalty to damage for one turn whenever she is groped, molested, or otherwise teased and played with.
[hl]
Interested In: Non-con, tentacles, bondage, armor/clothing damage, aphrodisiacs, general lewd things.  Large preference to female sexual partners.  While I like being a dom as well, I'd prefer to not do so with this character.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Admittedly, I'm coming back from a hiatus, so I'm not sure.  Should be able to post a few times a week.
Ons:Slavery, corruption, tentacles, bondage, non-con, general lewdness
Offs:Futa, gore, bathroom stuff.

Sethala

Also, if we're having more "classic" dungeon crawls, I would like to suggest finding "cursed" items.  Generally, these would be magic items that have some usefulness to them, but also some kind of curse, potentially something the user is unaware of until it happens.

Not to shamelessly self-promote, but I recently started a thread over in the tabletop gaming section to come up with ideas for lewd curses (and generally lewd magic items), and it could use other people chiming in with ideas: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=312697.0

RosalindRae

Gah, this is a great idea! I have some thoughts on a magic user or artificer gladiator if you think there are more openings there. More than happy to help contribute an idea for an arena too.

Nastara

Adventurer Info

Name: Octavia Lavinia
Pronouns: She/her
Sex: Female
Race/Class: High elf artificer
HP: 50
Attack: d6
Armor: -0
Brief Description:

Octavia's elven family, once high-ranking in their community, has come upon hard times, losing most of their wealth to conniving enemies and court intrigue. While her parents and siblings try to regain their position in their own society by matching wits with those who have attacked them, Octavia has chosen another route, leveraging superior elven technology to subjugate the lesser races by holding up human supply lines with a small band of followers and a larger arsenal of weapons, employing arcane technology and her own personal improvements. In her estimation, she is only collecting her due.

The law has caught up with Octavia, however, and she was captured during a recent excursion and stripped of most of her belongings, including her most prized artifacts. Octavia has joined the arena in a last-ditch effort to regain her fortune and afford the means to reclaim her treasures.

Stunts

  • Critical shot: When Octavia rolls for max damage, she may roll an additional d3 in critical damage. This is only usable against enemies with discernible weak points, and is only usable 3 times per encounter. May not be used at melee range.
  • Alchemical grenades: Octavia may use 3 incendiary grenades per encounter. Once used, alchemical fire spreads between Octavia and her enemy and they must take 1d3 damage in order to close the distance and make an melee attack in their next turn. Ranged attacks bypass this damage, but Octavia gets +1 armor for the distraction on the opponent's next attack regardless. This equipment is used in addition to her regular attack.
  • Special load: Once per encounter, Octavia may make a 2d6 attack instead of a 1d6 attack by using special ammunition. Rolling minimum damage for this attack, in addition to the penalties below, means Octavia's pistols are destroyed and she must resort to smaller derringers. These weapons do 1d4 damage instead of 1d6 and do not gain the benefits of critical shots. May not be used at melee range.

Flaws

  • Mercy of the crowd: Octavia loves playing to the crowd, but is disheartened if they turn against her and cheer for her defeat. -2 on all attacks until she regains the crowd.
  • Equipment jam: Any time Octavia rolls minimum damage with her pistols, she has a 50% chance of forgoing her next attack roll, her opponent getting a free hit while she tries to fix her weapons.
  • Wounded pride: When Octavia inflicts 0 damage (her attack does not surpass enemy armor) for two attack rolls in a row, she becomes disheartened and panicked. The enemy gains +1 to their armor to reflect their advantage.

Interested In: Male monster encounters, feral monsters, rivalries, environmental (traps, etc) challenges, would like to try tentacles
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: 2x per week
Ons: Non-con, oral focus, anal, public humiliation/losing the crowd, stripped clothing/armor, excessive semen, gangbangs, forced orgasms, tentacles
Offs: Pregnancy (threat of pregnancy is fine), scat, disfigurement, bimbofication, romance

Are you also tired of intrepid adventurers coming into your evil lair and taking your stuff? Keep your stuff safe with Duregar Security Solutions! We will consult with you personally, recreate your dungeon in our Arena Showroom and unleash combatants in it to show you the effectiveness of Duregar Security Solutions in your very own personalized security scheme. True to our slogan "Fuck the intruders" we will make sure that they will get good and properly fucked! We supply monsters, automatons and traps that will all fuck the intruders. Famous inventions of our include: The magic snare trap, which unclothes the intruders; the stockbot, our famous automaton that traps intruders in stocks, So they can get fucked!; And of course, the guards necessary to make sure any intruders will be properly fucked.
Challenges: Arenas hosted by Duregar Security Solutions showcase their latest products to a large crowd of their potential customers, using the challengers as dummies. Usually there are two kinds of arenas, either a new type of guard monster or automaton is tested against which the gladiators fight, or it consists out of a small dungeon (with a glass roof so the audience can see in) filled with traps that try to bind and unclothe the gladiators, with plenty of monsters or automatons to fuck them. Because as is Duregar Security Solutions motto: "Fuck the intruders".

Interested In: Traps, automatons and monsters that will put you in bondage, unclothe you and have their way with the hapless gladiator. For example an automaton that grabs the wrists of defeated gladiators and then freezes to lock them helplessly in place, or a trap that rips off clothing. And of course big muscular guards to then fuck the gladiators, as is the company motto!

Amounts of bondage will be tailored to player preferences, but expect at least light bondage. Duregar Security Systems after all do not kill, that would be against the law!
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Twice a week
Ons: Bondage (light and heavy), non-con, monsters, automatons, the whole shebang.
Offs: Very little here, but nothing that belongs in the toilet.

Hello there!
Wanted to throw in my two cents for a player/arena entry. Not quite sure which is most appropriate, but there’s no strong preference either way.

I've done my best to make a relatively coherent character for the occasion. I must admit however, my experience with die in roleplays is fairly limited, and I fear that it might reflect on the Stunts and Flaws I made. If they're entirely inappropriate, please let me know and I'll try to adjust accordingly. Had a fun time conjuring them up, but I've no idea whether they are balanced at all, but perhaps you guys can help me with that?

Anyway, here goes nothing! Hope you like her.

Adventurer Info
Name: Cecile Feathermour
Pronouns: Her/She
Sex: Female
Race/Class: Arachne
HP: 25
Attack: d8
Armor: -2 Body/+3 Spider Legs
Brief Description:
Once an enigmatic scholar descended from a long line of powerful nobles led down the path of forbidden knowledge, Cecile met her demise and subsequent rebirth at the figurative hands of an unspeakable, dimensional horror. Bestowed with the gift of ageless existence, she has been drawing in unsuspecting prey for millennia – feeding upon the naïve and faithless to maintain her eternal youth – at least for a time…

Cunning and methodical, Cecile quietly watched entire civilizations rise, stagnate and decay, spending centuries combing the vast lands of secrets, even scrying the movements of the stars in the heavens above her. With cruel and calculating sentience, she devours and defiles everything that stands in her way, however, unlike her kin, who possess no rational, seeking only to scrutinize and destroy, Cecile studies the physical realm and the strange, warlike beings that dwell there, for any weakness she might exploit.

