OK, sorry for what seems to be a bit of a noob question, but: what does "face claim" mean, exactly? What do I put there?
Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

It just means what celebrity or model you’re using for the character’s picture.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. My interest has gone from tentative to solid. Unfortunately, it being nearly 1 AM here, my sheet will have to wait.

Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!

Exactly what Strangefate says.

Victor Zsasz is finished on page 2 :)

Just finished reading over him, and I loved it.  Absolutely loved it.

Approved by me.  Just have to wait on approval from either Black Howling and Lady Lunarius.

Character
== Character Bio ==
== Personal Information ==
Legal Name: Ryan Reave
Alias: N/A
Age: 25
Sexuality:bisexual
Part of Gotham Residing In:Polit St., between Chambers Ave. and Thain St., Red Hook, Midtown

== Physical Description ==
Ryan Reave is fairly nondescript by police officer standards, standing around 5'9 and weighing around 200 pounds. He keeps his hair clean shaven, as well as growing stubble. While he appears to be in his early to mid thirties, he is actually only 25, the extra years on his face a side effect of years of hard living in Gotham. He keeps himself in good shape, preferring to be well muscled. Generally, when not wearing a standard police uniform, Ryan wears a dark red polo shirt, with a black trenchcoat covering it and black slacks, feeling that it looks good, and lets the criminals he deals with know at a glance that he is "above" them. On his feet, he wears the standard black boots for police at all times, but keeps them treated to be waterproof.

== Persona ==
Generally speaking, Corporal Reave is a friendly enough person. He's always one of the first to smile and greet officers, generally seen as sympathetic to the families of victims, and has been known to donate some of his own money out of pocket to those he determines are in need through no fault of their own.However, when he's on the job and dealing with criminals, his friendly nature goes out the window. He'll be more dismissive or irritated when dealing with common shoplifters and thieves, and has nothing but contempt for the general mobsters, but he often goes beyond that for the worst criminals, as well as the criminals who he feels "perpetrate the cycle". The interesting thing is that, while he often shows regret when taking in lesser criminals, he seems to enjoy punishing the worse ones, often wearing an ironic smile, and has been reprimanded for some of his comments and actions. When the Gotham PD feels the need to reprimand an officer, that officer has gone over some serious lines.

== Key Skills ==

Skilled in brawling/"dirty" fighting

Knows how to "make them talk" without violence

Quick to notice scene discrepancies as well as conflicts between evidence and witness testimony

== Advantages ==

Strong: Quite simply, Ryan is a strong person. What he lacks in finesse in hand-to-hand combat, he makes up for in raw power, as well as willingness to use any surroundings to his advantage.

Loyal: If being on Ryan's bad side is a dangerous place to be, being on his good side is a much safer place to be. He looks at his colleagues as not just partners, but as friends. When you get to "friend" status with Ryan, he trusts you and will do anything for you, no questions asked. In addition, he will do anything in his power to protect his friends, even at risk to himself.

Cowboy Cop: While other officers focused on making a good name for Gotham police follow the book strictly, Corporal Reave sees the book as already shredded by the outright corrupt officers. Therefore, when "good" officers are getting search warrants, Corporal Reave is already searching the place. He'd never go as far as to frame someone, believing that evidence doesn't lie. It's just that when others use a pen for paperwork, he uses a machete.

== Disadvantages ==

Short Temper: When on the job, he doesn't so much have a berserk button as a berserk keyboard. Criminals doing crime for no reason set him off, causing him to go into often violent rages. While in these rages, he focuses almost entirely on the person who enraged him, but loses awareness of surroundings and any critical thinking. In addition, he has been known to unconsciously lash out at those who try to physically stop him, only realizing when he's calmed what he has done.

Prone to Blackmail: Thanks to his past, Ryan has one rather obvious angle for anyone wishing to coerce him. However, he has not managed to shift away from that angle, and is willing to do almost anything to keep his past from being revealed.

