OOC/Character Sheet Thread: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=156239.0

(Queue John Williams and rolling text)

Darkness fades…

The Empire is in shambles. Rumor is that The Emperor is dead, and his Dark Council depleted, leaving a solemn few to fill its ranks. This is seen as an end by some, but as an opportunity for other up and coming lords and ladies of the dark arts as they vie for power  and the chance to claim a empty seat alongside the likes of Darth Marr, Darth Mortis, and Darth Ravage.

Meanwhile on Korriban, Darth Moros has commanded a tournament to be held, featuring the best acolytes the planet has to offer.  But in secret, Moros truly desires to find the most powerful Sith of pure blood he can. And then make her his son’s, Erobas, apprentice. Though for what purpose is a mystery for now…

Hello all! This roleplay takes place following the endings of several of the storylines from the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, and is set in that time period (3000 years before the movies). To avoid spoilers I placed a summary of the events from TOR in the explanation inside the spoiler box below.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
The endings to many of the storylines of TOR, depending on what class you play, all (to my knowledge) lead to the Empire being is a state of transition. The Jedi Knight story reveals that The Emperor (Vitiate) is seemingly dead, or at least his body is no more. And the Sith Warrior and Inquisitor endings suggest that much of the Dark Council were killed during the Cold War, leaving about half of its seats filled. And leaving plenty of room for possibilities for where the Empire could go from there. It's still in tact, but in a sense, rebuilding after effectively being defeated in the Cold War.

What I'm looking for is a small group of three to six people to play competing lords and ladies of the Sith, as well as apprentices trying to rise in power. The story is something very open at this point, but decidedly focused on the Sith and the inner workings and power struggles present in it. The only requirement we have at this point is for someone to play the role of a female Sith Pureblood who in time will become apprenticed to Erobas, and is a pivotal part of the opening of the story. Apart from that any type of unique characters are welcome, and that includes non-force users (Bounty Hunters, Imp. Agents, Smugglers, etc.). Though I would prefer no character be a high ranking Darth at the beginning without more closely discussing it OOC, and for there to be a good balance of apprentices and masters.

Thanks for reading and if interested please use the character sheet below to introduce your character (or characters) with any other additional information you think is needed.

Name:
Erobas

Race:
Sith Pureblood

Age:
28

Appearance:

Planet of Origin:
Dromund Kaas

Position:
Sith Lord (still apprenticed)

Abilities:
Simple knowledge of the Force and force usage, master of Juyo form lightsaber combat.

Personality:
Regal, narcissistic, and domineering. Erobas believes himself a form of royalty, being born of a storied bloodline of the Sith and it shows in his personality. Which is entirely self centered and over confident, as well as confrontational. He is also a very driven individual, feeling he doesn't receive the respect he deserves, and is willing to go to any lengths to gain more power and renown in The Empire.

Bio/Background:
Erobas was born the only son of Darth Moros V. A storied title in the history of the Sith. It has been a title passed down for five generations, and Erobas is next in line for it. However, he was born a bastard to a sickly and lowly mother of weak and impure blood. And birthing him cost her own life. Since, his father has hated him and thought him unworthy to be his heir. Regardless, he was made Moros’ apprentice when he was but a child and has been training in the Dark Side since. He possesses a relatively weak affinity to the Force, as his real strength is in martial combat. A true master of Juyo form who prefers to use two light sabers, Lord Erobas is a deadly storm in a fight not to be taken lightly.

Name: Xion

Age: 19

Race: Twi'lek

Appearance: http://avatars.guildlaunch.net/character_files/13549487/avatar9997.jpg

Planet of Origin: Nar Shaddaa

Position: Sith apprentice (new)

Abilities: Seduction, sith sorcery

Personality: Likes to be dramatic and attempts being sadistic but often fails miserably. She can often be a ditz and tends to surround herself          with more powerful people to feel secure. She has a bit of an obsession with cute things.