Now a fiend with a thirst for mortal blood, Cecile is a primordial force that thrives on grand displays of sadistic sport. Beckoned forth by the spreading corruption, she affected many unseen affairs from the empire’s earliest days and has since woven her influence deep into its wretched foundations.

Eventually growing weary of the easy nourishment this pathetic race provided her, she now scours the land in search of strong wills and resolute minds that she may twist into mortal terror, and everlasting darkness – from bustling cities to desolate plains, from the mightiest kings to the lowliest of peasants; strength arrives in many different forms and shapes, and Cecile is a peerless practitioner in sniffing out the distinct characteristics of each…

Roused from idleness by her own morbid curiosity, she eventually opted to join in on an unconventional gathering of capable warriors she had heard rumors of – all fighting tooth and nail under the ridiculous notion of fame and childish fantasies of riches and redemption… sickening, really. And she was all the more thrilled to partake in the festivities for it.

Fading like the rustling of wings, mercy upon the unfortunate victims of shapeless voices cackling in the darkness of the serpent-like suggestions that wind through the forests… something like a sultry chuckle…

Borne aloft by two rigid, keratin-clad jointed limbs - long, dark and tapering to razored talons, Cecile is no longer human – though maintain many similar traits. Her features are angular and sharp and framed by lustrous dark hair. Eyes glinting with predatory thrill, she is a hawk – clawing with sparrow’s song.

Full figured and attractively proportioned, Cecile maintains an impossible aroma of lilac and gooseberries and though its intoxicating radiance is pleasant on the senses, it only draws prey deeper into her web with the promise of raptures yet to come. Smooth and slightly glossy, the perfectly unblemished complexion of her pliable curvature contrasts the cold-hearted nature of her personality - her pale skin standing out like the first snow of winter upon the darkening veil of night.

Born anew eons ago when a great rift split the bedrock of her very soul, Cecile found erratic comfort in the dulcet tones of her now silken voice and jaw-dropping physique, immediately embracing her remolded frame and many new assets – pronged brooches (four legs total), prehensile tentacles (eight tentacles total – spawned from malleable pits on upper back) and additional limbs (four arms total) included. Adorning herself with a scant cloak of gossamer and an illusive veil, she heeds no authority and disregards social criticism altogether – there is no time or place for modesty in the ravenous claws of this voluptuous vixen.

Stunts

  • Neurotoxin/Venomous Bite (passives): Attacks apply an Aphrodisiac DOT (Damage Over Time) to the target, increasing sexual desire. (Half as effective against armored targets)

  • Agony's Embrace (passive): If both Neurotoxin and Venomous Bite is applied simultaneously, combine DOT value +1 and interrupt opponents next turn.

  • Arachnid Grace (passive): Maneuverability is greatly increased on spider-like limbs.

  • Piercing Whiplash: Lashers strikes, dealing damage based upon how high the target's Armor is. Applies Neurotoxin upon contact, +2 damage per turn.

  • Twin Fang: Poisoned targets suffer double damage and heal the caster proportional to damage dealt. Applies Venomous Bite, +2 damage per turn.

  • Silken Song: Outside melee range: Slows and roots the target for a short duration. | In melee range: Ensnares and stuns the target for a short duration.

  • Constriction (usable only on targets suffering the effects of hard CC): Once bound, tentacles will aim to stretch every orifice of the prey in order to accommodate the intense penetration - milking the target for orgasms, while simultaneously making way for their own boisterous loads.

The mucus emitted by these tentacles is a highly reactive mutagen that contains large doses of pheromones, which act as an enhanced aphrodisiac – causing extreme stimuli and natural lubrication in the vaginal tract, allowing efficient penetration while keeping the victim in a constant cycle of arousal; even eliciting numerous climaxes from the captive given a steady supply of the substance.
Notable effects include a distinct, though temporary swelling of mammary glands and a hazy state of mind.

Flaws

  • Grounded: Enters a short daze upon entering grounded state. Takes double damage in this state.
  • Off Balance: Maneuverability is greatly decreased when grounded.
  • Frail: Suffers +2 increased damage to body
  • Rapturous: Greed often gets the better of Cecile. Suffers decreased awareness when enjoying herself

Interested In: Particularly enamored with fights against semi-humanoid creatures. Preference towards exotic/unusual anatomy. Preferably looking to dominate some woefully unprepared wenches, but I'm all for a good turn-around just as you think you have the upper hand. Surprise me.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Mostly daily. Regularly.
Ons: Bondage, sadomasochism - fairly light pain play/torture, corruption/humiliation, large endowments, non-con/dub-con,
Offs: The usual suspects, excessive sexual gore

I think Cecile’s sheet looks a little overkill for a 1v1 fight, but she seems perfect for a one vs many boss-style fight.  (Also, possibly worth noting that pretty much every attack is a “successful” attack with this system, so something like her first ability might need a tweak).  Either way I love the idea.

And I think Miyuki would love to try out that security system!  (Well.. she may not enjoy it so much, but I would >:) )

BlueOrange

The Lair of Tentacles would be honored to feature Cecile as a boss monster. We do fear that her self-heal might be a little too useful to her in the context of the performance of human adventurers and our usual challenges, but we would be happy to tailor something for you.

And if you did want to compete alongside the heroes, then our alchemists would be delighted to experiment on you help you into an appropriately weakened state.

I’m starting to feel that this is a conversation to be had IC.

Can I treat the Lair of Tentacles as an approved location (and therefore thread)?

BlueOrange

I'd like to offer a broader ‘consent based’ offering, but I get very self-conscious when I try to do boys. Therefore...

Arena Info
Arena Name: The S-Spot (Sapphire’s Scene of the Sexy Succubi Sisterhood)
Judge Name: Sapphire the Succubus
Brief Description: Sapphire is ultimately a simple transdimensional god. She likes watching people fight, and she likes fucking, and she likes watching people fucking. After the collapse of her home dimension, she was delighted to discover that there are beings who share her preferences. But this whole business of fucking people you don’t like? What the hell kind of stupid is that?

Sensing a gap in the market (and always happy to annoy her draconic brother), she provides a matchmaking service. On the one side, a sisterhood of women who get off on building up adrenaline, and releasing it through sex. On the other, a never ending horde of creatures who want exactly the same thing.

