With all of the wrongdoing coming out now of the DNC purposefully trying to sabotage Bernie's chances of winning......is there any way that he can demand recounts, or have Hillary disqualified due to the sabotage of his campaign?

Rather than concede the election to an authoritarian demagogue, in his shoes, I would say that the fight is not yet over.

Kind of like an inverse of what Cruz did. Support Clinton, but be very harsh about future policy.

What really impresses me in all this tragedy is how calm pretty much all the key players, from police to politicians remain in the face of this tragedy, cautioning patience and waiting for facts, before jumping to conclusions and milking this for cheap propaganda. I am sure there are some voices in the media who are jumping on this to denounce migrants and asylum seekers that I am just not aware of, but I find some solace in the calm projected by our police and politicians in all this madness.
Hopefully, a policy of down playing these attacks in the media and projecting a business-as-usual attitude by officials will work to slow down imitators and the like.

Wikileaks emails: Democratic officials 'plotted to expose Bernie Sanders' as an atheist

If his campaign does that they could be forced to reveal or explain any so-called dirty tricks they were planning as well.

I know people have a hate for Hillary and I'm not all that enthused about her candidacy myself.  However, politics is what it is and none of them are playing the game differently than the others or differently than in years past.  They will all do anything they feel needs to be done to win.

I'm also not too assured that Wikileaks is all that truthful and doesn't have their own agenda.

What amazes me are the number of SOs who forgive and stay with liars and cheaters and have the nerve to criticize her for not dumping Bill years ago and scuttling her chances to move forward with her political career.  The double standard has not been abolished.

Just watched the introductory speech for Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia.  Putting aside all the pre-convention rhetoric I came away with a positive feeling as opposed to the negativity of the GOP version of what they painted as a disgusting country.

And I agree with this. I don't think anything wikileaks publishes could be treated as evidence given the chain of custody. Anyone could have tainted a few of these messages before publishing them. I think you would need to somehow confirm the authenticity of the messages - ie. by forcing members of the DNC to hand over their messages and see if they match.

As for the DNC being biased against Bernie, I'm not sure if that's illegal or not,  and if it is, does that action bear any significant consequence. HIllary's fans will probably vote for her no matter what, but I could see this news pissing off a lot of Bernie's followers whether the  authenticity of the leaked emails are verified or not. Perhaps some of them will think twice about supporting Hillary.

To put it bluntly: the man was escorted off the plane by gun-armed security... all because he was dark-skinned and some woman was afraid of him. Next, he was detained for *three hours*. And then, despite the fact that the security services cleared him as being not a threat whatsoever, he is still blacklisted by that particular flight operator.

From a CNN article on the DNC/Wikileaks topic:
QuoteBut Baltimore mayor and DNC Secretary Stephanie Rawlings-Blake denied any suggestion that Clinton's camp was treated more favorably by the committee.
"My expectation is beyond your opinion about a candidate, that you act evenly. All of the officers took a pledge of neutrality and I honored that, and I take that very seriously," Rawlings-Blake told CNN's Poppy Harlow. She added, "I know that the chair will hold those employees accountable if they're found to have acted outside of that neutrality and even-handedness."

As far as I understand these things, political parties are essentially clubs that can govern themselves as they see fit, according to whatever rules they give themselves. I am not so sure there is anything illegal going on there in the sense of laws having been broken, as long as only internal party rules have been violated.

I'm slowly coming to the opinion that if you are uncomfortable with someone on your flight you should ask to be removed and reschedule on another flight or just stay home.  I've had fellow travelers on every flight I've made in recent years who appear to be of Middle-Eastern ethnicity and can't imagine doing what some of these complainers have done.

There was one guy not long ago who was detained for a bit for doing advanced mathematics. (Writing in strange symbols, having a vaguely Mediterranean appearance, and not being talkative is suspicious behavior.)  The good news is that he was allowed back on the plane after the two hour delay.  His seatmate who reported him chose not to re-board.

