Hello all! I want to first thank you for taking the time to stop by this little post of mine. I have wanted for a very long time to create a Fables Rp. Now if you are not familiar with the Fables comics or the video game A Wolf Among Us that is OK because while we will be using some examples from both for inspiration we will be creating a whole new story/universe for ourselves. (Exciting right?  ;D)

Any who basically this is going to be about the going on's in a place called FableTown which is a hidden city within the great U.S.A. Manhattan to be exact. In this city various people from fairy tales, myths, legends and folklore interact and mingle. The reason my fine audience as to why we are now located in America is that a DARK, FOUL and Perverse entity known as The Nothing drove us out of our Homelands and has conquered our realm. Not all of the stories made it out alive. Most have been lost to the depths of The Nothing. Protagonists and antagonists alike from all stories have been targeted without discrimination. The Nothing for reasons unknown hates all of us Fables (our race so to speak) and wishes to wipe us all out. Through the means of ancient magic along with the help of the remaining Fables' energy all pooled together we managed to jump into a realm where our lives were nothing but stories for others to enjoy though we find out that the stories in this realm didn't always get things right...because sometimes "happily ever after" just didn't pan out. Here we are forced to hide our true forms and attempt to blend in with the Humans when we dwell outside of our own personal city. All Fables buy the services of The Witches in order to hide their forms in order to avoid the attention of the world around us. Things have changed, we have changed, in a world where alcohol, drugs and sex are all around us as we try to deal with being in a strange new realm, all the while missing our rightful home and the creeping fear of the eventual invasion by The Nothing . Things didn't always work out for the princesses, the villains may not be so bad now, everything has changed and not always for the better. It's a dark cruel world and some habits die hard. Will we try to hold true to our nature or do we let the world and despair corrupt us? It's all up to you. You might see Snow White living the life of a stripper or Beauty having to work 3 jobs in order to help maintain her old life style with her husband. Perhaps Prince Charming is now penniless or maybe little boy blue works at a bar? Rose Red deals in drugs, while Beast is a bouncer for a nightclub the world is ours to create. Have fun and choose wisely. Because something wicked this way comes....

I am looking for a good round number maybe 7+ people? Or if the interest is enough for someone to want to make multiple people (as long as you don't overwhelm yourself) that is cool too. I hope this catches your eye. I have a lot of good ideas and plot twists for our characters so please feel free to send me a pm or post on here. I will give a detailed plot outline once we have our "gang". Feel free to follow my example on the character sheet and post it on here for review. Depending on the character sheet as long as the person (Fable) is some how a part of a myth, legend, story, fairy-tale or folklore then they should be acceptable.

Extra note: Also if possible and if no one minds I need (for plot purposes) 1 female volunteer for my character's love interest (does not mean we hook up right away or that we even start in a relationship right away I know you may want to go try some other Fables before you settle down) and a volunteer for a best-friend male or female, and as a small hint for our first little story arc a volunteer for a person interested in being a Fable that is turning serial....(message me for your interest and I will tell you more details)

Here is my example.

Name: Bigby Wolfe

Appearance (Both fictional and non fictional):

almost full transformation

Occupation: Fable-Town Sheriff

Age: Looks 30 but is actually one of the Oldest Fables around.

Height: 5'11" (in human form)

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities: Heightened Senses, Superhuman Strength, transformation and a few Big Bad Wolf secrets...

Weakness: Silver, High Pitched frequencies

Reputation: Even though he is a changed Wolf...uh..man. Bigby is still remembered with fear, dislike or even hatred for his time as The Big Bad Wolf. Little Red, The pigs and a few other stories...yep it was all him during his darker days. He is seen as an enforcer rather than the Sheriff that he really is. His quick temper and liberal use of violence does little to help people warm up to him. Those that work with him however find that he cares greatly for the well being of the Fables and seeks to redeem himself in their eyes. He is generally treated with caution except for a few who are brave (though foolish) to cross him, or those who see past his gruff exterior.

Bio: For thousands of years Bigby went by the name The Big Bad Wolf. He killed for fun and ruined all he came across. A few times he was driven away by those lucky enough to catch him on an off day but for the most part he was an unstoppable force of nature that was tolerated. Many knights, hunters and warriors fell before his teeth and claws. Bounties from all the kingdoms did little to stir resistance against him. He did what he wanted, when he wanted....but even though he didn't admit it to himself it was a lonely life. As a lone wolf and literally the only one of his kind he had no one in his life. For a long time he was filled with bitterness, longing and anger. It was him against the world. That is until The Nothing came....Then everything changed. Bigby was one of the first to meet The Nothing. Before The Nothing there was not a single foe, enemy or rival that ever struck fear into Bigby's heart.  But meeting The Nothing face to face not only chilled Bigby to his core it forced him to revert into his human form. Something he had never done before. He doesn't remember the meeting only the fact that he ran as fast as possible to warn all the kingdoms and every living thing he met on the way. At first few believed him (who would take the word of The Big Bad Wolf) until reports came flooding in all around the realm. It was chaos everywhere, Fables were being absorbed by this invader, strange twisted and dark beings were attacking every living thing. As a show of his good intentions Bigby volunteered to travel far and wide spreading the news to save as many Fables as possible, to fight the strange twisted creatures that attacked the land and to rescue any Fable the creatures managed to capture. It was during one such raid on captives that Bigby found (Insert name of love interest) and though he kept a new blossoming feeling to himself he knew he found the first person ever to become important in his life. When the Witches asked for power he made sure to give all he could muster, willing every drop he could from his body. Once they landed in the human realm he was unsure of what he should do. Fortunately a job awaited him. He was judged for his past crimes and appointed Sheriff to both punish him and to take advantage of his fighting skills. He was forbidden however to ever use his full powers for fear of him falling back into his old ways. It was a hard job, a thankless job. Many people disliked him, others distrusted him thinking it was strange that he managed to get away from The Nothing when so many failed to escape once it caught them. For the next 10 years he did his best to learn his job but life, depression and the job (because there are some things you can't un-see) slowly caused him to grow jaded and cynical. Still he has a few bright points in his life...

Likes: Meat, Smoking, Drinking, Women, Fighting, and Women. (So yes....sex) :P

Dislikes: Silver, Dog Whistles, Cruelty, Fables that take advantage of other Fables, Law breakers, and Injustice.

(Currently being worked on but here is a rough sheet for now)

Put me down as a male Cheshire Cat! :)

With more interest and as more bios come in, I'll put the effort up to make one myself and cement my interest. :)

Is it possible to reserve a character who has been multiple characters in different guises?

Perhaps slightly inspired by the (much inferior) Once Upon A Time and it's tendency to make one character have served multiple roles, I was thinking of playing the Grand Vizier, a master sorcerer wise in the ways of the Djinn and the magics of men and the gods. A morally questionable character but certainly no Disney Jafar (though at times that was his name), he would have served as the antagonist to Aladdin amongst other 1001 Nights protagonists as well as a guiding figure at times ... but also have traveled much and through many places, at times appearing as clever tricksters or strange wise men.

I also have this strong desire to say he was in the Mundie reason before in his travels and was the historical Rasputin, if that is a thing we can potentially do here.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

Put me down as 234982340234098 kinds of interested.

I'd be down for Snow, or Cindy, or Rapunzel.

Or that Indian fable in Fairest Volume... 3? I can't remember her name right now and I'm too lazy to go over to my bookcase.

Anyways.

Totes interested.

Id be interested in playing the trickster Reynard Fox. But, as long as I am allowed a few liberties. (I just like to add my own quirks to characters, make them somewhat my own or even add to what was originally there.) Id even be willing to make him one of the major players in a villainous sense. Edit: But more so a sympathetic villain, or even antihero.

El Maligno

Von Doom feel free to create a character that has been in more than one "story" as you can see in my character sheet Bigy happens to be the wolf in little red riding hood as well as the wolf in the three little pigs. Another example is that story where the boy cried wolf all the time... Anyways in short any and every story there was a Wolf that was Bigby so feel free as long as youhave an explanation for how and why.

Alix as far as i know those ladies are up for grabs and once you have a sheet for them they will be cemented for you.

Garuss i like the idea and i have read your message i am headingbto work and today once I have time we shall hash out a few ideas but I like your idea a lot.

El Maligno

One small note. Like i said this won't rrally be following the footsteps of the comics or the game maybe a little here and there to ease us in or because it was something i think happened to make for a great story. We will be creating our own little fabke universe. The main "bad guy" is an unknown force I'm calling The Nothing which hates all Fables and is hell bent on wiping us out. Why we have yet to know. If you know the game or comics The Darkness that's more of what we are facing really. I want some thing dark twisted and sadistic coming after us. It will be a huge contrast as our lives from before were almost fairy tale like (as i said before not everyone really did get that happily ever after)

Glad you like the idea man.

Also ya, sort of got that idea but am glad your reiterating it. Makes things clear that this is not the comics, so I dont feel as bad with changing things up on characters. Like, lol, making Reynard Fox more of a antagonist. Any way, below are my characters:

Name: Reynard Fox

Occupation: None: Currently a prisoner in The Farm
Fable: Many fox based fables, including Ausops Fables or western fables based upon the Reynard Cycle. More notably known amoung his fellow Animal Fables, for the tale "The Fox and the Sick Lion."

Age: Looks about 30, but when has age been as it seems in Fable Town?
Faceclaim: Adrian Brody

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities: Heightened Senses,  Known for his Great Cunning.

Weakness: High Pitched frequencies, Arrogance, Easy Attachment (Can easily like or even love someone if he leaves himself to emotionally vulnerable.) Requires a Glamour to fit among humans.

Reputation: Reynard has developed quite the reputation as a trickster, prankster and over all manipulator. As well as being a mentally unstable egotist. And despite his few good deeds, including having saved many of his fable animals. And having lead the animal fables into fleeing into the human world. His bad deeds, outweighed the few good deeds in many Fables eyes. Imprisoning him, for his potential to do harm.

Personality: As with Ausops tale, the Fox and The Grape. Reynard is a man, that does whatever it takes to obtain what he wants. And if he cant achieve it, he will proclaim the 'grapes' sour. As it is always easy to just say, it is bad or spoiled, when you cant get it. Reynard is a shining example, of a Sympathetic villain. Most would say he can even be a hero. He lies, he cheats, he does despicable things but only ever to survive, or do the right thing. Or so he would at least have you think. Reynard as a fox, is a survivor. But he is also selfish, cunning, and dangerous. Even if he has done good things in the past for his fellow animals, he has also done many bad things among them. Leaving mixed opinions about his personal character. Many of which both good and bad is true, though about as much is exaggerated.