Challenges: The classic event pits a challenger against a carefully screened gauntlet of female adversaries, each of whom has consented to engage with this particular challenger. The challenger is asked to review the gauntlet during the selection process, and exclude anyone unsuitable. Then the order is randomized. The member of the sisterhood who defeats the challenger gets to keep them in a comfortable secure cell overnight: all the comfort and privacy one could desire. But whatever happens in public stays in public.

Duels are also welcome, both in the traditional paved arena (sand? HELL NO) and in the themed configurations such as the pillow fight arena. (One of the nice things about omnipotence is the ability to reconfigure quickly and easily.)

Environmental Hazards

  • Desperate fans: Platinum class ticket holders are able to get seats (or alternative viewing positions) that are not separated from the action, and have been known to lose control of themselves, attacking a participant, seemingly at random. A desperate fan is typically a 5hp creature that does 1d4 damage. The S Spot refuses to comment on rumors that these events are faked, stating only “Contestants and platinum ticket holders are fully aware of the relevant terms and conditions.”
  • Random wetness:Sapphire enjoys the ‘wet look’ and has been known to summon rain, jelly (jello), whipped cream, and other whimsical substances. These typically create a tripping hazard. May also impair weapon grip and ranged attacks.

Interested In:   consenting partners, embarrassment (not as far as humiliation), fun, flirtatious fights, amazement
Looking For: Your Sex, gender, preference and race irrelevant.  Feel free to enter as a 'team'. The house will bring women who are DTF and DTF.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Daily
Ons:Characters who are enjoying themselves, fighting with determination, fighting with cleverness, cartoonish violence, torn costumes and armor, bondage, dubcon
Offs:Noncon, blood, gags & gagging, rape, anything more extreme than that

SmashingPots

      I hear you all!

I do agree that Cecile could be a pretty cool themed boss, and she too would be honored to dwell within the The Lair of Tentacles. On that note, I fixed up a few things, namely the description of her first ability and the tweaking of Twin Fang. Hopefully something along the lines of this fit better, but let me know what you're thinking. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm fairly inexperienced in this sort of rule-based RP.

      • Twin Fang: Poisoned targets suffer double damage and Carpet of Tentacles enter Erratic state for two turns. Applies Venomous Bite.

I'm thinking that Erratic refers to the angered state mentioned here.
Quote from: BlueOrange on November 07, 2019, 12:25:24 AM
  • Carpet of tentacles: When active, the floor is completely covered in a writhing mass of tentacles, mostly up to 30cm (1 foot) long. Body parts that remain stationary within reach of these tentacles are at risk of being snared: this may cause a movement penalty, disarm an adventurer, or both. If angered, the carpet of tentacles does 1d6 damage to all adventurers within reach of the floor.  Damage to the tentacles in a particular area may reduce this damage (perhaps altogether).

BlueOrange

I’m very happy for that interaction to be made canon. (And within the Lair of Tentacles, I’m the relevant authority! Cool!)

And yes, Cecile at the center of a carpet of tentacles would be terrifyingly strong. I reckon it would need to be three on one to be fair. Of course, the reason I submitted an arena application is so that I could be excused from fighting fair!

And fuck it, I’m off to start an IC thread. Will link shortly, and edit the template to meet the standard once we have a standard.

SmashingPots

You're a darling!

I've been eye-raping this idea ever since it caught my eye the other day, and I'm looking forward to getting things started. Currently working on a Player that should prove more modest in terms of power, so that I may join in on the festivities as well outside what I image to be a one and done deal.

BlueOrange

IC: The Lair of Tentacles is ready for you now.

I think we’ll need to experiment with some fights before we know what’s balanced. If nobody volunteers to fight you as you are (I reckon there’s likely to be someone), then I can always get Egnaro to will himself into a body that I think might be balanced. (I’d happily wear someone else’s character, but not without their consent.)

She had been living out there alone and she has yet to tell anyone why, or how - Seemingly content with her current lot. Often she just responds to anything aimed in her direction with a grunt. She spends most of her free time outside the arena crocheting.

Stunts

I'm not great with backstories, honestly I don't really get a feel for my character until I've posted as them for a bit.

SmashingPots

I for one think it's a very solid foundation to build on. Love the ascetic and the focus on brute strength with a reasonable drawback. That 3d8 is horrifying.
I don't personally believe that a character needs an extended backstory to be amazing. It's less about what has been, and more about what's to come. Actions are stronger than words after all, so in that way, the character can only grow.~ I commend you for your efforts, and I don't think you should sweat the lack of 'fake lore.' ;3

    Sex: Female
    Race/Class: Sprit Walker
    HP: 50
    Attack: d4, d6, d10
    Armor: 0, +3
    Brief Description:
In the harsh lands of the -enter fancy fantasy world name here-, there are those gifted with a deep connection to spiritual magic. These warrior-shamans, known as “spirit walkers”, serve among the many different tribes, offering their abilities in exchange for a community where they may live free and hone these unique traits. Born under the manic vibrations of a blood-red moon brought on by the gathering forces of blasphemous abnormalities roused from their restless slumber, Ember displayed an early awareness for the intangible. She could feel the raw emotions of the surrounding acres, resonating in sympathy with the mournful howls of an anguished world.

Hotheaded, impulsive and fearsome, Ember lives up to her name, embodying a smoldering inferno which unfettered flames spill in times of emotional peril and ferocious combat. Stalking the cobbled streets of the realm, her fierce and fiery physique is a distinctive sight.

Unforgiving by nature, few remain composed and stranding after earning her ire. Audacious and daring, yet brash and quick to anger, her short fuse is accompanied by the flaws of pride and arrogance, and when enraged, she may become reckless beyond reason. She possesses an indomitable faith in humanity, often inspiring those around her with fearsome courage and selfless determination – because one should not mourn the passing of a life well lived, yet celebrate their triumphs and forge onward in their stead.

Whenever a battle rears its head, odds are, Ember is in the thick of it, and when push comes to shove, she will be at the forefront of it all, charging headlong into combat with her wickedly abrasive sense of humor and explosive temper.

These days she indulged in the shameless grapples between competitors of the Arena Leagues using her experience with acrobatic performances and innate fire-bending capabilities to demonstrate and hone her skills as a nimble and formidable brawler.

    Stunts

Smoldering Inferno (aura): Flaming aura damages targets within melee range. May cause disarms and weakened armor due to heated metals. Fluctuations in temperature cause physical changes that alter severity of aura.
    • Standard: Ember's body is in a constant state of blistering heat - though some control of temperatures are present. Basic Smoldering Inferno (aura) +2 damage every two turns within melee range. Attack is d6. No time limitations.
Fiery: Ember's ferocious core erupts in a shower of flames and molten magma. Enhanced Smoldering Inferno (aura) +2 damage every one turn within melee range. Attack is raised to d8. Two turn time limitation.
Encased: Ember's temperatures plummet in the aftermath of her 'eruption,' crusting her in a dense layer of hardened lava. Smoldering Inferno (aura) disabled. Gain +3 armor for two turns while recharging, spend one turn stunned. Attack is lowered to d4. Return to Standard state upon recharging.

