I don't know if anyone remembers this, but there was a story circulating last year around this time about a little girl who told her mother that she'd take a pink water bottle instead of her favorite Star Wars water bottle to avoid being harassed by kids telling her 'girls can't like Star Wars'.  I know that we've got Star Wars fans across the gender spectrum here, so I thought I'd spread the word:

I genuinely never heard of Katie before but have sent the email to my siblings who all have school going children and who by the way are all Star Wars fans - even the girls.

I know two of my sisters are on the school committees and are strong No Bullying advocates so will push this I'm sure.
December 16th - think I'll wear my own Star Wars t-shirt that day in support ;)