Bio: Back in the Homeland there are many villains and heroes but, for the likes of Reynard Fox well.... He lay's somewhere in between. Often things are not as they seem but, he did gain himself a reputation upon deeds both good and terrible. A trickster, pranking others for fun as well as preying upon the ignorance of others for food or resource. It stands to reason that opinions of Reynard the Fox are well... Split. He is known for many tales. But most notably, here are a few. At a younger age, their king of the Valley, Lion had grown old and sickly. Calling upon the other animals, such as Toad, cat, Stork and so on. He told them that if they can tell him their greatest deeds, an animal among them will become the new king. However, Fox was clever. Waiting only to see, that paw prints always appeared to enter... But never leave. Fox warned the animals, and ever since none would enter. Letting their, 'king' die of hunger. Reynard would later be named King of the Foxes. And later on in his life, would help his fellow Animal fables flee from the Nothing. Cleverly tricking the nothings creatures that he would help them kill the Animals of the Valley for the scraps of his fellows. In the valley, there was a legend about Christmas pies miraculously appearing. He told the creatures that for three days, they should cook as many pies as they could and leave them for the inhabitants of the valley to feast upon out of ignorance. On the fourth day, they were to cook rocks into the pies so the animals would be too slow to flee. And on the fourth day, they all waited around a grove for the animals to eat the pies. Meanwhile, the animals, led by Reynard, escaped to find Sanctuary among the rebels of their world. Cooking the pies was nothing more, then a baseless distraction. Reynards good deeds were undeniable, but so were his bad. He was known for his trickery, ego and even known for out right murder. After fleeing into the mundane world of humans, the other Fables agreed that for his past deeds he should be imprisoned. As he stands as a danger to their way of life. Later on, when the farm was created he was taken to it. To live among criminals, as well as other Fables that can not afford a Glamour and appear human.

Likes: Many Luxuries, especially including fine dinning. (After all living as a scavenger leaves one gluttonous for finely serviced meals and leaves one to enjoy the pampering of others.) Enjoys tricking or outsmarting others, for many reasons. Could be the means of a good laugh or feeding his already inflated ego. It could also be to put some one he finds to be mean, evil or crude in their place. (Such as a figure of power, strength and totalitarian authority.) And yes, more often then not his trickery is a means of survival and self sufficiency. He also enjoys fulfilling his carnal desires, however he is more so a romantic at heart. (Thus a loyal lover.)

Dislikes: High pitched noises, like whistles. Stupidity, nothing makes him more annoyed or enraged then profound stupidity. Being embarrassed, humiliated or outsmarted. (Takes massive offense to being outsmarted!) And Wolves. Especially his arch nemesis, Insengram the Wolf. (Whom has for some time been unaccounted for.)

Name: Woody Garland. (AKA the Woodsmen from Red Riding hood, and Huntsmen from Snow White.)

Occupation: Deputy/ Former drunkard

Age: Appears around 40
Faceclaim: Chriss Hemsworth

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single, known for alchohol giving him a temper as well as it giving him abusive tendencies. that reputation makes him very much unnatractive as a partner.

Abilities: Like any fable he is resilient, with a minor healing factor. Although much like Bigby he has shown to be much more resilient then most, healing easily from even a two story fall. He is physically strong, and a good fist fighter, allowing him to over power most. However if beings like Bigby were to move into any of their bigger or stronger forms he can easily find himself outmatched. His only real asset as a fighter is his Ax. Which has some mystical qualities, such as giving Woody an almost symbiotic and emotional connection with it.

Weakness: He is as mortal as your common fable. He can take twice the beating as one but, in the end he can still die just as easily. Well... As easy as it is to kill a fable. (Which in the end is pretty difficult without chopping off a head.) Weak minded; Woody is a recovering drunkard, driven by the guilt of his bastard past and the pain of being a hero who doesn't deserve his renown.  His will is somewhat weak as a result. Meaning he can easily be manipulated by a clever tongue, especially when ones words utilizes Woody's own guilt, Empathy for others or his care for his own friends. Further he has little mental resistance to mind based spells.

Reputation: Hailed as a hero back in the Homeland for facing the likes of Bigby, and refussing to kill Snow White. Now a days, he does have a reputation as a drunkard and mean bastard. However, since he has become Bigby's deputy he has gone nearly sober, even loosing a lot of his attitude. Even then, there is kind of a stigma against him for much of his past actions. Leaving him socially as a washed up hero.

Personality: At first glance, The Woodsman seems to fill in the role of the stereotypical town drunk; he is seldom sober, he is violent and impulsive, and is without a qualm in his beating of others. However, since he has become the Deputy of Bigby, he does show some signs of intelligence and rationality. Woody can be honest and direct to people when he admits that he did something wrong, he is also sympathetic and helpful. He recognizes that he can be an ass hole, he even dislikes a lot of the wrong that he has done. Hell, he is even up front to very close friends, that he first intended on robbing Little red's grandma, he only found Bigby there and fought him out of impulse. He no longer drinks as much, and tries not to be as aggressive as his past has shown. But this new found sobriety does not eliminate the stigma he has grown among his fellow fables. However, the newfound respect he has for his former rival Bigby, and his willingness to be a better man are undeniable. Right now he is trying to live up to his fame, do the right thing and prove;if not to others, then himself. That he is a hero.

Bio: Under construction

Likes: Alcohol, though in a very limited amount these days. His past of literally drowning himself in booz are over, and was only due to hating himself for being revered as a hero, when really he was just a selfish guy in the right place at the wrong time- A good brawl. He honestly loves fighting, it's fun and it allows him to unleash his darker side. At least now days he fights at the side of the law, and with a bit more self control. - Snow white.... He wont lie, he has kind of a fondness for her. He did end up with Little red for some time after saving her but really, he always was infatuated by Snow. She was sweet, beautiful, and didnt deserve to die. It's why in spite of possibly the best pay day he would ever dream of, he let the girl live. She may not be as uh... Sweet, and naive as when he first met her but she is still just as beautiful. Hed never give himself the illusion of him and her being together but he would always enjoy her company, as well trust her judgement, even blindly so.

Dislikes: Scumbags. A really asinine thing to say but, people that are truly mean, despicable or feckless make him mad because to him it is like a mirror to his past. Abuse and violence towards women. He has admittedly, been very rough to the dames. It was mainly out of a short temper, and near constant drunken stupor. In reality he is very empathetic, and doesn't like it when others hurt women.

Smokeyes

Since I couldn't find any mention of the snake from the garden of Eden,( thought she would make an interesting character) I wondered if you had room for the Coyote? I'll hash out some details for consideration as soon as I've thought it through a little more,I am heading in the direction of feisty ,cunning ,self preserving but with an underlying desire to encourage the people she is closest to fulfill their greatest potential.

It kiiiiinda overlaps with Reynard the fox. Strongly so. I'm not the GM, but if you propose a character I'd make sure they are distinctly different to the other character who stems from the trickster animal archetype.

Ooooo I'm very interested, are there positions available? If so I'd like to stake a claim of the role of Rapunzel or perhaps Ariel really.
I'd be taking from the old Grimm tales, so no doubt they'd be an bit twisted but fun to play out.

Lustful Bride

Name: Goldilocks "Goldy"

Appearance (Both fictional and non fictional):

Occupation: Works at the '1001 Nights' bookstore.

Age: Looks to be in her early 20s to late teens but stopped keeping track after the American Revolution.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.

Relationship Status: Single (Begrudgingly)

Abilities: Learned how to survive in a forest thanks to the Bears, became a hunter for some time.

Weakness: Lethal injuries, losing her glasses, does not have as much cardio as she used to. An absolutely terrible liar.

Reputation: Since she works at a bookstore most people think of her as a bookworm and sometimes a gossiper when she just cant help herself. Some even joke that she could probably be knocked over by a slight summer breeze, but The Bears and a few others know her as a survivor. For three days she carried a bear cub on her back while n the run from the Nothing, having lost her home and family (aside from the Bears) and yet had the strength to keep going through the hardest of journeys.

Bio: Most people think that the relationship between Goldi and the Three bears either ended with her running off and never seeing them again, or being eaten, after they found her in their beds. In fact the story was quite different, she did end up running away, but returned to them out of curiosity many times, watching the bears in their home and how much like people they acted. Taking a chance she eventually visited them once more. Luckily the bears were less than savage, and even welcoming to little Goldilocks, and so she began to visit them constantly, playing with the young cub and even caring for him as she grew older. Thanks to her relationship with them the Bears taught her how to find the best food from the forests, and even other friends in it like the bird Cock Robin, who would later come to warn her when The Nothing came.

All her life Goldi lived with her mother and father in a small cottage in the woods, away from the town since her father usually hunted animals or cut down trees to sell the woods. Her parents just thought that her tales of talking bears were just her imagination, and sadly if they had heeded her words and come with her when she visited the bears on their final day of life, they might have survived. Goldi herself only survived because Robin told her she had to visit the bears, because they were packing up to leave. This one act saved her life that day. For the Nothing had arrived and was passing right through.

For three years Goldilocks lived with the Three Bears and other forest animals, hiding from The Nothing, until the forest itself was set ablaze in order to root out the survivors, they joined up with a mass of fleeing refugees and after another year or hardship they heard tales of a mundane magicless world where the Nothing did not exist, and ventured forth with many others to find it. Goldi now lives in New York but from time to time will go up into the catskills to visit the bears who have their own little home in a cave. She just tries to make it day to day and pretend that there isn't a force of evil out there looking for them.

Likes: Meat, sodas, books, comics, spending time taking care of Baby Bear. Simple things really.

Dislikes: People who bother her while reading. Rude people, those who liter and don't respect nature. The Nothing.

I think we should probably mention that people can play as fables not just from European tales but from all over, in case they want to play as some South American, fables or etc. So people can play from all over :P

El Maligno

Bride that is a good point. If you did not get my meaning in the first post i made on this thread let me say it again. If the character is from ANY sort of story legend folktale myth or some other obscure format. As long as you can make a sheet and the person is not OP you can be whatever you want to be. I don't care if you choose to be Slenderman as long as you maybe trim his powers a bit and give a good reason for why you choose him.

Name: Madeline Adams

Story: Rapunzel

Appearance:

Fictional-

Non Fictional-

Occupation: Shot girl

Age: Appears 24

Height: 4'11

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities:The traits Madeline is skilled within is being quite flexible, using her lithe build to her advantage as she is quite fast on her feet. Apart from that her long hair does have some healing qualities, although there is no real process it has been proven to heal wounds when she sings, though it is not an perfected art.Along with her singing ability Madeline is also quite the skilled seamstress, often seen with needle and thread in her pockets or hemming articles of clothing to mend for extra money on the side.

Weaknesses:Madeline is about 4'10 as her short stature makes some things difficult for her, as she is an slim little creature and over all not very assertive. Along with her physical abilities that of an normal being, her emotional state is one that is teetering. She keeps many things within as there are moments where she does explode, but otherwise comments or toying with herself can result in Madeline hesitating.

