All the socialising threads are coming through when someone replies to them, but not for my RP threads. It's happened to two of my RPs and it makes me look like a bad partner :-( What's going on?

Is this through email notifications or through the 'Show new replies to my posts' link onsite?

It may depend on how often you're able to refresh that particular page.  Things tend to move down the page fairly fast and may end up on page 2 before you can catch them.  I found that using the Bookmark feature and checking there on a regular basis was more convenient.  You can also set up a notification and receive an email message when one of your partners posts.  There is a NOTIFY button at the top and bottom of the thread.

Use bookmarks, is my recommendation : )

+1.

The "New replies to my posts" is more useful for socializing threads, I've found. Roleplays, though? Bookmarks for the win! or notifications.

I don't know if I'm having the same thing or not.  On of my RP threads has been "weird" since my partner created it.  I access it through my bookmarks, but whenever I click on the "new posts" link, it will take me randomly somewhere halfway into the thread.

Last night, things got really weird when I posted a reply.  We can both see--both by using bookmark links and accessing the thread just by going to the forum--that I've posted, but when anyone looks at the thread, my post isn't there.  I can see the post through my Profile/Show Posts link, and it displays as belonging to the thread, but it can't be seen any other way than by looking in my profile.  I posted the same post again, as well as a test post, with the same results.

The "reply" count increments on the thread, the "last post name and time are correct", but nobody can see the replies.  I've posted to other threads with no problem.

To see what I'm talking about, here's the thread:

https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=105643.0

Here's my profile, showing the actual posts you should see when accessing the above thread:

https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=12283

I thought maybe this is what the original poster of this thread was also experiencing, but maybe I'm misreading.  This just seemed like a good place to ask what I might be doing wrong or what might be going on.

And since I should say it all the time and don't, thank you, Vekseid, for providing this awesome site!

The staffers actually have a tool to fix that, Hera. It happens sometimes, and it is a different issue. PM a staffer (a Siren/Satyr, one of those who have a purple name in the who's online list, or a God/Goddess, with a red name in the who's online list) with the link and your problem and they can use the tool to fix it.

:)

Hera

Yay!  Thank you so much, especially for the quick answer!

Have a great Sunday,

I should probably give normal members access to that tool.

Is it fixed now, Hera?