Blistering Lash: Magma-infused hair seconds as long ranged whips. Pulls and damages targets ensnared. May cause disarms and weakened armor due to heated metals.
Searing Smite: Causes seismic disturbances and volcanic eruptions. Stuns targets within sphere of influence, and leaves a burning area of effect in the affected area. May cause disarms and weakened armor due to heated metals.

    Flaws

Disgruntled: Easily provoked, Ember may charge into a disadvantageous situation without second thought. Take additional +2 damage if provoked.
Overexertion: Heavy and extended usage of Fiery causes +6 self-harm for every turn extended past two turns.
Winded: End Fiery if the opponent rolls a 5 or higher. Foregoes Encased state, but receives stun regardless.

Interested In: Capable opponents that are determined and thirsty for victory, tentacles, out of the box thinking, domination, physical exhaustion,
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Mostly daily. Regularly.
Ons: Bondage, sadomasochism - fairly light pain play/torture, corruption/humiliation, large endowments, non-con/dub-con, orgasm-milking, forceful/rough usage

    Kimera

    Hello everyone.

This looks like a very fun game with a ton of interesting concepts already out there. I have a couple rough concept ideas of either some beholder type char/lair with lots of flashy eye laser based abilities or some weird sea anemone / jellyfish girl who I picture as a sort of slow acting character with slowly debilitating the enemy.

sea anemone / polyp / jellyfish girl

    BlueOrange

Ooh, that’s a sexy anemone. Makes me think of this:

Accumulating poison This attack inflicts a dose of accumulating poison that does 1hp/round of damage. Additional doses increase the damage taken by 1hp/turn. Targets with a normal susceptibility to poison take maximum damage at 3 doses.

If you combine it with a (separate) attack that does 1d3 damage, it has the same average damage output as a 1d8 attack (once 3 doses have been administered).

    Stendarr

The power level between characters seems to differ a bit. It probably doesn't matter too much in the long run, but I want to hear from you, Nastara, about which characters so far you feel are well balanced.

I was thinking of making a character that is a wizard/witch with a holier-than-thou attitude. She would switch between elemental focuses at will to give her different bonuses.

I've got this urge to have awful things happen to her. The pretty, prim, perfect girl being shown who's really the boss.

    Work in Progress Character Sheet

    Name: Charlotte d'Anjou
    Pronouns: She/Her
    Sex: Female
    Race/Class: Human
    HP: 50
    Attack: d6
    Armor: -0
Brief Description: At least some physical, some personality

    Stunts

    • Elemental Focus: Before attacking each round, Charlotte can choose an elemental focus to enhance her powers.
      • Ice: Charlotte's attacks slow her enemies somewhat, allowing her to attack first. The consequences of her attacks are resolved before her opponent gets to attack.
      • Lightning: Charlotte's attacks chain from foe to foe. She can attack up to three enemies simultaneously.
      • Earth: Charlotte's attacks also serve as shields. She gains 1 armor.
      • Fire: Charlotte's attacks sear her foes. Her attacks deal 1d8 damage.

    Flaws

    • Overconfidence: If an opponent is below 25% health, Charlotte losses 1 armor.

Interested In: Varried foes. Big, feral, bestial, or animalistic foes. Being or having a controlling dom. Interested in things that penetrate, but girl on girl is okay too.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Usually at least twice per week.
    Ons: Non-con, pain, gore, anything
    Offs: Scat

    BlueOrange

I’ve done a numerical analysis of the champions submitted so far:

Fyra Black: Average damage 5.1, Average armor 1.1 (hard to kill due to 4 points of armor at low health, we now know most players average less than 4 damage)
Aletta de Fanfaronne (vs1): Average damage 5.1, Average armor 3
Aletta de Fanfaronne (vs many): Average damage 3.5, Average armor -2
Kayla: Average damage 3.5, Average armor 1.1
Miyuki: Average damage 3.6 Average armor -0.2
Octavia Lavinia: Average damage 3 to 4 depending. Average armor 0
Cecile Feathermore: Average damage 5.5 (assumes reasonably efficient DoT usage). Average armor 1
Yama: Average damage 3.5 with spike worth 13.5 (if spike does not end the match, damage drops to 2). Average armor 3 vs physical, 0 vs other
Ember: Average damage 5ish. Average armor 0ish (very strong variations)
Proposed ‘accumulating poison’ attack: Average damage 4.3 (assumes target survives several rounds)
Charlotte d’Anjou: Average damage 4 (efficient vs groups), average armor 0.5

Estimated averages will be less reliable with more complex character rulesets.  Some characters will vary from their averages more than others. Debuffs of a discretionary nature were ignored. Execution of tactics assumed successful.

Some guides for people who might want to adjust their numbers:

The number of rounds it will take for an opponent to take you down is likely to be 50 / (their avg damage -your average armor). Consider how many attack poses you’ll want to do in 1 fight: a lot of these fights are shaping up to be epics, if heroes duel each other.

Average damage for a simple die roll:
    1d6: 3.5
    1d8: 4.5
    1d10: 5.5

    SmashingPots

I've revised a few numbers and clarified some things in my character sheets. Hopefully it makes sense/is more balance for their situations.
I removed Cecile's healing and gave her DoTs some specific values. As a boss-type of encounter it would be overkill with sustain, but I feel like 50 HP will be too low in a 1v2-3. Again, I'm not very experienced in this sort of scenario, but I'm during my best! I must preface that I'm not here to ruffle feathers or make Mary Sue characters, I'm just having some struggles with balancing, is all. I only really have game terminology and such to rely on for abilities and what not, but those obviously don't align perfectly with DnD-esque situations.
On a similar note, I lowered some numbers on Ember, specifically damage and armor, but added a risk versus reward sort of element, that I think could prove to be interesting. Let me know what you think.

I'm looking forward to getting things rolling.~

I've revised my calculations for Cecile. Ember is really hard to calculate (that’s an interesting and good thing), but the baseline performance seems largely unchanged.

There’s a lot of things we don’t know at the moment. The most critical thing we don’t know is “How many poses until the fight gets boring?” I’m an impatient sort, so my feeling is (for dueling at least) that damage numbers are low across the field. Easy enough to fix in the two main arenas at the moment, we can just dial up the environmental damage.

I would be much more inclined to buff the weaker characters than to nerf the stronger ones. It’s easier, given that the stronger characters feature a lot of numbers that are close to zero.

    Vonandi

I added another qualifier to the unsteady flaw, I was also wondering if I should make the slow flaw minus -2 instead of minus -1 so it doesn't take as many people to work?

    pdragon

I think either raising base damage or lowering base health would help fix any pacing issues.

