I'm DETERMINED to do a special outfit for when (or IF) I can get to DragonCon. I got MOST of the items I need. Right now I'm about 3 props short of the 'Wizard for Hire' look I'm aiming for. Given that Harry Dresden is very popular in certain circles, you can figure that much out.

I got the duster, the hat. The 'blasting rod' is in work (working down from a dowel) and the staff is pretty much a gimme bit.

The part I'm having problems with is making up a shield charm bracelet. I know HOW I want to do it.. small brass or copper rounds dremeled into a shield form (or if I can do it right.. dremel etched mystic charm patterns).

Problem is.. I can NOT find copper or brass blanks of about 1/2 inch to 1 inch in size that are blank and suitable for use with the braclet forms I got. Truth be told I can't find ANY metallic blanks that are circular and of the right size for use.

Anyone out there know where I can look?

Just doing a search on 'copper disks', I found this link:

I don't know what exactly you mean by 'suitable for use with the bracelet forms', but these are at least intended for use in jewelery.

I hate you! I've been googling, scanning jewel making sites for WEEKS.. you find in it 20 minutes! ARGH!

Thanks.. JUST what I need. And the two hole arrangment works for the alternate bracelet I'm considering.

THANK YOU.. now back to the effort of figuring otu to dremel shields or steal the pattern from the TV show charms.. (if I can get a close enough look!)

That was one of my book marks for the project. I'm still going to ahve to play around with the dremel some.

This was another one I was going to try out.. going for a rough/crude look. Thing was.. the button was 15.00 bucks each and they only had 4!
