Aww listening to you guys talk about your pets makes me miss mine... They live with my mom right now because of my room mate situation... I keep thinking about getting a new pet but since one room mate doesn't like dogs and the other dislikes cats its hard to agree on a pet and my land lord won't allow anything in a cage...  I still consider my two cats at my mom's house mine because well I pay for their food and vet care while she houses them. One of the cats is named Pumpkin a sassy orange medium-haired domestic cat and the other is Starr a black and white a Norwegian forest cat. I got both of them when I was 14 volunteering at a veterinary hospital and they were dumped on the doorstep... Both of them are adorable Starr is a tiny fluffy cat who is a little stupid he likes to run into things and run away from strangers but he is really affectionate towards people he knows. Pumpkin is a bigger fiester cat who won't let you pick him up but he loves to lay in your lap at least until he decides when.

I was always really lucky having cats with relatively good health so far and they both love being around people once they get comfortable.

"Okay wow... This spiraled into a lot of things fast! Let's get into it."

"On the topic of sterilization, this is a different sort of discussion. This is a discussion of suspension of disbelief, Extrahumans have been utilized by many governments for top secret projects for decades now. Lots of advanced technology has come from this, but the governments mostly keep them under wraps, particularly because they are often too advanced to replicate without Extrahuman assistance. The school uses a lot of this technology, hence the enforcers with sci-fi-like suits, and the 'catch-all' power reducer of 'Blue Goo'. The Infirmary is one of the most advanced parts of the school, using a great deal of robotics to allow it to work without the need of many doctors. Hence there only being one medical technician, and he exists to perform more complicated procedures (like sterilization)."

"So, what this all means is, there is no description of the school's sterilization methods. It has technological, surgical, and chemical components that make it permanent and having only occasional complications (at least for a few years). It is not 100% effective at preventing pregnancy, and it is not 100% without complications. Beyond that, it's a matter of going, 'this is a school where kids move shit with their minds and turn into wolves', advanced sterilization is not the least scientifically viable part of this setting. I wouldn't mind doing plots involving complications with the process or maybe one where a student gets pregnant, but otherwise, there are more notable aspects of the game to focus on and this is just a setting detail."

I know that the school has a library but what other kinds of amenities does it have? Is it like a boarding school where it would also have lets say a music/theater area where they might have instruments or props for plays? Would it have an art studio of any kind with materials like paint, clay, canvas or other supplies? I know there is a common room but what is in the common room? Is there a television? I could see where they might not have cable but maybe movies or something like that? Is there any kind of a gym or outside area they can access? Obviously all these areas would come with restrictions but I'm just curious about what would be available for the students and what kinds of classes they would be taking and what not...

"The school is a sucky place, they don't really have much in the way of 'things to make students happy'. There is an art class, not so much a 'studio', but a big art room. However, it would be for classes only, the art teacher would have to 'cheat' to let students in to do anything else after class. If the art teacher is like that, cool, as long as he/she keeps enforcers or weapons on hand to subdue said students. Some students will not be allowed in there if any art supplies could be used as a weapon by that student. The supply closet would be heavily protected and only accessible by staff."

"The Common Room's description can be found in the main IC thread and the second post here. I've mentioned in both that there are TVs, but with specific movies and programming, often censored. Each IC thread will open with a detailed description of the area (kept vague enough to add things as the plot moves, but with enough detail to hopefully get the idea across) and the second post of this thread has a lot of info."

"There isn't a gym, per se, but they have a large area where they teach physical education classes. However, that is NOT open after class, as they actively want students to be healthy-ish, but never fit. Most students (even C-Levels with their cramped rooms) find ways to exercise or 'train' in their rooms if they want to get fit. By the way, there is surveillance everywhere, including bedrooms and in the main bathrooms. There are blind spots, but most kids wouldn't know where they are since plenty of the cameras are hidden, and some areas are only observed casually."

"No students is allowed anywhere outside EVER. Not at all, in any way, shape, or fashion. There is one way out of the building (and maybe a small backdoor from the staff area which would be nearly impossible to get to), and I'll show in the Main IC thread that students occasionally try to escape when new kids are brought in (and it rarely, if ever, works)."

"As for utensils, plastic utensils (if you stab another student, enforcers beat your ass, there's way more dangerous things than plastic utensils at the school)."

I would assume that since my character is an A level she would be able to interact with A and B level students not necessarily C level correct?

