Referrals?

I am seeing "Referrals" under people's names. Am I crazy or has this just appeared? What is it?

If you go to your profile, you'll see a "referrals link" similar to this:
https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?action=refferals;refferedby=1237

If somebody clicks on that link and during the same (cookie?) session registers to be a member on Elliquiy, that means that you have made 1 referral to Elliquiy.

I remember them being removed/disabled at some point in the past, so the return is new.

Not sure if there will be any kind of reward for making a certain number of referrals (especially considering that referrals, while they wouldn't be tracked, can also be just you telling your friends about it, them doing a Google search, and finding it "on their own"; or if you have a blog and mention Elliquiy but don't include a referral link, that would technically be a referral, but would be untracked), but one of the best ways to support Elliquiy is to tell other people about it, especially people who would enjoy being a part of the community and who would be good members.

I imagine that the referrals link would be most useful for those who have blogs, for those who have profiles on other forums and are allowed to include referral links, etc.