Bio/Background: Born without a father, her mother was a cantina dancer and slave on Nar Shaddaa. After reaching maturity, she began dancing like her mother as well as being a slave to the same Hutt her mother was. At age 18 her mother was killed in the cross fire between jedi and sith by one f the jedi. This fueled her anger and she unleashed force lightning on the jedi. A sith lord witnessed this power and spirited her away to Korriban to study at the sith academy and become a powerful ally to the darkside.

Marie Reynolds

I would be interested in this game just wondering if it would be appropriate to play a force sensitive vassal to the Fel family during its time serving in the Empire of the Hand started by Admiral Thrawn and I was playing around with the idea she was a student to a tera kazi  user but her instruction ended and became a bit more free lance and eventually began to follow to the path to the dark side and so the fel family order her to enter the splintering Sith council and gather intel and report to the Empire of the hand as to its plans and if it will become a distablizing force in the galaxy or remain a viable ally.

Vaulera

I would love to play some sort of ruthless imperial agent, if that's possible. It was my favourite class in TOR, mostly because of the way you handled things dialogue-wise, also, sniper was highest dps pvp class.

I think there's some confusion about the time period. This role play is set in The Old Republic era, the time period of Thrawn and the things you're referring to occur about 3000 years later. And I'm sorry for not clarifying that better in the OP. And an Imperial Agent would be most welcome :).

Marie Reynolds

Nope  you were spot on in your OP, I miss did the math when combing through wookiepedia. Back to the drawing board and delving through the history to find a way to just oddly be in the position that left her out of the center stage and then through a serious of odd events something new gets dropped in her lap.

Blobbe

I'm potentially interested, but I'd need to know what rating/board this game would be going in first.

Odanrav

At this point I would say Light, Human Small Groups. I think every species is humanoid enough for it not to be exotic, and I don't see a lot of non consensual sex occurring, though there's the chance for that because of the nature of the  Sith. But at the same time, this will be far more story driven, than smut driven.

Kiyoko

#9
Name: Sa'na Aozora

Race: Chiss

Appearance:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Planet of Origin: Csilla

Position: Sith Lord - Ex Jedi Knight.

Abilities: Force stasis/choke, heightened intelligence, excellent usage of Juyo (with a 2nd lightsaber) and can use Shien form to a basic level.

Personality: Serious, but relentless in combat.

Bio/Background:

Sa'na was born on Csilla, but quickly her life became difficult, due to her being force sensitive and among Chiss that is frowned apon, she was quickly taken off the planet. All thanks to her mother and father, who somehow managed to secure a transport pod. The parents punched in some co-ordinates at random, in hope this'll give Sa'na a better chance at life..

This pod bought her to Tython, the home of the Jedi where she suprisingly quickly rose to the rank of Jedi Knight, becoming proficiant in the form of Shien, but one day..the council sent her alone to Hoth, the planet notorious for its freezing temperatures. Out of nowhere in the frozen tundra, a powerful Sith came along and challenged her to an honourable duel, which suprised her. The terms were if the Jedi lost, she'd come with the Sith to Korriban and train in the dark side of the force, against the odds, Sa'na accepted. The duel lasted a few hours, but eventually..Sa'na was defeated...and due to being honourbound to the terms, she went to Korriban and trained into the Dark side of the force...and quickly rose through their ranks.

Kdyami

If you have room for one more I'm interested in joining
Hey all I'm property of the U.S government and as such I may randomly disappear for a day or two.  I apologize in advance but I'll get back to you ASAP

Odanrav

Approved Kiyoko and very nice character. :)

Yes there's still room Kdyami as we only have three characters at the moment.

Vaulera

Name: (Abbreviated/ nickname) Tala Drass

Race: Chiss

Appearance:

Planet of Origin: Coruscant

Position: Imperial Agent

Abilities: Covert operations specialist, Adept marksmanship, skilled in hand-to-hand and explosive munitions.

Personality: Tala is as cold and ruthless as the imperial agent job requires, but with her exceptional disguising, whether in voice or mannerisms, she can appear as any sort of personality. Outside of work, she has a considerable sense of humor, however twisted and enjoys her drink.