"A-Levels can go anywhere a student is allowed to go (technically not each other's rooms, but no one really does anything about that). You can't just wander into C-Wing. It happens sometimes, but rarely, and you don't just walk in. Sometimes you can ask an enforcer to allow you to go in and talk to someone. However, some C-Levels can get out and walk around (if they can't, they won't be player characters), and go into the common room. They have to have an escort.  When they're out and about you can chill with them like any other student."

As question what is general food menu in the ExCiv boarding school? Most interestingly; who among enforcers actually cooks or prepares the meals? As I doubt they let students themselves cook with all potential weapon usable cooking intensils.

"The food is made by robots, there's an enforcer who watches over the process and keeps things from shutting down, but yeah. There are a lot of enforcer technicians. Also, when I say 'robots', I don't mean humanoid machines or anything, like automated arms and stuff like that. However, Trystia has mentioned that some students just can't eat what other students eat. So here's how that goes: If you are Jewish, and you only eat kosher, they will let you starve, they don't give a fuck. You eat what they give you... If you are allergic to peanuts, they'll provide you a non-peanut based alternative, because you actually can't eat peanuts. Just like Adeline can't eat meat without freaking out (she experiences their slaughter), so they would provide her less violently treated alternatives. However, no, they do not cater to vegetarians unless they cannot eat meat without getting sick or dying."

"The food at the school is just generic, you might get a few choices, but in the end, it's all designed to meet basic health standards and with little flavor. Alternative meals would be made by students with the supervision of the enforcer on hand, and only students whose powers couldn't harm the food (generally A-Levels). Trystia expressed a desire to possibly have Adeline fill that role."

But we got other crazy unusual cats; Taku which was Viiru's first female mate could drag a 100kg car battery while she herself weigthed barely 5kg.

"Note here: car batteries do not weigh more than people, unless those people are very small children. There's also something to be said for the difference between pushing and lifting weight. Most people can push/drag things that weigh drastically more than they do. I'm not starting a debate about this, I just thought I'd point it out."

"Can we wind down the real life discussion of cats? I like that you guys are actively talking, but it's starting to get to be lots of text and it's making it hard for me (and probably others) to find the important game relevant info. If you'd like, I can make a separate 'chatter-box' for the game, for people to just talk about whatever, even completely unrelated to the game. I'd like for people here to be friends."

"Aww, your two sound great. ^_^

About the Level-Cs... They are allowed in the B-Commons with supervision (as well as, like, Evangeline and Naida are inhibited with medicines or the Blue Goo or whatever). Evangeline and Naida would need their escorts with them, because those Enforcers are specific to dealing with them. So while you wouldn't have as much contact with them, or even with more contact with them, they are under the medications/inhibiters, so they are less likely to be a threat (and Evangeline is less crazy)..."

Hmm that's a good point about the dinning aspect, I guess they wouldn't have food they would be expected to use a knife with but what about forks>? Is it just nothing but sporks? :P

So as far as opportunities for my character to interact with others I would imagine given her overall shy and evasive personality she wouldn't be acting out unless someone else another student or an enforcer pushed her to it but it would have to be extreme to not just make her run off and cry in her room and instead take action. So mousy little thing that Sophie is I imagine she's going to be spending a ton of time in her room, the art studio and library, when she is not in classes of course. She can be seen around the school sketching various things but she tries to keep her journal of sketches to herself but its usually of other people she finds interesting subjects so she probably has dozens of lots of the characters since they all seem to have such unique appearances because of their powers.

I would think she would be drawn to other students and tempted into interactions with those who are more artistically inclined or book-wormish giving her opportunities to interact with them in the studio and library. I also think it would be an interesting opportunity if someone confronted her or found out she had a slightly objectionable past time of drawing other people...I would also be interested in trying to role play through the first time one of her or another artists projects was taken from them because I think she would find that the most troubling aspect of the school. Having their personal pieces ripped from them, she views them as extensions of her own emotions and ideas so she would find it devastating to have it taken from her. So if anyone thinks they would like an opportunity to interact with Sophie before the game gets started let me know. :)

I would assume that since my character is an A level she would be able to interact with A and B level students not necessarily C level correct?
Naida has her stuff taken from her because she can only paint with oils. The school told her that she could on condition that they sell her paintings to get back the costs. What they didn't tell her is that it is actually to fund the place and for good press. "Oh look at the beautiful works our students produce!"

Nadia actually seems like a character Sophie (mine) would actually have interacted with and after looking over her bio the "good press" story from the school makes sense. While it is cruel inside I'm sure they don't necessarily want to project that to the public

They would probably have spoken a little. Naida hasn't really left her room until the beginning of this RP.

