Keep using them. They've changed up the design of Canadian money at least three times in my lifetime & you just keep on spending the old ones you've got lying around.

Yup.  Just like the older 'small portrait' US bills are still legal tender.  They'll wear out eventually and be replaced by the US Mint.

If it's issued by the Fed it is legal tender. Unless a law says otherwise I would assume that remains true, even if the design changes.

I've been seeing this topic a lot more and more lately. That the "American Dream is Dead".

In my opinion that sounds like defeatist talk. (I cant think of a better word to put there) The dream isn't dead, its just harder to get to for everyone. But the best things in life are worth suffering for.

Apparently there is a Fungus that is killing off massive amounts of Bananas. To the point that the Cavendish banana we all know and love may be in danger.

Oh this is not new, its been a thing for at least several years or something akin to it i remember hearing this before. Apparently it has to do with how inbred (I am not sure thats the right term for plants?) bananas really are. But apparently there actual variety is extremely low so they are very susceptible to mass diseases and infections and fungus. Or at least thats what i remember reading like..   a good few years ago

South Korea could have done it all on their own a long time ago, but if they did then China would move to aid NK like they did originally during the Korean war. They wouldn't like South Korea taking control of the Peninsula and suddenly having such a large ally to another nation right on their doorstep.

No they are actually kind of semi hostile with Russia there ideas even at the just core level are very different, and China and NK while they do have something like channels are not eye to eye on much

Plus, if South Korea conquered the North they would have to integrate an impoverished population into their nation who know very little about anything outside their country and have been brainwashed for decades. The social and economic costs would be tremendous.