Bio/Background: Life on Coruscant was tough starting out. The Empire, although usually fair or apathetic, didn't care much for the working class. Tala, growing up, became quite adept at plying the criminal trade. At some point or another, she started accepting money for kills, a hitman or assassin. Before she knew it, Tala had cut quite a name for herself in the criminal underworld that spanned galaxies, earning a reputation for her merciless style. Creeping in, killing with a single strike, whether from knife, poison or a single, well aimed blaster shot. Though as these things tended to end, she, in her youth, was caught by the Empire on one of her more dangerous hits, killing an official in the Imperial Intelligence Agency. But rather than the execution Tala expected, she was offered leniency in the form of a salaried pay for doing the same thing as before. Tala's fearsome reputation for Assassination had already been created, but in the service of the Imperial Intelligence, she was outfitted with the finest gear, taught how to disappear, how to disguise and persuade. It was only a few years before Tala became a distinguished Cipher Agent, the name given to the agents who were to handle only the most dangerous assignments.

Current Group: Imperial Intelligence

Odanrav

Approved, and very interesting Vaulera. Things are moving quick, a few more characters and we can start things up. :)

Frelance

I am interested in joining this game. I have an idea in mind to play a clawdite probably a Sith acolyte but I have not decided if that is the best way to play the character. So if there is still room I will write up a CS sheet for the character.

Ya I found them really interesting. I have used a clawdite in a similar game before and he worked out pretty well. He worked well as a force user but I am just trying to decide if I want to play him the same way again.

#17
Name: Temor Dominar

Race: Human

Appearance:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Planet of Origin: Dromund Kaas

Position: Darth

Abilities: A master of single saber combat, Temor is an unstoppable juggernaut on the battlefield. He shrugs off wounds that would crush most people. Temor is also a master of unarmed combat, and has been known on several occasions to duel other Sith Lords without ever even bothering to draw his lightsaber. He is also very potent in telekinetic applications of the Force. He has developed his telekinetics into a rare technique allowing him to deflect even lightsaber strikes and blaster bolts with his barehands(Similar to how Satele blocks a Saber strike in the TOR "Hope" Cinematic, or how Vader deflected Han's blaster). He has also learned how to fight while blinded, relying entirely on his sense of hearing and focus.

Personality: Temor is a curious and rare thing. An intelligent Sith. Frankly, most of his fellow Sith disgust him with their stupidity and incompetence. This opinion extends even to the Emperor himself, though Temor is wise enough not to make that thought known.

He does not engage in petty acts of wanton cruelty and barbarism. This only encourages rebellions amongst the masses, and even the mightiest Rancor can be brought low if enough Ewoks swarm it. He does not kill his slaves and subordinates over minor offenses or failings. That's just wasteful.

Temor often appears unusually calm and self-controlled for a Sith. Even in battle, he seems a silent engine of destruction and death. Many would think him a better candidate for the Jedi than the Sith...but those who think such are fools. Beneathe the calm surface, an inferno of passion burns. But he masters that passion, rather than allow it to master him as most of his fellow Sith do.

That passion does influence him in other ways though. Temor is a supremely prideful creature...something that riled his former Master many times...until Temor killed him. If he has a weakness it is that pride. So strong that when he duels other Sith he often doesn't even bother drawing his lightsaber until they demonstrate enough prowess to make him beleive they're worthy of that honor. His passions also compel him to take many lovers, and he is quite ambitious. He would very much like to take control of the Empire, and purge the ranks of the Sith of all those who's pettiness, stupidity, and unfounded arrogance have prevented them from being able to decisively defeat the Republic and the Jedi once and for all.

Bio/Background:
A born Prodigy. But considering his lineage who could expect less? The Dominar line is one of the eldest and most powerful in the entire Sith Empire, and Temor is regarded as the greatest product of House Dominar yet. Even as a child Temor was determined to prove that beleif beyond all doubt. He turned away from most of the petty distractions that wealth and privilage bring, indulging his passions only to nourish them as the source of his power.