Reputation:Madeline is one who usually doesn't mind what others think, as the world around her is something new and she wishes only to experience everything. Her life has been one of isolation, as the time spent alone has only made her live her life to the fullest; but things are never that easy are they? Although down on her luck in both her romantic life as well as actual life, Madeline does not let it show. Rather she keeps an upbeat attitude, showing her curiosity and innocence, as sometimes it gets her into situations she shouldn't be in. Some think she is much too naive for her own good, but her good nature comes from an caring place, as she does all that she can in order to make those around her happy even if she goes to the ends of the earth to do so.

Bio: Not all princesses were lucky, that what was written on the pages were the whole entire truth; this was Rapunzel's case as her tale was far from what was shown. Her life had been one of lies and isolation, the young maiden unaware of her true life much less the truth as she hardly considered herself an prize to be sought. To be used and control was an cruel fate the naive woman only knew, as only with her prince was she made aware of just how sad her life truly was. He brought her such love, so much wonder, an excitement of the world outside she had all but missed out on. So many promises were made and yet this was where her story drifted from that printed. Rapunzel indeed was cast out from her tower by the only motherly figure she knew, that the reveal of her prince has been merely an slip of the tongue. What the story did not tell however was how her mother scorned her captive child, cutting away her flowing locks to marr her beauty, that the fooling of the prince actually never happened.

No the maiden at once rushed to her love as Mother Gothel had claimed her lengthy locks as her only prized possession, but unaware to Rapunzel her love was no as welcoming to the sight of the maiden as she was. Rather he shunned her away, her looks having been compromised to leave her discarded by the only person in her life she had left in this world. Heart broken and lonely Rapunzel went into hiding, the maiden clutching onto her sadness as she found the magical quality of her hair beginning to regrow with little effort; but alas it was too late. Although the once golden splendor had grown back almost magically, there was an stark difference to behold. Just once like the drops on an shinning sun had become white like ivory, an symbol of her navitity as her brillant hair made her an easy target to spot. The Nothing had seen to the destruction of all that she had once knew and hoped for, the maiden escaping with only herself as her woes began to grow. There was nothing but darkness when Rapunzel woke to find herself in an strange world, not knowing how she came to be but she would soon settle herself and begin her life once more; but this time she would not allow others to rule her life...she would do all she could to make her own life for herself..

Somehow.

Ok, just finished Woody's bio. Plus, as a result to Goldy Locks Bio I did change Reynards a bit to reflect a few things, so I made my Bio fit with Goldy's. ^^ I actually like how it changed things. Pluss I took the opportunity to add details to Reynards personality, which is always nice. XD

Even if Reynard the Fox is portrayed as a ruthless villain, it is actually inconceivable that he should ever be regarded as anything but the waggish rogue who above all exposes a thoroughly rotten society rooted in authority and power. Does he not demonstrate the age-old truth that evil can only be countered with evil?

Meanwhile, the animals, led by Reynard, were still well on their way to fleeing. However the creatures had seen through Reynards trickery, realizing that cooking the pies was nothing more, then a baseless distraction. Enraged, the creatures of the Nothing began setting the forest's of the Valley ablaze. Hoping to catch the innocent creatures within a fiery doom. Many were lost... But if not for Reynards trick buying them time, many more would have died. And with Reynards knowledge of the Valley, along with the bravery of a little girl, he managed to lead the rest of the animals to a hasty escape. Finding Sanctuary among the rebels of their world, still trying to keep the Nothing at bay.

Bio: In a world of Fables, filled with heroes, it stands to reason that some are over bloated tales. Where the Hero might not be so heroic, and the people chant for a man who does not deserve it. Such is the sad tale of Woody. Woody grew up in a harsh environment, a drunken father and abusive mother. It stood to reason he would grow up with few skills to call his own, becoming a Woodsmen like his father and his father before him. A tough job, that paid very little. Because of a harsh upbringing, it was easy for Woody to look upon short cuts as a means to an end, a easy way to an easier life...  He was well known for his temper, for drinking and was even accused of being a thief. Never prooven, but it was true. He did steal, he did do shady jobs. Much of which to this day he regrets... It was not until far late in his life, that his story as a 'hero' began. It started with an evil queen. She needed some one unknown, a random rogue known for violence and shameful acts. She needed a feckless coward who would take money for anything, even murder. She of coarse never intended on letting him go, he was to be her scapegoat. The murderer of her step daughter, tried and hung swiftly for robbing and killing a poor defenseless girl. But when it came down to it, he just didnt have it in him. A drunk he may be, a bastard even. But he couldnt kill something so sweet. Her name was Snow, and in ignorance she was kind to the stranger she met on the side of the road.... He played along, played nice and was kind to her in turn. Thinking he was just going to get nice and close. But, he didnt have it in him! He in fact broke down, warning the girl of her stepmothers treachery. Telling her she should flee.

He wouldnt know what came of her for many years, all he knew was that well... He was now on the run. One day, while hiding out in the woods he came upon a cottage. Upon inspection he learned it belonged to a frail old women. He put it in his head, that he had to steal from them. He needed the money, he neded to keep moving. So the next evening, while the old lady slept he would come in, steal from her and just go. Little did he know that when he entered, a Wolf would be there. The Big Bad Wolf! It was scary, but out of impulse he fought the beast. Gutting him right open, he pulled the old cogger and her young grand duaghter right out. Filling his belly full of stones and throwing the beast in the nearby river. Well, of coarse it didnt end the beast. The wolf came out no worse for ware, a testament to it's resilience when compared to other beasts. But ever since he was declared a hero. He was renowned as the Woodsmen, the man who slayed the Wolf.  Even when Bigby turned back up, Woody was respected. Even eventually becoming known for sparring the beautiful Snow White. But Woody knew the truth... Even when he married the young girl he saved, Woody knew he was nothing more then a coward and thief. He just never told any one. He was admittedly abusive towards Red, but his marriage to her was nothing more then a reminder of what a lie he really was. To this day now, he regrets the way he has acted and treated others. He was only ever hurt by the praise he got from others, praise he knew he didnt deserve. Now he is just trying to do right by the people of Fable town. And if possible, get some forgiveness from his ex, Red. Maybe even find the courage to tell Red, Snow, even the rest of the fables the truth about his past.

Magniel-Dame: Ya pretty much. I dont think there is many Disney characters that are not from Fables, myth or legend. Hell even the lion king is based on a African Fable.

Nala from the Lion King.

Nala sounds awesome! Lol, a Lioness? Cool, and sexy. Just let me know if you want her to at all be familiar or even know Reynard. Seeing as they are both Animal Fables. Reynard himself is quite intimatly familiar with Lions, ha ha. Seeing as he has dealt with a Lion as the King of the Valley for quite a long time. And even, in my version, warned animals of their kings trick and let the king die of hunger. (As in the story, The Fox and the Sickly Lion.)

Maligno: Oh dont you worry, Dame typically does good. Im certain Nala will be very well woven in. :D

El Maligno

Since there seems to be a great number of females as well as a good deal of interest in the story I shall be making another character. Trust me we can NEVER have too many females.....oh no sir we can never have ENOUGH :P

wander

Wow, things hit off since yesterday! xD

I will for sure tomorrow when more refreshed and it's less late get in Cheshire for your purview! I'll be doing him a bit OC, as the original version was located at the Farm for not having Glamour to become human, my version of course will be able to achieve human form and lets him bi to open up more naughty scenes, though I can see we have a couple of nice looking ladies already with more coming in.  ;D

Finally home. I'm going to go through a few face claims until I find the perfect Nala.

Ah, it's more specific this time. Do we absolutely have to have a real person image? It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when it comes to content based on drawn material.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

I dont think you absolutely have to no, so your probably fine with just Drawn. I tend to feel the same way typically, but I understand some people just prefer rl and some just prefer drawn so in most groups I tend to just use both. Pleases both mindsets.

Here we go. Sadly lost the style I intended to write it in at some point into the Bio. I somehow managed to find a real photo I don't mind, so that's there. The actual character image I intended is still WIP, because it needs an edit before I can put it to use.

Name: The Grand Vizier/Rashid
Many. Fables call him 'The Vizier', some call him Ja'far, others Imhotep. It is said only his two closest daughters, whom he holds dear, know his true name. His most often used identity in the Mundie World is Rashid Harun al-Hikma, in honor of his old friend Harun al-Rashid and the House of Wisdom he built.

He was once known in the Mundie World as the Mad Monk Rasputin, over a century ago, and may have posed or actually been other legendary historical figures.

Occupation:

Functions in Fable Society:
Legal Consultant and Representative
Mediator
Patron of the Arts
Provider of Magical Services

Functions in Mundane Society:
Business Counselor
Political and Legal Advisor

Fable: The Grand Vizier Jafar (1001 Nights Frame Story, advising role)
Unnamed sorcerer and his brother (Aladdin, antagonistic role)
Grand Vizier (Aladdin, antagonistic role)
Duban (The tale of the vizier and the sage Duban, protagonist role)
Ja'far ibn Yahya (The Three Apples, The Tale of Attaf; protagonist role)
Koschei the Deathless (The Death of Koschei the Deathless, antagonistic role)
Age: Ancient. Currently looks in his forties most of the time, but subtly ages his appearance when he acts as an advisor.
Height: 1,78m
Faceclaim: Khaled Nabawy

Sexual Orientation:
Bisexual (prefers feminine beauty, regardless of actual sex and/or gender). Polygamous.

Relationship Status:
Complicated. Currently unattached romantically, but married, divorced and widowed many times over.  Some famous Fables are of his descent. Most notably, Dunyazad and Scheherazade are his daughters.

Abilities:
Of the wise men in the court of the caliph Harun al-Rashid, praised be his name, Ja'far was the wisest, the most cunning and learned. He held many secrets and wonders. He was wise in the magics and sorceries of men, of djinn and of gods. His appearance changed as easily as the flow of a rivulet. He could be young and strong, he could be old and wrinkled, he could even be man or woman if he so desired. The spirits of the Earth heeded his call, for he knew their names, and even those of the elements. It is said he even possessed the secret of immortality and had tried to share it with his great friend, the caliph, but could not.

Archetypal Vizier: Rashid is the most prominent Fable-Advisor in existence, serving in that function in some manner for thousands of years since he was first named Imhotep. He is a polymath learned in many things, an architect (the first, according to some), engineer and physician. An alchemist, a priest, a politician, hero and villain (more so since his almost slanderous portrayal in Disney's Aladdin). Though his incarnation as Imhotep was eventually deified, he has no divinity to claim, but all that he was and is combined makes him close to becoming a fundamental archetype. It does leave him somewhat more vulnerable to fates, popular presentations and repeat patterns than others.

Sorcery: The Grand Vizier is a sorcerer of great skill and experience. His specialties are glamors, spirit magic and elemental sorcery, though his workings are not limited to such.

He has a particular facility with glamouring magic and may modify his own, which he maintains at all times despite it usually mirroring his true appearance, at a whim.