Cowboy Cop: On the flip side of this trait, Ryan often has problems getting his cases to court under his own power. Evidence he uncovers is more often than not tossed out due to being found in an unreasonable search, or as "fruit from the poisoned tree". For this reason, while Ryan feels he has a high rate of success finding the perpetrator, he has a terrible success rate in getting charges to stick.

== Background ==

Up until the age of 19, Ryan Reave had an ordinary life. He went to school, private school thanks to his well-off parents, then got a job working at a decent stock trading company through family connections. However, things went badly one hot day. On his way to his car after work, Ryan was ambushed and kidnapped, held for ransom. While tied to a chair in a warehouse, Ryan found out some hard truths. His parents' money was not hard-earned, as he had assumed, but gained through a combination of blackmail and embezzlement. Blackmail was also the way he had gotten his job. Once he was let go, after the ransom was paid, he returned home. No one is quite sure what happened there, other than an argument with his father. By the end of the night, however, only one of them was still alive. After an investigation by the police, Ryan was let go, cleared of wrongdoing due to self-defense.

Leaving the home he'd grown up in for good after that night, Ryan spent two years moving on his own, taking jobs where he could and learning how the world really was outside his privileged bubble. At the age of 21, he went to police academy, spending all the money he had earned doing so. While he still had money, given to him through the will of both parents, he refused to touch it to further his career, seeing it as tainted. After 2 years in the academy, Ryan joined Gotham PD as an officer, getting promoted to Corporal after another 2 years. At this time, he's only been a Corporal for a month.

Unanimous approval is great. I fixed up my profile a bit to address the question asked to me, as well as to fix up a few numbers and a misspelling I'd noticed.

== Physical Description ==
The aging, Police Commissioner, formerly the ranking officer of GCPD's Major Crimes Unit, stands at around five foot eleven.  Even for his increasing age, he still remains physically fit, trying to keep up with the younger faces in the squad.  He has become increasingly dependent on his glasses to read, a result of late nights spent reading over files and reports.  His dark auburn hair has steadily been showing signs of graying, along with the mustache that has been maintained and his signature look for years.

== Key Skills ==
*'''Combat Training'''
*'''Experienced Investigator and Detective'''
*'''Excellent Marksmanship'''
*'''Knowledge of Weapons and firearms'''
*'''Expert in Criminology and Law'''

== Advantages ==
*'''Leadership:'''  Gotham has seen some dark days and nights in the past.  Time and time again he has shown leadership both in the field and in the office, establishing himself as a leader cops and investigators want to work for.
*'''Indomitable Will:'''  Through tough times he has shown remarkable strength of will and mental fortitude to keep himself focused and sane when it comes to the cases that would drive others to give up.
*'''Incorruptible:'''  While others on the force have used their status and rank to pull favors, such as bribes, taking of evidence, and enjoying the perks of the title, Gordon has refrained from such activities.  A moral man, he sticks to his beliefs, and keeps himself above the nefarious activities of some of his colleagues.

== Disadvantages ==
*'''Bad Knee:'''  Although he hides it well, trying to stay fit and active to keep up with the younger faces on the force, Gordon has a bad left knee which he generally favors when behind closed doors or at home.  A result from an injury in the military.
*'''Overlooks the Faults of Others:'''  There have been many comments, some good, others not, about the leaks and corruption in his department.  He tries to look past the faults of others, believing more in the hope of goodness and morality.  When others in his department came under fire for corruption, he stood by them, over looking the faults in their history for the results they got done.
*'''Health Issues:'''  Beyond the bad knee, Jim has internal health issues that could prove fatal.  It goes back to his addiction to cigarettes.  A smoker for years, he has a hard time giving them up, leading to health issues such as shortness of breath and cardiac difficulties that are only increased with the stress of his job.