Also that's why I thought of it. Oil paints and the equipment are a lot of money, but the money produced from the paintings is usually more. (If the paintings are good enough which I think they would be.) I mean while making shit ton of money for the place it would give the image of. "We look after our students. Look at the wonderful paintings they do with oils!" I mean would a place that produces wonderful paintings be such a bad place? >.>

So cat stuff in there!

Zaer Darkwail

Yeah, I imagine the school gives out good press. But a question; I assume the students are on purpose cut off any contact with outside world....but can parents of the students inquire well being of their children? Would it be then that staff gives them status reports when asked about it (likely censoring/editing out most the stuff to keep parents dark about real condittions in the school and press/media happy). I do not remember was there somesort law which forcibly cut off parental ties regarding mutants or was it merely forced care taking for the parents who hope see their child graduate from the school.

Anyways waiting more players opinions for Joshua as char (as I edited him already) or wait final judgement do I get in or not :).

"No, there is no parental contact. They handle it differently based on parents, but they have special agents (think the cult brainwash-y/deprogramming kind of guys) who are sent to assess the best way to deal with parents. Lots of parents think their children are freaks and just want to get rid of them, these ones are easy to deal with. Some ask if they can keep in contact, and are convinced by these agents that it wouldn't be healthy for their development, these people are very good at calming and convincing people of things (this is really not that hard a stretch). Sometimes they'll give the parents a bullsiht address where they can send letters, but tell them that the child will not be able to contact back. Then the parents send cookies and shit and some government asshole in the middle of no where eats those fuckin' cookies."

"However, yes, the ECPA does state that such kids can be taken without parental consent or contact. So, even if a parent can't be consoled, they can be told its the law, even arrested for interfering with it. This is causing bubbling discontent outside the school, but it hasn't erupted into full scale revolt yet. People are willing to take a lot of shit from their governments, it's really depressing..."

Ok, I thinked Joshua's case his parents wanted keep contact with their son even if it was one sided. So they got the BS agents and false address to send letters (and gifts) to.

But as more curiosity question; what would occur if people as mass would demand change in the present law? Can law changed at all by 'common people' or would it need backing of organizations and also influential people? True most parents do not want deal with their 'freak' children but there are also parents who care for their children. So if some influential figure's own daughter/son get send to ExCiv (say, a governor or president etc), and then later said parent looses patience from waiting their offsprings to graduate and no longer settle for just one way communication (even when said option is given), what would occur then? Consider this more as 'what if' scenario than suggestion for a plot. This question came up when I wondered how, if, rebellion storyline would start then how it would start.

"The depressing reality of this story is that most people would rather feel safe and content without Extrahumans in their lives, than worry about their civil liberties. Most people voted in favor of the ECPA already, even a lot of Extrahumans support it. It's messed up what people will do when they don't feel safe. My ethics teacher character will discuss that on occasion. Who's to say that it's wrong to want to be safe, even if the cost is freedom?"

"I mean, in real life, I would say that's wrong, but that's why this story is exciting and intriguing."

Zaer Darkwail

Yeah, I knew the event would not occur in the game and would not involve rebellion story if any (it would not be rebellion if general public would seek undo the law what they voted for). I just thought what the alternative would be like.

Anyways Joshua's parents are expection from the general rule, they understand why the law is there and so on. But they do desire keep contact with their son anyways, so they got the agents lie to them and mislead them. Joshua not even aware parents have kept 'contact' with him all these years and thinking they do not care and no doubt staff and such want keep his opinion that way.

ManyMindsManyVoices

"Some staff members are sympathetic, and most don't care either way. If he wants to think that his parents don't care, that's up to him. That's how most see it. Some would tell him that it's not allowed if he asked, but teenagers are self-absorbed a lot of the time. It's not surprising if he'd rather just decide his parents don't care."

Yeah, it hurts him more as parents promised keep in touch....and they haven't kept touch. So he considers they lied to him to comfort him during the departure or such. But he is still determined to graduate and get out of the school someday. He believes that good work and behavior eventually should reward him eventually (it's his belief anyway).

Sophie has probably developed a tad of stockholm syndrome (where the captive starts to feel empathetic and develop positive feelings towards their captors) towards ExCiv. Her parents fought all the time creating a very negative home environment for Sophie coupled with the fact that she feels like she is a burden on her family due to her powers. She probably finds a bit of solace in the fact that she no longer has to pretend to be normal and is now given the opportunity to interact with others who are also trapped there.