He can command lesser spirits and may speak to and implore greater ones to serve him in exchange for repayment. He can conjure flame, use earth magic to bolster himself and others, wind magic to travel in the air and water magic to heal and purify.

Immortality: Though a very popular Fable to begin with, he has gained actual immortality by locking his true heart into a secret chest, which he has hidden as described under Possessions and Resources. The process is dangerous and cannot be replicated except under very rare circumstances. He can be truly killed only by piercing that heart, though extensive damage to his body is still a great hindrance and being swallowed by the Nothing would still be his end.

He used to possess a magic ring that called a wish-granting djinn for him, but the spirit was lost to the Nothing when he called on it to vanquish the threat. The ring on his finger is now useless.

Important Possessions and Resources:
QuoteThe Golden Palace - Though he had no palace or castle to bring with him, the Grand Vizier used his quickly gained wealth and own sorcery to craft himself a large and beautiful palace where he and his servants as well as his sister-daughter Sharazad live, hidden behind the closet doors of his consulting office. Within it grows a branch that was taken from the Cypress of Keshmar before they were forced to flee the Homelands.

Deep within its labyrinthine dungeons lies a vast desert, within which lies a pyramid, within which lies an actual labyrinth protected by old spirits within which lies a puzzle box within which he has hidden his true heart.

A magic working woven through the Golden Palace allows Sharazad to more easily weave her stories into reality inside its halls, within the limited framework that they have defined so as to not disturb the main building structures and its protective spells -- It holds nearly as many of those and obfuscating ones as the Fabletown office itself -- and the secret pyramid center more even than that.

QuoteFaridah (NPC)

Occupation: Farid's PA
Age: Mid-Thirties, exists since the dawn of Fable-Baghdad
Sexual Orientation: Humanoids. Very focused on oral since it holds special dom/sub/trust significance for her due to her ghul-ish eating habits.
Relationship Status: Maintains casual intimacy with a number of lovers.

Bio:  Rashid's personal assistant, a female ghul. She is a lesser shapeshifting demon who used to terrorize the deserts and feast upon unsuspecting humans in the shape of a bestial hyena until she was captured and imprisoned. Being offered the opportunity to save herself from the Nothing if she would abandon her monstrous ways and take a civilized form, she accepted and has since served as a loyal retainer. She maintains the shape of a beautiful Arabic woman, but prefers to wear a suit while she works. She now satisfies her inhuman appetites with the occasional extra-bloody steak.

Abilities: As a demon, she can change her form to many terrifying or pleasing shapes and possesses supernatural physical attributes -- toughness, strength, speed and ferocity all well above your average Mundie. When in her true form, these increase with her size and she also gains a deadly poisonous bite.

As a PA, she can fulfill any and all duties a secretary would and also acts as a chauffeur, bodyguard and valet.

The Staff of Wadjet - A staff that can transform into an intelligent venomous cobra of variable size that understands human speech. It can serve as a guard, assassin or spy. The staff may also be used to put the weak-minded into a suggestive hypnotic state.

Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar - A sword from Persian legend, it was specifically made to be the only thing that can hurt the demon Fulad-zereh. When worn it serves as a charm against magic and the wounds it inflicts do not heal easily. It is the Grand Vizier's preferred weapon.

The Ring of Wishes - Now useless, but worn as a reminder. Once allowed to summon a djinn servant, but the powerful spirit was consumed by the Nothing.

The Cup of Jamshid - A cup filled with an elixir of immortality , the surface of which reflects the whole world. It can be used as a tool of divination, similar to the Magic Mirror, but holds no thoughts or personality of its own.

The Sword Kladenets - The self-swinging sword from Russian legend. It will guide an unproficient wielder's movement and may leap to fight on its own on command.

The Bottled City - Stolen from a powerful dream-spirit, The Bottled City holds a preserved reflection of Baghdad in its Golden Age. If you look closely, you can almost see it moving.

Weakness:
Though wise, the Grand Vizier has an innate desire for more knowledge and power that sometimes blinds him and makes him act against his better knowledge. He can be dismissive and even aggressive towards those reaching beyond their station and strongly believes in an outdated caste system.

He still longs for what he considers the golden age and has become a more bitter and resentful man for it. If past transgressions against others were incidental or part of the societal system at best, he is now primarily out for his own gain -- his pride as a vizier does not allow him to advise others badly, but if he can profit as well, he will favor such options and approaches and may simply choose not to help those he would not profit from.

His heart, if discovered.

Reputation: Steadfast and unshakable as a truly faithful and wise advisor with those who knew him as Grand Vizier or Imhotep and still good with those he encountered in his early adventures. After Baghdad, he was more bitter and was experienced as a cunning and wise but troubled and often disagreeable man.

At current, his reputation is questionable -- if approached he can be relied upon to deliver, with pretty much anything, but his ways have become callous, selfish and the favors he asks in return may be more steep than any monetary payments.

Bio:

Accounts of Fable-Baghdad strongly inspired by Neil Gaiman's Ramadan. Praise of characters and location within not to be taken as self-aggrandizing, it's just how these things are told.

In Fables, time does not flow as it does in the Mundie World, but surely the tale of Imhotep is one of the oldest. Born a commoner, he rose to become the chief advisor -- the Vizier -- to the Pharaoh Netjerikhet and was also the head priest of Rah, the sun god. In those days, all priests were sorcerers after a fashion and so was he, calling the flames of the sun down onto the Earth. After his death, it is said that, like the great Pharao, he became a god.

But Imhotep did not die. The tomb he had constructed was in truth a ritual chamber  within which he invested himself with immortality and, thought dead, went on to journey to places that others dared not dream of.

Many adventures and wonders did he see -- tales of great love, magics great and powerful, heroes and villains and deeds so grand they would be persist forever -- but one age, one golden age and one perfect city, where the sun forever shone and the streets were full of adventure, mysteries and wonder, is where he truly was at home.

This city was the jewel, the perfect city that would forever be remembered even when it was but a pale shadow of its fabled splendor. It was Baghdad.

There, he was Ja'far ibn Yahya. He was chief advisor and trusted friend to the caliph, Harun al-Rashid, who was the greatest caliph who ever lived and with whom he had many adventures. Because the caliph was his friend, like he, Ja'far had many wives and beautiful young men to attend him and ease his worries, beautiful and gentle and beyond compare -- except when held against the harem of the caliph himself, whose wives and pretty male companions were doubly so.

He also had two daughters. Scheherazade and Dunyazad, both beautiful and beyond compare. Beautiful enough that Scheherazade became the wife of King Shaheryar, who was the king of kings and ruled all of Persia. But that is another story of stories, one in which Ja'far plays many parts and that would take a thousand and one nights to tell in full.

Far more important was the matter of a beggar, a thief and vagabond, whose name was Aladdin. The vizier in his wisdom knew of a cave that held within a wonderful oil lamp that would grant wishes. Though he himself possessed a ring of similar quality, he knew that there was great danger in such power in the wrong hands and that his hands, those of the Grand Vizier, were the best to wield it.

The cave was trapped and very dangerous. The vizier feared that even his spell of immortality might not protect him and thus he sought out someone to secure the lamp for him. Someone who would gladly risk his life in exchange for better station and wealth. He found Aladdin.

Aladdin, however, discovered the true power of the lamp -- Ja'far, cunning Ja'far, had accounted for the possibility and trapped him inside the cave rather than leave him free to roam with a wish-granting djinn at his disposal, but Aladdin used a wish to break free. He stole the daughter of Harun al-Rashid, who had been engaged to Ja'far's own son, with another and in one fell swoop named the Grand Vizier villain and betrayer.

The Golden Age of Baghdad was ended. The Vizier despaired of this and found little solace when he went to advise the kings who had married his daughters.

Thus he traveled again, alone and without his dear friend, for centuries and to the most distant parts of the world, even to a bleak place where there were no wonders or magic and where he was briefly known by the name Rasputin before he returned to more fantastic places.

The Nothing was a threat he had not, could not have, foreseen. His magic proved ineffective, his djinn was swallowed and only flight remained as an option. Though loathe to be forced into action, he assisted in the grand spell to open a portal into the Mundie World -- having been there once already, his assistance was critical, but once there he declared no desire to join in the Witches' circle. He had served others loyally for long enough, now bereft of all wonder in this dreary, grey world he would be his own master.

Skilled in matters of finance, ruling and (eventually, as modern laws were strange and often senseless) law, he was one of the few to immediately start working with mundies and started to build up an entirely new fortune. He offers perfectly servicable glamors as well as advice to Fables in need of them and, instead of payment like the Witches and government demand, asks for 'friendship' and favors in return.

His assistance was instrumental in setting down the laws of Fabletown, but as a result he is intimately familiar with them -- so far, any challenges to his glamour production, which by all accounts should be illegal, were swiftly argued away on account of adhering to all proper protocols and procedures (as in part defined by him).

Likes:
His two favorite daughters, Harun al-Rashid, people intelligent and sensible, people aware of their station, Homeland artifacts and wonders from past ages, having reliable servants, polygamy

Dislikes:
Aladdin, foolishness, lawbreakers, being questioned, the Mundie World, the Witches (for they meddle with things without truly understanding them), being tricked

Relations:

Name Bigby Wolf
Played By: El Maligno
Character's Thoughts: "His human skin still fits ill after all these years. For now he is an instrument of justice and is due the appropriate respect, but -- as loathe as I am to quote this old cliché -- for all his well-hidden cunning and godly power, he remains an unwashed brute."
Possible Connection: Rashid was an instrumental part in creating the Compact, so law enforcement and law expert naturally have some connection -- depending on the instance, Rashid could very well serve as either accuser or defense in a court. If Bigby also does more shady spying and secret ops business to protect Fabletown as in the comics, Rashid could also be involved there -- as a sponsor, as 'off the books' arcane support or to provide planning, logistics and support. After all, they're both intent on Fabletown's continued safety and in some manner lawkeepers. There is also the matter of Bigby suspecting him, but as long as he does nothing against actual Fabletown law, Rashid sees no reason to fear the wolf.

Name Evil Queen/Alexandrai Grimhilde
Played By: CurvyKitten
Character's Thoughts: "Long ago, I might have condemned her wicked and sought to have her replaced with a more proper ruler -- but things are different now. She is an able sorceress and an intriguing woman. While I would not name her rival, she is a point of curiosity. Certain arrangements could be made to mutual benefit."
Possible Connection: Having connections, alchemic skill and a magical castle in which to grow herbs that mundane earth might not support, he may well be able to provide rare ingredients that she needs. As far as I can tell, she's not part of the 13th Floor, so an alliance (perhaps for the purpose of casting cloaking and protection spells to resist their efforts) might be sensible. As rich Fables, they might also have some financial interaction -- but they probably both have people for that.

Name Goldilocks
Played By: Lustful Bride
Character's Thoughts: "I recall she works in a certain bookstore I eventually intend to purchase, if only for the nostalgia of its name. Other than that, we haven't spoken."
Possible Connection: The nostalgic name has Rashid interesting in acquiring her shop, which means he could potentially become her employer.

