Note that, as is the case with most of my games, "evil" characters are as acceptable as "good."

Please include with the concept whether you wish to start at the cave, or elsewhere (you'll be in the same story universe).  I'll give you the option of starting after the "Event," or just before it.

Heh, well, I'm not usually much for playing the bad sorts, I'll admit...

Diana Wingates seemed like your typical 'goth' girl...she got the clothes, the piercings, knew the lingo...but despite her seeming obsession with a subculture she actually possessed a very keen and analytical mind as well as a good dose of street smarts to boot. For a 19 year old girl now caught in a potentially terrifying situation her brains and resourcefulness are all she has to rely on now, with the world turned topsy-turvy. She sure choose a bad time to leave home....

(obviously not starting at the cave, was thinking of starting after the event)

I was thinking maybe two or three days? Enough so that the reality is really settling in, but not so long after that she's gone 100% into survival mode.

I want to join in. Here's my character concept.

Christina Flores, a 20-year-old Latina from a city nearby "the cave." She has the body of a running athlete, but wearing glasses, she has the brains of somebody who stuck their face in encyclopedias all day. She has the ability to keep her cool even when danger presents itself. This ability gets the job done without protest, but she may act without any orders.

She has been on vacation ever since "the event" happened. Now it's time for all the brains to work her way out of this situation.

Sounds like a winner to me.

How many days after the Event do you wish to start?  Do you want your own story arc (thread) or to be placed somewhere you could bump into others?

I guess two days after. I assume the Event is the cause of everybody's disappearance. I'd want to be put in a thread where I can bump into others.

As far as bumping into other PCs, the only fly in that ointment is that you're starting out of sync...the other threads picked up anywhere from six to fourteen days after the Event.  As far as bumping into NPCs, that I can arrange.  :-)

Yes.  The thread with the cavers would be way out of sync with yours.

Absolutely.  I picture her starting at the Event...we could play out the jailbreak and all that follows.  Or she could start where Diana does...maybe be part of that gang.  Your choice...
