First time RPer lf first light fantasy rp

I have never joined an actual RP group instead have done a bit of one on one RP. I am interested in elven centaur and fae characters. I don't want to get into anything too serious atm just because I'm not wanting to frustrate any RP veterans. Storyline will be basic to start. A group of friends (creatures?) Traveling together to a destination not yet set and all the fun and adventures on the way.

I know this is a very vague start but as I said I am very new. I don't want to commit to a deep storyline if until I get more experience.

I doubt that really needs a system to be honest. Just some friends palling around on the road?