Name Gretel
Played By: Timeless
Character's Thoughts: "An oddity -- her abilities are unusual and almost as outlandish as her brother's. But more importantly, she has interest in and some skill with witchcraft. While mercenaries are ever second choice to loyal agents, she should prove useful."
Possible Connection: As a patron -- while he seems to hold little respect for her brother, Gretel he is pleasant enough with and would be amendable to giving instruction on arcane matters if approached -- in exchange for future favors or services rendered, of course.

Name Hansel
Played By: TheBlackThrone
Character's Thoughts: "… is he truly Fable? He seems more in line with this modern 'super hero' mythology -- if it wasn't for the ridiculousness of it all. Potentially useful, but best dealt with through his sister."
Possible Connection: May also serve as a patron for Hansel's mercenary work, but prefers to deal with his sister.

Name Hunter
Played By: TheHangedMan
Character's Thoughts: "Hmm? Oh, yes, him. Skilled man, but it is rare that you need a hunter in Fabletown. He might make for a good agent to send after rogue Fables if necessary, but tradition dictates that these types shy away from murder -- as our good Miss Snow would know."
Possible Connection: As the most skilled hunter in Fabletown, Rashid may have had people (possibly Faridah) approach him about purchasing rare meats.

Name Lake/Lady of the Lake/Vivian
Played By: Caela
Character's Thoughts: "A powerful spirit -- or perhaps minor goddess. She seems content in her new role, but we shall see how long it takes until she needs must follow her nature and declare another true king. Her spa is pleasant enough."
Possible Connection: A chooser of kings and an advisor of kings, it's highly likely that, if she is older than Arthurian myth, they may have run into each other. He occasionally visits the spa.

Name Merlin
Played By: El Maligno
Character's Thoughts: "How far the mighty can fall. He served a function similar to my own in the Arthurian cycle, could perhaps have taken my mantle if I ever was to depart from this realm, but no more. Not hardened, but broken by the Nothing -- still, he may yet prove useful."
Possible Connection: Business associates, would buy up any magical trinkets Merlin is willing to sell. Might visit and sit with him to try and profit from his insights, but is reluctant to do so out of distaste for what he has become.

Name Nala
Played By: La Dame en Noir
Character's Thoughts: "A queen lioness? Interesting -- though she seems content with her current lot, I sense ambition. Perhaps it could be fostered."
Possible Connection: None in particular occur -- Rafiki is a distinct fable of his own and would be odd to include in the Grand Vizier, so he wouldn't have advised any of the Lion Kings relevant to her. He wouldn't frequent a bar, either -- but Faridah might. Especially if she also serves food. Between glamored lion and shapeshifted ghul , they might share a fondness for raw steak.

Name Nalayani the Loyal
Played By: Alixandre
Character's Thoughts: "Ah, Nalayani. One of her aspects -- do the others even realize, I wonder? Our paths have crossed at times, over the millennia. Now … well, now I can say I am glad that at least one person works in law enforcement who knows how to conduct herself professionally."
Possible Connection: They are both ancient and would have encountered each other before Rashid grew bitter -- since he respects her greatly, he will attempt to act more like his old self in her presence, when he can.

Name Oberon
Played By: Juggtacular
Character's Thoughts: "Time is of varying consequences to Fables -- and ever more so for the Fae and thus their king. I sought out Oberon's court in my earlier days, to study their ways, to study their magics. On a later visit I saw myself, young and beardless, still there and learning. Recent times have taken the wonder of us all and now time flows for him as it does in the mundane world. It must be a terrible burden to be so limited for such a creature. Still, though he can never replace my true king, I call him friend."
Possible Connection: Already discussed -- and mentioned above.

Name Rapunzel/Madeline Adams
Played By: Bekha Boo
Character's Thoughts: "Princesses are something we'll never be short of. Though gifted with some minor magic, she has so far failed to impress."
Possible Connection: They may have encountered each other when he pays visit to Merlin, but other than that I don't think any real connection would fit them. Maybe Faridah frequents the place more often and is a casual acquaintance?

Name Red Riding Hood/Rosalyn Harper
Played By: Mellific
Character's Thoughts: "An odd theme in Fabletown, that all bakers and candymakers are also warriors. Though her potential is limited, her interest in magics is notable and may make her a useful agent -- especially with that luring charm she possesses. It may be prudent to provide protection to my closer employees if I am to keep her near."
Possible Connection: If she seeks instruction and greater knowledge of magic, the Grand Vizier is pretty much the ideal tutor. His heart being locked away would not be widely known outside of a few Russian Fables who know he was Koschei (Baba Yaga would know, of course), but if there is some reasonable explanation for her to know, that's fine by me.  I'm confused about the legal thing you mentioned, though -- I thought she was running a bakery? Was there some update I missed? Or did you mean the divorce from Woody? He could have acted as a consultant, especially if she had shown interest in arcane instruction before and was thus on his radar.

Name Reynard Fox
Played By: Garuss Vakarian
Character's Thoughts: "A useful agent, if one remembers to treat him as he believes is his due. But only that."
Possible Connection: Somehow, Reynard was imprisoned despite the Amnesty -- while his past deeds might have warranted it, they cannot matter anymore. Rashid would speak for his freedom.

Name Scheherazade/Shahra
Played By: Amarlo
Character's Thoughts: "She has been my daughter for many years. It is … difficult to remember, sometimes, that she is not. Stories are a powerful thing, repeat them often enough and they become truth. None know that better than my Shahra."
Possible Connection: A father and his daughter. Or was it elder brother and sister? The details are fuzzy sometimes, as much as Rashid occasionally needs to remind himself where his true origins lie.  Still, he was ever the cerebral advisor, the builder and scientist, the magician -- and she the teller of stories, the sorceress and oracle, who thought up wonders where he would rather seek, analyze and catalogue. She has taught him much over the years upon years and so did he teach her in turn. His understanding of narrative, repetition and the power held within is owed to her as much as Oberon -- to whom of the two that makes a compliment remains a question that he has craftily avoided.

Name Snow White
Played By: Alixandre
Character's Thoughts: "A fine leader -- her proposition of Amnesty has impressed and she continues to run the administration as effectively as it can in our situation. Unexpected, given her early history, but she has truly come into herself. Far less tiresome than the King placed above her, for that matter."
Possible Connection: Rashid supported her Amnesty proposal and actively participated in forming the Compact. He gives a hefty yearly contribution to Fabletown and may have the occasional word of advice, if asked. He has hinted at thinking her a more suitable ruler than King Cole.

Name Tinkerbell
Played By: CurvyKitten
Character's Thoughts: "The thief? I'm surprised she hasn't been caught yet. Either she steals from Fables or is a continued exposure risk in stealing from the Mundane -- both of which are major crimes and one, treason. Still, I am not actual part of the government, so she is hardly my problem. For now. "
Possible Connection: Thieves make for excellent spies, do they not? And he is rather keen on acquiring magical trinkets -- for safekeeping purposes -- so he may well be one of her major employers.

Name Woody Garland
Played By: Garuss Vakarian
Character's Thoughts: "A weak man -- he could not follow his Queen's orders, nor could he resist the lure of the bottle. We shall see if his current efforts to do so will go anywhere."
Possible Connection: None beyond professional courtesy -- unless he wants to be on payroll to share office information or something.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

This is a WIP

Name: Nala
Occupation: Bartender
Fable: The Lion King

Age: Appears to be mid 20s (26)
Height: 5'6"
Faceclaim unknown model

Sexual Orientation: Straight? Its not something she really thinks about.

Relationship Status Married - as of the fairy tale. Single in Fabletown. Lions are - Polyamorous in a way.

Abilities: Superhuman Strength, Jumping great heights, Climbing, Night-Vision

Weaknesses: Catnip - Whoever invented this is an evil person, A pack follower - even if the person is wrong and evil, she will follow them to protect the other young lions, Trusting - She isn't the type of person to judge someone by appearance, which makes it easy for her to trust them off the bat.

Reputation: Now a human woman, through the privilege of being a Princess in the animal kingdom - Nala has a fairly good reputation amongst the citizens.

Personality: Nala is a determined young woman, having been that in her lion form. She is ambitious and never falters. The lioness is known for her diplomatic approach to things and is always sought out for protection and advice. Despite her being born into royalty, she is never abrasive or selfish. People come before her own needs and she will always be the person to look after you. Nala, at times, can be a little hot-headed when things aren't going the way they're supposed to. In a way, this makes her rather high maintenance and hard to deal with if she is in one of those moods. Nala, however, is a very playful and energetic person. She likes to workout and enjoys rough housing with close friends. All-in-all Nala is a great friend to have.

Bio: Everyone should know the story of the Lion King. There have been plenty of adaptations on which the story was originally made. Nala was the Princess of the Pride Lands, having been married to Simba, the King of the Pride lands. It was a long and stressful journey to get him there, but it was worth the effort. The young Queen is no newcomer to darkness and struggle, when all was finally peaceful - The Nothing came to sweep her kingdom away. It was a power she had not seen before, but was not unfamiliar with darkness and evil. The Nothing drew her out of the Pride Lands and in with the "Normies" some call the non-magical everyday humans.

Because of her status as a Princess, she was able to purchase a glamour and live amongst everyone. She has made few friends and often keeps to herself.

Likes: cooked meats, sushi, working out, reading, animals, massages, kissing

DislikesAnimal Cruelty, Rude People, Persistant men, and people that don't hold their promises

Name: Hunter
Occupation: Jack of All Trades
Fable: A few: The Hart and the Hunter; The Horse, Hunter, and Stag; several others.

Age: 33
Height: 5'9
Faceclaim: Gerard Butler

(Two Images, one rl one fictional.)
For Realsies
For fictionalsies

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities: Expert tracker, marksman (Bow and arrow, crossbow; guns are distasteful), a wide variety of handyman skills from living alone (maintaining his own clothes, his house, etc), fletching, cooking (especially smoking meats), foraging.

Weaknesses: Does not always get along well with others, can be stubborn and prideful.

Reputation: Hunter doesn't win friends with his rough and taciturn personality, but he's a staunch ally to have around. He doesn't back down from what he thinks is right, he supports the few people he calls friends with everything he has, and he makes really, really tasty spiced, smoked meat snacks.  Plus, if something is broken, he can usually fix it (as long as it's not electronics), and he won't rake any other Fables over the coals when it comes to pricing; he knows how to get by on basically nothing.

Personality: When the Fables were not reduced to their current situation, the tales in which Hunter dwelled in featured him as a solo protagonist (and occasional antagonist), and these long stretches of time spent on his own show through in his taciturn personality. He is not very social, because he has always been the 'lone wolf'; one of his greatest challenges in adapting to this new situation will be to learn how to live in an actual community.

