Pentagon Insider and strategist Thomas PM Barnett quotes an article from Andrew Sullivan:

The Top 10 Reasons Conservatives Should Vote For Obama

Andrew Sullivan isn't a conservative what would he know about it? You might as well ask Rush Limbaugh to come up with reasons Liberals should vote for McCain.

I don't like either candidate. Obama is Liberal Heavy, while McCain is Liberal Lite. Too much big government.

So? I'm not a professional astronomer, and I'm reasonably certain Veks isn't either, but either of us can talk you a mean mile on the subject. Sullivan allegedly considers himself a gay, classical libertarian conservative at odds with other conservatives, if he says he's conservative, who are you or I to argue he's not?

I found his article to be well reasoned and respectful of conservative values...comparing him to Limbaugh is unfair because Limbaugh is like the Mouth of Sauron for the extreme right.

Andrew Sullivan says he's a conservative libertarian, yet he's held absolutely no position that could be considered conservative or libertarian since 2000. As such I don't consider him either, and no one's taken him seriously since that time. He shilled pretty hard for Kerry and now Obama, if you want a more accurate comparison Zell Miller might be more apt.

To each his own, but just because 'nobody's' taking him seriously, and I neither know nor care who 'nobody' is, doesn't make his opinion any less informed or correct.

If I have an opinion on something and I know I've largely come to the truth of a matter, I need no validation from my peers. At the very least I consider him an informed opinion.