== Background ==
From a normal, well-to-do family, James Gordon sought to bring himself up in life.  He had seen and experienced how it felt to come from a struggling life and childhood, barely making ends meet.  It was a motivation in life, a driving cause behind his desires to do better, to make a better life for himself.

Doing the right thing was always the first thing in his mind.  An honorable man, Gordon tried to do what was the right thing, even if it wasn't exactly the right thing for him.  After an injury ended his military ambitions, Gordon became a police officer where he quickly grew the reputation of being a Good Cop.  His morality and desire to do the right thing turned more than a few heads, especially when it came to turning in cops that were too corrupt.  After a while, seeing how his actions alienated him from the others on the force and setting him apart in such a corrupt, rotten system, Gordon learned to keep his mouth shut, to look past some differences in style and approach, and focus on himself.

From starting out as a simple beat-cop, James Gordon worked his way up the ladder in the hierarchy of the Gotham City Police Department.  By keeping his head down, doing what good he could, and going the extra distance where so many others in his position wouldn't, Gordon started to become the face of the police department, a growing leader who helped in the wars against crimes and drugs.  He became a beacon of light, of hope, in a department filled with the corrupt and unwilling, while at the same trying to be the family man he needed to be at home.

It was with the introduction of the supposed Batman that Gordon found an ally, albeit unexpectedly and unwanted at first.  Sharing the same ideals for justice, for the good and morality, in a city of the darkest night and bloodiest mornings, Gordon, with the help of Batman and the inspiration he brought forth in a city desperate for change, rose to become the Commissioner of police, a role he cherishes as much as the badge of honor and duty he wears with him everywhere.  Together, with an ally in the form of Batman, he hopes to clean the streets up, to destroy the black heart of crime still in the heart of Gotham City.

Quick question. I am considering making a mobster. Where does this RP stand on making OC relatives of canon characters? For example, having my character be an OC that is a member of the Falcone family.

Perfectly acceptable. For a currently played canon that wasn't part of a large Family, it'd have to be consented to by that canon's player. But the Falcone family or the like is totally doable.

All right. Sounds good. I'll think some more on my potential character.

Character 2: Mobster
== Character Bio ==
== Personal Information ==
Legal Name:Luisa Falcone
Alias:N/A
Age:23
Sexuality:Bisexual
Part of Gotham Residing In:Bank Street, between Jay Avenue and Parsons Street

== Physical Description ==
Already fairly young, Luisa has a youthful demeanor about her, giving the air of someone just out of high school. She's not the most threatening physically, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. Wearing her black hair in a ponytail when not with family, lovers, or familial lovers, Luisa generally prefers to avoid the black suits that the traditional mobster wears. She doesn't have any objection to wearing a suit, but when she has a choice about color, she prefers a dark red or blue suit, almost concealing her average-sized bosom completely, although her tight backside is usually clad in tight suitpants to show off that particular area of her anatomy. To finish the outfit, she usually wears stilettos, unless she senses that there is a possibility of ambush, in which case she wears small wedges to enable more of an opportunity to move quickly. Her eyes are normally dark green, but she has been known to wear clear contacts to change their color if she's going into "enemy territory". One thing that many people alive haven't seen is a scar on her right breast, a memento of a fight gone horribly wrong in college.

== Persona ==
Luisa is generally described as a "cold dish" or "ice queen", but in truth, she's more of a social chameleon. When "on the job", she masks her personality to be whatever she feels is appropriate for the role she is playing. When she isn't needed in a specific role, she reverts to her normal personality. Unfortunately, that normal personality is next to nonexistent. She is quick to smile, quick to joke, but anyone who knows her well know that facet of her personality is just another mask. Anyone who doesn't know her well might just be fooled. She is, after all, a mistress of blending in.

== Key Skills ==
Highly capable with melee weapons
A consummate actor, able to be whoever she needs to be

== Advantages ==
Intelligent: Luisa didn't just make it through school on her family name and money. She is quite intelligent, able to study a plan, spot most flaws, and execute the plan perfectly. There is one facet of planning she is unable to accurately pull off (see entry 3, disadvantages), but she has the knowledge of such, and will take advice on anything involving that facet. In addition, she's known to spend days studying targets, learning their weaknesses and strengths, then planning ahead to take advantage of those weaknesses.