Self sufficient in the extreme, there are some who could call him a perfectionist. The fact that he shows no humbleness in his ability to take care of himself, and to do everything for himself has also made him appear as quite the braggart.

However, beneath that rough exterior is a smoother interior. Beneath it all is a man for whom the word promise has an almost magical power to it; someone who does care, even if he does not show it; and above all, someone who is actually hurt, but refuses to show it to the world outside, for fear that such weakness could bring harm to him.

Bio: Hunter can't recall have any parents of his own; for as long as he's known existence, he has lived in the woods, alone. Some times it is the jungle; some times, it is evergreens; some times, it is oaks. Always the woods, almost always alone. Some times, he has had the companionship of a wolf, or a hound of some sort; at other times, a horse, or other riding animal.  But rare were the times he interacted with other humans.

Then, The Nothing came, and changed all that. Now his world, once simple, has been rendered infinitely complex, and he must learn how to adapt to a world that is much more than trees and beasts.

Likes: Nature, flowers, the thrill of the hunt, meat, berries.

Dislikes Too much noise, complex technology (cars, computers, TV, etc), crowds, "normies" (Non-fables).
A&A's and O&O's *Status: Here and there | Games: Aiming for punctuality*

Sorry but my other character, Woody is already the woodsmen from the red riding hood fairy tail. I am however willing to take off the fact that Woody is also being the hunter from snow white. So that your character can be the hunter from that tale

Mellific

I love this idea for a group game, and am thoroughly interested.

Currently considering a slightly altered version of Little Red Riding Hood and working on a CS to send in. ^^

Garuss Vakarian was kind enough to offer his help co-gming this rp with me and as this is my first attempt at being gm as well as having a hectic job, I feel it is my responsibility to make sure if something happens to me this game doesn't just fizzles away. I promise (as this is my rp baby) that I will do my best to make this rp an enjoyable experience. Feel free to share ideas or story arcs for your characters I would be happy to add them to what I have in store for you guys. I want everyone to have their time in the spot light and to feel a part of the "gang" so to speak. The attention and interest on here has made me so happy and I will be honest and say I did not expect the amount of interest and amazing work that you guys have so quickly put together and I would like to take the time to say thank you to everyone.

If you are finished with your sheets send them my way (So hanged your sheet looks good if you want to send it to me or if you want to do any other changes).

La Dame I like your Nala character so far once she is done send her my way.

Mellific I look forward to seeing your version of which ever character you end up choosing.

Guys in all honesty I think we have enough people to maybe get a game up and running? (Votes guys? Yay or nay?)

Garuss (Give me your personal thoughts on if we should start soonish; after we talk more about the direction we are going with the rp)

Also I would like to say that what you guys do with your characters will determine how mine will act/react. (Example: if your a person who always fights with Bigby don't be surprised if he treats you roughly; or if you are always ready for a session in the sheets don't be surprised if Merlin is constantly hitting on you trying to get in those panties....if you're wearing any ;) )

All in all let's just have a good enjoyable experience and If you are having a tough time with posting make sure to alert us because I have a small solution for that too.

I am still awaiting on two volunteers (just a little friendly reminder promise I am not forcing anyone at all) for BB love interest (female character) and a best friend (of sorts) male or female character (it doesn't matter).

Once I get everyone who is interested done with their sheets we can start this game pretty soon if everyone feels we are ready.

Bekah Boo

I'm really excited for this story and how it will play out, with all the characters we have now it can be quite an bit of fun to be had (or fights whatever happens first). That said I can offer up Madeline for BB's love interest if you like, though I'll admit it probably wouldn't be right off the bat if not need some coaxing but the offer is there Maligno.

El Maligno

Oh yeah so I forgot to add this.....

Ok so there have been a few questions about The Nothing. Without giving any plot things away I will say as much as I can to clarify just what exactly The Nothing is. (Just know none of our characters really know what it is). If you want you're character to have had a face to face encounter with The Nothing know that they will need to have some type of psychological problem.

Use my character's as an example.

Merlin, a once wise, intelligent man, a paragon of good is now a man swimming in madness who has given up on life but is going to enjoy whatever time he has left with the     splendid joys of debauchery. (YAY DEBAUCHERY!!! ;D)

Bigby was a fearless, bold, angry hell wolf that never once backed down from a fight. He met the nothing and not only was he cowed into submission, he was forced into his weakest state (a state he'd never once used before) and completely changed his outlook on life once he saw true horror within The Nothing (He will have some problems but thats part of a plot twist so...)

The Nothing is unlike anything our Fables have ever seen. We don't know the why's or how's or even where this entity comes from. For your mind's eye just picture something like The Darkness (Please google if you don't have an idea) with a smig of that  Black smoke thingy from LOST.

Kinda twist all of these into one and you kinda get what we are dealing with. That said it is OBVIOUS that this is the polar opposite of us Fables.

As of now there is nothing to match the power of The Nothing. Magic from the most powerful of sorcerers (See Merlin's Bio for a example of just how strong The Nothing is), Excalibur was lost (Sorry anyone who wanted to play owner), some of our greatest heroes were lost (not sure who yet since we have yet to reach a full roster...I don't want to take anyone away just in case). So far The Nothing trumps all not even the Djinn with their "Phenomenal cosmic powers" could stop The Nothing. I want our characters depressed, scared (of the fact that every moment there is a seemingly unstoppable force hell bent on destroying them), and backed into a corner.

But don't worry....it's always darkest before dawn....The brightest of lights cast the darkest of shadows.....Depending on us our characters just might make it.

(Oh and BTW for BB love interest volunteers We will not be in a relationship right away it needs to eventually happen but the interest is there...we notice each other is what I mean to say)

Life in Color

#55
Name: Snow White
Occupation: FableTown Government
Fable: Snow White, Snow White & Rose Red, Snow White & The Huntsmen (Getting the picture, yet?)

Age: Appears to be her in late 20's, maybe early 30's - don't get her started on her actual age.
Height: 5'5"
Faceclaim: Katy Perry

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Relationship Status Divorced - Single

Abilities:

Trained Fencer - At her own insistence, Snow White was trained in swordplay by her at-the-time, Prince Charming. Her skill became so great that it was whispered in places that she had murdered Dwarf brothers who were kidnapping local peasant girls - no evidence was found to convict her, although an investigastion was done by the Prince.

Extremely Organized - As part of the legal machine that runs FableTown, Snow is immaculately organized and ordered.

Intelligent

Near Immortality - It's probably impossible for Snow White to die, or stay dead for very long, due to her popularity as a Fable.

Weaknesses: Snow get flustered when there isn't a plan in place and her adherence to the rules often puts her into tough spots when dealing with the other Fables.

Reputation: Depending on who you talk to, Snow White is either an angel or the devil in high heels. She takes her position in the FableTown government very seriously and doesn't see a lot of wiggle room in the rules - especially when it comes to Fables who cannot secure glamors and wish to remain in the city. Everyone can at least agree that Snow White is loyal to FableTown and is always willing to put the betterment of the displaced community above her own personal interests.

Personality: It would appear that Snow White is a kind of a sarcastic and aloof bitch. Her position within the FableTown government leaves her little room to interact with the normal Fables. Snow is calculating and appears to be cold, but it actually very lonely. She is known for using her official power to put herself into places that she feels like she needs to be and doesn't mind crossing some lines as long as she feels like it's the right thing for her to do. Since coming to the Mundy world, Snow is trying to redefine what happiness and love look like - things she struggled with while she was living in the Homeland.

Bio:

The origins of Snow White are easily repeated - she was a Princess, found by a Prince, after spending a good deal of time at the hands of seven Dwarves. What isn't told is that her time with the Dwarves isn't something that should be repeated in polite company and that she was rescued, more than she was found. After being married to Prince Charming, Snow White learns to fence and takes revenge against the Dwarves (but good luck proving her guilt) with fire and death. Her marriage to Charming is disrupted by an affair, but Snow refused to let it be a negative turn in her life and continued to be an active member of the nobility in the Homeland.

The Nothing changed everything.

Snow White is able to escape because she is freed by a Fable that she does not see after being captured by those who are loyal to The Nothing. As a thank you to the fates that looked kindly on her, Snow White encouraged King Cole to grant an Amnesty to all of the Fables who managed to escape from The Nothing because they should all be allowed to lead new lives in the Mundy world.

Likes: Security, order, luxury (and all of the trappings associated with it - you should see her apartment), the company of others (good luck getting her to admit it, however), cleanliness, the democractic process, hot and pampering showers

Dislikes: Smoke, chaos, dirty places, lawbreakers, Dwarves, violence (especially sexual violence)

Note: I left part of Snow's Bio vague in case we do or do not pick up a Rose Red character - their relationships is too complex to not have some discussion over if someone chooses to join and play them.

Name: Nalayani the Loyal
Occupation: Shopkeep, Sometimes Deputy Volunteer
Fable: The Mahabharata

Age: Ancient - her Fable is one of the oldest written texts in the world. She appears to be in her early 30's.
Height: 5'8"
Faceclaim: Priyanka Chopra

Sexual Orientation: Straight (As far as she knows)

Relationship Status Single

Abilities:

Expert Marksman

Tracker

Near Immortality

Natural Leadership Abilities

Weaknesses: Solitude, Stranger in a Strange Land

Reputation:
Nalayani is a leader in all things, but she leads with caring and passion, and so there are very few who have anything negative to say about Nalayani. She maintains an exotic goods and spices store in a high class part of New York that caters to both Mundy curiosity and Fables who long to reconnect with their Homeland roots. This allows her to have a good of a relationship with the upstairs Witches as anyone not within the FableTown government can have: she mixes spices and sometimes they will enchant them for her with very specific spells - the Mundys who don't know better might consider her a New Age practicioner, but really she's just a good cook with some connections. Because of her legendary hunting abilities, Nalayani occasionally is hired by the FableTown Sherrif's office to help track down suspects who are extra slippery. This provides her with working relationships with FableTown's legal players, on both sides of the courtroom.

Personality:
Nalayani is an Indian fable, and since arriving in Manhattan has felt very out of place - she's still trying to get her footing even though she's called the city home for enough time to believe it. She is loyal, to a fault, and believes in the good of the group over the good of the single unit, which sometimes has put her at odds with the more selfish Fables. Don't let her kind exterior fool you, however, because Nalayani is one of the best survivors lurking around FableTown - she is extremely capable, independent, and has no problem servering ties with anyone who she might believe could hurt her. Nalayani's greatest wishes are to find someone who understands her and is able to hold her interests romantically, continue to be a successful storeowner, and to always be involved with protecting FableTown - the home that took her in after her own was destroyed.

Bio:

Not a lot is known about Nalayani. The lands that corresponded to India's Fables were some of the last touched by The Nothing, which destroyed her entire village, and it was only by her own skill that she was able to escape her locale under The Nothing's nose and make it into Manhattan. Since coming to Manhattan, Nalayani has kept mostly to herself. Unless you count her unpredictably successful Exotic Goods and Spices store that shares a block with other Fable-run, high-end Mundy stops, and her involvement with FableTown's law enforcement. If one was to look into The Mahabharata, one would find that Nalayani's tale is one of chastity and unbending loyalty - traits that Nalayani holds very dear to her heart.