Given how slow forum based combat can be, perhaps the base health should be 20-25 instead of 50? That way if people are doing max base damage fights can end in as few as 4 or 5 turns, which could translate to like 8-10 posts between two people and maybe 2-3 weeks in real time. I think it would also give armor more of an impact, while also keeping it from stretching out fights too long. If someone is averaging 3 damage then 2 armor would make a fight turtle slow if they both have 50 health, but 20 it could be more manageable time wise, while also feeling like each individual point is more valuable.

Admittedly I wasn't sure what the stats on monsters themselves would be, which is why I aimed higher with my stats. I figured they'd probably be doing way more than just d6 damage, so I figured having an ability that would give you a big boost right at the end of their health would be more of a gamble, since it'd be possible that she took enough damage to kill her before her second stage even properly triggered.
What a thrill...with silence and darkness through the night....

I think this is the best solution, with 25 health my charry would go down (in an unfavourable situation) in 5-6 turns, I think that's more than enough for a 1v1

    SmashingPots

I wholeheartedly agree. There's nothing worse than a situation dragging on for too long.

Something along those lines would certainly fit with the concept I had in mind.

Assuming worst case someone doing only 1 damage a turn (average rolls and armor and such), then 50 rounds to to take down another gladiator, one hundred posts in total sounds pretty scary from a game managing point :3

Yeah, I think I underpowered it in very much the same way that everyone else is underpowered. If you remove the ‘maximum number of doses’, then you’d win a duel in round 10 (with an average damage of 5.5, purely from DoT).

I’m well in favor of high-powered characters, but ultimately, we’re just going to have to experiment.

    Kimera

Uhu, although I was mentioning it as more in general. But you are right, the cumulitive poison would still be quite effective.

I was also toying with the idea of using various status effects instead. Like doing low damage / damage over time paired with taking away enemy turns with effects like stuns or paralysis. Offcourse this might risk turning fights even slower paced (and boring) so I dunno if it would work.

    BlueOrange

That does seem quite appealing: the mechanical inventiveness has been a joy to support. The danger with stuns is typically that once CCed, people can’t do anything. However, I think there’s a number of people here who enjoy being unable to do anything, so it’ll just be a matter of getting the pairings right & some OOC courtesy.

    Kimera

Perhaps some chance die to see if a stun effect is triggered and perhaps another one to break out of it.

As a potential weakness, I was considering making my character slow herself only acting on odd turns (but being passively active during even turns with DoT's and the mentioned stun effects). This would give enemies the chance to break free or out of status effects.

    BlueOrange

Now I worry that you wouldn’t have enough to do. Perhaps simply a a 1-turn cooldown on each ability, forcing you to vary your attacks?

    Kimera

    Yeah that might be true.

I like the brainstorming though and the cooldown rotation is pretty interesting :3

    BlueOrange

Wow, nothing like creating a tentacle venue to bring tentacle-based concepts into the open!

I’m now starting work on a ‘defend the lair’ concept, where NPCs will attack (and inevitably overwhelm) a section of the Lair that is defended by 1 or more champions. A ‘survival defense’ mode, if you will.

    1d6: 3.5
    1d8: 4.5
    1d10: 5.5

Thanks for the analysis!  Something that I think is worth examining with this: armor does a *lot* to stop fighters.  Let's assume HP is cut down to 25 instead of 50, and let's take a character with a flat +1 bonus to damage, so about 4.5 average damage.  With 0 armor, a character could survive for about 6 rounds.  With 1 armor, that goes up to about 7 rounds; with 2 armor it shoots up to 10 rounds, and 3 armor means they can last about 15 rounds.

    Kimera

Still a work in progress and mostly a collection of potential stunts and weaknesses at this point. I'm still toying with various status afflicting effects. Suggestions and ideas are welcome ^^

I think 25HP and d8 base damage would be good.

If you’re wearing negative armor in my arena, I’ll treat it as a damage magnifier. OOCly, it’s an invitation to swarm you with weak minions (not all the time, but Egnaro in particular will attack your weaknesses if he doesn’t think you’re frightened enough). Hope you like being teamed up on!

In terms of a narrative justification, ‘armor zero’ is ‘a normal level of protection’.

    Nastara

Legitimately, all of these characters look amazing.

When I had envisioned this, I wasn't expecting much PvP interest so balance wasn't big on my mind! Clearly PvP is a big point of interest!

I'll be honest, I'm Not sure how to balance these things! There's a part of me that says "Hey, these aren't balanced. If you want to win in PvP matches, make yourself stronger. If you want to lose, make yourself weaker. Feel free to adjust if it doesn't play in an interesting way."

In terms of armor, I initially was writing it as a negative number simply to indicate that you subtract the damage! Doesn't need to be listed that way!

Everyone who has posted, feel free to add to Character/Arena thread. My own arena and a couple other IC spaces will also launch today(ish) so we can get off the ground running!

Recruitment can be rolling, I think, with the number of people interested in running arenas! There's no reason people can't run arenas and character, that people can't drop in and drop out, and that we can retire or pick up new characters. This is meant to be open like that!

I'm gonna also have some advice/ideas for prizes, experience, etc coming quite soon! If arena judges feel like running things before then, that's also fine!

    Pronouns: She, her
    Sex: Female
    Race/Class: Vampire Rogue
    HP: 50
    Attack: d6
    Armor: -0
    Brief Description:
Emilia was once an adventuress, but she made the mistake of delving in a manor owned by a cum-vampiress. The cum-vampiress was a variant of vampire that fed on love fluids instead of blood, but this once disliked men which was an obvious problem. The semen-vampiress sustained herself by converting captured adventuresses into brides: vampire spawn who could provide the sustenance she needed by squirting when they orgasmed. But Emilia managed to escape and sought treatment at the Dungeon Arena League, fighting as a gladiatrix while she saved up to pay for a cure.

Due to her vampiric affliction Emilia is constantly in a state of arousal and ready to cum with just a little stimulation, which suited her former mistress's dietary needs. As another side effect of her condition, her curves filled out nicely, but her skin took on an unhealthily pale complexion too.

    Stunts

    • Sneak Attack: If Emilia attacks her opponent from behind, she deals 1d6 extra damage.
    • Cum Drain: If Emilia pins down her opponent, she can stimulate them and absorb any precum or cum. This deals normal damage but restores the same amount to Emilia's HP.
    • Shadow Form: When an opponent rolls 6 or higher damage against Emilia, she transforms into a flock of bats or a gaseous form, negating that damage against her. At the beginning of her turn, she can reform in any location within 30 feet (including right behind her opponent).

    Flaws

    • Extreme Sensitivity: Any damage Emilia receives from sexual stimulation accumulates. She climaxes after 10 such damage, losing her next turn and resetting the total to zero.
    • Light Vulnerability: If most of Emilia's skin is exposed to light (for example through clothing destruction), she takes 1d6 damage every turn.