Trystia

Nathaniel Kavanagh

Player:  Trystia
Gender:  Male
Age:  29 (October 7th)
Ethnicity:  American
Height:  180 cm (5'11")
Weight:  68 kg (150 lbs)
Position:  Art Teacher (Callsign: Ghost)
Sexual Orientation:  Unknown
How Long Have You Been at ExCiv?  Kavanagh has been at ExCiv for the last 14 years, arriving at age 15, and has been a teacher for the last six years.

Powers:

Projection - Kavanagh is able to project an image of himself up to just shy of 100 metres from his physical body, during which time he effectively falls asleep. His projected body can hear, see, and even speak, and can clothe itself according to Kavanagh's self perception, but is unable to physically interact with objects in any more complicated manner than producing sound, and he is utterly lacking in tactile or olfactory senses while projecting, likely for similar reasons. While it seems that Kavanagh is unable to move through solid objects with his projected body, he has been able to project it through holes, windows, and other openings, and seems only to need to perceive the place he will be occupying. He can also usually project himself to the same place he last was, if it's still close enough, but he complains of really bad migraines whenever someone or something is occupying that space, preventing him from manifesting.

Weaknesses:

Collar - The school has fitted Kavanagh with a special collar with which they can deliver an electrical shock at any time, just in case his 'other' body should ever be caught wandering anywhere he's not supposed to go. This is enough to disrupt his projection, and the shock can be delivered constantly for up to five minutes before losing all power, if deemed necessary. Additionally, his projection may be dispersed by 'popping' it like a bubble, simply by delivering a powerful blow, sharp cut, or anything else that would normally cause an injury. The only problem is that many such methods, especially bullets, would end up easily passing through and damaging anything (or anyone) on the other side. This method causes Kavanagh rather nasty headaches, and he will quickly grow to hate and avoid any Enforcer who abuses his projection in such a manner.

Bio:

Though his abilities actually manifested at the age of 12, it was three years before he was discovered, when the girl next door that he was spying on saw his projected form and screamed, so startling him he fell backwards, dispersing as he fell and nervously hoping nobody would believe the girl's story. An enforcer from ExCiv showed up the next day, the girl's father having called in about the event, which simply confirmed existing suspicions about young Nathaniel. That Nathaniel then tried to use his projected form to meet with the enforcer, so as to not have to actually be taken away, was just enough to prove to his parents what he had become, and seal his fate.

The experiments Kavanagh was subjected to at ExCiv, and the treatment he received from Class C bullies in the years before the practice of placing truly dangerous kids in the cells permanently, served to slowly make him ever more paranoid, certain that everyone was out to get him. He had been betrayed by his parents, and the girl he'd had a teenage crush on, not to mention the doctor here at ExCiv. Half the students seemed out to get him, and it took little effort to convince himself that the others were plotting and just waiting for an opportunity to strike. Yet his paranoia seemed to fuel his art, the one escape he truly enjoyed besides continuing to sneak out of his room in projected form to spy on others. Gladly giving his artwork away in exchange for even the smallest of favours, usually promises of protection from fellow students, Kavanagh found himself in the position of being the best known artist at the school when the prior art teacher, a normal human, quit to spend more time with his grandchildren.

Though initially sceptical of the offer to become the new art instructor, Kavanagh let his guard down, allowing himself to trust that the school administrators wouldn't go to such lengths in crafting an elaborate hoax like this twice (he'd been subjected to quite the hoax during the initial experiments conducted on him). As a teacher, he initially proved far inferior to his predecessor, but the crippling fear of his paranoia led him on an endless quest to improve, certain that failure as a teacher would lead to an ill fate. Corresponding with other art teachers by proxy, writing letters that he would hand over to enforcers, Kavanagh acquired books on teaching and gradually developed his current style, focusing on mastering one technique at a time and letting each student progress at their own pace. After all, they could be stuck here at ExCiv for the rest of their lives, what's the hurry?

Kavanagh is the reason so many students have their best artwork confiscated by the school, having thought of the idea after an enforcer mentioned selling a painting Kavanagh had painted for a few hundred dollars. Since he rarely keeps old artwork anyway, giving most of it away so that he has nothing for anyone to covet and plot to steal, he thought nothing of implementing a policy of taking artwork from students, realizing that doing so could better fund the art program, which had been sorely lacking in supplies.

Personality:

Nathaniel Kavanagh suffers severe paranoia, and as a result, rarely ever leaves his own room, especially when there might be students around. Instead, he conducts all his classes via his 'other' form, having not yet encountered any student able to harm him through this projection of his mind. Though very fearful of the other extrahumans at ExCiv, Kavanagh has recently been warming to some, realizing that perhaps not everyone is out to get him, and that some of the students might deserve his sympathy. For the most part though, he is incredibly selfish and his apparent 'generosity' in giving some students more art supplies or other benefits is usually just so he can confiscate more of their art to sell, in hopes of raising himself in the eyes of Ms. Black and the other administrators, so that he might gain more protection from students, more resources for himself, and maybe even more access to the outside world.