Hunter might be a good friend for Bigby. It also helps if Hunter has at least one person he can actually turn to (even if it's reluctantly). As far as character development and plot arcs go, for Hunter, at least initially,  his shell needs to be cracked open and he needs to actually become part of the community instead of being that dude on the outskirts.

#59
Name: Rosalyn Harper
Occupation: Entrepreneur - Lil Red's Sweet Spot (Bakery & Cafe)
Fable: Red Riding Hood (Red Riding Cap)

Age: Appears mid-twenties
Height: 5'5"
Faceclaim Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Fictional Appearance

Nonfictional Appearance

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Relationship Status Single; Divorced

Abilities: Baking - Rosalyn learned from the very best; her mother and grandmother. Not only did she decide to put her greatest skill to work for her by opening her own business, she also dabbles in potion and poison making and is looking to expand her customer base.

Daggers - Over the years, Rosalyn learned how to defend herself. Her preferred weapon of choice consists of knives and daggers, which she keeps on her person at nearly all times. An expert blade thrower, Rosalyn often uses her daggers for more than just self defense, including hunting.

Magic Caster - After the incident years ago, Rosalyn's family decided to learn more than one way to defend themselves, which led them to a collection of witch's who taught them how to cast simple spells and use magic to small degrees. Most of the magic that Rosalyn knows involves healing and casting protective enchantments, though there are a few more sinister spells she has mastered, as well.

Seduction - Sometimes a woman's greatest weapon, is her sex appeal. Rosalyn certainly has this, and a potent, intoxicating, allure at that. To those who she wishes to seduce, Rosalyn has an ability to influence them through sexual desire, as she seems to radiate lust, and knows how to use that to her advantage.

Weaknesses: Fable - Though they say that Fables are not easy to kill, Rosalyn is in no way an exception to this rule. She can take more damage than that of a human, even can make a full recovery after being injured, but she is just as susceptible to death as every other Fable out there.

Physical Strength/Depleted Abilities - Rosalyn is not as physically strong as others, though that is not to say she isn't physically capable of doing some serious damage. Whenever Rosalyn is injured or harmed, her magic becomes sufficiently weakened and tends to have less of an effect on an opponent.

Impulsive - Sometimes Rosalyn gets ahead of herself and doesn't think things through very carefully. Her impulsive nature can be both a gift, as well as a curse, depending on the circumstances.

Amateur - When it comes to magic, Rosalyn has the odds stacked slightly against her, considering there are no witches in her family or bloodline. Though she has mastered a few charms and incantations, this in no way makes Rosalyn an expert magic-caster.

Reputation: Working on changing her reputation has proven rather difficult. Many still view her as a naive, wide-eyed, little girl who needs protecting. However, over the years, Rosalyn has become rather capable of defending herself, all on her own. It is difficult for her to trust others, save for her family. She has a provocative and sultry side, but underneath it all, to those who truly are able to tear down her walls and expose her for what she really is, they might find themselves surprised by what they find. Rosalyn actively works to keep herself from ever being victimized again, refusing to be anyone's prey, unless it's purely based on a carnal, sensual desire.

Personality: Rosalyn is loyal to those who have earned it, and largely wary of everyone else. She enjoys living life on the wild side from time to time, but hopes to keep herself out of trouble. She can come off as being cold or distant, due to her nature of not trusting others easily. Sometimes a fear of commitment can creep in and causes her to ruin relationships before someone else has the opportunity to pull the rug out from under her. She can sometimes have a bit of a temper, along with a jealous streak, but due to her failed relationship of the past, she is largely afraid of starting over with something serious. Flings, however, are an entirely different matter. Then, there's the matter of Bigby Wolf... which is another matter, entirely.

Bio: Everyone knows the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Not everyone knows that the wolf who was presumed dead -Bigby- actually had not died. Not many know that the huntsman who saved her from a fate of death, would request for her hand in marriage, a few short years later, when she came of age. Even fewer know that the relationship between Woody and Rosalyn was anything but roses, fueled by his frequent, violent, drunken rage. After remaining married for a short while, Rosalyn finally confided in her family about the abusive relationship she found herself in and with their support, managed to file for divorce. Rather than allow that failed relationship and history of abuse to wear her down, however, Rosalyn refused to let herself remain a victim. She was not a wolf's prey, any longer. Rather than allowing the events of the past to defeat her, she used them as motivation and inspiration to get stronger. She didn't want to rely on the huntsman, or on any man for that matter. Instead, she learned the ways of magic and turned her craft into a business, eager to prove something of herself and change the world's perception of the naive little girl she once was.

Very few people remember about the tale, that Little Red was never afraid of the wolf. Rosalyn was brave, even as a child, and to this day she maintains that trait. She was never afraid of wolves and after enduring the harassment that Bigby inflicted upon others, upon her family, she sought vengeance. However, The Nothing invaded and forced them from their homes, thus changing everything. Perhaps even more than her desire to get back at Bigby for all of the trouble he brought upon her, was Rosalyn's yearning to help defeat The Nothing once and for all.

Likes: Sweets, Baking, Alcohol (in limited quantities), Flirting, Male attention, Secrets, Proving herself.

Mellific I like your sheet am I am VERY glad that someone chose to play lil red as I now get to have a lot of fun with Bigby (Not that I wouldn't have had any but I have some fun ideas for us Mellific that will be awesome funny and everything in between)

One little note though everyone knows that it was Bigby who terrorized you/Red as he is the only one of his kind. Pretty much every story that had a wolf in it (especially a bad one) was him and there is no denying it. It will be something that will be a big pain in his ass as he is trying his best (and has been....mostly) to be a better Fable.

I'm glad to play her! Especially with how I plan to do so. It should definitely be fun to see how things play out, and I've got a few ideas brewing in my mind as well. Who knows? A love/hate relationship might even be in the realm of possibility. I prefer to see how characters connect before promising mine as a love interest, so I'm, needless to say, very much looking forward to seeing how their relationship develops.

Of course everyone knows Bigby is the Big Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood (and countiess other wolf mentions), I do hope that my bio doesn't make it seem as if I were speaking about a different wolf. If you like I can edit it to add the name 'Bigby' in my bio, and then send it to you.

I fought the Nothing to no avail, I could not save my home.

Which reminds me, I need to make sure he's okay with my background for our characters. I tried to keep it fairly open and somewhat vague so that we could find a way to work around it. Hm, I also should have mentioned something about the Nothing in my bio. >_>

But yes! I'm so excited for this. I will definitely be paying close attention for an IC thread ^^

Hahaha, not putting you to shame bud. It just so happens I played Oberon on a "Rise of the Guardians" board a while back and got really into the character. So he'll speak in rhyme and such from time to time...yeah that rhymed lol.

El Maligno

I will be sure to work things out with your bio. Just let me know of any changes you want to make so if you need to add anything just pm me your additions. Right now I am still expecting at least 2 more female characters possibly more so we shall wait a few days and then hopefully we will be ready. We need a few more female characters to round us out, though we won't yet turn away any characters. The interest for this is a lot more than I thought I would get. I am pleasantly surprised. I thought I'd have to wait a long time for this to kick off.

That is awesome Juggs because I have no idea how I am going to have Bigby work the magic mirror I am thinking of cheating and saying he's threatened and broken the mirror so many times it just answers his questions without him needing to rhyme. :P

Well the offer of Oberon having been friends with the North Wind(Bigby's dad) and one of the few who was kind to Bigby still stands. He could give him a cheat sheet or something lol since rhyming is like, what Fae do.

El Maligno

I just might need that I like that idea

Garuss Vakarian

Jugg: Thats assuming he wants to keep that part of Bigby's canon. Ie, North wind as his father and his mother Winter the white wolf. Right now he thinks he is the only one of his kind. So I agree it is something worth hashing out between your characters.

Meliffic: It is actually just fine. So no worries. I will pm you though, it would probably be a good idea to hash out her relationship with Woody as of the present. Does she not trust him? Is she on the road of forgiving him? He is after all trying to make up for his past of drinking himself stupid.

Just a suggestion. Maybe add the OOC, IC, and Character Threads to the OP so that we can all access them easily.

eh we can just twist things and say his mother didn't make it. I need him being the only one of his kind for a plot idea later.

Hahaha, well in the comic she didn't anyway. She had a litter of pups to the North Wind(with Bigby being the runt), but being wind, he couldn't stay in one place too long as it was against his nature. So he left, and the heartbreak of losing the love of her life and the father of her children basically made her pull a Padme and she died. The others went with their dad to learn about their powers and Bigby loved her so much he stayed behind and guarded her grave from anything that tried to disturb it. And he became more powerful than all his siblings eventually so if you even want to include them you can just say they were killed.

El Maligno

Yeah so powerful his children would become Gods and such I am not sure how strong I'll let Bigby be since I don't want to be too OP nor do I want people to think I am being unfair besides this story won't be about just Bigby. I have plenty of character arc ideas. Some I will need a lot of help on if it is a Fable I do not know plus I am open to ideas from you guys

This is pretty much accurate, in fact if I remember straight how it went down for the guy was, he was the runt of the litter and he couldnt protect his mothers dead body from scavengers. So he swore he will be as big as he could, so he can get back at his brothers. Lol, which he did, he got pretty big. Pluss his daddy being the north wind is how he can huff, puf and fuck your shit up hurricane style. XD

Any way ya, I can stand by him thinking he is the last of his kind right now. It makes sense to what you want to do with the story. Generally speaking, his lineage is a non issue until you decide you want to introduce anyone as a surprise or something. Or me, lol, if im permitted to surprise.

Though I dont think being op is an issue to worry about, Bigby may be 'tough' but there is still the simple fact that he does find himself over taken often enough. Bigby being a prime example of ping ponging between power and vulnerability. After all, Woody. Ya, Woody, the woodsmen managed to beat Bigby a long time ago. So, I think a guy with an ax goes to show just how vulnerable they all are even if they are big and bad. (Though in fairness it probably stands to reason Woody would be pretty accurate with that ax lol. He was a Woodsmen.) The only beings that id say are OP are the Djin and their ultimate cosmic Pooooweeer!.

Juggtacular

He was the runt, so he became so large he basically turned into an elephant dog lol.

I'm going to drop a CS in here soon as soon as I skim through some Grimm, Folk Lore, etc. I have an idea already for a character, but I wanted to avoid being too cliche. Worst case scenario, I see myself playing him any way, but I'll at least search for another idea first. :-)

EDIT: Oh snap snow white is taken...oh well. Still I call dibs on Tinkerbell and the Evil Queen!

I think I may scrap my first character idea to fully commit to just this character. I love Hansel.