Interested In: Both PvE and PvP fights. Rigged fights with sexualized restraints and disadvantages? Monsters, tentacles, large / multiple insertions, all orifices are open.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Twice weekly in general, more if things get really hot.

I think I may come up with an arena when I get home.  I’ve got three rough ideas:

First is a spider-themed arena, called The Parlor.  Expect a lot of web-themed traps, spider enemies that want to wrap up the adventurers, plenty of aphrodisiac and/or paralyzing venom, and potentially oviposition for the victims (although that’s skippable for anyone not into it)

The second idea is a transformation/petrification theme.  Cockatrices, basilisks, and a gorgon as the dungeon ruler looking for more statues for her collection!  (Well, not really.  She’s actually really nice, and doesn’t want to keep anyone as a statue for long, just enough to admire them.  But, she plays up a villain persona for the audience.)

The third idea is a bit more recent and not something I’ve planned out as much, but I’m thinking some kind of vore-themed arena.  Expect large monsters that try to swallow the heroes whole, slime creatures that engulf their victims, and so on.

Anyone want to chime in on which arena I work on?

    c0i9z

I would definitely want to try out the spider arena once it's up.

    SmashingPots

Might be able to chime in on the Spider-themed Arena idea. I've myriad experience with arachnids, not only from my real life career, but also from years of roleplaying the buggers in an assortment of colorful variations, from gargantuan baneful horrors, to apathetic huntresses (something along the lines of Cecile comes to mind, but there's obviously a lot that can be done to vary things) and everything in between.

    BlueOrange

The prospect of arenas fighting to recruit and retain the best talent would definitely come into play with the spider arena, which sounds like fun. The soft vore arena opens up similar possibilities, but I wouldn’t want to fight both arenas starting tomorrow, that would be a bit rough.

Perhaps I should come up with a (stupidly overpowered) character sheet for Egnaro, just in case there are people who want to meet him up close and personal.

I wasn't planning to make an arena originally, but an idea hit me late last night, and I figured I'd throw it up.

    Arena Info
Arena Name: Court of the Crimson King
    Judge Name:
    The Grand Fool
the head jester of the King's court. A flamboyant yet faceless woman who acts as ring leader for the arena, organizing and announcing all battles and showcases.

Brief Description: The Court of the Crimson King is an arena shrouded in mystery and obfuscation. It is in essence the giant throne room of the titular
    Crimson King
who sits sleeping upon his throne, unwaking and unmoving. Maintaining this slumber is the sole purpose of the arena, the sounds of clanging steel and screaming ecstasy a lullaby that fuels his dreams and keeps him from rising from his throne. To that end King's jesters draw in the strongest and most beautiful warriors from across the mortal realms, and bids them to fight and fuck for the King's amusement. It isn't explicitly stated what would actually happen if the King were to awaken and stand up from his throne, but the denizens of the court have referred to it as quote: "a bad time"

The Court lies within a world separate from our own, and can only be reached when passing through the veil of sleep. One cannot enter the Court by choice, and cannot refuse a summons once they've received their invitation. Once chosen by the court, a competitor will be approached in their dreams by a
    woman in red
. Her touch will cause the person to fall into a second slumber, and "awaken" inside the arena, already armed and dressed for combat. Upon completing their battle the gladiator will awaken back in their bed, with no memories of their experience, though their bodies will still be covered in any "evidence" of their time spent in the Court. Those who emerge victorious will also receive a small boon from the Court for their service, which will carry over into their next arena match in the waking world.

The Court itself is eldritch and non-euclidean in nature. The world of dreams is a fluid and every changing place, and as such the court will almost always be subtly shifting and rearranging itself, and will even take on completely different
    forms
from visit to visit. This affects the arena terrain as well, causing it to dramatically shift and change shape at random times, requiring a high degree of adaptability to surmount. Being a place of dreams, the Court will also be influenced by the dreamers who enter it, causing subtle changes based on who is currently fighting. Those with strong or heavily warped minds will have an even more pronounced effect on the arena, and some may even find themselves able to manipulate the terrain at will.

Challenges: The Court will pit chosen gladiators either against their fellow mortals, or against manifestations of the Court itself. The Court is able to drawn deeply from a gladiator's mind, using their darkest, most depraved fantasies and desires to construct their opponents. As such the player will be confronted by an amalgamation of their various kinks, their greatest desire made flesh, though usually with some kind of dark twist. In some cases this may cause the character themselves to be altered in some way, taking a form that may be closer to their ideal self, or a body best suited to endure the onslaught of their manifestation.

All challenges within the arena are combat focused, though can vary depending on the number of gladiators pulled into the dream at once. A singular combatant may be faced against a gauntlet of manifestations, a pair made to face one another in singles combat, or a group split into warring teams or just thrown into a free for all. Due to the supernatural nature of the arena, it is impossible to be fatally wounded in combat, and in fact all damage and pain one would receive is instead transmitted as pleasure to the body. This allows combatants to fight in ways they normally can't in other arenas, not having to hold back their strength or aim away from vital blows. Once victory is achieved the victor is expected to take their pleasure from the defeated then and there in front of the court, and in fact will not be released from the dream until they do, being thrown into another battle if necessary.

A combatant who wins their arena match will receive a small buff (tailored to the specific character) that will be applied to their next match in any other arena.

Interested In: Fierce and sexually charged battles, public displays of lust and domination, players who are willing to play into the surreal, dreamlike haze of the arena, allowing players to act a bit out of character or go nuts without lasting consequences or worry of character consistency
Looking For: Gladiators of any gender who are willing to be on either end of NC/DC scenes. Those with a taste for the surreal and mysterious, and enjoy old Fey/Lovecraftian themes.

Also a sheet for the Fool in case anyone wants to take a swing

    Adventurer Info
    Name: The Grand Fool
    Pronouns: she/her
    Sex: female?
    Race/Class: ?
    HP: 1?
    Attack: 1d10
    Armor: -0
Brief Description: A fickle foppish fool of favorable fortunes and formidable funnies. The Grand Fool, not to be confused with the Grande Fool or the Gran-Fool, and especially not the Band Fool (fuck that guy), is the master of ceremonies in the Crimson King's court. She leads the seemingly infinite legion of jesters who run and organize the Court's arena, and provide entertainment to it's royal denizens. While in most kingdoms the role of court jester is a lowly and often mocked position, given the seemingly cataclysmic importance of her task, keeping the King asleep, she is actually the second most powerful figure in the Court, second only to the King himself. The Grand Fool carries out this duty with much pride and grace, never seeming to tire of putting on an endless exhibition of carnal violence. Like a proper jester she is quite fond of jokes and japes, and always seems to be talking in either rhyme or alliteration, sometimes both at once. In addition to introducing gladiators she provides commentary on the fights themselves, and will sometimes go out of her way to pick on a particular combatant to try and throw them off their game. She has an eye for storytelling, and is good at picking up on a fight's dynamic and spinning more dramatic meaning from it, adding in extra epicness or casting the combatants as either the hero or villain of an imaginary grudge match.