Description:

This varies a bit, simply because Kavanagh is rarely seen in person, especially by students, and his 'other' form tends to conform to his mental self image at any given moment. Students may notice that he doesn't always wear his wire-rim glasses, which seem to come in many shapes and colours, and that they of course don't impact his vision while projecting. He does seem to prefer cardigans and sweater-vests, but there's no way the school has allowed him the wardrobe he seems to 'wear'. Physically, his appearance is rather well-set, though his almost-black hair ranges from a close crop to a more wild mop, even day to day. Neither his brown eyes nor understated figure stand out particularly much, and the relative silence of his form when not speaking minimizes his presence so much that it might be easy to forget he's there.

Sexual Preferences:

A few things here - first, I'm not my characters, which means that my characters' sexuality often actually differs from my own. Just because I'm interested in a kink doesn't mean my character is. Second, I would like to roleplay any scene in which Kavanagh is an active participant, but I'm far more willing to go with 'fade-to-black' than with Adeline. Finally, just as a note, Kavanagh is somewhat of a voyeur, which the other teachers and enforcers are undoubtedly all aware of.

OOC Notes:

I keep really odd hours, and don't have anything remotely approaching a regular work week. I don't foresee ever having difficulty posting at least once per day, but more than that could very much depend on my workload, as November/December could be very busy.

Iris Zhang
Player: Aya
Gender: Female     Age: 26    Ethnicity: Chinese
Height: 5'6" (1.67m)    Weight: 114lbs (51.8kg)
Position: Student
Sexual Orientation: Straight
How Long Have You Been at ExCiv? 10 years.

Powers: Static: Iris is capable of discharging electricity from her body, thanks to an enhanced system of ion channels and neurons within her. She can generate strong electric potentials capable of rivalling lightning. The lightning arcs from her to an arc point, such as a person or another conductor.

Lightning synapse: Iris' control of electricity even extends to within herself, allowing her to supercharge her neurons to give herself increased brainpower and reaction time.

Weaknesses: Iris is easily shut down by insulators, and is forced to wear a super-advanced ExCiv bracelet that effectively soaks up any and all electric discharge. She is incapable of removing the bracelet herself. If the bracelet ever needs to be removed for upgrades or maintenence, Iris is given a powerful dose of Blue goo. Her lightning arcs can only ever affect one target at a time. In addition, Iris has no training of any sort with her powers, having been retrieved immediately after manifestation.

Her ability to charge her neurons is not impeded by the bracelet, but prolonged periods of such highly increased brain activity lead to splitting headaches, and risk for permanent neuropathy. As such, Iris has rarely ever used this power.

Bio: Iris is the heiress to 'Guardian', one of the world's leading energy suppliers. Her father, Ben Zhang, was one of the most successful men in the past century, though he has long since retired. Guardian was left to the hands of his many capable employees. His business secret, apart from aggressive expansion and wicked cunning, was that he was a little different from everyone else. Ben Zhang was an extrahuman. In the 1960s and 70s, there was considerably less focus on their kind, though people were aware of their existence. During that time, Ben had discreetly and efficiently set up one of the largest business empires of today. The current laws regarding extrahumans had changed, but it didn't matter to him. He had stopped using his powers long ago, and his company was completely legitimate. While Ben Zhang might still be listed in the database, nobody could touch him behind his money and connections. Besides, he was in his 60s already; what could they really do to him?

Although Ben had escaped the era of extrahuman oppression, he knew that one day, his children might not be so lucky. He married a beautiful, but normal woman named Cecilia, in the hopes that his child would take after her. But as soon as he held Iris, he could feel it. The familiar tingle of power; the tickle of electricity that coursed through her body. The only thing she inherited from her mother was her looks. Throughout Iris' upbringing, she had moved frequently, as her father liked to travel and visit his companies worldwide. 'He's retired,' Iris would complain. 'Why do we both need to go with him?' She whined, wondering why her mother never protested. Unbeknownst to her, Iris was being moved for her own protection. Countries rarely kept track of extrahumans outside of their jurisdiction, and especially so for one that moved around so much. Her father had even gone so far as to give her special gifts- a ring made of powerful insulating material. But it was not enough. One day, while the family was staying in New York, Iris manifested. Her father had taken her to watch a basketball game in Madison Square Garden, and despite the insulation, Iris released a burst of electricity so powerful that it devastated the arena. It looked as though a thunderstorm had repeatedly, and specifically targeted the area, leaving lightning scars and fire everywhere. Nobody had been hurt, thanks to her father, but a retrieval team promptly came for the 16 year old Iris. There was nothing her father could do for her on American soil, despite his influence.