Unscrupulous: Luisa doesn't see things as right or wrong. If it's something that needs to be done, she does it without asking questions, never doubting herself. That lack of self-doubt, lack of conscience, can leave her having the advantage. Where one person may hesitate to hurt or kill, she has no hesitation whatsoever.

Unshakeable: Luisa is not loyal to anyone, or anything, except her family. For that reason, if she is set by her family to do something, there is nothing that can be done to dissuade her. Begging and pleading will get her targets nowhere, and on the few times someone's thought to bribe her, she's taken the bribe, double-crossed the briber, then used the bribe for her own purposes. If she is told to do something, the only thing that will dissuade her is a threat, and even that will only last until the next time she strikes.

== Disadvantages ==

Sociopath/Borderline Personality Disorder: Quite simply, Luisa is a series of masks in human form. Emotions that she expresses are almost always false. While she is good at acting, she is just that, an actor. She can mask her lack of personality from acquaintances, but anyone who knows her well, or has studied up on her, will not be fooled, taking away a prime asset simply through homework.

Criminal History: Most of the Falcones have a criminal history that is mostly or entirely spotless, through careful bribes. However, Luisa is an exception. In her time away at college, she had several transgressions, and served jail time for larceny. With that blemish on her record, if any of the Falcones drop the ball, she is always going to be one of the first to be in trouble, simply because the police have something on her that they don't have on the others: priors.

Unable to Predict Reactions: Luisa understands emotions perfectly...in an intellectual way. She knows exactly how to look, talk, and act like an emotion. Where she fails is at realizing how others will react due to their emotions. She is able to perfectly predict the most logical course of action, but when it comes time to predicting how others will react, she will almost invariably fail, as she is unable to understand illogical actions. If she can see what should be done, why can't they?

== Background ==
For a while, Luisa seemed set in life. Using her uncle Carmine Falcone's money, she went through private schools, excelling in her classes even as she was set apart from the class in ability and attitude. Enrolling in a private college outside the city at the age of 18, Luisa was ready to go.

That all changed swiftly. Without her family to keep her in mind, Luisa got into trouble. After encouraging two suitors to fight over her, Luisa miscalculated the adrenaline rush on the stronger of the suitors, turning him down when he asked her back to his dorm room. When she refused calmly, he realized that she had played him for a fool. With the knife he had used in the fight, he turned on her, managing to stab her in the chest before the other suitor and nearby students could intervene.

When questioned at the hospital, Luisa put on the act of her life, tearfully telling the story of how the suitor had just gone crazy, attacking her in the mistaken belief that she had led him on. From that moment, Luisa knew that she was born to act. Unfortunately for her, the dream of going to acting school evaporated when she stole another student's wallet, emptying the cash from it before calmly handing it back. She didn't need the money, nor did she particularly want the money. She just wanted to know how it felt to steal. She put on her act again in court, claiming that she had found the wallet and was merely returning it, but the acting that had got her through her assault case uncharged failed to do the same here. Spending 6 months in jail for petty theft, as well as facing expulsion, Luisa returned home.

Once there, her family took her in. They weren't disappointed in her actions. They were disappointed in her failure to get out of trouble. For that reason, she was carefully taught how to feel. Or at least, how to pretend to feel. In actuality, the only thing she felt was boredom, except for when she was distracted, either by her lessons or taking her teachers both in and out of family to bed. Through this, she learned that she needed occupation to keep from being bored, and that was all she needed.

My wingman! Dick Grayson is totally available, and I'd certainly like to see your spin on him. As far as Edward goes, I believe we may have an unupdated claim on him. But it won't take me long to verify once my other partner in crime gets back on.