While her garments make it impossible to make out any significant details of her face or body, the mouth and eyes of her mask remaining cast in deep shadows from literally every angle and lighting, one can make out small details if one looks close enough. Her figure is long and slender, and definitely feminine in shape...maybe. And those who've managed to catch a lucky glimpse beneath the flutter of her cape have all remarked on her truly remarkable ass, beautifully accentuated by her skin tight...er, tights.

    Stunts

    • 9th sense: Seemingly possesses total awareness of everything around her, and can anticipate and react to any attempted attack within the blink of an eye. As such she is nearly impossible to land a blow on. An attacker needs to roll a 01 on a percentile dice roll to hit her.

    • Dance of Blades: Her cloak hides a seemingly endless supply of swords, which she opts to just throw at opponents instead of swinging. Each sword thrown will take on a mind of it's own and continue to float around and attack the opponent on each subsequent turn, eventually becoming an inescapable swarm of slicing metal. Adds an additional d10 to her damage each turn.

    Flaws

    • Body of Glass: Her constitution is so woefully pitiful that it would take only a single blow to kill her, the Grand Fool dropping dead at the mere prick of a finger. An ignoble and surely permanent death.

Interested In: Running her arena and keeping things entertaining
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: 2-3 times a week

Ons: Who knows, the inner machinations of her loins are an enigma
Offs: The King waking up, it's a bad time.

I am thinking about making a character with bone manipulating magic or some character who can temporary make himself undying.
"If you are happy, clap your hands"

    BlueOrange

My concern about bone manipulating magic is that you’d need to be really careful around OOC consent (if manipulating someone else’s bones). Then again, I’m relatively squeamish as players with an interest in combat go. (Egnaro might go for it, but he’s a shapeshifter, so effectively immune.)

Tanking is tricky: the main challenge when writing a tank is to make them not boring. Also worth noting that when HP hits zero, you’re not dead, you’re defeated.  Most people here (I think) are not into necro, but they do want to have their way with those they defeat.

    SmashingPots

There's always the possibility of putting a magical twist to it, where you either conjure up bones by playing the strings of reality somehow, or simple suck them up from elsewhere. As long as you're not pulling a sneaky on people, going a gruesome route of blood-bending turned up to 11, I don't see people having an issue with it as long as you're being mindful.
If you're keen on a character possessing temporary invulnerability, there are certainly other avenues as well.

    Mastery of Death:
You use your familiarity with 'death' to escape its ravenous grasp. When you are reduced to 0 HP return immediately with x HP.

Something as simple as that could work, but of course there's also the more logical route of invulnerability that reduces all damage taken to 0 for a duration.

I do not want to control the bones of others, but to use my own for combatitive and less combatitive purposes.
What counts as boring in a tank to you?

Ah, if it’s controlling your own bones, then there won’t be a problem.

The challenge with tanks is finding the excitement. It’s easier to write exciting stuff when you’re dealing damage or taking damage. ‘Not taking damage’ is a process where something isn’t happening. It can be hard to write ‘nobody got hurt’ in an interesting way.

    CrystalPaladin

    I thought about these stunts:

    Stunts

    • Indomitable Will: The person is immune to any mental status effects such as being charmed, confused, etc. The person has resistance to any other status effect such as poison, stun, etc.
    • Until the lasts: If the person would be defeated by the attack, then the user will stay on 1 HP and cannot be defeated for 1d6 turns
    Flaws

    • Fatique: This character is weak against sleep effect and spells with sleep effect will always work.
    • Equity: If his opponent has a lower attack than him, he will lose attack points by the disparity of their attack points. This only applies when dueling

I have no more idea yet, but these would be the basic stunts. The flaws are still W.I.P.
"If you are happy, clap your hands"

    BlueOrange

The most important thing is that it be distinctive, and it’s distinctive! And if you don’t like mental status effects and do like sleeping, then it’s a solid combination.

    CrystalPaladin

Is there any rule for the genders of the gladiators? Because all the ones I checked are females
"If you are happy, clap your hands"

    SmashingPots

Fairly sure that's more of a coincidence. There are no gender specific parameters. We could certainly use a few sausages for all these buns, if you're so inclined.

    CrystalPaladin

I just asked because I thought this is a girls only place. I still have no idea what kind of character I want to make.
"If you are happy, clap your hands"

    pdragon

Nastara was originally calling for at least feminine presenting characters at first, but that part seems to have been removed from the first post so I imagine it's fine making a male character.

There's a hard slant towards female characters due to the theme of the game itself, with gladiators mostly being defeated and violated by monsters/other gladiators, though I'm sure a male character could fit as well. The only thing is that monsters/scenarios would have to be changed slightly if he's purely hetero, since obviously the hazards and enemies have all been geared towards females so far.

I see. I did not decide what my character's gender would be. I am just a stranger when it's abiut roleplaying as females
"If you are happy, clap your hands"

    BlueOrange

I’m sure at least one of the girls in this setting enjoys sausages. I’ve labeled my arenas ‘character gender irrelevant’ because they are open to everyone.

    CrystalPaladin

I decided that I would try to roleplay as a female. And I already found a good picture for an "avatar"

I actually ended up being intrigued by the idea and made a male gladiator myself.

    Adventurer Info
    Name: Vasha Hadun
    Pronouns: he/him
    Sex: male
    Race/Class: Human Summoner
    HP: 25
    Attack: d8
    Armor: -0
Brief Description: A young man hailing from the dessert kingdom of Korra. Originally an orphan, he was taken in by a noble as an entertainer and pleasure slave. Over time his master would become more and more abusive and violent, prompting him to try and escape. His master caught him mid-escape, and in the ensuing struggle he sliced Vasha's throat with an enchanted
    flute dagger
. The cut wasn't deep enough to kill him, but it severed his vocal chords, rendering him mute. Vasha ultimately managed to get the upper hand in the struggle, and was able to flee into the night with the dagger in hand. Given his sorry state the boy would have been easily tracked down by the state guard, to either be executed or worse, returned to his master, but salvation came in the form of the very weapon that had disabled him. By staining the blade with his blood, Vasha had unknowingly made a pact with the
    spirit
sealed within it, allowing him to summon the specter and harness it's power by playing the enchanted instrument. With it's powerful illusion magic Vasha was able to cover his tracks as he fled north. Eventually he found his way to the arena, and hopes to use the money he earns there to build a new life for himself in this foreign land.