Iris had a tough time adjusting to the harsh environment of ExCiv, like everyone else that had been thrown into the abysmal place. But, she was better inclined to adapt than most; it was just another move in her life, except without all the luxuries she was accustomed to. The first few years were spent hopeful, expecting that her father or somebody that worked for him would come and take her away from this place. But they never came. Time passed until Iris was just another captive at ExCiv, spending 10 long years of her life doing nothing but wondering. Wondering what the outside world was like a decade later. Wondering what her parents were doing, or if they had another child. Wondering if she would ever leave ExCiv.

Personality: Iris keeps to herself unless she is approached or with familiar people. She isn't the type to take the initiative to socialize, but is quite talkative and friendly with those she has known for a long time. Her childhood led her to move constantly for her father's business, so Iris never had a chance to settle down in any one place. She became a person that never really invested into anything, whether it be friendships, lovers, or even her own problems. Why worry about any of them, when they would disappear in a months' time? Iris was as carefree as could be. What she did always have, however, was her upbringing. Born into a top class family, Iris was educated with the finest of etiquettes, and the extraordinary patience of a lady. She is composed and elegant, but isn't afraid to let her hair down- in private, of course.

At ExCiv, Iris is peaceful and obedient. She does what she is told to avoid conflict with the staff, so that she may have more freedom within the facility.

Description: Slender brunette with decent curves. Often seen in dresses, or thin reading glasses if caught at the library. Has a unique accent from her constant moving, a mix of many different regions. Iris also speaks with a soft-spoken, gentle voice.

Sexual Preferences: Prefer to briefly play out scenes unless something pressing needs to be done, or the game is waiting.

OOC Notes: I'm a university student and have classes during the day, so I can only post at night, maybe 1-2 posts per day maximum. I'll get especially busy during exam and assignment dates, but I'll try to keep up or at least make sure I put my character off to the side.

<Obviously this bio isn't done, I'm working on it it, I've got a few ideas and I haven't settled on one yet.>

Ashly Walker
Player: Ryuka Tana
Gender: Male    Age: 16    Ethnicity: American, with some latino and Western European ancestry
Height: 5'6" (1.67m)     Weight: 119lb. (54kg.)
Position: Student
Sexual Orientation: Difficult to say, Ash doesn't think about things in rigid terms like that very often
How Long Have You Been at ExCiv? Again, difficult to say, as Ash was born within the facility, and has moved around many times. Recently, he was returned to the facility a year and a half ago.

Powers: Levitation - Ash is capable of levitating himself or a single object (or set of connect objects) off the ground. He can move them in either case, but not much faster than a person could jog or maybe run. He also can't exert a large amount of force, so he cannot detach most objects from others and anything too far beyond human weight is out of his range. He cannot levitate very high, though he can use the buoyancy to pull himself up a wall, but without something to hang onto, he'll drift back down.

Weaknesses: Ash is just an emotionally stunted boy other than his levitation abilities. He also has a limit as to how much speed or force he can exert with his power, making it only so useful. Ash also has the detriment of being a space case, and simply levitates aimlessly about.

Bio: Ash is a very strange case, particularly notable for having Extrahuman parents, and both having been among the first Extrahumans brough to ExCiv (before it had even been finished being built). Within a week or two of knowing each other, his parents had managed to get pregnant (which has something to do with the sterilization policy at the school). Ash was taken from his parents shortly after he was born, and has been moved around and experimented on for years.

Ashly was sterilized as a toddler, shortly after the sterilization rules were implemented due to his birth. This process not having been quite perfected yet, and performed at such a young age, Ashly has become very androgynous due to the strange hormonal changes in his body. He has a feminine voice, and many mistake him for a girl.

A government experiment managed to get Ash to manifest at the age of 4, and he has been levitating ever since. His power is not simply an active ability, but at this point it is an extension of him. He levitates rather than walking, and doesn't see anything wrong with this.

Ash was eventually returned to the school as a student at the age of 14, and is about the same age as the school (based on its official opening, rather than its experimental one).