He devoted himself to mastery of the Lightsaber, the Force, and of his own mind, body and will. He spent almost as much time in the library as he did in the training circle. More and more he grew contemptuous of his peers, seeing how they allowed themselves to be ruled by their passions...slaves cloaking themselves in the refinements of masters. True slaves are worthy of greater respect. At least they know their place, and can even attain their own kind of honor so long as they mind that place well. They do not delude themselves into thinking they are more than they are.

Indeed he soon found that the people most worthy of respect through the years were the Imperials he often commanded. The officers, agents, and even the rank and file grunts that made up the body of the Empire. Intelligent, disciplined, ruthless, and driven...traits he found sadly lacking in most Sith. He realized quickly that the only reason the Empire had never definitely crushed the Republic is because of the incompetent and petty buffoons to whom the Empire was beholden...his own fellow Sith. Pouring over military records he saw it time and again. Never spelled out blatantly of course, but if you were smart enough to read ebtween the lines you could not escape the pure truth of it. Time and again defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory because at the pivotal moment some Sith Lord betrayed another. Entire fleets sacrificed to Republic forces because some Sith or another withdrew his forces from the battlefield so that his rival could be humiliated. Failure after failure...all to be layed squarely at the feet of the so-called "Elite" of the Empire.

That was when he decided. He would climb the ranks. Until he was second only to the Emperor himself. He would reshape the Empire. Purge the Sith of incompetence and pettiness. And nobody...not even the Emperor himself if he opposed Temor's plans...would stop him from turning the Empire into the force for galactic dominance and order he knew it could be. He doesn't necessarily want the Throne...he suspects it will be more trouble than it's worth. But if he must become Emperor to finally deliver the Empire to greatness, so be it.

Kdyami

Name: Mingan

Race: Dathomiri/Zabrak

Appearance: Mingan is often found wearing some basic body armor with hood and cloak covering with a seeming unending and varying amount of pockets inside.  The other thing always found with Mingan is his lightsaber; a nearly five foot staff with a blade of maybe one more foot on top, there is a much smaller blade hidden at the other end but is used only for surprise attacks.  the spear handle is made out of Phrik and Mandalorian Iron, making it quite sturdy against lightsaber strikes, as does Mingans ability to create barriers with the force without much thought.

Planet of Origin: Dathomir

Position: Sith Saber

Abilities: mobility/terrain altering (quake, push, pull, barrier, etc) is his specialty along with form 4 Ataru; Teräs Käsi; technologically adept, it is not uncommon for Mingan to build weapons multiple different ways simply to be used in varied applications.  especially noticible in his lightsaber.  on day its two bladed, one day its a single bladed, one day its dual wielded, but his favorite configuration is the spear.

Personality: Mingan relies on a combination of power, strength, and speed. He constantly calls upon the Force to aid in his movements and attacks. By allowing the Force to flow throughout his body, he can overcome his physical limitations.  Mingan is straight forward and action orientated.  He is neither thinker nor a strategiser.  He is a pawn in the larger effort of others, he knows this but he is determined to make his own path and prove that even a pawn can make a difference.

Bio/Background: Mingan was born on Dathomir in an unsanctioned relationship between a Zabrak and a witch.  He was raised in the witches camp with the other males as little better then a slave.  But he learned, and read his mothers books and studied the way of the force on his own. One day he was out in the forest with one of the witches when they discovered a long forgotten Sith holocron. The knowledge leaked out and was too much for the witch, she died as she gazed on.  Mingan looked  and looked and looked with a desire for power and so the holo gave him knowledge.  Mingan began to dig through the remains of the Sith structure and constructed his first lightsaber, which he still carries hiddent today, just in case.

The Witches of Dathomir, is led by a matriarchal figure,  and believes that the combined mind power of the members, working together as a coven,  can get much more accomplished than by means of being alone. Together they rally in securing their territory from those who wish to do harm to their kind. As a warrior society, the Dathomiri Witches trained daily in the art of war, and used both their muscles and the Force to aid them in combat.  He believes in the witches code: "Those who deny themselves emotion will never understand freedom. Those who choose ignorance will never know their own greatness. Those who are consumed with passion, will fail to dominate. Those who fear death will never achieve real power. Never forget that your magic must always be used wisely. Do not fear the darkness that lives within us all, however do not concede to it, lest you will be consumed and become its slave."  But by day he worked as a slave in the Dathomiri camp and by night he would study the holo.

