About me, in brief:

Hi, I'm Arsène, and it's nice to meet you! My Ons and Offs thread goes into more detail about the kinky side of what I like in stories - this is to give you a better idea of who I am and what sorts of non-sexual elements I enjoy. I'd appreciate it if you read them both before PMing me!

I've been writing stories my entire life, and roleplaying for over a decade. It's my favorite pastime - nothing energizes me more than collaborating to tell a story with someone else, sharing ideas and inspiring one another. I enjoy playing characters of any gender, be they cis or trans, and your gender doesn't matter to me. I'm focused on the story and our characters, and it should be the same for you if you'd like to write with me. I have most experience playing submissive or switchy characters, or characters who aren't involved in D/s relationship dynamics. That being said, I've been enjoying writing tops as well lately, even though it's something I'm less experienced with! You may just need to be a bit more patient and communicative with me while I figure out how mean I can be with you~  ;D

I am only available to roleplay through Elliquiy, via forums or PMs. I have a Discord that I can give out to E folks, but it's just for OOC chatting and plotting, and I'm a bit shy about who I give it out to. The nature of my job means I have to be very careful with how much personal information I divulge - it's not that I'm unfriendly or dislike you, I just need to be cautious!

I pride myself on being a friendly, honest, accepting person. If I don't think we'd have fun writing together, I'll politely tell you so, and I welcome the same courtesy from you. I generally post at least once every couple of days - I have a full-time job that gets strenuous sometimes, but I always keep my Apologies and Absences thread updated with my status. On that note, slower posting speeds don't bother me at all. Take your time!

I don't have a minimum word count I expect partners to adhere to, and I would appreciate the same. Sometimes posts are long, sometimes they're shorter. Story flow is more important to me than word count! Roleplaying should be fun for both of us, not work.

As an important note: if you look at my post history to get a feel for my writing, you're likely to see NC/EX scenes there, so please keep that in mind if such content triggers or otherwise disturbs you!

Themes, settings, and other writing elements I love:
[None of these are things I need to have in my stories, but if some appeal to you, we'll probably have a good time.]

  • Power imbalances and struggles - Clashing against an authority figure, rivals fighting for the upper hand in a relationship, one character having a significant advantage over the other. This has many forms, from a sweet romance story about a servant and a queen's forbidden love to messy and complex tales of coercion and manipulation. I like heated conflict and passion - it doesn't have to take the form of a BDSM-framed relationship (although that definitely doesn't hurt) (...actually, I guess it does).
  • Fantasy settings - We could use an established canon like D&D or World of Darkness, or make up our own world together. Any sort of fantasy is my favorite thing. I don't generally do modern day roleplays without at least some supernatural or fantastic element thrown in.
  • Porn/plot balance - I've tried doing some stories that are all sex, and I've learned they really don't keep my interest. I get bored and it becomes very hard for me to write responses. I really like having character interactions that build up to sex, because that's what makes it really engaging for me. Don't get me wrong here, y'all. I love writing sex. It's kinda why I sought this place out! But I've found I need those interactions to keep me invested and fun to write with.
  • Multiple characters - This is definitely not a thing I require, but it's something I find fun! I like writing casts of characters to keep us engaged - if we're not feeling inspired for one, we can focus more on another.
  • Romance - Oh my god, do I ever love romance. Sweet and fluffy, dark and anguished, all of it, any of it. Many of my ons and offs are darker in nature, but that doesn't mean I don't love light hearted things just as much, or that we can't have a balance of the two.
  • Queerness - In all its varied and beautiful forms. I still love playing M/F scenes and always will, but if you want to play gay or poly or trans characters together, I welcome them all.

Thanks for reading! If you have any questions or interest, please send me a PM and tell me your ideas! I only bite after we've negotiated boundaries~

Arsene

I don't have fully-formed plots so much as vague story ideas because I really prefer fleshing out the actual stories and characters with my partner to make each RP more unique and interesting.

High fantasy group adventure
[any x any; multiple characters; queer content necessary; polyamory]

I've been craving any sort of high fantasy, sword and sorcery, "ragtag team gathers to save the day" kind of scenario. It's a bit generic as far as plot goes, but so much fun if the characters are interesting and we have good chemistry! We'd both be playing multiple characters for this, although perhaps not all introduced at once. This could take place using an existing universe, such as D&D or Pathfinder, or we could make up something on our own. I just want a big D&D-esque party where everyone's banging. I'd prefer playing with bisexual or pansexual and polyamorous characters for this, so we don't have a party full of completely separate M/F pairings.

The Needs of the Many
[arranged marriage; any x any; possible dub/noncon; fantasy]

Y'all remember the scene from Legend where Mia Sara dances in that gorgeous goth evening gown and gets sexually tempted by Tim Curry As Literally Satan? Jesus Christ did that awaken something within me as a child. Anyway, let's make our own spin on that together! My character gets married off to yours in an arranged situation - for the good of the kingdom/village/whatever. Maybe YC is a dragon raiding villages and MC is a tribute offered to appease them. Maybe YC is the leader of an evil empire threatening to crush MC's kingdom unless they give in. Fuck it, for a sci-fi spin, YC can be an alien warlord conquering the galaxy, hell if I care. There are a lot of ways to play this! I want to be flexible, so we can work out details together. I'd love for this to turn into a twisted romance where MC does end up falling for YC and going to the dark side, as it were, slowly being corrupted and twisted over to their side. Bonus points if YC is something nonhuman or bestial in nature (vampire? werewolf? dragon? alien? horrible Cthulhu monster?) but not required.

Dragon Age
[templar x blood mage; bloodplay]

I've been wanting to do any sort of RP in the Dragon Age universe, so if this specific idea doesn't sound like your thing but you'd still be into doing a DA-themed roleplay, please let me know! I'd like to try out a mage/templar rivalry - maybe they're forced to work together for some sort of greater cause. Either way, they butt heads a lot but there's still an intense sexual chemistry between them. Have you noticed yet that rivalmance is kind of a thing with me?

Overwatch

I usually prefer not to play canon characters, but I'm in love with the Overwatch cast and I'd be super happy to write some stories about them! The post below this lists characters I'm confident writing, and pairings I like, but I'll happily give anyone a try if we mesh together. Overwatch's lore is... fuzzy, so I'd like to come up with a plot together, or even an AU to mess around in. Something important to note is that I definitely don't want to play with OCs for this - canon characters only.

anything M x M

Folks, there are not enough boys kissing in my life. Let's fix that, shall we?

Arsene

And here's a separate post for canon fandom pairings I'll do. I usually prefer for us both to make OCs and then write in the setting together, but I've also listed some canon characters I'd be happy to play as, opposite other canon characters. I probably don't want to play a canon character opposite your OC unless I know you very well (and since I've only just joined, I don't know anyone very well!). Favorite pairings are bolded.

If you like a fandom but don't see a pairing you'd want to RP, just ask me!

Here's a bump! I added The Needs of the Many and my Overwatch craving. I have a few stories going right now, so I'm going to be kind of selective about partners, but please don't let that scare you off. Worst that can happen is I say no politely. Please check out my post history and O/O's to see if our writing styles are compatible!