I'm not surprised that such things happen.
If I forget my bag somewhere, or someone Middle Eastern does, people will react very differently.
Many times I notice that security guys check black or Middle Eastern people but let me in... Of course it's not always like this and sometimes they will check even little French kids.

Wasserman Schultz [ Chairperson of Democratic National Committee ] resigning as party leader
http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/22/politics/dnc-wikileaks-emails/

Maybe it's just my cynicism, but it looks like she is stepping down only to draw the negative attention away from Hillary. A few quotes in this article suggest that Obama was not at all opposed to this corruption:

Quote from: http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/22/politics/dnc-wikileaks-emails/Obama issued a statement, saying, "For the last eight years, Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has had my back. This afternoon, I called her to let her know that I am grateful."

That doesn't sound like the sort of thing a president should be saying about someone who may be guilty of voting fraud.

That's exactly what she is doing, no cynicism needed - it's even explicitly in the article:

Quote
Wasserman Schultz had faced intense pressure over the weekend to quit her post, several Democratic leaders told CNN, urging her to quell a growing controversy threatening to disrupt Clinton's nominating convention.

As for Obama, it doesn't necessarily carry that he 'wasn't opposed to the corruption', just that he is grateful to her for everything she's done. If that gratitude includes the fact that she's become the Democratic sacrificial goat to protect their presidential candidate (voluntarily or otherwise) as her last contribution, it's just solid intra-party politics.

TaintedAndDelish

Perhaps. It just doesn't seem right that he should imply intentionally or not that he supports this corruption. Interestingly enough, Wikileaks has an email from Donna Brazile, ( Schultz's replacement ) voicing her own bias against Sanders.

At the end of the day he is still a Politician. and like 80 to 90% of them either like corruption or benefit from it enough to not really actively fight against it.

Beguile's Mistress

What puzzles me is how some people are allowed to have and express negative opinions of other politicians and candidates and some people are called names and hated on for doing the same thing.

It takes a certain amount of naivete to think only one person or group is doing this and that is the person or group we have a negative opinion of.  Politics has always been a snake pit and not very many people go untouched by the dirt members of their own party throw around.  Experience working in the political system teaches a lot.

Also, the fact that 'Rupert Murdoch has great respect for [Ailes] and everything [he's] done' is not giving me any higher opinion of Ailes.

Accused corruption, mind. It's obvious assuming the emails are authentic that the DNC was favoring Clinton, but it's yet to be proven they actually took action to bias the primaries in her favor. I'm as happy to believe politicians are corrupt scum as anyone, but I've also got a firm belief in the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law. For that matter, Obama's thinking about his career as well, he's the 5th youngest President we've had and has close to half his life left. Denouncing DWS might earn him public opinion points, but those don't matter when he isn't president anymore, and it would burn bridges in his own party. For that matter, he's still a Democract, and visible internal strife - from the White House down, no less - would be raw meat in the pirahna-filled river during election season. I'd have lost respect for Obama if he made any public denunciation here, because it would show he cared more about his own self-image than the potential risks to the country's future.

So yeah, it was a voluntary sacrifice. If they were genuinely cutting her loose, she'd be out of a job. But at least now she can be honest about her affiliations.

One of the absolute bigwigs of the Chinese state army is jailed for life on charges of corruption and accepting bribes. As vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, Guo Boxiong was the key operative in charge of the day-to-day movements of the Peaople's Liberation Army for a temnure of about ten years. It is the worlds biggest standing army of course, and he would report directly to the president.

Guo had been retired for a while before he was arrested and prosecuted, but his son has also been on the bench of the accused in a separate trial. The charges against General Guo involved the equal of around twelve million dollars in diverted money, funds and bribes. Might sound steep, but corruption is more or less a normal thing in the top tiers of the Chinese state and army and seems to get condoned a lot by the party, so it is surmised that Guo's real crimes were more to do with what top people in the party he would have supported and who he was against.