When he had learned all he could from the holo he constructed a beacon to signal the Lost Sith tribes.  Mingan left the planet and never looked back, since then he has continued his studies and earned the rank of Saber. When he heard there were Sith gathering to piece back the Dark Council. Mingan jumped at the opportunity, he left the tribe and made his own way heading for Korriban and the future that awaits him there.

If there's still room, I'd love to join.  I can crank out a character after I get home from work.  I've been itching for a SW roleplay and the one I'm currently in is on hold.

Blobbe

Name: Anrynn Mayadi

Race: Human Cyborg

Appearance:

Planet of Origin: Dromund Kaas

Position: Sith Lord

Abilities: Knolwedge of the Force and its use focusing on martial skills and abilities; master of Juyo Form. Extensive Cybernetics including one eye, one arm and numerous internal implants and enhancements.

Personality: Amongst the Sith, Anrynn is something of an oddity. She is not given to the same power-plays or wanton cruelty as so many others of her kind; rather, she has a sense of honour and a loyalty to the Empire as a whole rather then to her own petty whims or desires or advancement. She believes that the Sith have allowed themselves to become weak and debased, sacrificing the Empire for their own ego and amusement.

However, despite being a more ‘honourable’ Sith, she is not weak or soft by any means. She has no qualms about cutting down the helpless or the unarmed if it serves the goals of the Empire, and believes that those who are unwilling to help themselves are deserving of nothing but contempt. She has no tolerance for the weak, and is not afraid to express those beliefs. However, she will not simply dismiss someone for not being Force-sensitive.

Anrynn is fascinated by technology, especially cyberernetics and computers, but at the same time, she isn’t that interested in the more esoteric or arcane aspects of Sith Lore. By Sith standards, she is surprisingly tolerant of other races, believing that one should be measured on their abilities and not their skin. For all that, though, she has a strange hatred of Twi’leks.

Bio/Background: Anrynn was born on Dromund Kaas, the daughter of nobility. Raised in the lap of luxury, she wanted for nothing and was spoiled rotten by her parents; when they discovered that she was Force-sensitive, they were delighted, seeing her as their way to greater power and influence within the Empire. They did all they could to further encourage and back her, hoping that they could ride off her back.

However, that plan had its failings; a rival Sith saw her as being a threat, and arranged to have her and her family eliminated. A ‘terrorist bombing’ killed all of her family, leaving Anrynn maimed but still alive, wounded but even more driven then before. Rebuilt by Imperial medical science, she was trained in the Korriban academy, striving and excelling in her trials. Attracting the attention of Darth Malignus, an influential lord, she served as his apprentice and hand, going to war against the Republic and other threats to the Empire. At the same time, he also provided her with access to advanced Cybernetics to further augment her abilities.

And then he too was killed, the victim of another petty Sith power struggle. This event gave Anrynn the determination to change the empire, to reform it and end the waste and excesses of the mockery that she felt the Sith had become.

Approved, approved, and approved to KaylaM, Kdyami, and TheRedFear. All really fun and interesting looking characters. :)

To Frelance and Yasarra, your both good to make a character and join, but apart from you two I think we have enough for the time being. Also, we're kinda outnumbered in masters to apprentices at the moment, so if either of you wanted to, making an apprentice would be preferable. Or a non-force user.

As another side note, the game will likely begin sometime later today, when I find some time to make the thread.

Aiden

I might be a little late to the party, but after the smoke clears and you can take another I would like to express my interest.

I am not looking into playing a sith, I would like to bring in a smuggler who is morally grey (so he works for the highest bidder and that is normally the empire).

(Let me know if this will work. Thanks :))

Name: Telen Notay

Age: 20

Race: Clawdite

Appearance: Telen's chosen form and his  true form. So anyone who has access to the training academy's files would know what he is but to anyone else he is just a human.