Personality: Ash is emotionally stunted, sometimes speaking like a child and very often paying little attention to the world around him. He is quite intelligent and even charming, when he's fully aware of his actions. Ash does not lack intellectual maturity, though it may seem like it, he is simply emotionally distant and sometimes difficult to communicate with, due to years of experimentation.
Description: Ash looks consistently spaced out, likely because he's exactly that. He has a very girly look, some students even mistaking him for such (he likes baggy clothes which make his form difficult to recognize).

Sexual Preferences: Ash isn't an overtly sexual boy, but he can be very charming and affectionate. He has no concept of separation between romantic, friendship, and familial love, and is entirely capable of having sex with anyone he feels comfortable enough getting close to.

Position: Student <C-Level>

How Long Have You Been at ExCiv? Recently captured

Powers: Siren Angel is capable of using her voice to influence the emotions of others, and with very strong emotions, she can even make suggestions that cause the target to have a strong urge to act on them.

Side note: At first it was thought that her ability was limited the use of her voice. But there was an incident that may prove other wise. Upon her first attempted capture and the added stress she used her violin as a focus for her powers. It has not been seen since but those that study the Extrahuman abilities wish to further study this.

Weaknesses: If her voice is incapacitated so is her power. The single incident of the use of a violin even if it was a one time occurrence still indicates Angel needs a foci for her ability to work. Angel is also highly affected by intense emotions carried through sound (yelling, crying, even moaning), and uses her headphones to drown this out.

Angel is forced to wear a collar at the school which tracks adrenaline, blood pressure, and intonation (among other things) and administers a shock if she begins to show signs of emotions running high. The shock is minor if she simply starts raising her voice a little, and is incapacitating if she grows overly emotional. If she attempts to continue after the shock, the collar is designed to administer a dose 'Blue Goo' into her system.

Due to the danger of her power, Angel is being taught sign language, and also carries a little white board and some markers. This allows her to communicate without speaking, and her escort can interpret her sign language.

Angel has hypoglycemia, due to this she and the severity of it she is constantly seen with a lollipop or something else to keep her sugar from dropping. She needs certain types of food to help with the lack of nutrients in her body, and to keep her A1C levels from dropping to dangerous levels. It has been noted in her medical file that she has passed out from the sudden dropping of her sugar to to lack of nourishment.

Bio: Angel Alexandria Jones was born to a inner city household in New York city. Her father was a cop trying to become a detective, her mother a second grade teacher. All seemed fine within the family, the perfect little home despite the harsher city streets they lived on.

Angel grew up being a playful and loving child, always ready for an adventure. She was seen running after the older kids, always wanting to be part of the big kids fun. Angel never shied away from anything they tried to get her to do. Which got her into trouble more than once in her life, but for the most part she grew up in the classic way. Sure she got into trouble but nothing that they couldn't handle.

Though there was always something different about Angel. Something her parents couldn't quite understand. Her mother even said when she was a baby somehow her cries always let her know what her baby needed. And as she grew up there were times where it would become apparent that she had some sort of gift. For the most part her parents were able to help her hide it. Not wanting the world to label their little girl a freak.

Which only got harder as Angel grew up, and her powers got stronger. It came to a point that they had to make a choice, especially when ExCiv started to search for more of her kind. They took their daughter out of school and started home schooling her, saying she had an illness that kept her home bound. Keeping her inside their home, it grew to be her own personal prison. Her mother and father thinking they were doing the best thing they could for their daughter. But despite their best interests she was able to get out. To her it was just the need to get out and play with the other kids. But to them it was a betrayal; she used her power to get them to let her outside. She was 13 then and just wanted to be able to be a kid. Little did Angel know that what she did would scare her parents into calling the ExCiv. No longer able to control their daughter they thought it would be the best for her. Not knowing the truth about the organization.

When Angel came back home they were waiting for her. Her parents waiting in the living room as she walked in. With two agents all to ready to haul her away. When they told her what was happening she grew angry and upset. Her voice filtered through the room and the people around her felt the young woman's emotions overwhelming their own. So they moved quickly to try and take her down. Her screaming filled the room and the surrounding area. Angel screamed at her parents, How could they? Didn't they care? And finally wishing they were never her parents. Little did she know that her words with her power would make just that happen. Her parents took to the suggestion so strongly they forgot they even had a daughter that day.

Angel's emotions overwhelmed those around her long enough for her to get away. Grabbing the bag she had taken with her and her violin Angel ran from the only home she had ever known that day. Scared and alone she ran, anyone near her that could hear her sobs would start to cry themselves. After that she became hunted, wanted by the ExCiv. Her unique power making her one of the hardest to catch to date. Only returning home once, and finding out what she had done to her parents....to herself. It devastated her and it was then that Angel realized how alone she really was. She was 14 then, and felt like her whole world had crumbled around her.