Name: Hansel

Occupation: Mercenary and Co-Owner of The Sweet Tooth candy shop.

Fable: Hansel and Gretel

Age: 30s

Height: 6’4”

Face Claim: Beto Malficini

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Relationship Status: Single

Abilities:

Sugar Powers: Hansel’s power runs entirely off of sugar. Depending on the types of candies and desserts that he consumes, he can perform extraordinary abilities. So far these known types of candies grant him powers:

Hot candy - Fire
Mint candy, Ice Cream, Italian Ice, Snow Cones - Ice
Sour candy - Lightning
Taffy - Stretchy
Chocolate (including cakes and brownies) - Sex Drive
Jawbreaker - Toughness
Layered Cake - depending on the layers on a cake gives him “x’s” the strength.
Cupcakes - Speed
Gummy Bears - Strength of a Bear

There are more powers to be discovered as he tries various candies and desserts, especially the ones created by his sister Gretel.

Sugar Metabolism: How does Hansel consume so much fattening sugar and still remain in good shape you ask? His body runs on the stuff. He’s since been cursed with the craving ever since he and his sister Gretel were taken prisoner by the evil witch.

Marksmanship: Guns, rifles, bows...in his line of work he's used almost every weapon from the flintlock to the SIG. Hansel, like his sister, has a gun collection, and since he favors all weapons, if he was to narrow down his most favorite gun, it would be a sniper rifle. It is the only weapon where he has time to shoot and eat candy at the same time.

Swordsman: The days he spent as a mercenary in Fairy Tale were not wasted or forgotten. He still has his old blade collection from knives to his claymore. Hansel prefers now days to kill with a knife for knives don't make much noise and he's able to take multiple lives before anyone catches wind that there's a problem.

Capable Fighter: Hansel and his sister have polished their fighting techniques over the years, adapting to the techniques of their enemies. They often spar each other to avoid complacency.

Sugar Smith: While Gretel is the Sugar Chemist, Hansel is the Sugar Smith. He melts down the candies into PEZ dispensable cartridges for quick consumation during battle. He's been working on a inoculation gun for the more highly concentrated liquid variations.

Cocoa Sense: Hansel can sense good quality cocoa. He can sense it like a bloodhound, feel it in his bones, and the higher the percentage of concentration the more he must have it!

Weaknesses:

Sweet Tooth - Hansel cannot resist sweets. If you are having a birthday, keep him away from the cake. You cannot leave the merc unsupervised around sweets. Sweets are an addiction.

Gretel - He is protective of his sister just as she is protective of him to the point that he would even take a bullet for her.

Pure Organic Cocoa - it is the one thing that Hansel cannot resist no matter what and the percentage of cocoa determines how irresistible it will be to him. It is believed that 90% pure organic cocoa will put him in a catatonic state (until it completely digests in his system).

Reputation: Hansel and his sister have made a name for themselves working as mercenaries. On the side, they run a sweets store.

Personality: Hansel is slightly immature. He is loud, obnoxious, and arrogant - basically the little brother. He is a tough guy, but a big teddy bear at heart. He loves having any excuse to get away from the shop and kick some ass!

Bio: Blah, blah, blah, everyone knows the story about Hansel and Gretel. After Gretel toasted the witch, we were separated when The Nothing swallowed the gingerbread house before I could eat it. I lost her in the woods, and it took me several years to find her again. I pulled some jobs as I grew and discovered that I had some uncanny sugar-powered abilities. My work led me to Fabletown where I found Gretel working at a candy store. Reunited again, we used the candy store as a side business to are mercenary work. So basically bitches, if you got a problem, call us. We’ll handle it.

Likes: Candy, candy, candy, candy, candy, cookies, Gretel, cakes, sex, brownies, sexy women, candy, candy, candy, candy!

Dislikes Vegetables, sugar-free anything, unsweet tea, The Nothing (because it ate the mother fucking gingerbread house before I could!), and things that don't know how to die.

Hmm. Any chance someone skilled in such things might want to design a signature thingie for this game? (putting that in the OOC thread instead, where it belongs)

Edit: Hmm. I wonder ... a few people have multiple characters, but the other character I was just thinking of might have two problems: 1) obviously Disney and 2) somewhat similar to my first character. Specifically insofar as: magical, antagonistic (though far more obviously so) and long-living ... Maleficent. Any thoughts from others? She'd be neat, but wouldn't really open any 'more friendly' or 'working class' social circles to play in.

Timeless

#95

Name: Gretel

Occupation: Mercenary and Owner of The Sweet Tooth Candy Shop

Fable: Hansel and Gretel

Age: Appears in her late twenties

Height: 5'10"

Faceclaim: Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Relationship Status Single

Abilities:

Candy and Sweets Manipulation: For some very odd reason, she can create, control and manipulate any type of candy to do whatever she willed it to. Because of this, she would usually use candies for attacking and defending-wise while using this ability for combat.

Witchcraft: Stemming from that experience with the Witch, Gretel became almost obsessed in learning more about witchcraft. She mostly learns it to know the weaknesses of witches, along with making use of the witchcraft to her own benefit. For the time being, she could only heal small to moderate injuries along with casting moderately difficult spells and even making helpful potions.

Very Knowledgeable: Because of the many jobs she had taken along with her thirst of knowledge, she became very knowledgeable on how to handle any certain types of monsters and creatures to where she knows their weaknesses and how to take them down.

Marksmanship: She likes weapons, and she almost had an enviable armory of them. Because of that, she knows how to handle quite a different array of weapons. However, she usually sticks to a modified crossbow along with a pair of handguns. If the mission calls for it, she will bring a rifle if she has to.

Capable Fighter: She dislikes to be vulnerable, which is why she trains herself in knowing how to handle herself especially when she had to fight bare-handed.

Moderately High Metabolism: Oddly enough, she is blessed like her brother in where her body can consume a huge amount of sugar and yet, she still retained her rather slim and athletic build. However, her metabolism isn't as insane as her brother's - which is why she is more careful with her sugar intake.

Expert Candy Maker and Baker: She loves making sweets and candies, along with baking brownies and cakes. She always strives to be the best in that and takes pride in her skills.

Weaknesses: As much as she hates to admit it, but she really does care for her brother - even if her brother annoys her. Not only that, but she is susceptible to lethal injuries despite being a rather popular Fable. Other than that, she is considered to be quite a workaholic, especially in where she couldn't sit idle doing nothing. When it comes to sweets, she really has quite a history with them but she is not as susceptible to them as her brother is. She does have a craving from time to time, but she had managed to control it somehow.

Reputation: Gretel along with her brother works as mercenaries and had earned quite a name for themselves as being very dependable. Not only that, but Gretel had always been proud of her candy-making and baking skills.

Personality: Unlike her brother, Gretel is considered to be the mature one of the siblings. Gretel carries herself as a very intelligent, reliable and independent woman with an aura of confidence about her. Despite she can be quite sarcastic in her remarks to a point where she can be rather blunt, Gretel can be seductive if she wanted to. The only similarity between her and her brother is how she does enjoy kicking arse if there is a chance, and how she likes to get into the action — even if she tries to form a plan first before barging in head on. Not only that, but she can be quite arrogant especially in regards to her skills.

History: "I feel like everybody would had known on how our story goes. My brother did put it quite bluntly, but yes, I was the one who pushed the witch into the oven, and yes, I rescued us both in the very end. We were going to be rather happy, and I was more keen on returning home - though Hansel was very determined to eat the whole Gingerbread house. Unfortunately for him, The Nothing came and eat the whole house entirely.

Yes, he did broke down in tears, but don't let him know I told you that.

But anyways.. So right, after the house was eaten and we had to run for our lives. We got separated in the forest, and since then, we were separated for quite a long time. I was fortunate enough in where a kind couple took me briefly and allowed me to stay while I tried endlessly to find my brother. I soon left, taking odd jobs here and there.

I almost gave up though, and I settled into Fable Town before deciding to open a candy shop to earn a living. Somehow, my brother found me in the very end and we were reunited. Rather ironic, but I ain't complaining.. From there, we decided to become mercenaries especially with our experiences and skills, and we managed just fine and dandy. Now I just wish he could control himself whenever I make new batches of sweets and candies though."

I have a feeling that Gretel and your Red could had been sworn enemies when it comes to their shops. XD Like, they are high competitors against each other, and thus Gretel always try to gain an advantage in making new candies and sweets.

All she has to do is send Hansel over and he'll push the inventory back a month. ::)

I honestly can see both Red and Gretel using and abusing poor Hansel.

I am ... somewhat disconcerted by the idea of candy-kinesis.  :o

as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

I meant it in the innocent sense, dirty girl! Like both making him do chores and stuff they don't want to do all for the reward of sweets lol.

I would like to tentatively claim a spot in this rp. I would like to play Shahrazad :) from One thousand and One Nights

Feel free to come up with a sheet! I think we will be closing our recruitment thread soon after I check these recent posts. I am sorry for not being on yesterday I was the best man for my best friends wedding where I drank my fill and netted one of the bridesmaids which incidentally not only took my late night but also my morning and early afternoon; needless to say I have some catching up to do so please bear with me as I am a bit hung over and will try to address what I have seen all in this one post.

BlackThrone: Am I to use the Hansel that you messaged me or the one you posted on the thread? I have to say I prefer the one in the message better but if you want to add more to it send me the add on's.

Mellific: I shall do your revisions right away. I like the idea of competing candy shops, I suspect that Merlin is going to attempt to try for something sweet from both shops... ;)

Timeless: I like her a lot so send me her sheet in a message please. Also as a note does this mean (As both you and Hansel plan to be mercs, that you work for whomever has the biggest wallet or do have rules? Morals? A merc can be paid by a bad guy for a job; doesn't mean you agree but you do as your paid. Just let me know who you intend to use your characters. (I may have plot stuffs for you guys)

I think Curvy and Amerlo will be our final writers/characters. If we end up needing more guys (Personally I have no problem being out numbered by women  ;)  but if we need more guys I think we can add a few characters, besides I have tons of npc's already laid out.)

BTW as I am sure you know or guessed, not all the Fables made it to the new realm, once I see the final tally I will tell you who died (for sure) and you can get an idea that maybe some fables have been warped/twisted.....

Perhaps they will feel that our fables abandoned them...

(Use the OOC page from now on)

El Maligno

Need some writers still, feel free to check out our character sheets or the current thread (we are not too far into the story but we have some great posts already) please pm the GM (me) or any of the other writers if you have any questions or are interested in joining. I would be more than happy to help with a character idea. Thank you for your time and please have a wonderful day! ;D

In Need of Writers!!! Please feel free to pm me for any questions or sheets if you think this rp catches your fancy. We are LGBT friendly and we have a great cast of writers however a few people have dropped and we would like to add some fresh blood into our rp. Right now is perfect to join since this is the calm before the storm as our rp is about to start it's first little story arc!