Planet of Origin: Zolan

Position: Apprentice

Abilities:
-   Force persuasion
-   Basic knowledge of for Telekinesis
-   Adept lightsaber combat
-   Skilled marksmanship that he learned while he was still a smuggler
-   Adept at breaking into systems and adapting technology to meet his needs that was passed onto him from his parents.

Personality: Telen is intelligent and can be as cold and ruthless as he needs to be but will adept to have someones hands end up covered in blood whenever possible. He has killed in the past and even though he does a have a sadistic side he would rather stay out of the spotlight for most of the time.

Bio/Background: Telen was born on board a smugglers ship just a few day after his parents had escaped the ghettos on their home world of Zolan. His child hood was spent learning how to gain control over his ability as a changeling but after he had learnt how to keep one form constantly until his day was finished his parent's teachings slowed down and focused more on meditation and how to ignore distractions as well as dealing with that pain that came from changing.

By the time he was ten he had enough control over his abilities to pass as human so he started working with his parents on the smuggling ship that they had bought with what they had been able to save over the last ten years. He was finally able to explore the ports they traveled to without constant supervision form his parents. He had never been able to go far because he was not in full control of his form.

He noticed that with a select few individuals he was able to convince them to give him much more than the goods he was trading was worth. Other the years the ability grew more powerful. He caught the attention of an imperial agent who witnessed him trying unsuccessfully to bride a customs officer. The agent approached him later and explained what he could gain from going to Korriban and training as a Sith. He left with the imperial Agent a few days later and has been on Korriban training for the last three years.

((Let me know if this needs adjusting.))

Name: Ren'ava Ciajin

Race: Human

Age: 21

Appearance:

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Planet of Origin: Dromund Kaas

Position: Apprentice

Abilities:
Ren'ava has a natural bent for dark rituals and various acts of sorcery, her strength leaning toward lightning mastery, though she has fair skill with healing as well.  She isn't bad with a lightsaber, but it isn't her strong suit.

Personality: Ren'ava tends to joke a lot, or just make smartass remarks.  She isn't big on authority and has very little respect those who try to demand anything of her.  You had better ask, or pray you don't wind up drinking something you shouldn't.  Quick to anger, but not quick to act, Rena'va plans out her attacks whenever possible.  Her temper may be sharp, but she's more Machiavellian than brutal.

Bio/Background:
Ren'ava was born a slave to a Sith house on Dromund Kaas only to be taken in as a very young child by the Mandalorian woman who killed her former owners.  She would be adopted by the one she shot in the leg with a blaster and spent her earliest years (that she could remember) growing up with her adoptive parents on Mandalore, the child of Mandalorian soldiers.  It was a normal life, as Mandalorians went.  Her adoptive parents were farmers between conquests, growing crops in a hydroponic greenhouse facility.  But, when she was thirteen, her life would be pitched upside down once more.

It was time for her rite of passage, her first foray into the battlefield.  She sat aboard a transport ship on her way to a Jedi training ground to try her skill against an apprentice or padawan, whichever they could find.  What she ran into was something entirely different, however.  The first face she saw was that of a Sith known as Darth Venin standing over the carnage he had created.

He turned on the girl, sensing the strength of the force within her and attacked, Force lightning crackling from his fingertips.  Fear and rage boiled within her.  He had interfered with her trial!  This was not acceptable.  Something stirred in her and the blast was deflected to once side with a swipe of her hand.

He was impressed.  No training, and yet this.  Again he tried.  Again, the blow was deflected.  Intriguing.  But, he could also tell that she wasn't at all unaffected by his attacks. She was rocked back a step with each blow, wincing in pain.  The third time would be the charm and the girl crumpled, everything fading to black.  She would wake later on his ship.

This would be his new apprentice.  She endured three years of private training before being sent to Korriban.  Unlike her Master, she showed a distinct aptitude for sorcery.  Her mind was quickly occupied by any text she could find on ancient Sith rituals and history.  She could learn from the mistakes of her predecessors and their triumphs and one day, they would all kneel for her.

Remaining on Korriban, she continues her focused study.  Her Master expects her to join him in Dromund Kaas soon, but she isn't keen on going.  She doesn't trust him.