In spite of the struggles Vasha has lived through, the young man remains a kind and gentle soul. Having been trained to entertain and please, he is naturally attentive to others, and will go out of his way to socialize or cheer up someone who appears in distress. This willingness to please speaks to a more submissive nature, and he will usually tolerate most requests and commands without much issue. However when pushed particularly hard his reactions can turn extreme and violent without warning, an after affect of the trauma he experienced from his old master. However as long as he's treated kindly he's pretty much a cuddly lap cat. The biggest problem when interacting with Vasha is getting around his muteness. Not being able to speak he relies mostly on gestures and body langauge to try and get his point across, though if needing to communicate a more complex idea he will sometimes use his flute to conjure up a basic illusion to illustrate what he's trying to say.

From a young age Vasha was groomed to be an ideal pleasure slave, and it reflects clearly in his appearance. The practice of taking highly effeminate male slaves is a popular trend back in his homeland, and so the process of feminization is a well refined art. A strictly controlled diet and training program have given him a svelte figure, slender muscles, long legs and wide hips. His chocolate skin has been treated to remain silky smooth and hairless at all times. His food was laced with tonics to permanently dye his hair and give it a silkier texture and sheen. He has even had his facial structure subtly altered to maximum its femininity. Combined with dark make up and revealing clothes makes him a picturesque exotic beauty.

    Stunts

    • Mirage: Once per battle Vasha can reveal that the target the opponent just attacked was actually just an illusion. Negates the damage from the opponent's most recent attack.

    • Feinting Smoke: Creates an illusory clone of the spirit. Both spirits attack in tandem to confuse the opponent, distracting them with the illusion and catching them off guard with the real one. Lowers damage roll to d4, but can make two rolls and take the higher result.

    • Illusory Flames: Creates an illusion of the foe being attacked by fire, attacking the mind instead of the body. Damage bypasses armor. If the target takes damage from any other source they are shaken from the illusion and regain health equal to half the total damage dealt by illusory flame attacks.

    Flaws

    • Shared Senses: Any damage/sensation applied to the spirit is reflected back on Vasha
    • Vulnerable body: If opponent rolls highest possible damage they bypass the spirit and hit Vasha directly, stopping his playing and banishing his spirit for 2 turns, preventing the use of any stunts for that period as well.
    • Mute: Unable to verbally communicate, especially detrimental in cooperative situations.

Interested In: All the same scenarios as a female gladiators. Fights with monsters and other gladiators. Men, women, futa, bestial monsters (centaurs, minotaurs, werewolves, etc.), and tentacle monsters.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: 2-3 times weekly

    Name: Rose Soleil
    Pronouns: she/her
    Sex: female
    Race/Class: Human Paladin
    HP: 50
    Attack: d8
    Armor: -0
Brief Description: A human, who were trained by paladins and clerics, and when she was ready, she began her journey as an adventurer. Travelling far and wide, fighting with all sorts of foes and constantly taking part in adventures alone or with other people. Over time she became stronger, and she developed a strong mind which allowed her to resist to some spells. After a time she was bored from the adventures, because they were no challenge anymore, so she began to participate in the arenas for bigger challenge, and maybe for some more expected or less expected surprise.

Althought she developed some muscle on her body, she remained feminime. But unlike any other female, she has something else in her pants, something that usually only man have.

She is someone who likes to have fun, but it doesn't mean that she wouldn't be someone with good intentions and is very determined.

    Stunts

    • Indomitable Will (passive): She immune to any mental status effects such as being charmed, confused, etc. She also has a chance to be immune to any other effect too, but in this case a 1d6 must be thrown. If the number is 5 or 6, then she won't be affected.
    • Until the lasts: If she is about to be defeated by an attack, then the she will stay on 1 HP instead and cannot be defeated for 1d6 turns. Can be used only once.
    • Sunrise: She is able to cast a lightbeam from the sky that will travel straight towards her and will damage the enemies and heal herself and her allies in a 30ft radius. The damage is 1d10 and the heal is 1d12, and Equity won't influence the damage of Sunrise. Must wait 5 turns afterwards.
    Flaws

    • Fatique: She is weak against sleep effect and spells with sleep effect will always work.
    • Equity: If her opponent has a lower attack than her, she will lose attack points by the disparity of their attack points. This only applies when dueling.
    • Natural attraction: If she is fighting with someone who she sees attractive, -3 on default attacks and -4 on Sunrise (healing not included).

    Adventurer Info
    Name: Sakura Suzuki
    Pronouns: She/her
    Sex: Female
    Race/Class: Human, Whip fighter
    HP: 50
    Attack: d4
    Armor: -0
Brief Description: Given her attributes and appeal Sakura attracted the attention of every men, and quite an amount of women too, since she was young. She didn't took long before taking advantage of this but more often than not things would end in her being groped beyond what she wanted and so she trained herself in a way that would allow her to be the one in control instead. She had trouble finding an armor she could don as none would be able to fit the size of her breasts so having to opt for none she thought it would be better to focus on keeping her distance and made the whip her weapon of choice.

After mastering her style not only she became more dominant than ever but she also became quite overconfident, it was not without a good reason though as she was able to get herself a magical whip that extends beyond its natural range, seems to duplicate itself as it binds around an opponent and repairs itself as soon as it is damaged. Now she wanders the lands turning into her pet anyone she likes, be it as the result of a fight or challenge or just because she saw someone she liked. She also takes great pleasure in demoralizing and embarrassing her rivals, more if it's in public.

    Stunts

    • Provocation: Be it through demoralizing, by flirting or by other means Sakura can lower her opponents ability to defend themselves, she deals no damage and her attack result is applied as an armor penalty and as duration of this effect.
    • Binding whip: Instead of dealing damage Sakura can aim at her opponents limbs and bind them to penalize their speed and to apply a penalty equal to her attack result to their attack until they can free themselves by spending an attack and rolling a higher number, this roll is not penalized.
    • Great reach: While not an actual range weapon Sakura  magic whip reaches further than a regular whip would as such she doesn't need to be close to her opponents to be able to attack them, in fact she prefers to fight at a distance until she can gain control of them.
    • Dominatrix: +2 on attack rolls against bound targets.

    Flaws

    • Long weapon: when in melee her long reach actually becomes a liability, if she rolls a 1 on an attack she ends up binding herself in her own whip instead of her opponent
    • Leather lover: being a fan of leather herself and how it feels against her bare skin Sakura suffer a -1 on rolls to escape leather bondage including being bound with her own whip.

Interested In: fighting with other gladiators and monsters (any gender is fine, the most exotic the monster the better), fighting with ongoing sexual penalties, dominating and being dominated.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Daily or every couple of days, very rarely on weekends though.
Ons: bondage, humiliation, non-con, pseudo rape, rough sex, sex toys and devices, clothed sex.
Offs: Bath stuff, bloodplay, gore, excessive bondage.

Um, might change her picture for this one instead