Returning to the streets of NY she stayed hidden for the most part. Performing on the streets for little bits of cash, never staying in one place long enough to get caught. And keeping her face hidden, saying it was a gimmick for her act. It was when she was 16 that her life and her powers took another turn. The young woman having grown to be beautiful drew attention. Attention from one man that she didn't particularly like. Michel a 27 year old drug dealer didn't liked that he could never get her to do what he wanted. Angel didn't look 16 not that Michel would ever care even if she did. He liked them young, easier to get under his thumb. Girls like Lily, Angel's best friend at the time.

Michel used Lily to lure Angel to his place, when she got their Michel attacked her. Dragged her kicking and screaming to his bed. Lily even helped tie her up. Angel's panic reached Lily but Michel feed off of it enjoyed it. He raped her, Angel too affected by what was happening to focus her powers against him. Hell, she barely understood them as it was, so in her panicked state she couldn't fight against him.

When all was said and done he untied her and laughed. Lily laughed as she was given her fix for helping. It struck Angel and caused her to lose faith in everyone around her, but she only ended up adding to the list of her regrets. Angel was so angry, so hurt she looked at them both. Her emotions and powers swelled and before Angel knew what was happening they were both dead. She had screamed and yelled told them both they were a waste of space. Told Lily if she wanted to kill herself slowly that she should do the world a favor and just kill herself now, and if she was going to do that that Lily should go ahead and kill Michel. It would rid the world of them, and at the moment she meant it with every fiber of her being. Before she could stop her Lily took one of Michel's guns and shot him in the head. Angel stunned into silence watched as Lily then turned the gun on herself and pulled the trigger.  It was then that Angel felt like the monster her parents so saw years ago.

Not sure what to do, and knowing the cops would soon be there. Angel quietly gave up on everything around her in that moment. Walking to the bathroom, her mind set on what she had to do. Angel sliced into her left arm after sitting in the tub. A straight gash all the way up her left forearm. Laid her head back and closed her eyes, the young girl had been through and had too much. And she was done...or so she thought.

Angel awoke to the sound of a slow dull beeping and the smell of disinfectant. The lights were far too bright and her body felt like a lead weight. It took her a few moments to realize she had failed in the only thing she had ever really tried to do. She laid in that hospital for 2 days, the nurses trying to get her to talk. Wanting to know what had happened, the cops taking her finger prints and searching for her home. It was only when she overheard a nurse whispering about the ExCiv coming that she finally reacted and showed signs of life. Angel didn't want to be taken. Honestly, she didn't know what she wanted. But part of her felt like she would be blamed and put in shackles for the deaths of Michel and Lily. Yes it had been her fault, but she didn't mean it. Her powers were something she had yet to learn to control. She grew scared of what they would do to her. So in her panicked state Angel again ran. It seemed to be the only thing she was good at.

Escaping the hospital with what little she had Angel ran from NY. Thinking it was bad to stick around. Sticking to walking and hitchhiking Angel made her way to California. And spent the next several years there trying to have some form of life. It was just after her 18 birthday that the ExCiv came for her again. This time well prepared for her abilities, they took her down and took her in. And this is where the next chapter of her story begins. Angel walking past the doors that would close her off from the rest of the world and where her life would seemingly end.

Personality: Angel on the outside seems lively, happy, smart, witty, stubborn, free spirited, bold and unafraid to take those big leaps. People say never to dare her to do anything. Because she will in fact do it. There are times when the emotions around her affect the way she acts. But over the years she has tried to control that. So most times she tries to hide what she really feels. But when one knows what they are looking for they can see the truth in her eyes. The underling sadness she never speaks about. She seems to not really care about anyone or anything, keeping people at a distance. But she has her reasons for it. Though no matter how buried her emotions or her passion seems, you can see it and feel it clearly through her music or her dancing.
Description: Angel has a well-toned body, mostly from being on the run for so long. Her long legs shapely and look as if she may be a dancer. Her eyes change color attuning themselves to her emotions. Doctors say it is a side affect of her powers. There is a cut on her left wrist that runs straight up her forearm from when she tried to kill herself.

Sexual Preferences:I am fine with sex scenes, I fallow the flow of the Rp and if it leads there it leads there. I'm open to trying and rping a great deal. That said I am good with working my writing partner on making a great scene happen for both of us. Here are my On's and Off's. And if there is something your really wanting to try simply ask. I'm sure there is a way to make all those involved happy.
