Welcome to the O.S.S.

Victorian London. A place filled with all the technological wonders the world has to offer. A place of majesty, of wonder, of commerce and trade.

Of darkness.

Aeroships roam the blue skies and happy citizens walk the streets, but evil most foul prowls it's dark alleys and seedy neighborhoods. It is a time of steam-powered creations and devices, but also of the supernatural and magical. Pandora's Box has been opened and as mankind began to probe the very nature of the world it began to test back. Werewolves, vampires, zombies, the occult. All sorts of foul and twisted creations rear their ugly heads at night, preying on the lower-class, the drunk, the opium-addicted, or just the unwary.

Yet such menace does not walk the streets freely. The good people of London have at their beck and call the O.S.S., a cadre of scientists, adventurers, and specialists that shine light upon this darkness. They are the brave, the intelligent, the bold. They rise against creatures of the night and when London needs a sword against the evil, they are the ones to take up arms.

What is this?
A steampunk adventure! Taking place in Victorian-era London, enhanced with steampunk technology. You are a new recruit to the O.S.S. and you will be joining your fellow recruits in the newly formed Squad 7. Together, you will battle the likes of Black Plague, The Steam Queen, and Lord Sth'toth!

Is this based on anything?
Just the crazy ideas in my head.

Will there be a system?
No, this will be freeform.

What do you expect from players?
To post frequently, at least three times a week, and to keep up with the game and at least see through to the conclusion of one mission.

This sounds like fun, I'm so in I'll have a character ready in a few days

Cassandra LeMay

Question: Would you allow a non-human character? Or rather a "previously human" character? I once created a reanimated / Frankenstein creature type character for a steampunk game that never came to pass, and I was wondering if I could resurrect (no pun intended) her for this setting.

Name: Nathaniel (nate) Lock
Age: 26
Height: 6 ft 2
Build: well toned but not overly muscular

Role: forge master of the order. He builds and maintains the weapons used by the teams in the field.

Appearance: Nate Lock has a typical blacksmith look to him, a Greece and burn covered apron covers his outfit and his wavey black hair is usually plastered to his face with sweat. His eyes are a pale yellow color that resembles the eyes of a wolf although he is completely human, this is due to his mother being bitten days before his birth. He keeps his arms bear and it reveals the multitude of scars covering his right arm, he has another scar on the bridge of his nose.

Bio: Born in the rural country side just outside of London, Nathan had a mostly happy childhood. His father had been a skilled blacksmith and taught his only son the skills of his trade. At an early age Nathan took notice of his mother needing to go away each full moon but never truly understood it.

Three times in his childhood Nathan saw tradegy in his life. First when his baby sister became a still birth, second when his father died taking his mother away for one of her absences when Nathan was fifteen and then a few months after that when he witnessed his mother transform and she almost tore his arm off (hence the scars) after he had to kill his own mother Nathan went to live with his uncle who was a member of the order and now despite being more helper then soldier he still goes with hunters on wearwolf hunts.
