Pretty disappointing final: Anand's been a great servant for chess and done a lot of good as a personality and rolemodel but the quality of his play simply hasn't been there for the last couple of years, with most of his games including what would once be entitled "uncharacteristic" mistakes. The final was little different; his strategies were wrong, he played into Carlsen's strengths and when he did have a chance to win games he tended to make simple mistakes.

That said, congratulations to Carlsen.
