My file isn't doing what it needs to do. (Rar to Jar Minecraft Forge stuff!)

So I was trying to make a modpack according to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkwzWX9_nbM

I wanted to just stick them on Technic so I didn't have to fuss with re-doing my vanilla MC over and over.

Anyway, at the part of that video when I have to archive the forge stuff and rename it .jar instead of .rar  it gives me a zip folder instead of a java thing.

So in other words it looks like a winrar file, and not like the one the guy had in his video and I tried to do the rest of it, and I managed to get the pack onto the technic launcher and get it to start downloading, but then it stopped and gave me a funky message. >.<

File that I think is wrong

The message read something like

Error downloading file for the following pack: Tropicraft Adventure

Failed to download (URL to modpack.zip from Dropbox)

Please consult the modpack author.
