The Guardians

There are individuals in this life
that for a time, are placed in positions
where their vision is better,
and their discernment more refined.
Placed here for the protection
of the travelers of life.

They stand as a beacon,
warning of hazards not easily seen
and as a standard,
unchanging in the storm,
indicating the location and direction
of the travelers of life.

When their messages and warnings
are headed,
the course will not be easy, but manageable.
When they go ignored
the storms of life hedge up the way
Of the traveler.

But always in the darkness of the storms
the beacon continues for any that will see and alter course.
Those called to sound the warnings,
mark the course
and safeguard the travelers are,
The Guardians.
